Installation just finished on a four-unit Quilt mini-split system. Very new product and I'm excited about the aesthetics, usability and efficiency. My experience with Bellows has been an interesting one. TLDR; highly recommended and check out the Quilt system! - - - I had originally scheduled an estimator to come out an give a price on replacing a whole house gas furnace with a heat pump system but was also considering a multi-head mini-split system. The technician who came out was knowledgable and introduced me to the Quilt system. He was not pushy at all, simply said that it was a new system that showed a lot of promise. After reading a bit more about it, I was sold! The promise of efficiency was intriguing and the usability and aesthetics sealed the deal. It took about a month to really get things going, but once they started, the installation team was great! Very professional, efficient and tidy. On the third day of installation, I had inquired about the condenser unit location. It was placed in a prominent and highly visible location at the front of the house and I thought there was a good alternate location - moving it back about 5' and rotating it 90 degrees. I definitely missed the window of time when this should have been asked, and to move it would require some additional work. The initial response was not empathetic or customer satisfaction- minded, the quote for the change order was prohibitively high and I ended the phone call feeling very frustrated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Within minutes, one of the owners, was on the phone. Chelsea put on a MASTERCLASS in conflict resolution. She made a personal connection, approached the situation with humility and grace, quickly establishing empathy in both directions[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chelsea found a delicate balance between defending her business and wanting to help find a solution by sharing more detailed information about the systems and installation process, and asking questions about why I wanted to change the location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like most customer-service facing professionals, she articulated that she wanted me to be happy with the product and service and that the company would make it right. But unlike the majority of those people, it did not come across as condescending - she was genuine, willing to explore options, and ultimately took the time to gather more information and see what options were actually available. The installation manager, Del, came out the next morning, worked with the installers to find an efficient solution to move the unit, and the system was completed within the original schedule. The two-man installation team ended up working a little later, and even on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend, showed professionalism and patience in testing the system, cleaning up, and making sure all of my questions were answered before calling the job complete. Ultimately, I am very satisfied with my Bellow's experience and would recommend. I am very impressed with Chelsea and her handling of the situation. Sorry to say, four years later I contacted Bellows to troubleshoot an operating issue with that high-end QuietCool Stealth Pro X whole house fan they installed. The problem was with a simple wall-mounted control switch/timer. Two days later I received an emailed estimate from Bellows for $487 (!!!) to replace that switch...a switch which the manufacturer, QuietCool, sells on Amazon for only $28.99. Needless to say, I purchased the switch on Amazon and saved myself almost $500. read more

It's the middle of July, the fog is in, it's cold outside and it's time to have our Lennox A/C serviced by Bellows. This is a shout-out to Dan Fisherbaugh and his professional service. Bellows Plumbing: Mini split review In November of 2023, I needed to replace my old gas wall heater. Our home is older and we needed something new. I decided on a Lennox mini split system after seeing a display at Costco. The package included having Bellows Plumbing, a local HVAC contractor install the system. We had this work done in January of 2024. Everything worked quite well until the late fall of 2025. We had had the system for almost two years. When the temperatures fell into the lower 40's, the Lennox system quit heating and would just blow cold air. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called Bellows and they sent out a technician. After explaining my problem one of the first things he said was, "Look how you're dressed." I was in shorts and a T shirt. This was before he even checked the unit (he later denied saying this upon his third visit).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told him my old thermostat registered at 55 degrees and he told me those old things didn't work. I told him again, the unit just blew cold air when the temperature got into the lower 40's. He checked the unit said everything was working correctly and left. When the temperature again got into the lower 40's, the unit still did not work. I called again and the same tech came out and said he couldn't find anything wrong. I suggested maybe I wasn't using the remote correctly and he agreed and left. I made sure I was using the remote correctly and the unit still did not heat our home and blew cold air. I called a third time and Bellows sent the same tech. By this time something else had gone wrong with the unit and it no longer worked at all. He checked it and did not seem to know how to get into it to look. He beat it up a bit taking a panel off. When he was finished, he blamed the problem on a power surge and said I needed to call their electrician. [[HIGHLIGHT]]By this time I was done with Bellows Plumbing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called Lennox and an overseas service representative said I need to call Costco and gave me a number. When I called the number another overseas rep told me if I gave her my bank account number, I had won a $300 gift card. So I had been given a scam number.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I found the correct number and the Lennox/Costco rep talked in circles and took no interest in the scam number. So, I have a $10,000 Lennox mini split unit in my backyard that I have not bothered to fix as of May 14th, 2026. Why throw good money after bad? read more

I should have written this review a year ago but I feel it is important others know to beware about Bellows bids. On June 23rd, 2025 I received a bid from one of their technicians to replace a 75 gallon gas water heater. The technician was really a slick sales agent trying to sell me on converting to either a heat pump or an "on demand" system that would require a lot of changes to the plumbing system. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to insist that I wanted to "keep it simple" and just replace the gas water heater with a similar gas water heater.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked that the bid include detail that spelled out material and labor costs. When I got the bid I was surprised that the total cost was $9,847. While the bid had a lot of detail regarding what they would do, it had no cost break out. I later called their office and requested a cost for the water heater and was told $5,000. Needless to say I got other bids. In the end I purchased the exact same water heater they suggested for $2,787 (delivered). The installation cost from a local plumber was only $1,146. So the total cost was only $3,933. That is almost a $6,000 savings! Please beware before accepting their bids. Get other bids. read more

