I called Week's and spoke with Matt. I explained to Matt that we had been without water off and on all weekend and that I was about to lose my mind if I couldn't take a real shower. Made an appointment for later in the week to have someone come look at what I have and advise on what I need to run everything properly. Aaron came in the afternoon and looked everything over. He answered a tone of my questions. He recommended that we first fix the leaks and then go from there. He did a much nicer job with the plumbing than what was there originally. Turned everything back on and things worked perfectly. He did a great job and I would definitely recommend weeks to anybody looking to have work done. He could've said anything he wanted. They were both outstanding in their commitment to customer service. Lori got me an appointment within a few days of my call. Rufus was efficient and diligent. He communicated to me his findings and throughly inspected and tested each part of the system. No repairs were necessary and he came up with suggestions for why the pressure was uneven. I have been following his suggestions with good results. I needed to have the well and pump inspected as it had not been done in recent years. Their drillers (the guys who actually operate the rig) were great and they road the drill rig for 3 straight weeks - pounding through hundreds of feet of Franciscan lava formation in the hot July sun - not fun. The sales guy over charged me for everything. When I notified him of this he became angry and confrontational The electrician did not care if he did a good job or not and every time I pointed out a mistake he had made, he told me that to fix it would "cost you a lot more money" (aka jerk). Bought a house with a well a while back. Not gonna' lie, I felt a little exposed. Is it reliable? What if something goes wrong? But, with the team from Weeks on speed dial, I'm not worried at all. Here's my history... 1) A few years in, no water. None. Weeks was there same morning. They found some ants had built a fuzzy nest in between the metal contacts of the switch, keeping it from making a connection. Fixed it in minutes. Water! Pros. 2) A few more years in, the pressure tank started having issues. Weeks came out within hours, diagnosed the bladder problem, installed a new tank (a smaller one, as the original one was enormous) and we had water same day. The bill was super reasonable. Score. 3) This morning, intermittent water left me soaped up in the shower and nothing to rinse with. Awesome. Weeks was there in the afternoon. The same "ant switch" was now toast. They replaced it on the spot. The guys were super professional and able. Now I can soap...rinse...repeat. I'd never call anyone else to do well work. And I'll never hook-up to city water. A new well was drilled on the property. The work was done quickly and efficiently, but the aftermath was awful. Piles of cuttings, gravel, tools and trash were strewn about. When I mentioned it to a crew member, he said "that would be extra work." They moved things around in the yard without discussing it with me, only moving them back (and not as they had been placed) after I asked. It will take many hours of work to restore the area as it was prior to the work. The damage to the native grass meadow will take years to recover. read more

We used Weeks to replace a well pump and pressure tank for our lawn irrigation system. I initially reached out to a couple of other companies nearer to us (we are in Hayward), but the first one simply wouldn't take the job as they were overbooked, and the second quoted a fortune to do it. Then I called the Alameda County Water District and asked for recommendations, and they said Weeks was great. I called them and Weeks estimated the job at less than half the cost of the first company! Even including the cost of the time spent driving all the way to Hayward. Furthermore they were very responsive and helpful on the phone (the first company had taken weeks, and multiple requests, to prepare their estimate), and they were able to come out quickly. When Weeks arrived on the job site, we realized we didn't want a pressure tank as big as the one they had brought. We were fortunately able to get a different one, but it took a couple hours. To my relief Weeks wrote off the entire labor cost of that couple of hours! Very cool. The job itself was done well and quickly by Robert and Caleb. The final bill came back at less than the estimate (and way, way less than the other company's estimate). Very happy with the results and the professionalism of the company. read more

My personal experiences working with Weeks to maintain my well and water system have been worth noting. Their approach has always been to repair and maintain the system, rather than simply replace components and move on to the next paying gig. It's become all too rare that a business provide great service AND focus on saving you trouble and money, both in the near term and the long run. Their technicians are experts, and they have always taken the time to explain to me what needs to be done, and why. One example: When my system lost pressure at the tap I called to schedule its repair. The person who answered asked about my problem, and scheduled me several day out. I was hoping they could come sooner, because I had some friends coming to visit in three days. She sympathized and explained that they had several customers who were without water completely, and it was policy that they take priority, but they would do whatever they could if a cancellation occurred.. I really appreciated this unsolicited forthcoming and honesty. It is good to know as a customer that if I ever I am without water completely, i can count on them. If that wasn't enough, she went on to field several calls where she helped me try to diagnose and fix the problem on my own. Her advice and understanding of my system (both from my description and from their notes from previous work) were excellent, and it allowed me rule out any repair that i could have done easily myself. I was not charged for her time, and she was always glad to help. Had it been something relatively simple, they would not have made a dime. Who does that anymore? The next afternoon (a Friday), the same person called to tell me that a technician who had completed a job early was nearby and that he could be at my home in 20 minutes. It took him 5 minutes to find the problem and call for parts. While he was waiting for the parts to arrive (late on a Friday afternoon), he did some inspection, maintenance, and repair on the whole system. At each step he explained to me what he was doing and why, made recommendations, and showed me how to do it myself (most businesses would have charged me whether he did anything or not). I found myself apologizing for asking so many questions and hovering over his shoulder as he worked. He told me that it was my system and he appreciated that i wanted to know how to maintain it, because he had plenty of other people who needed his help. So, yeah - 5 stars for these folks. I don't think I wrote a review when Weeks put in a well for me in the early 2000's, but I wanted to say how helpful they've been following major fire damage last summer (Ranch Fire) when the well-head was essentially destroyed. Very helpful! Regarding the original work, the well is up at 3000', with somewhat challenging access. They got the rig in, and the crew was great. They hit water at 100' and drilled to 120'. I stuck around for the whole operation, and they explained what was going on as they worked. There was some mud created as they drilled, but that was put off to the side, and the casing, seal, etc., were all done well. During the fire, Cal Fire trucks and dozers were operating immediately (!) next to the well - as evidenced by the tread and track marks and the fact that the gravel was pushed all around - but the water is still running clear! Bottom line is that I can certainly recommend Weeks! Chris read more
