Annika was amazing! I went in postpartum without a single bra that fit and she spent an hour measuring me and finding options that actually worked for my HH-sized bust. I walked out with 5 bras--from a comfortable lounge bra to a plunge bra for a gown. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made what can be a very frustrating experience feel easy. Highly recommend! read more

What an amazing atmosphere at Le Bustiere! From the moment I walked in, the team was so welcoming and accommodating, and I felt completely comfortable throughout my bra fitting. Annika was wonderful. She took the time to find what truly worked for me, and the whole experience felt genuinely empowering. They have such a beautiful selection, and I walked out with two bras I'm so excited to wear. Thank you so much, Annika! I can't wait to come back for swimsuits next. read more

I finally made it in to Le Bustiere Boutique last weekend in search of a very specific bra and Noelle was so helpful, not only in assisting me in finding the exact bra I needed but also ensuring I found the perfect fit for my exact size. read more

I had a great experience. Ursula took care of me from start to finish - she fitted me, brought several options and helped adjust each item to fit my figure. I gave her a price limit and she came back with other items that I really love. I didn't feel pressured to buy the real expensive items. Thank you! read more

The pieces I have purchased from Le Bustiere have stood the test of time, and are among the most unique in my closet. They offer a spectacularly curated and frequently updated selection of some of the best labels, particularly the Adams Morgan location. I hadn't been back since 2022--far too long. During this most recent visit last week I was refitted and tried on at least a dozen bras, lingerie, and corsets. Ursula and Ashley were amazing--helpful, patient, and genuine hype girls (over the course of 2+ hours of indecision). They took turns bringing things based on what I picked out, my updated size, and whatever else caught their expert eye, and helped me get in and out of the corsets as needed. We even talked must-have skincare at one point! read more

Great experience! Annika was lovely; she made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The best fitting experience I've ever had.

I am an older woman who has been wearing "scrunchy" bras for several years and decided, finally, the girls needed more support. I had a fitting with Anika who was charming, knowledgeable, efficient and funny and came away with several lovely, comfortable bras. I highly recommend this shop and Anika, in particular. read more

I popped in to explore swimsuit options, and I discovered a brand I now adore. Not only was Noelle was super helpful and kind, but she provided me with options that aligned well with my style. read more

Annika is a miracle worker- she quickly analyzed my size and shape and then brought a few bras to test out - I was wearing the wrong bra size by quite a bit. She helped find bras that worked for my shape and had a deep understanding of the bra construction (how each panel and underwire support fit). She helped me adjust the bras appropriately and walked through the steps of adjusting the bra once on for smoothness and the best fit. The bras were also super cute and the size range was good. I have a small band and large cup and it seemed like she had at least 10 that she had me check out and try on. She was also responsive to my questions and other asks like matching underwear, colors, strap types, etc. in the fitting room, they have a variety of tops you can try on with the bras to check out how they work with different outfits. Additionally, the store is very inclusive and welcoming to women in general- there were a variety of sizes, women were all treated equally and with a lot of care, men were not back in the fitting area, there was no discomfort/awkwardness as they were helping with adjustments (and parts were pretty hands on). read more

I genuinely have never had such a good time shopping for bras. Annika was so wonderful and helpful and found me bras that fit better than any bra has literally ever fit me. There was zero pressure to buy anything and when something wasn't perfect, she immediately swapped it out for other options that were and didn't settle for less than a perfect fit. I ended up buying three bras and now refuse to wear anything else, so I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend getting a fitting with Annika! read more

I had a great experience getting fit for bras by Noelle. She was kind, professional, and patient. I highly recommend this business.

