Just had our 50s era circuit panel replaced by Len and his crew, and we are very happy with the job. In addition to getting a new solar ready 200 amp panel, we also had an add on garage brought up to code with new conduit and outlets for workbench, lighting, and dedicated car charger circuits in both the garage and the front driveway. Also new circuits to 3 rooms for running individual AC units. They probably could have charged more because some add on work was done that was not written down in the original quote but it obviously needed doing so they just did it. My wife and I were both impressed with the craftsmanship and the teamwork of the crew, and how everyone listened to each other regardless of age or experience level, to brainstorm and implement the best solution for the situation. This is the kind of job you have done once, so you want to be happy with who you choose. I highly recommend Marin sf. read more

Can't say enough good things about my experience working w/ Marin SF Electric - these guys are amazing! They came out to a complex situation in my dated 2 story house and updated all the electric throughout the house. Including a Span Panel, inset LED lighting, swapped out every outlet, installed a chandelier, exterior sconce lighting, track lighting in the garage, pretty much the works. Kudos to Len, William, Brian, Gabe - these boys are no nonsense, yet easy going, and get the job done right. read more

Excellent all around. Knowledgeable, quality work, and quick turnaround. They finished installing the 240v connection into our Span panel. Understood the code requirements, and performed the work expertly. Recommended! read more

Len is fantastic!! He showed but for an emergency at 7:30 AM for my dental office! The chairs in the office were stuck due to a power outage! He looked at the breakers and smiled and said that these are off- I insisted to paying him but he didn't charge me anything!! Len- next teeth cleaning is on us:) Thanks read more

Len and crew replaced our aging electrical panel, relocated the new panel, and added a transfer switch for an external generator - the team were great to work with, very collaborative, easily worked around children and pets, and coordinated with PGE. Very happy. read more

Bryan from Marin SF Electric was great. Super efficient and professional. We had some work done inside the house and he was able to troubleshoot and get some other items replaced within that week. Thank you! read more

Len and his team have done a fantastic job on our condo renovation over the past few years. They're honest, committed to quality, and take pride in their work and doing it "right". When an undercabinet lighting project didn't quite meet Len's standards (due to supply issues and some cabinet snags) he came back to redo it with newer materials -- no charge. I highly recommend their services. read more

Great service! Can't thank them enough! Their expertise saved me money and nerves! Thank you!

We needed a 1974 installed Zinsco electric panel replacing at our Novato townhouse, which involved securing a waiver from the city because of it's proximity to other utilities. Len at Marin SF Electric gave us a detailed bid/plan, helped secure HOA approval and handled all the necessary waiver and permit red tape with the city. He also scouted around our subdivision and found an example of how this had been done previously, which proved useful in selecting a replacement panel. On the day, Len and his team of Duncan, Erin and Eric were professional and observed all COVID safety precautions. They were also replacing all the outlets inside our home and installing a new LED light in the shed. Everything was completed in one day (including co-ordinating the city inspection). They repaired all the exterior wooden trim and an interior partition wall. Even power washing the spray-painted utility markers off the asphalt (at my request). Finally, they also paid mind to our 2x nervous house cats and cleaned up after themselves indoors. The new panel was fully tested and we were happy with Marin SF Electric's work: from first contact to job completion. This was a tricky job and the flexibility they showed after walls were opened in adapting original plans demonstrated their expertise. read more

So lucky to have discovered this company. Hands down the best electrical company I have done business with in the Bay Area. Moved and replaced my electric panel, saved us when sparks were flying out from under my deck from another electrical company that failed at their job. Came out and called PG&E for me another time. Replaced all my canned lights & kitchen lights & hood. Always on time, professional, & fast. So very grateful to have found them! read more

Fast and excellent service. Good prices. We would use Marin SF Electric again. Thank you.

I called them with an urgent matter and they were out to my Mill Valley place within 2 hours. Rates were very reasonable! I personally know my way around a breaker box so I can tell you Len hooked me up huge...repaired behind the meter when others would have suggested a new box which would have been a huge repair and permit. Highly recommend!!! read more

Soo impressed with Marin SF Electric and I highly recommend them! Len knows his stuff and will provide information and guidance on the phone before he sends someone out so you know exactly what to expect. We had one of his electricians (wish I could remember his name) install our smoke detectors a few months ago and Gabriel came out yesterday to install a new exterior porch lantern. Both were great guys and both did excellent work! Really appreciate it! read more

I called at 7:45 AM with my service request to install a timer switch on a 3-way exterior light circuit. I had tried myself and botched it, and the exterior lights were no longer functioning. By 10:30 AM, they resolved the issue and everything works great. Great coordination by Len and great work by William. read more

