The pieces I have purchased from Le Bustiere have stood the test of time, and are among the most unique in my closet. They offer a spectacularly curated and frequently updated selection of some of the best labels, particularly the Adams Morgan location. I hadn't been back since 2022--far too long. During this most recent visit last week I was refitted and tried on at least a dozen bras, lingerie, and corsets. Ursula and Ashley were amazing--helpful, patient, and genuine hype girls (over the course of 2+ hours of indecision). They took turns bringing things based on what I picked out, my updated size, and whatever else caught their expert eye, and helped me get in and out of the corsets as needed. I genuinely have never had such a good time shopping for bras. Annika was so wonderful and helpful and found me bras that fit better than any bra has literally ever fit me. There was zero pressure to buy anything and when something wasn't perfect, she immediately swapped it out for other options that were and didn't settle for less than a perfect fit. I had the pleasure of working with Ursula at the Adams Morgan location to get my bra size re-fitted and she was incredible. Not only did she pull a great selection of options for me to try on and find me two excellent new bras (including - and this was probably the highlight for me - a bralette in my size, which I have never been able to wear before because of my size), she was such a hype woman when it came to discussing how things looked on me. I had a wonderful experience at Le Bustiere. I've had some fluctuations in weight over the past few years, but haven't had a proper bra fitting in at least 10 years smh I was having issues with fit lately and decided to look into getting a fitting while I was in the DC area. I found them on Google and was able to make an appointment. Darian assisted me and she did a wonderful job of finding bras that fit in a variety of styles and colors. I was totally surprised to find out my real size. I highly recommend -- I was able to purchase several and they fit wonderfully. This is the most fun I've ever had shopping for bras. I had a bra that I've been wearing for 4+ years break recently and I knew that was a sign that I needed to reinvigorate my bra-drobe. The last time I got fitted was at a VS in probably like 2019 and I remember leaving there feeling like it was a militaristic experience and ashamed when my size was bigger than a lot of what they carried. This time, I remembered going to a Yelp event at Le Bustiere when I moved to DC the first time back in 2016 or so and decided that since they're just down the street from me, I would give them a try. I signed up for a profiting appointment online and came in at my appointment time and was greeted really warmly by everyone inside. The person who helped me out, Ashley, was super warm and friendly, and made the experience really fun and enjoyable. We laughed and joked the whole time and I could tell she was really invested in trying to find bras that I really liked and not just trying to sell me stuff. If I'm being completely honest, I went into the appt fully intending to just get fitted with the proper size, pay the $25 fee, and buy something cheap online, but the entire experience really changed my mind on what bras can be and so I treated myself to some really comfortable and cute ones here instead. It definitely was pricier than what I intended to spend, but I really feel like the quality was worth it. It feels like an investment into myself for the long term. Highly recommend Le Bustiere, especially if you're nervous, self conscious, or if you've never been fitted before because they are the best. read more

I went into this experience with really high hopes but was left feeling uncomfortable. Hannah was extremely short with our group, including during check out. She made us feel like an inconvenience, was acting rude the whole time, & refused to correct improper sizing. The only silver lining of the visit was Ashley who stepped in to help and explained everything in detail with kindness. She was knowledgeable and took the time to engage with us. Updated September: Added one star. I received a phone call less than 10 minutes after posting this review from the store. I was told they had been notified by their social media manager of my reviews and to call them back ASAP. 3-4 missed phone calls later during a work out, I called the store back. Very apologetic. Owner wanted to speak to me when she came back in the store later that week. Finally connected with the owner who is as also very apologetic. Owner told me they don't have someone monitoring social media so my email and FB message were missed. Offered for me to return the item if it hadn't been worn (they have a final purchase policy regardless of whether it's NWT). Offered to send me a check to cover the difference for the overcharge, which they did but it was under the "agreement" I'd change my review. Props for trying to make the situation right with an unhappy customer (which I acknowledge they didn't have to do) but leaves sour taste that it was only because I'd update this. Store price was $345, approximately $50 more than you can get from Bloomingdales full price- but Bloomingdales goes on sale! Bottom line is they are nice people and well intentioned but would not recommend this business. read more

