Customer service was awesome. I had two people helping me and they seemed to love what they do! Thank goodness because I hate bra shopping. This place is amazing. Can not say enough good things about the people, products and knowledge contained in this store. They were knowledgeable and kind through a process that can sometimes be uncomfortable. They made it their mission to find me the right bras. Let's just say I am not well endowed in the chest area, so I always bought el cheapo bras from wherever I found them on sale. This shop has an owner and associates who can actually FIT a bra, a long lost skill these days, and even those of us less stacked walk out at least looking like we might be! I love this place! The staff is absolutely wonderful. Every time I've been in the store, the women took time to help make sure everything fit the right way, and when bras didn't work, they had suggestions and recommendations of styles, cuts, and other brands that might fit better. The selection is enormous! They carry all range of color and cut in sizes to fit almost any size (which is a feat unto itself). The bras are not the $20 numbers you can get at other places, but the staff doesn't try to up-sell bras. They want to find what fits you and what you feel good wearing. Beautiful collection with all sorts of sizes. Pricey, yes, but for beautiful little things you get for your money, it's worth it especially for a special occasion. The only reason I went one star down is because it took the lady (there was only one) at least 15 minutes to mind me any attention since she was helping someone else in the fitting room. After the lady checked out and left, I got all of her undivided attention- which was excellent. But maybe there needs to be some hiring? -because I was there for a good two hours. I stopped by this lingerie boutique after lunch at fairfax corner this past weekend. It is about 3 rooms filled with bras, undies, pajamas, swimsuits and cover ups, as well as fitness clothing. They also had a table of some jewelry and candles. I really liked the layout of the store as it was divided in a logical manner. The merchandise is beautiful and the owner was so helpful. It is so refreshing to purchase intimates someplace other than victoria's secret. I will definitely be back again! read more

I live in Colorado, but I was shopping in my native Virginia this winter and found the most amazing place! I had such a problem with my wardrobe in the winters out here, and Belle Mode suggested I buy fleece lined leggings (I have never found a pair so soft and fitting) and I wear them every day under my jeans. I also had a bra fitting and I had no clue I was wearing 2 cups too small, I didn't realize how comfortable the right fit can be. I have never written a Yelp review before but I felt so strongly about my experience that I wanted to write something down. I waited for an hour and a half for a fitting room. I tried on several bras and was fitted again for my size. The women were nice enough but I think their customer service suffers because they have too few rooms and too few employees. Once I found a bra that I liked, I went up to pay for it and then I had some questions about another bra. I was not helped and had to wait again to pay for the bras. After being there for 2 hours, I left empty-handed. I told the woman behind the counter that I had to leave and all she said was a weak, "I'm sorry." I was disappointed. read more

I went in to purchase a few bra/panty outfits. After being in a mastecomy bra for over a year, I was ready to feel pretty again. When I got home I noticed that 2 out of the three panties were the wrong size. I guess it was my bad for not double checking what should be a rather straight forward job. When I returned to exchange for the correct size, the sales person argued with me. I'm not sure how I was in the wrong. I would not have purposely purchased the wrong size. She 'made an exception' and exchanged for the correct size. I will never spend my money in this establishment again. Had the service been cheerful and non-combative, they would have gotten my $1600 lingerie sale and not Nordstrom. read more

They carry real bra and bathing suite sizes! They know their sizes! I've gotten multiple bras and bathing suites that fit me perfectly here. They have a good variety of styles for each size in bras. I like that they have bathing suits that actually fit me (32I) by there is not a lot of variety, I'd love to see more choices. Also not a lot of underwear that matches the bras. I have never been able to buy matching underwear for any bra I have bought on sale, they don't have any available even when they have a few bras left. I would say you can do a better job ordering for that. Survive is solid, they will find you bras in your size, fit you to the right size, and make recommendations based on their experience and experience of customers, which is all great. But the service could be better on a basic retail level, examples to follow. I have a friend who feels uncomfortable every time we go to the store because the staff is not big on coming to you, they more wait for you to ask them for things. This doesn't bother me, but again... It does both other people I shop with. Including one of the people I have shopped with feeling discriminated against. I went Valentine's weekend this year and they were seriously under staffed, there were several people (not surprisingly) and one attendant. This isn't the only time I have felt that they are under staffed/ their staff isn't trained well at making sure to work with all of the customers in the store. Over all, I will keep shopping here, there are a lot of good aspects, and I will continue to recommend the store to people. But there are many aspects that should be worked on to make it more appealing. read more

