Have been working with Juan and his crew on a number of projects. The first project was to have all the old landscaping (yews, junipers, barberry) around the house removed with mulch put down. Next we re-sodded the backyard and had all the old yews and yuccas removed along with a 30 ft pine tree that was too close to the power lines. Recently we re-sodded the front yard, installed a retaining wall and planted new shrubs (gold flame spirea, burning bushes) along the perimeter with knock out roses in the back yard. The next project is to install a privacy fence in the back yard, relocate some clematis plants, add knock out roses by the clematis and finish off with various perennials. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed working with Juan and his crew. Polite, professional and hardworking, he and his crew do an excellent job. Juan quotes each project as we go and lets us plan in stages. He offers suggestions and options if have questions and makes sure we are satisfied with the project - he went out of his way to find the gold flame spirea simply because my mom had her heart sent on them. Juan came by and seemed like a nice guy. I needed my back yard sawed. He left his workers to saw my back yard they were drinking on the job very unprofessional but as long as they do a good job I didn't care. So they put the saw on top of some mulch and tarp that I had instead of them clearing the area up. I called the owner he said he would come by never did called and called again no response. I was really bummed out about the job because Juan seemed to be nice. The saw dried out in some areas because they didn't clean up the area. They lost a good customer I don't recommend this company read more

Juan bummed me out (because he seemed like a nice guy) because he wasted a good amount of my time. Last summer I had two fairly big residential jobs. He showed up at the first one and took a look around saying that he would give me a great price and that I would be very happy with his work. He said that I should send him the plant choices and design that I want and he would send me a quote but he had no suggestions whatsoever. House No 2 - I drove for 55 minutes to get to the house for our meeting. I got there right on time and called him to see how his schedule was running. He said that he forgot he was going to meet me and he was really busy so I should just email him my plans and plants. Wrote up what I would like on both houses. Emailed to him. No response or quote. Talked to him on phone. Emailed again. Waited four weeks. No response or quote. Emailed again. Gave up on him. Bottom line - don't bother! read more

Juan came out to my house and gave me a very detailed estimate. I signed off on the estimate about 30 days because i needed to negotiate outrageous monthly price $800. After we agree to a non-robbery price, I was told they would come wednesday morning. I called and texted a few times to get a time frame, but no one answered or replied. The crew ended up showing at 3:30pm. All they did was cut the grass. The first visit was supposed to be a thorough spring cleaning. They did nothing that was discussed in the proposal. So after I arrived home from work, I called Juan. He was very abrasive and said he starts off by saying "I was lucky he took me as a customer" because I signed off on the proprosal a month after it was given to me. He went on to say he was busy already, servicing 150 homes, and he doesn't don't need mine. He had no problem collecting money from me, but according to him. I was lucky he accepted me as a customer. The service is horrible. after coincidentally speaking to one of his other customers who turned out to be a patient of mine, I came to realize Juan is not only arrogant and rude, but a pathological liar and always has a lame excuse for why he didn't do what he was supposed to do STAY AWAY, he is a rip off and a jerk Faris read more

I'm so confused by the fantastic reviews on this place. Maybe it's their actual work that's great? It's a shame I can't get a hold of them to find out. I've sent e-mails (based on their website's encouragement to do so), and called many times. I'd leave messages, but their voicemail is full. I've got money to throw around on landscaping this year, and this company pops up first no matter where I search landscapers in my area. Business must be great. My first call into Sunnyview was answered right away. I was told I would be contacted in a couple of days for an estimate. I never got that call. A little over a week later I called again and left a message. I did receive a call back but my initial info given wasn't remembered. They were to come by at the end of the week to review the work to be done and give a quote. So I waited, then waited some more. 2 weeks later I tried to follow up with another call but their voice mailbox is full so I sent a text message. No response. Here's the thing..they may do very good work (I wouldn't know) but if you are non-responsive and unreliable then it really doesn't matter. read more

I made contact with Sunnyview after seeing the the great job of tree cutting they did for my neighbor. We needed a tree climber to cut a large branch 75 feet off the ground that broke off and was hung up in the tree. We HIGHLY recommend Sunnyview Landscaping. We live in the Beverly neighborhood and used Sunnyview Landscaping to do a full-yard clean-up. We could not imagine being any happier with their service than we are now. There were a couple of delays due to severe weather, but Juan (the owner) was in constant communication with us to reschedule based on what worked for us and what the weather would allow. Once Mother Nature let them work, the three guys were amazing. Juan walked the entire yard (lots of flower beds) and we talked about each section and what could be done to make it neater. Then they got to work and they did everything - pruning, tree-trimming, weeding, mulching, created a new natural edge to our grass, etc. It looks amazing! And boy do they work hard. Frankly, I'm not sure that they ever took a single break in the two days they were at our house. They did such a good job on our yard that our neighbor came over and asked them to mow her lawn, too. It's been three weeks now and we're still so happy with our yard - it truly looks brand new. We are so happy with their work that we are already talking to Juan about another project. Very unprofessional. Never follows up. My problem with them right now is not just the fact that it has been 2 weeks since I originally called and the job is not done but that I am never updated on what is going on. I had originally called on November 11 for leaf removal and Juan said he would get me scheduled. Did not hear anything for a week and called back mid following week. He then says he will schedule me for 11/24 and will come between 12-2pm. We had some light snow flurries but nothing drastic that would make it impossible to do the job. Well, 2pm came and went and no call. I had to text him to ask if I can get rescheduled. I then text Juan yesterday asking if someone would be able to come out then or today since weather was looking clear. He said it is too wet out and that he will call me this morning. Well, it is now almost 1pm and no call...shocker. I am hosting Thanksgiving so needed these leaves gone so now I am out there busting my butt and taking time away from work to get most of them removed. Even if he called and said that it will take them a little more time and the cost would be more I would have taken that into consideration. I contacted Sunnyview over the winter in anticipation of a new backyard lawn design for spring, and they were quick to respond and stay in contact until the weather finally cooperated. Juan came out in the snow to take a look, and then again before beginning the job in April. He and his team worked incredibly hard for 2 days, doing a full spring cleanup and implementing the design ideas that he had, including any suggestions I had along the way. Booked them to do a gutter cleaning 2 months in advance. Scheduled the appointment for my day off of work. They said "that's perfect, we have nothing scheduled that day" 1 week later got a call saying they were overbooked and needed to change my day. Reminded them about my day off and they said "that's right, I remember that, don't worry we will move someone else around" Day of the gutter cleaning, they were supposed to be at my house at 7 am. I called 5 times for 4 hours and no one ever showed up to do my gutters or call me back. Around 2 pm, it started to rain and the owner JUAN called me to tell me that they couldn't do the cleaning because of the rain. I told him that the order was for 7 am and it wasn't raining then He rescheduled for today Nov 13 at 7 am again. Called at 7:10 to tell me they wouldn't do the gutters because my gutters were probably frozen. I told him that he didn't know that unless he came to the house which he then stated, if he came to the house he would stll charge me for the cleaning even if he didn't do it. I don't think they wanted to travel up north, so he should not have accepted that order in the first place. Now I wasted 2 days messing around with this hack and still need my gutters cleaned. Amazon local gladly refunded my money. Don't use this company unless you plan on wasting your time and being aggravated. read more
