Very interesting discovery!!! I am glad that my family and I are still alive to post this review! After opening the RO filter housings for routine maintenance, I found out that the original filters were still sealed inside their plastic wrapping. This means the filters were never actually filtering water from the time the system was installed. Leaving the filters wrapped completely defeats the purpose of the RO system and potentially exposes to untreated water while giving a false sense of safety. This is a serious installation error. Most customers would never think to open the housings to check, so this could easily go unnoticed until time for replacement. I have photo documentation clearly showing the filters still wrapped in plastic inside the housings. And Awni, I know what I am talking about. read more

We recently called him out for a general service and maintenance and he didn't even charge us because our system was in tip top shape and I recently changed all the filters. Very dishonest business. As reported by many yelp and google reviews, Awni and Sameera, who are the company officers, promise to honor a 10 year free maintenance with annual check-ups for water systems they install. I believe they do this in order to persuade potential customers to use this service, but they actually have no intent to honor that maintenance and probably figure customers will not go out of their way to track them down. Once you pay them, they ignore any future requests you have for them to honor their free service agreement. Unfortunately, I took their word and went with Advanced Pure Water Systems to install a water softening system. After trying multiple times to schedule the maintenance service, I have been unable to reach the company. It is a shame they do not keep their word, and I feel extremely misled. I hope that future customers will carefully read through how many reviewers have also been misled by the quality and false service promises before trusting this company. read more

I agree with other reviews that Advance Pure Water Systems does not honor the annual checkups. They take your money after install and run. I had an Avanta Pure GE System installed in 2017 that failed causing all the mineral resin beads to go into the pipes and clogging ALL my faucets, toilets, shower heads, fridge, and washer. Called the owner Awni to discuss the 10 year warranty stated on the contract. Was given the run around that the 10 water warranty was for the plastic tank ONLY, plumbing was 5 years, and resin was 3 year warranty. NOWHERE on the contract stated 3 or 5 years, only a 10 year warranty. I've gotten a few quotes to flush the pipes (26 water lines) and lowest was $3500 plus I had to replace faucets and shower heads as the beads were too small to flush out. Awni said he has a guy who can do it for $500 in two hours after licensed plumbers stated otherwise. Then he proceeded to say he no longer sells the Avanta Pure System which I found does not have a post filter. If system fails all the beads go into pipes whereas some systems has a post filter to prevent this. I proceeded to ask if he vetted out the Avanta Pure system before selling and was was told he had "one" client who has the same system for 12 years with no issues. As a business owner who should care about his reputation, he should try to make things right. I wasn't asking for a free replacement system but there wasn't even mention of a discount of a new system. Only that he can try to replace filter but likely not going to work. My fridge that I purchased last year is still clogged and cannot dispense water or ice. This is going to cost me close to $10k. DO NOT trust this business for your water softener needs and ensure if you do purchase your new system somewhere else, to have warranty terms explicitly stated in contract before you sign/pay. **Edit in response to owners comment: How can you tell me that my pressure regulator failed when you didn't come to my house? As you can see, blaming instead of taking responsibility. For the record, as soon as water stopped going to my house I called the Dublin San Ramon Services District. Employee who was nice enough to drive out after hours checked the pressure regulator valve and did not see damage and there was water going to the garage hose bib but not the pipes upstairs. Of course the next step is to call a plumber as I didn't even know the softener failed. Plumber then determine the filter inside system broke with no post filter to protect against all the beads from clogging my pipes. Without any water going to toilets, faucets, and showers of course I asked the plumbers to flush out 26 water lines. You claimed you could get a guy to do this for $500 instead of licensed plumbers but the point is you failed to stand by your 10 year warranty as stated on contract. All I hear are excuses instead of a business owner who cares about clients and reputation. You probably advertise here as I don't know how you got 4+ stars here. You have 2 stars on google. We had installed our advanced pure water softener about 4 years ago, and it has been working fine since then. Recently, we found out that the softener panel display was not working and contacted Mitch for getting some help. Mitch was super prompt to respond. He called right away to setup an appointment. At the appointment, he checked the motor, inspected the power supply, replaced the panel, and made sure everything was running perfectly again. STAY AWAY. The only time Awni responds is when you first inquire about the product for a quote / install. After that, he doesn't respond to you at all. We never got any of the free RO filter replacements despite emailing and calling him multiple times. This guy is a sales guy - he knows how to play the sales game and sell things with fluffy language. But the product is garbage. We bought the system in 2017 and it's already dead. And there's no warranty. And guess what, he responded to my property manager (after my system died) with a new quote to install a brand new system with a new 10 year warranty, when the first one already had that warranty but he won't honor it. Awni came out soon enough and explained me the system they recommend considering location, number of people etc. He was able to provide a quote keeping in my mind my budget as well as request about location of installing the softener at the back of the garage. His plumber Leo was good to work with as he explained a few things and then installed the softener right near the garage door to avoid any extra pipes running through the garage.