I had the best experience coming to Le bustiere. In desperate need for a bikini, panicking coz I run a big bust. I was met by Annika who welcomed me and made everything feel so at ease. She did not only find me a gorgeous bikini she made me feel like a queen. Will visit everytime I come to Washington. Beautiful shop with incredible proffesional staff , I highly recommend read more

The service and selection are amazing! Rebecca helped my sister find new functional bras in an appropriate size. She was gracious, super helpful and bubbly. It was a delight to work with such a talented young woman who really knew her way around undergarments! My sister walked away with beautiful bras that make her look and feel her very best. On a whim I tried some lingerie and walked away with something unexpectedly spectacular. Two thumbs up. If you are in the Washington Metro area it is worth a trip. You will absolutely find what you need (and then some!) Don't be alarmed by the neighborhood. You'll find the store on the second floor and it is a delight! Shop here! It's awesome! read more

Excellent service and selection. Ursula at the Adams Morgan location couldn't have been kinder or more patient. She sized me up quickly and brought at least a dozen things to try, including a t-shirt to check the fit. I never felt rushed or pressured - only that she wanted me to leave happy and well-supported. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Ursula at the Adams Morgan location to get my bra size re-fitted and she was incredible. Not only did she pull a great selection of options for me to try on and find me two excellent new bras (including - and this was probably the highlight for me - a bralette in my size, which I have never been able to wear before because of my size), she was such a hype woman when it came to discussing how things looked on me. I not only walked out of the store with two new bras, but a huge boost of confidence, all thanks to Ursula. I was already a devotee of the store because it's one of the few places in DC that carries things in my size, but now I'm even more committed to continuing to come back if it means I can work with Ursula again. read more

I had an amazing experience getting measured and shopping with Alexandra at Le Bustiere in Bethesda. Alexandra was amazing -- she was so kind and professional and she went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and satisfied w/ my experience. She explained bra washing maintenance, what my French sizing meant, and answered all my questions. I left with two wonderful pieces. Was so nervous to be sized after so long, but left feeling confident and happy!! Big thank you to Le Bustiere team & Alexandra. read more

When I walked in, an employee immediately attended me and helped me pick out swim suits. I thought it was helpful, but then when I was trying them on, they kept intruding into my room when i was changing. Importantly, they didn't let me hold the suits to check the prices. After putting on the first suit, I saw the price was $325 and wanted to respectively leave. But they kept strongly encouraging more suits. When it was clear I didn't want to try on more suits, they kept forcing me to even when I tried to put clothes on. Then when leaving, as the suits were $325 shocking me as they were so thin, they told me there was a $25 "fitting fee", but they never said that before and I just tried on suits, they never measured me. The whole experience was so uncomfortable and violating and I thought I wouldn't be able to leave. I also was completely unaware of the astronomical prices before trying them on, and the store employees didn't let me see the tag until I was in the fitting room. I paid the $25 fitting fee, I should have pushed back as I think it was ridiculous especially since they didn't mention anything before, but I was so overwhelmed from repeatedly expressing discomfort during the try on process and then continually encouraging me to try on more suits I didn't want to i caved. read more

This is the most fun I've ever had shopping for bras. I had a bra that I've been wearing for 4+ years break recently and I knew that was a sign that I needed to reinvigorate my bra-drobe. The last time I got fitted was at a VS in probably like 2019 and I remember leaving there feeling like it was a militaristic experience and ashamed when my size was bigger than a lot of what they carried. This time, I remembered going to a Yelp event at Le Bustiere when I moved to DC the first time back in 2016 or so and decided that since they're just down the street from me, I would give them a try. I signed up for a profiting appointment online and came in at my appointment time and was greeted really warmly by everyone inside. The person who helped me out, Ashley, was super warm and friendly, and made the experience really fun and enjoyable. We laughed and joked the whole time and I could tell she was really invested in trying to find bras that I really liked and not just trying to sell me stuff. If I'm being completely honest, I went into the appt fully intending to just get fitted with the proper size, pay the $25 fee, and buy something cheap online, but the entire experience really changed my mind on what bras can be and so I treated myself to some really comfortable and cute ones here instead. It definitely was pricier than what I intended to spend, but I really feel like the quality was worth it. It feels like an investment into myself for the long term. Highly recommend Le Bustiere, especially if you're nervous, self conscious, or if you've never been fitted before because they are the best. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Le Bustiere. I've had some fluctuations in weight over the past few years, but haven't had a proper bra fitting in at least 10 years smh I was having issues with fit lately and decided to look into getting a fitting while I was in the DC area. I found them on Google and was able to make an appointment. Darian assisted me and she did a wonderful job of finding bras that fit in a variety of styles and colors. I was totally surprised to find out my real size. I highly recommend -- I was able to purchase several and they fit wonderfully. As my size is not a regular, off the rack size, I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Always well worth the visit. Helpful staff, beautiful merchandise. Overall a great experience

