My shaved ice with a combination of ice cream

Huge variety ! From sweet to savory, icy or creamy. I loved my ice cream, kindest employees. Very clean! I came from Riverside just to try it out. It also seemed to be a family which I can always appreciate in a business!

We had the best experience ever with these guys! Luis and Nery were professional, courteous and friendly. We were celebrating a birthday with about 50 people, including many children, and there was never a line. They had so many flavor options and everyone remarked at how much they loved it. Would definitely recommend! They provided the perfect addition to our party! 10/10!!

My partner and I were really craving some shaved ice so we of course used yelp and this place came up first or second closest to us. We walked in to see there are very clear menus set up all over. They have milkshakes, mangonada, and milkshakes. You can order from their menu or create your own! He ordered a Chocolate Crunch Malt with a sizzle of chocolate syrup. She ordered a shaved ice with Blue Raspberry, Pjna Colada, Cherry, and condensed milk with pineapple coconut ice cream. Both were seriously delicious! They use thrifty's ice cream so you know the ice cream will be that same great flavor. Above all the staff was amazing. We instantly felt welcomed in a home environment. The woman serving us was so nice. She seemed like the owner. Definitely come check this gem out

I am addicted. I've often seen the sign when I drove by and decided to stop in one hot day with my son. I had the Green Tea Ice Cream with Vanilla Shaved Ice (now combo #3). It brought me back to my memories of Matsumoto Shaved Ice in Hawaii 4 years ago. Since then, I crave it daily and have taken my family and friends here. If you love shaved ice this is the place for you!! No place better! However if you like good customer service pray the the woman with black hair is not there. She is not only incredible rude but speaks to her customers and coworkers like they are a piece of crap. Customer service is no stars! Shaved ice 5 stars. read more

My wife and I walked in and got the feel it was like "Get Shaved" out in the San Fernando valley......just with no annoying line.But the price was cheaper and I feel we got more for our money. Definitely will come back! If you get a chance, there is a cool painting on the side of the hall way covering the wall, which I would recommend they put out in the main lobby! Dont hide that amazing art work! read more

Great customer service! I brought my kids here for the first time last week and they absolutely loved it!!!!! I personally prefer shaved ice over raspados! This place is a must try! They have a mangoneada that's so good!!!! Tuesday and Thursday is they day to go! Double punch day on the punch card! Awesome! They do a nice combo which is ice cream and shaved ice! I'm stoked at the thought of coming here! Tuesday and Thursday are double punch days. The #3 combo is my choice " The Big Stick". Don't come at closing time ( as you shouldn't with any establishment) because its poor judgement and you get the service you rightfully deserve!!! I love the staff, they're human and real. To all the negative Yelpers, stick to Cold Stone, its more your type of pretentiousness. OMG! I can't wait till I get my #3 again!!!!!! read more

This is the best Shaved Ice I ever had in my life! I have tried other places and the ice is not as fine as this one. Nor the service. The lady that took care of me was flexible and cordial and generous with the flavor i asked for. Their menu offers a flavor for everyone. I can only describe every bite is full of deliciousness and just when you thing you are almost done...them you are surplice with ice cream at the bottom. This is the perfect combination of flavor and texture I was craving for. I love this place and will recommend it to everyone is looking for a refreshing taste of heaven! read more

One of my favorite places, but every time I come in here the girls are just beyond rude. Ether they won't acknowledge me when I walk it or just stare at me and not say a word. I came in today and no one came out for about 5 minutes but they were in the back talking and laughing. I got a shaved ice with strawberry, raspberry with condensed milk. I got charged for the condensed milk but didn't get it on my ice. That's my favorite part. read more

Hosting 2 children and their mom from Korea for the summer so thought they would enjoy the experience. They took a picture for the memory and were quickly admonished for taking a photo...seriously??? what's the harm? Guess they are worried that someone might steal the business model, but "News Flash"...nothing novel here. Hawaiian shaved ice has been around forever and if the "New Orleans Sno-Balls" ever comes out this way you will see what real shaved ice is about...twice as many flavors and more generous portions. The unfriendly atmosphere will ensure this place doesn't survive the current economy. read more

I went here with 3 people just because they had thriftys ice cream . Real bad idea !!! Chocolate malted crunch is my fav but not here . The malt balls were so old they were disintegrating in my ice cream . Chunks of something was in the ice cream also left really bad after taste in my mouth , maybe the ice cream sits there so long because people usually go for the shaved ice . Whatever u do don't order ice cream . The other people I was with got different flavor ice cream and something was wrong with all of them read more

