Still, I ended up using Bellweather for a job and was very happy with the service provided so I feel I owe it to Serge to give his business some props. I had Serge out to take down 2 sickly dogwoods and remove 4 stumps from my back yard. He turned the smaller limbs to mulch and removed the waste, the larger limbs and trunk were cut up and left in a pile for me to use as firewood. Typical great experience: timely, prompt, responsive, and reasonably priced. That said, it's the little things that I was impressed with. Serge had to grind a stump that was in close proximity to my above ground swimming pool. I wasn't home at the time, but he managed to find some construction material around my house (from some demolition work I was doing) and surrounded the pool with the materials to protect it from any possible thrown rocks or splinters. I really appreciated that he took the initiative and felt he had my interests (beyond just the job at hand) in mind. Also, Serge had to move several things around in my messy yard that I didn't realize would be in his way. He could have complained or asked me to move things around, but he never mentioned it. I hired Serge (Sarge) to take down five trees: two maples, and three alders. He called ahead to confirm appointments for the quote, and for the day of service. He was prompt, professional, and as an added bonus - personable. I found him on the internet. Ours is not a particularly difficult property, but there are some considerations for felling hazards. Together, we reviewed each individual situation; arrived at a strategy - and he performed the work ... flawlessly. He and his partner, Dan, have been working together long enough to anticipate each other's moves. Much of the work happened without conversation or debate. It was a pleasure to watch them in action. We have had Serge out in the past for a tree removal very close to our house and most recently (September 1st 2013) I had to have 4 very large cottonwood trees removed and it had to be done with care and precision as not to destroy fencing pavement etc. The trees were very large and required climbing and limbing. Serge also did some "windowing" and branch removal of some fir trees to allow for more light and it worked great. I am very impressed with the expertise and professional manner of the job. I contacted Bellweather Tree Service to take down two very large, and as it turned out, menacing trees that I found simply frightening. Serge, the owner, and his helper Mike agreed that the trees were frightening, but these guys weren't frightened. They methodically went about dealing with them, despite the crazy leans and angles and rotten wood that scared away other tree guys, who told me it was too dangerous a job. When the going gets tough, you want some tough guys to get the job done, nd Serge and Mike got a very tough and difficult job done for me. We have had Serge out 4 times in the past few years to bring down several dead, dangerous and difficult trees. Serge, of Bellweather Tree Service, did a FANTASTIC job on our trees. We had a hemlock and two cedars rotting &/or leaning toward our house. We called him on a Friday, he came out and gave an estimate that day, and cut down our trees that Monday. He was fast, personable, reasonably-priced, and skilled. He even took the time to talk to our two-year old who loves chainsaws. We have a lot in Duvall that had an Alder grow up into the utility lines and the neighbor was worried that more of it would come down in windy weather like it had earlier this year in a storm and damage her car or house. Sarge did a great job to bring it down without lowering the lines. I have very large fir tree on the other side of the property that Sarge informed me that the fungus growing at the base is eating away at it and should come down... I live in King county and I needed some of my trees cut down as they were old and diseased. I contacted three tree companies and Serge from Bellweather Tree Service gave me the best quote. Serge arrived early on the appointed day and went straight to work. In a little more than 6 hours, he and his crew had cut down 7 trees and cleaned up the yard. Contacted Bellweather about a very large Fir (110' tall) that was dying and was a great danger to our house and the neighbor's house. Serge and Danny carefully took down the Fir and several other dead trees on the property. They also did additional clean up which we appreciated. Serge not only did an awesome job on the difficult trees he took out for us, but went above and beyond what was charged for. He cut the trees into 2' rounds, he took out an extra stump for free.