A great-fitting bra is a life-changer! Nicole, the store owner, was very patient and attentive with me as I tried on countless bras to find the perfect fit. She is an expert on getting the right fit, and could immediately identify specific fit issues, when I could only say "something's not right with this one." I found several bras that worked, but didn't feel pressured into getting them all. Nicole offered to add some to my "wish list" so I would have a record of what worked and could easily come back and purchase later. They have an impressive selection of bras (styles, cuts, colors, etc.) offered in larger cup sizes, which are impossible to find in department stores/Victoria's Secret/etc. read more

I have been here a few times over the last year getting gifts. Each time they helped me out since I was about as lost as a guy can be. Thankfully I brought my girlfriend's measurements scribbled on a sticky note and the staff were always able to help me find something that she ended up loving: chemise and panty set, robe, and other lounge type things. I came in one time to find the chemise and told them which one I wanted, they were able to order it and provide me a better price than I could get online. Everything fits my girlfriend perfectly. There used to be a wine shop next door- now it's a cigar store. The tobacco smell permeates the lingerie store and some of the more delicate items. As people walked in, they started wrinkling their nose. The latest salesperson was phenomenal and presented me with several items that worked for me - very pricey ( each item over $100) so I did purchase only a few. They go through salespeople very quickly - every time I go which won't be any more there is a new salesperson. The next day, items I had purchased were on sale for a significant percentage off. I called to see if I could get sales price and the salesperson said the owner said absolutely not. So much for providing me incentive to remain a regular customer. The owner is not customer service oriented at all- this was my third opportunity to give the store a chance after having more than one questionable encounter with Nicole, the owner. I had just hoped she wouldn't be there- but she was and she did not inform me of the sale . Her response was " I'm a small business" exactly so you should appreciate your returning customers whose word of mouth advertising is priceless- whether good or bad feedback. Pass this shop by. As long as you're spending money, Nicole is smiling but if the situation calls for some customer service, they just don't get it or give it! read more

I visited here for the first time with my friend a few weeks ago at the recommendation of her neighbor and went back today to pick up a bikini they had ordered for me to try. I have to say my experiences here have been absolutely fantastic. As someone who normally dreads bra and bathing suit shopping, I have found my new go-to source for both and I found two bathing suits and three bras that I absolutely LOVE with the help of Nicole and her staff! My size tends to fluctuate which means I always have to try EVERYTHING on and I love how Nicole made sure each piece fit perfectly and that I was comfortable in them. Not only did they have a selection of sizes so we could determine the fit, but also once we determined my size, they showed me the vendor's books so I could special order one I liked. I went back last night and not only bought a new swim suit (something I haven't done in years) that I feel great in, but also a new bra to work with my evening event dress! This store gets an A+ for merchandise, layout and most importantly, their customer service. Nicole Martin, the manager of the store is attentive and really cares about your needs. She will spend as much time as needed with you bringing you more things to try on and hanging up all the things that do not fit while you are in the changing room. It is EXTREMELY hard to come by this kind of service anymore. The clothes are all very unique--everything from bamboo pjs to spandex leggings that suck in and tone. This shop has something for everyone and is the perfect way to surprise a loved one with a gift that is hand selected by a true fashionista herself--Nicole. WOW is all I can say for this experience! I won't shop anywhere else for my bras, and I have trouble with those, because I'm an odd size. The sales associate actually knew how to measure for a bra, and told me I was wearing the wrong bra size. I've been wearing this size for about 10 years now, and was thrilled to try the new size and feel so much more comfortable and supported. The owner of the shop was there too and very friendly and even more knowledgeable. It's rare to get this level of personal service in retail anymore. I have been shopping at Belle Mode for ages. I'm finally getting around to writing a review. It is my go to place for lingerie, sleepwear, sports bras and lounge wear. I have had professional bra fittings before at high end department stores, and another lingerie boutique, but Belle Mode owner Nicole Martin is in a class by herself. I think it is in her genes, since her mom owns a lingerie boutique in Vermont. She is extremely knowledgable about the brands she carries, which is important because just like in clothing, a size in one brand can fit very differently from another. After a fitting, she can steer you towards brands that will work. She is very honest about whether a bra fits you properly. She will never push you to buy something that isn't 100% right. Belle Mode has a great rewards program, panty club, and great sales. If you can't find the size you are looking for, Nicole will order it, no pressure to buy if it doesn't work out. She helped me special order a gorgeous robe for my mom for Christmas. I can't say enough great things about this place. read more