I moved out of DC a few years ago but I come back once a year for work and I always come in to get a fitting and a bra or two from Le Bustiere. They're the only place I will buy bras from, highly recommend, especially if you are larger chested. read more

Updated September: Added one star. I received a phone call less than 10 minutes after posting this review from the store. I was told they had been notified by their social media manager of my reviews and to call them back ASAP. 3-4 missed phone calls later during a work out, I called the store back. Very apologetic. Owner wanted to speak to me when she came back in the store later that week. Finally connected with the owner who is as also very apologetic. Owner told me they don't have someone monitoring social media so my email and FB message were missed. Offered for me to return the item if it hadn't been worn (they have a final purchase policy regardless of whether it's NWT). Offered to send me a check to cover the difference for the overcharge, which they did but it was under the "agreement" I'd change my review. Props for trying to make the situation right with an unhappy customer (which I acknowledge they didn't have to do) but leaves sour taste that it was only because I'd update this. Store price was $345, approximately $50 more than you can get from Bloomingdales full price- but Bloomingdales goes on sale! Bottom line is they are nice people and well intentioned but would not recommend this business. read more

Amazing place. I have been wearing the wrong sized bra (both band and cup) for years and stopped wearing form fitting clothing for fear someone would see the buckled band/sagging fabric under my clothes. The wonderful woman who helped me stayed with me the entire time, patiently answered by questions of "are you sure this is right" and "is it supposed to be this tight" (yes! yes it is), and helped me find the perfect bra. Well, 4 perfect bras- 2 t-shirt basics, 1 strapless, 1 kinda 'sexy' push up. It's expensive (my total bill including some panties was $475), but SO worth it. I'll be back again for more "fun" stuff (especially beautiful but functional pajamas I saw) in the future. One note- my husband came with me since we were on our way to somewhere else and I probably wouldn't do that again. Everyone was VERY nice to him, but this isn't really a browsing store (I stayed in the back and stuff was brought to me), and he felt a little in the way. I am excited that my sizing is under my profile so he can go back and shop for me if he likes, something I heard at least two other people do while I was there. A+ read more

Le Bustiere has been there to give me a lift through all my life changes ...my first proper bra fitting, pregnancy, post pregnancy...EVERYTHING. I'm not a fussy person but Stephanie and her team has really shown me the importance of finding the fun in underpinnings. This is a woman that knows her stuff. She can size me up to perfection with just one look. Besides the fabulous customer experience, Le Bustiere will introduce you to brands that you may not have heard of before. I'm a forever fan of Curvy Kate, a UK based brand thanks to Le Bustiere. Swimwear used to stress me out but alas, no more! They even convinced me to rock a bikini while I was seven months pregnant and I am so glad that I did. This is a true neighborhood gem! PS: No maternity wear here but you can bring their bras to a seamstress for easy conversion. I have found this to be more useful, stylish and comfortable than the selection at traditional stores. read more

