My shaved ice with a combination of ice cream

Huge variety ! From sweet to savory, icy or creamy. I loved my ice cream, kindest employees. Very clean! I came from Riverside just to try it out. It also seemed to be a family which I can always appreciate in a business!

We had the best experience ever with these guys! Luis and Nery were professional, courteous and friendly. We were celebrating a birthday with about 50 people, including many children, and there was never a line. They had so many flavor options and everyone remarked at how much they loved it. Would definitely recommend! They provided the perfect addition to our party! 10/10!!

My partner and I were really craving some shaved ice so we of course used yelp and this place came up first or second closest to us. We walked in to see there are very clear menus set up all over. They have milkshakes, mangonada, and milkshakes. You can order from their menu or create your own! He ordered a Chocolate Crunch Malt with a sizzle of chocolate syrup. She ordered a shaved ice with Blue Raspberry, Pjna Colada, Cherry, and condensed milk with pineapple coconut ice cream. Both were seriously delicious! They use thrifty's ice cream so you know the ice cream will be that same great flavor. Above all the staff was amazing. We instantly felt welcomed in a home environment. The woman serving us was so nice. She seemed like the owner. Definitely come check this gem out

We love Below Zero... lived by it for over a year, before we realized what it was and is. Thought it was a water store! They need to advertise, set regular hours, not based on weather condition.. Some of us like ice cream and shave ice even when it's cold outside. Not much seating and the newer girls working are very slow... it is worth the wait. read more

I always get the X-Large Big Stick for around 5$. Seriously, this place is amazing. Such amazing prices for such amazing shaved ice. Two scoops of ice cream one on top and one at the bottom. The flavors are utterly delicious. Seriously, forget Creamstry, bid farewell to yogurtland, and who's still going to Coldstones? Come here!!! I'll always take the 10-15min drive for this place. One behavior that really rubs me the wrong way: business owners/managers criticizing employees in public, right in front of customers. As a customer, I immediately feel uncomfortable and humiliated for the employee. During my visit to Below Zero two weeks ago, a female owner or manager sharply disparaged an employee in front of several customers. The offense? Asking the manager to clarify the price of an item. The manager wan't much friendlier with the customers. The shave ice was fine. But I'd prefer to eat my desserts in a happy, upbeat environment. read more

THis place is fantastic!!! The prices are very good, the ice cream/shaved ice combos are soo yummie! The people who work here are very friendly and they let us try a sample of the dill pickle favor shaved ice. They also gave us a stamp card and you get double stamps on Tuesday and Thursday.... The 1st time I came to this place I was back 3 more times that week. The ice literally melts in your mouth. My husband and son are now hooked as well lol. Its the best shaved ice I have ever had!!! Great little shave ice place. My friend (who's from Hawai'i, so she knows her shave ice!) and I have been saying we need to try this place ever since the banners first went up saying "Shaved Ice, Coming Soon!" Sadly, my friend and I are slackers, so we just got around to trying it yesterday. As far as shave ice places go, this one is simple, but does what they do very well. They have probably between 30-40 syrup flavors, including some really random ones like "Silver Fox" (almond vanilla), "Mojito", and "Tiramisu", in addition to the more common flavors. In addition to the shave ice, they have a selection of ice cream (maybe 15 flavors?) that they use for "combinations". I got a large regular shave ice (about $3.50?) and it was huuuuuuuge! I got the Mojito, Mango, and Tidal Wave (tropical fruit flavor combination), but I think next time I'll stick with just the Mango and Tidal Wave. It was exactly what I've been looking for. The staff were really friendly, and even let us hang out a little later while they closed up so we could finish. (We showed up just a bit before closing.) The only downsides are that they close kind of early (7pm in the winter, 8pm in the summer) and they don't have a wide range of toppings like a lot of the local fro-yo/shave ice places do. That's not a huge problem for me, since I really only ever get syrups, but I do know it'll keep my boyfriend from going with me. read more

Was there just a few hours ago... very bad and rude treatment. When we showed our previous visit "frequent buyer card" the girl told us that they NO LONGER HONOR THAT CARD !!! and asked us if 'we wanted it back' !! For what - I have no idea . All the punches were FOR NOT !!! When I asked her, how come? Rather than talk to me politely about it... she told me she was not the boss and makes the rules. She rudely pointed to a sheet of paper on the counter and asked to me read it for myself ! When another customer who heard my complaint, voiced their concern.. the girl did not miss a beat... treated them the same way. We all left the place saying aloud to each other... 'what is going on here !!! ' If this kind of service goes on. . . many will not return. read more

What on earth is a Hawaiian shave ice place doing in the IE? Beats me! I've only had Hawaiian quality shave ice twice in the past five years in California, this makes number three! The first time was at the 1st Yelp Korean bbq festival -- I tried tracking that vendor down to a nonexistent storefront in Malibu after driving from Culver City.. piss me off! The next time was at the Get Shaved truck in Hacienda, and now here. They had all the weird flavors I wanted, like Dreamsicle, Tiger's Blood and something I've never even heard of, Silver Fox (which makes me think of Dorothy from Golden Girls for some reason). Anyway, they grind the ice SUPER fine here, it'll melt from you just breathing on it! One thing that was kind of disappointing was that they smash a lid down on the very airy ice after adding the syrups, thus disrespecting the fineness of the ice. Oh well, whatevs, this place is really great, would definitely come back. They also have a BOGO special on Thursdays~ read more

I don't have much to say about this place. We almost passed this place because the sign for it is so small. As soon as i walked in i knew this place was going to be mediocre. Limited seating, annoying blue walls, and the atmosphere wasn't too welcoming either. Because of the last-minute cancellation, I was left scrambling without food for my open house. After realizing I had seen the posts, I was blocked on social media instead of receiving an apology or explanation. Unfortunately, I will not be using this company again.

ahhh this place hit the spot after my boyfriend and I had dinner in VG. Their shaved ice is to die for! We walk in and we get greeted by I'm not sure which worker, but hey at least we were acknowledged :) Their prices are very reasonable, and their shaved ice is just exactly what you think of when you think of "shaved ice". The store was very clean, and their service was quick and friendly! Definitely always a good place to stop by and try out, you won't be disappointed! read more

The shaved ice was finely shaved and the syrup was a good amount. Not much difference from any other shaved ice for just regular shaved ice. They have churro though and other toppings that may be good to try. They also have rite aid ice cream, but missing the coconut pineapple? Seems a little cramped inside and service is a little slow, but good enough shaved ice to just stop on by any day. 3.5/5 read more

New to Yelp! So everyone always tells me that I need to look at yelp so i do but I never leave reviews. So here I go. Brought the wife and kids in and it was great. Recomend the orange dreamsicle flavored one and or the Root beer float. read more

Best shave ice outside of Hawaii! Love this place! Whenever we have a craving for Hawaiian Shave Ice this is where we go. Love it! So good! Also, the owners are so sweet and have great customer service. read more
