"I had the same experience. They replaced a pump for ~$3K (not sure that was even the problem at this point) and left. They didn;t turn the pressure pump back on (after I had mentioned several times it had been malfunctioning) nor did they prime the holding tank so even if everything was turned back on the system would have failed again. Called Luciano Pump in Healdsburg. They did what should have been done which was check the entire system and they even found a leak that Tyler and brother failed to detect. Prompt service but you will get expensive replacements that may or may not be needed and you may still not have a functioning system. My family and I just moved to our new property in February. Three days ago our well pump went out so we decided to call the number that was on the pump. We have no shower, no running water in our home, no water for our pigs or chickens and have just planted thousands of dollars worth of landscaping and never received a call back. After telling this company several times that I thought the system wasn't put in correctly - with such a small pressure pump that it turns on each and every time water is turned on - they said it was fine and didn't change it. I was very impressed with their service. My tenant called me with a problem stating his pressure tank was leaking and not getting any water pressure. I gave Jack Sissel a call and he sent his grandson, Tyler out within the hour to check out the problem. They went ahead and replaced the pressure tank and left the bill at my property next door. The problem was fixed within the hour and my tenant had good running water again. This is the second time they were quick like that. A few months back I had a problem with a different rental where my tenants had no water. Jack had it fixed within a few hours and they were back and running again with water. Great service. My pump failed late Friday night. I called early Saturday morning, and Tyler responded within the hour. He got us working but indicated that the pump was apparently failing. He and his partner Dustin were our early this morning. In less than 1 1/2 hours, the replaced the pump, 100' feet of pipe, and a control unit - very professionally and at a fair price. I had a malfunctioning pump at my rental property and called Jack Sissel for service. They did responded promptly and sent Tyler out to look at the problem and he did initially restore water on the property. However, a few hours after Tyler left, he called me around 4pm and told me that my tenants were still reporting issues with the water and that he won't be going back out until 8am the next day to look at the issue. Two hours later, when all my tenants got home and needed to use water there was no water and I had to scramble to call Tyler and beg him to go back out that night to fix the issue. So having known that there was a potential issue around 4pm, they refused to go back to look at it until the next day and then later I had to beg them to go back out to fix the issue (and pay the emergency rate) because either I was going to pay my tenants to stay in a hotel that night or pay them for emergency service to fix the problem that night. That is either inexperience or pure incompetence to not have done their due diligence to make sure that the system was fully functional before they left. When I called the owner to talk about this experience, his response was rude and full of expletives. He sweared at me with some expletives before I even had a chance to speak and he hung up on me. This is a business that lacks class and professionalism. If you are calling Jack Sissel out for service be prepared to pay them to go out multiple times because they may not fix all your issues all at once. read more

Tyler at Sissel Pump is a joy to work with and, after my recent experiences with three other local pump companies, he is the only one I dealt with who I feel is completely honorable. After my explaining to the other companies about some strange noises coming from our pump control box, they all wanted to sell me a new pump (especially once they learned that my current pump is 26 years old). I called Sissel, spoke with Tyler, and he explained to me that if the pump was going out, it wouldn't make any noise at all, it would simply stop pumping water, so he felt that the issue was with the control box. (I know, I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I hadn't figured that out myself. But neither did the guys from the other three pump companies I'd called, two of whom came to the house and still seemed to think the problem was with the pump itself.) Tyler came out the next day to take a look at the control box and the setup for the pump, reiterated his opinion about the control box and recommended a new one. He came back and installed one the following day, and the noises stopped. All for less than one-tenth the price of the pumps the other companies wanted to sell me.