Well-organized shop and convenient location - I have unknowingly walked past them many times because they're on the second floor. It's clear that the employees care a lot about their work/business. I was helped by Alexandra, who was brilliant. I had a bra-fitting scheduled right at opening and was greeted/helped right away. She was patient, knowledgeable, and kindly answered my many questions. I only planned on getting a fitting for $25, but the quality of the service + the quality of the bras they had in stock convinced me to purchase one as well. Will definitely return to gradually replace the bras I currently own. 10/10 experience - very happy to have them in the neighborhood! read more

As someone with a small rib cage and larger cup size, this boutique was a revelation. They gave me a proper fitting and introduced me to the wonderful world of European sized lingerie (apparently there are other chesty but trim women in Europe, who knew? In America, boobs stop at DDD size according to bra makers). I've recommended them to every woman I know who has a generous bustline. read more

My friend recommended that I stop by the shop for a bra fitting (since I hadn't purchased a new bra since 2015). From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with respect and kindness. My sales associate, Asia, taught me all about bra sizes, fit, and how to be comfortable in bras. The owner, Stephanie, was equally as attentive, making sure that I didn't leave with anything that didn't fit properly. I highly recommend stopping by for a PROPER bra fitting! read more

I had such a fantastic experience here and learned so much! I worked with Rebecca and she was super kind and was able to pick out styles for me that I loved. I am usually just overwhelmed with all the options. I texted my husband 'I've never felt more supported in my life' after trying on one bra picked out by Rebecca. I was shocked at my actual bra size I've been denying myself amazing support because I've never been properly fitted! This place is amazing! Thank you! read more

I finally did what I had been putting off. I had a fitting for my true bra size. When Ashley and Alexander helped me discover it; I was almost in tears. I AM A FAN. My friend and I came here after brunch one day. We barely made it in as they were closing soon. The owner is black which is why we decided to come here. The owner is Jamaican and very witty. There were a lot of sexy items in this store. However, not a lot of items for IN STOCK the curvy girls. I got measured and had no idea I was wear the wrong size bra. In fact I was several cups larger than what I had been wearing. The owner got me right and taught us how we are SUPPOSED to wear our bras. The prices are on the high side but you pay for quality. I will be back. read more

Great service!! I always love coming here. They work with you one on one to find the right fit for you.

I bought a groupon like a million years ago for this place and then kept forgetting to use it, despite the fact that Le Bustiere is walking distance from my house. Then, Yelp did a couple of events and partnered with them, and I started following them on Instagram. It was the Insta-marketing that pushed me to getting my butt in the store as they were advertising some curvy girl pieces. The atmosphere is totally relaxing and comfortable. My boyfriend came with me and it was nice for him, too. There are comfy places to sit and wait and it's not like the creepy pink-ness of the ubiquitous everyday store or the grungy/scaryness of other places to procure lingerie. The staff were INCREDIBLE. The woman who helped me did a bra fitting, but also went above and beyond in listening to my concerns/wants/needs and brought me at least 15 different styles and sizes to try on to find the right fit. I walked away with something really fun and sexy for Valentine's Day and a gorgeous everyday bra that I thought I only liked, but the more I wear it the more I realize I love it and just how well it fits me (and how poorly my old bras probably fit me!) Nothing I bought broke the bank and I truly couldn't be happier! read more

I had a wonderful experience here finding a bathing suit for my upcoming trip to Miami. Like many other women, I hate my body, so I wasn't looking forward to swimsuit shopping in the slightest. The stylist who helped me (wish I could remember her name) totally killed it though. She gave me a glass of prosecco then found me a suit that flatters my body, and in the meantime gave me my first proper bra fitting. I walked away with a brand new bra that FITS! and doesn't dig into my skin or cause me physical agony! It was totally an upsell move, but I'm not even mad about it. She also picked out a silky black and white striped cover-up for me that I adored - she was able to pick up on my style preferences really quickly and knew that I'd love it. Again, upsell, but I wasn't mad - that coverup is to die for. My fiancé was not at all pleased with the grand total of $750, but I definitely plan to be back, probably for more bras and undoubtedly for wedding night lingerie. read more