Didn't like the ice cream that much, but the shaved ice is Amazing! the sour combo with sherbert and shaved ice is very tasty! It wasn't crowded and server( young lady) was very nice. The other reviews speak of an older lady who is rude- i didn't meet her, but there was a older lady who was in the back staring at me as if she could be rude. You know when you try something new & after, or even during your experience, you keep repeating "I'm definitely coming back" Well, this is one of those spots! The delicious syrups cling on to the feather light ice & gives it an artistic look. I get the rainbow (small) with green tea ice cream for only $3.25. There's plenty of goodness in the small, but since this ice is soooo irresistibly delicious, you might want to opt for the large for $4.25. You get three syrup flavors & what looks like two scoops of your choice ice cream. I'd show you a picture of my treat, but it feels as if taking a picture would take way too long for me to devour my little bowl of heaven. It's best to know what you want before you get to the cashier because everything is made to order & if it's busy, you'll wait about 5-10 minutes. I'd wait as long as it took, but that's me. If you're overwhelmed by their chiices, they offer 12 preselected combos (on back board). The #4 comes with yellow syrup (banana favor) & red syrup (strawberry flavor) with vanilla ice cream, small, for only $3.25 (my daughter's fav). The colors are as vivid as they taste on this one! I'll try my very best to take a picture of my next treat so you'll get an idea of its unbelievable goodness. read more

The closest thing I have found to Hawaiian shaved ice out here in a LONG time. Nothing compares to the real thing but it definitely does the trick! Tons of great options and flavors to choose from, very reasonable prices and overall ok atmosphere. Nothing crazy or over the top, but it's just a shaved ice place so my expectations weren't too high anyway. Worth it! read more

I absolutely love Below Zero Shaved Ice! It's super inexpensive and the portions are big whether you get an ice cream cup, shaved ice or a combo. I always get a combo which comes with both shaved ice and ice cream + whatever syrup flavors you want. There are so many syrup flavors to choose from and they have combo suggestions as well. This place never disappoints... My only complaint are the store hours. Can't you just stay open until 8:30 or 9? read more

If you're a fan of Classic shave ice, then this is the spot for you. Prices are very good $3.00 for a large with the flavors, and they have a huge selection of different flavors. They also have ice cream but I stick with the shave ice. They mix-in the ice cream with shave ice for some interesting combinations. Not enough seating if you plan to eat it there, and when it's busy the wait can get pretty long, but it's worth the wait for the deliciously cold goodness. read more

I like how they put lids it's easier to eat with no mess! Really smooth ice (I should say "creamy" ice) with tons of flavors to choose from. Double stamps on Tuesdays. Give them a call because their business hours change and this Summer they usually stay open up until 10pm! read more

They have ice cream, shaved ice, or a combination! I do not recommend the Snickers combo. Trust me, not good!! They have a frequent client card. Service wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't bad. This place is amazing, the customer service is great but the shave ice is the best in the area. It's smooth and not at all chunky. I love watermelon with vanilla ice cream. My second visit was last night and the product was good. Not quite Hawaii but the closest you can get in So California. What was missing was Aloha. The servers were grumpy and made us feel like they were doing us a favor. We were also kind of rushed out. Not good. Hopefully they just had a bad day. Boo. read more

I got cake batter, vanilla, and Dole pineapple with almonds and strawberries, and it was really good and refreshing. My friend got the coffee, peanut butter and another flavor (I forgot the name), but she said hers was really good too. The only thing is it can get a little pricey depending on how much you put in your cup, but overall I still enjoyed it. It was the perfect after-dinner dessert and I'd definitely go back.

Perfect balance between all the elements, and perfect size to share as a sweet treat. Very tiny inside, but clean and well kept. They put 2 different types of boba balls, one which popped in your mouth. So delicious. Their menu had a lot of options of teas, smoothis, and bites. Now that I'm pregnant, this is the one craving I need satisfied every time--and Cookies n Pints never disappoints. ahhh this place hit the spot after my boyfriend and I had dinner in VG. Their shaved ice is to die for! We walk in and we get greeted by I'm not sure which worker, but hey at least we were acknowledged :) Their prices are very reasonable, and their shaved ice is just exactly what you think of when you think of "shaved ice". The shaved ice was finely shaved and the syrup was a good amount. Not much difference from any other shaved ice for just regular shaved ice. They have churro though and other toppings that may be good to try. They also have rite aid ice cream, but missing the coconut pineapple? Seems a little cramped inside and service is a little slow, but good enough shaved ice to just stop on by any day. 3.5/5 read more