Amazing place. I have been wearing the wrong sized bra (both band and cup) for years and stopped wearing form fitting clothing for fear someone would see the buckled band/sagging fabric under my clothes. The wonderful woman who helped me stayed with me the entire time, patiently answered by questions of "are you sure this is right" and "is it supposed to be this tight" (yes! yes it is), and helped me find the perfect bra. Well, 4 perfect bras- 2 t-shirt basics, 1 strapless, 1 kinda 'sexy' push up. It's expensive (my total bill including some panties was $475), but SO worth it. I'll be back again for more "fun" stuff (especially beautiful but functional pajamas I saw) in the future. One note- my husband came with me since we were on our way to somewhere else and I probably wouldn't do that again. Everyone was VERY nice to him, but this isn't really a browsing store (I stayed in the back and stuff was brought to me), and he felt a little in the way. Well-organized shop and convenient location - I have unknowingly walked past them many times because they're on the second floor. It's clear that the employees care a lot about their work/business. I was helped by Alexandra, who was brilliant. I had a bra-fitting scheduled right at opening and was greeted/helped right away. She was patient, knowledgeable, and kindly answered my many questions. I only planned on getting a fitting for $25, but the quality of the service + the quality of the bras they had in stock convinced me to purchase one as well. As someone with a small rib cage and larger cup size, this boutique was a revelation. They gave me a proper fitting and introduced me to the wonderful world of European sized lingerie (apparently there are other chesty but trim women in Europe, who knew? The owner is Jamaican and very witty. There were a lot of sexy items in this store. However, not a lot of items for IN STOCK the curvy girls. I got measured and had no idea I was wear the wrong size bra. In fact I was several cups larger than what I had been wearing. I had a wonderful experience here finding a bathing suit for my upcoming trip to Miami. Like many other women, I hate my body, so I wasn't looking forward to swimsuit shopping in the slightest. The stylist who helped me (wish I could remember her name) totally killed it though. She gave me a glass of prosecco then found me a suit that flatters my body, and in the meantime gave me my first proper bra fitting. I walked away with a brand new bra that FITS! and doesn't dig into my skin or cause me physical agony! It was totally an upsell move, but I'm not even mad about it. She also picked out a silky black and white striped cover-up for me that I adored - she was able to pick up on my style preferences really quickly and knew that I'd love it. Again, upsell, but I wasn't mad - that coverup is to die for. My fiancé was not at all pleased with the grand total of $750, but I definitely plan to be back, probably for more bras and undoubtedly for wedding night lingerie. read more

I bought a groupon like a million years ago for this place and then kept forgetting to use it, despite the fact that Le Bustiere is walking distance from my house. Then, Yelp did a couple of events and partnered with them, and I started following them on Instagram. It was the Insta-marketing that pushed me to getting my butt in the store as they were advertising some curvy girl pieces. The atmosphere is totally relaxing and comfortable. My boyfriend came with me and it was nice for him, too. There are comfy places to sit and wait and it's not like the creepy pink-ness of the ubiquitous everyday store or the grungy/scaryness of other places to procure lingerie. The staff were INCREDIBLE. The woman who helped me did a bra fitting, but also went above and beyond in listening to my concerns/wants/needs and brought me at least 15 different styles and sizes to try on to find the right fit. I walked away with something really fun and sexy for Valentine's Day and a gorgeous everyday bra that I thought I only liked, but the more I wear it the more I realize I love it and just how well it fits me (and how poorly my old bras probably fit me!) To put it in the clearest terms possible - I HAVEN'T BOUGHT ANYTHING AT VICTORIA'S SECRET IN 16 YEARS. Ladies like me have to look elsewhere, and that's why we look above and beyond for places such as these to assist us in our journey for the perfect undergarments. Running all over the D/M/V area looking for stuff that fit ME is something I hate doing. I am a busty woman. It's next to impossible to find a good lingerie place in not only my size, but larger sizes in general that accommodate women who have larger busts. This is what prompted me to call Le Bustiere to see if they had my size. I wanted a corset. I called 2 or 3 places looking for a large selection of items outside of just corsets, but this was my main goal. Of the places I called, my greatest impression was from here. Marsha, the associate outside of Stephanie the owner, went above and beyond to take the initiative to help me find my perfect garment. She emailed me photos of some corsets (photos are attached to this review), and set the ones I picked via the email aside for me to try on the next day at my fitting appointment I made with her for Saturday at 12.30pm. The time I went in, it was not terribly busy. I had Marsha's undivided attention. She constantly pulled items per my request and gave me her honest opinion along with Stephanie the owner. Stephanie was in and out of the changing room while she helped other people who wandered in. A couple of my girlfriends met up with me some time later within my appointment to give me their 2 cents too. They didn't buy anything, but they did think the items there were nice to have for future visits. Pricing varies on the item you select. There were 2 or 3 items that got up to $1,400. This would never be within my price range, but let it be known these were exclusive items and not the typical amount you'd pay. My items I bought ranged from $80-90. I bought an emerald green and black body suit that would never see the light of day outside my home, a purple corset which I rocked, and some undergarments. I felt pretty amazing in the items I purchased. I spent a little of $200 in all. It's nice to splurge when the time allows it. AKA This basically never happens. Bonus, they have grab bags if you check in on yelp. I got some soft white everyday panties, a sleeping mask, and a thong. It offered a couple of Bert's Bees samples, but I gave those to my friends. The grab bag definitely added some fun to the mix, and the come pre-made so you do not select the items that come in it. I'd definitely come back. I had a nice experience and it is nice to splurge on fun stuff on occasion. read more

I have all my life worn a 32DDD, and Stephanie blurted my TRUE size out before even taking a second look at me. 30 G!!! Ah yeah, that's the stuff to give the girls! Pardon me, but I am still giddy from my weekend trip to Le Bustier. Without going into too much detail, it's very difficult for me to find bras that fit, so even though I had called ahead and asked if they had my size (or the size I thought I was) I was prepared to be disappointed when I entered the very elegant and tidy show room. You know how it can be. "Yes we have your size but it is ugly/painful/squashes you in a weird way/all of the above and is insanely expensive." But not too worry. When I asked for the size I thought I was, the salesclerk very politely suggested a quick fitting. Good thing I said yes, because I needed to go down one up one and you all can figure out what that means. There was a flurry of bras that were not-too-fancy but still very pretty and certainly more bras in my size than I had ever been offered at once.
