In a group chat with my wife and me (which I'm happy to share), Mark pivoted from answering our questions about the quote to bragging about being a "rich guy," lecturing us on wealth, and suggesting we take out a loan to fund more landscaping work with him. That is not a quote I'm paraphrasing for effect -- that is what the president of this company put in writing to a young couple who asked him to mow their lawn. The breaking point: Mark insisted it was mandatory that we let him rip out every bush along the back of our house. When my wife politely asked whether she could try to save them herself this spring and have that line removed from the quote, his response was an attitude shift followed by "I quit" -- at 10 p.m., the night before our $3,000 spring clean-up was scheduled to begin. He has not responded since. I'm a small business owner myself and I do not enjoy writing this. But if you are a homeowner in Elmhurst looking for a landscaper, you deserve to know how this company treats paying customers before you waste your time. Look elsewhere.

Her and her team are absolutely amazing. She starts by coming to your property to get an idea of what you want. While she does all the measuring (and I mean ALL), she has you fill out a dream sheet to figure out what your taste is. Less than a week later I had several designs to pick from and then could make changes. This video walk through of the design really helped us picture what it would look like. I'm very difficult to work with but she always took it in stride. Every change and last minute change was no issue. As she was picking out the flowers, trees, etc from her suppliers, she was texting us to ensure it was exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, the installation completely failed to meet that standard, and the customer service follow-up was non-existent. The discharge point they installed sits in a depression, meaning the water constantly overflows and sheets directly across the public sidewalk instead of draining properly. This created a slip hazard and left a permanent puddle in the yard. Because the water was left to sit stagnant, my grass is now dying and turning orange from iron bacteria. When I reached out to Daniel with photos of the flooding, he told me to 'wait 10 days' for the ground to drain. I waited the full timeframe, but the problem persisted. I reached out multiple times afterward to get a plan together to fix the grading or extend the line. Daniel completely stopped responding and abandoned the project. I am now having to hire a second landscaping company to fix the problem.