It's been 4 years since my Lennox Heating/AC system was installed and I continue to use Bellows for service and maintenance. Ryan is my "go to" guy. He knows the unit well and tweaks it whenever I notice an issue. Got a new thermostat controller on warranty when the original kept losing communication with the remote thermostat. Adjusted heat pump temp and flow rate when I needed a boost in certain areas. System operates well and service is always timely. read more

I needed maintenance on a whole-house fan (installed years ago by a now-defunct company), as well as my air-conditioning system. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was able to make a next-day appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dave arrived well-within the estimated window, and alerted me when he was on his way. He climbed into my attic, took photos of my fan assembly showing a drive belt that was fraying. I asked if he could please stay longer and replace the belt, and he did so, as well as thoroughly inspecting and cleaning the A/C condenser. The fan is much quieter now. Bellow Plumbing, Heating and Air does quality work, and the service and sales personnel are friendly and courteous. The issue is: Bellows has a schedule of pricing that determines the fee for jobs and particular repairs. And the fees are very substantial. I mean, be prepared to pay. While Bellows has performed considerable work for us, when it was time to replace the tankless water heater, Bellows priced the repair at perhaps $3000 more than another local company. The other (nameless) company performed the repair and 18 months on, there have been no problems. Or, Bellows offers an annual home maintenance contract for the plumbing and HVAC systems. It is widely advertised at a fee of $300 - a not unreasonable price. However, the contract include only one mini split if you have a heat pump system. You have to read the small print to register this limitation. We have three mini-splits in our heat pump system, so Bellows charged an additional $118 - to inspect all the mini-splits. Now the fee for the annual maintenance contract is $418. Hardly a bargain! The last inspection required about 30 minutes of the technician's time. I felt a bit exploited. I mean, the heat pump is only two years old and rarely used for its A/C, and was installed at a high-end price. Would you have imagined that the installation was performed by... go on, take a guess...Okay, it was Bellows Plumbing. read more

We worked with Bellow's on 2 separate projects: 1\ install a new mini-split system that serviced 3 rooms with no forced air heating & 2\ replace a whole house forced air gas-furnace with a heat pump system. Working with Bellow's couldn't have been better, clear communication, extremely knowledgeable on hardware and spec requirements, easy design changes, fantastic project planning, extremely curtious installation and post inspection team. Where do I start? From the beginning I knew this was going to be a challenging venture. I was seeking to replace two (2) HVAC systems and one hot water heater with heat pumps and a tankless water heater. I knew it was not going to be cheap. So...heater stopped working during these cold front days and found out it was installed in 1995! From the very beginning Bellowes (who had come very highly recommended) were super impressive. The first visit was the technician coming to give and estimate to fix the current dinosaur. Since that cost was putting good on bad, opted to have estimates done for a new furnace. Robert came out and was so professional-born to do this job. He provided multiple estimates but first asked questions to learn about what would be the right fit for us...how long were we planning to live in the house etc. Once he was informed he provided six different estimates and walked me through the pros and cons of each one. Felt so good about what was recommended which ended up being the most economical. Robert ensured to put a rush on it knowing we were without heat. It is installation day! Yay. Michael and Kiernan arrived on time and ready to get to work. They made sure the area was clear (especially since the install was next to my car) and went to work. There were all sort of complexities based on the age of our home and there was literally no detail they did not look at finding solutions for to ensure we would get the most out of our furnace. Outcome is a beautiful new furnace...all the vent outlets were checked and repaired where needed and cleaned! They left the space clean and free from any debris and walked me through the work. Its not alway the case that you find a company that has good ethics and also does excellent work. Bellows has proven to be both. Matt was a pleasure to work with- highly skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. He came out and gave an honest assessment of the work we needed to do, 1) installed a p trap in our laundry room (thank god the smelly sewer smell is gone) and 2) installed a pressure reducing valve to address our high water pressure issue. He also noticed when behind our dryer that our gas line had a flimsy top needed a cap while doing the work and helped reduce a noisy toilet. I appreciate the above and beyond service. Our 10 year old Kenmore hot water heater started acting up. I first called another plumber that rhymes with Saratoga. I won't name them. They came over and looked at it and said that's pretty old. There's no parts for that. You need a new one. I wasn't buying so I sent them on their way and Bellows came the next day. Bellows fixed a problem created by Marin Clean Energy. They went above and beyond for us when our heat went out, and I'm so grateful for that. MCE offered us a new "eco friendly" thermostat with a free installation. Unfortunately, the person who installed the thermostat made a mess of the wires behind it, and it resulted in our thermostat acting very strangely and then in our heat going out completely (right when the cold and rain started). Bellows was sympathetic to our issue, scheduled us as soon as they could, and showed up on time and with a professional attitude. I have had a furnace replaced then added a dehumidifier and an air conditioner to the home all at different times. I was happy with all three teams so I assume their entire staff is competent. I subscribe to their maintenance program which includes heat/A-C and plumbing. The recent techs were competent and friendly. The plumbing technician (from Alabama originally) and Ryan A. were top notch. If you are lucky to have them you will be treated well. I had a great experience today with Bellows and Saul. He arrived promptly and helped with a clogged situation. It wasn't easy to figure out the best place to come at the problem and he was able to efficiently problem solve. He was very knowledgable, friendly, kind and helpful. TBH, I was worried we might have a bigger repair today so I'm relieved. he was able to solve the problem. He went above and beyond too. He took a short video to help explain something that is very difficult to reach. He also helped to make sure that my washing machine was ok (it had standing water backed up that I didn't realize until after he left. Fortunately, he hadn't driven away yet and came back in to help. The most recent price was $189 to just come over and take a look. That is higher than the other companies I've contacted.
