Obviously, Lisa and her team did a fantastic job with the landscaping. She presented me with three different design options, worked with me to stay within my budget, and then executed the project exactly as she explained she would. She even moved my project up on the schedule after I mentioned I was planning to sell my house soon, which I really appreciated. What really stood out, though, wasn't just the quality of the work, it was the communication. It was clear, transparent, and consistent before, during, and even after the project. That level of professionalism is surprisingly rare in the home improvement industry. I own a house that was built in 1887, and over the past eight years I've hired countless companies for projects including a new deck, porch, fencing, painting, paver installation, and just about everything else you can think of. One of the most frustrating parts of working with companies in this industry is the lack of organization and communication. They're usually quick to collect the deposit, but after that you're left constantly following up for project start dates, updates, and progress. Working with Lisa was the complete opposite. She was organized, proactive, and always kept me informed. It was honestly refreshing. If you want to roll the dice and deal with the same frustrations I experienced with two other landscaping companies before finding Lisa, go for it. She then took those and made three very detailed designs in video format. From there we went back and forth a few times as I wanted a combination of designs. Our backyard started as a rough, outdated space with an old shed that had become a major eyesore, a lawn overrun with weeds, and a large amount of old concrete that needed to be removed. One of the biggest challenges was that all of the demolition debris had to be taken out through a very tight access point, but the crew handled it efficiently without any issues. From start to finish, Daniel and his team were organized, professional, and incredibly hardworking. They removed the shed, demolished and hauled away all of the old concrete, cleared the overgrown lawn, and completely transformed the space. The quality of the materials they used was excellent. They built a beautiful stone patio exactly the way we envisioned it, installed an elegant pathway accented with Mexican river rock, and created two separate areas--one for our pool and another with fresh sod for a small lawn. There are dead bushes and plants everywhere and mud for grass surrounding every street of our property. Recently, my front patio had to be taken up to remove some tree branches and roots and Semmer was responsible for repairing the patio following this. They did a horrendous job and I have since had someone trip and fall because the bricks are sticking out of the ground that they left. I had our HOA representative's "friend" from Semmer come out because I was so dissatisfied with the work and he was so rude and condescending. His workers had actually broken the plastic framing around my patio that I paid for and slashed my lighting cord in half. He told me that they would fix these issues and then, nothing.
