I have been living in Seattle for 3 years, and struggling to find a hair salon. I live around the neighborhood and there are three hair salons, that I know of, in this area. I have been to one of them , which their service was good but I didn't like the end result of my hair. The other one only had 2.5 or 3 stars on yelp so I didn't bother (mostly because their service is bad) So I decided to give Belle By Nancy a try. I called to make an appointment on the day. When I came in to the store, she was working on another person's hair, but she kindly welcomed me. She also prepares water bottles and candies for waiting guests. I was about to fall asleep while she was washing my hair because it felt soooo good. Some hair stylists wash your hair like they are trying to scrap off your dead skin off from your head. But Nancy did it perfectly, she was very gentle. I told her I want to do a lob with lots of textures and showed her some sample pictures. She immediately understood what I wanted to do and she executed very well. I really liked talking to her. She is really friendly and I can tell she loves what she's doing. She puts so much effort and passion into her work that I really admired her. She also taught me how to style my hair with a curling iron and told me practice makes it perfect. I will take her advice and try to style my hair everyday :) Overall, I LOVED this hair salon and I will definitely come back for color and more! read more

Nancy cut my toddler's hair. It was my sons first haircut and she did a great job! For my toddler- She used clippers, scissors and a razor for texture and never knicked or scratched him! My biggest fear was that my wiggle worm would be too squirmy to sit for a cut, but as I watched Nancy's careful quick hands, she had knee jerk reactions! After walking by this salon nearly everyday, I decided to give Belle By Nancy a try. Nancy cut my long hair into a cute little bob. She washed, cut, dried, and styled it all in under half an hour! She was lovely and easy to talk to. She was also very affordable- the cut cost me $39! I scheduled an appointment but I know that she also takes walk ins. The only thing that annoyed me was there was another client who wouldn't stop talking and tried to offer his opinion on everything, but that wasn't Nancy's fault.