Marin Electric was fantastic. They were one of three electrical firms I interviewed to fix an electrical outage at my house. Len, the proprietor, came to look at my house and diagnose the problem. He correctly identified the issue as a break in the underground power line coming from the street into my house. He was then uncanny in predicting the exact spot where the break occurred. He seems to have an intuition about these things. The next day he brought a diagnostic tool that confirmed the location, which was then found shortly thereafter by digging a small trench. His ability to pinpoint the break saved me thousands of dollars. Because of the location of the break, it was relatively quick to pull out the defective wire and install new wiring. His employees, Juan and William were very efficient in doing the actual work and cleaning up afterwards. While the other two firms I interviewed made positive impressions, their quotes were much higher because they anticipated having to do more work, whereas Marin Electric pinpointed the work. Len's experience and insights led him to a more specific diagnosis of the problem and therefore a quicker and less expensive repair. He really knows his stuff. When he introduced himself he said he would become my electrician for life, and he was right about that, too! read more

Amazing service from initial call until job was finished. Very professional and lovely employees to work with. Will use again!

Len was super helpful in figuring out what my issue was without even needing to come out to my place. Turns out my microwave was the issue, and not the circuit breaker, and we figured it out over text in less than 5 minutes. For this reason, when I have a real electrical issue, I'm going with Marin SF electric. Thanks Len! read more

Len and his team are awesome! They've worked on 2 projects for us so far, including installing an electric car charger and exterior lighting (big shout out to William). We absolutely plan to work with SF Marin Electric for future projects, including a renovation that will require extensive electrical work and panel upgrade. read more

It's crazy to think in 70+ years, no one ever installed lights in any of our 3 closets. Marin SF to the rescue...they installed the lights (2 on sensors and 1 with a switch) at a really reasonable rate. In addition, we had a chandelier put up by them, which was slightly complicated, and some maintenance to our outdoor lights. Fantastic service, showed up on time with a team of guys and overall did a really great job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again! read more

Len and Marin SF electric did a great job. We had a 200amp panel installed along with some ancillary electrical work. They were responsive, thorough and made the process easy for us. Highly recommend and we'll use again! read more

Lenny and Gabriel were absolutely amazing. We are working with them to wire our internet, upgrade our panel, and install outdoor lights amongst other things. Marin SF was excellent at diagnosing and fixing a bizarre electrical issue affecting some of our circuits. William was clearly qualified and great at explaining his rationale as he worked through diagnosing the problem. read more

Asked for consult on site. Got back to me super fast. Showed up exactly when they scheduled. Never needed to see the final product. Bc they advised me I didn't need the work ... bc repair was so easy. And showed me how to do it. And wouldn't accept an offered 'svc. visit' fee when I offered. Wow. Well done. Worth the stars. I'll use this co for ALL my homes electrical needs. Including EV car installation. read more

The pros: Len was quick to call me back and schedule an appointment that same week. He showed up just about 30 minutes later than agreed, no big deal. The work he did was also high-quality and passed inspection without any issue. I felt the price was fair. Plus, as a designer I appreciate their branding (logo, trucks, etc) and felt it relevant for Marin. The cons: Our dishwasher suffered some collateral damage due to a mounting screw installed for an electrical box. It punctured a hose and leaked water and needed to be replaced. Len was visibly and verbally frustrated, but basically told me that he wasn't a plumber and I would need to deal with this myself; he would reimburse me for the repair. I had to spend time finding the part (which wasn't easy) and then time with a repair person to get everything back in order. Less of an issue, I also found parts/debris left behind at a couple of the areas he worked at, including one of his screwdrivers (which I returned). Unfortunate things happen, but I feel it could have been handled a little better so the onus wasn't on me to repair his mistake. So a ding on customer service. But the work quality was strong. read more

I thought I had left a review, regardless, his is a great company that sent someone out promptly who was very educated about my issues and explained it well and repaired it quickly and satisfactorily and I will call them again without haste when I need them next! read more

The quote was $120 /hr. Len fixed the garage circuit in one hour. That was fine. He charged me $175 for the time. When I pointed out that the quoted rate was $120, he said that the first hour was $175. There were some other factors in the charge which were not explained at the time, but Len agreed to refund the difference, and I appreciate that. read more

Duncan and Aaron really helped me out today. With so many people struggling I cant say I had an emergency, but since I cook 3 meals a day for my elderly husband, I needed my dishwasher and garbage disposal. They were both not working because of a PG & E power outage which burnt the outlets connected to my d/w and garbage disposal. The owner, Len contacted me and was so caring. All of the 3 team members I dealt with were professional, courteous and helpful. Thank You! I highly recommend Marin SF Electric. read more

We were so impressed with Len and his crew installing our generator. The work was done quickly and professionally with leaving the job site cleared of any debris. Our generator had many issues from the time it came out of its crate. Len had to come to our home several times to make sure our generator worked correctly. Len was outstanding in making sure all issues were corrected with our faulty generator. He worked very hard and was able to correct the many issues our generator was delivered to us with.
