I have been a Belle Mode customer since 2016 - a decade now. The selection is dependable and beautiful. The store is very well laid out. The staff is friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable. I no longer live in Virginia, but I do travel back to the area annually and I rely on these wonderful women to help me make sure I am correctly fitted and feel comfortable and beautiful. Good lingerie costs, but it also lasts. I have never purchased a bra that fell apart shortly after buying it from Belle Mode and I have gotten miles out of their items. After going braless through Covid and then guesstimating my size/ordering online thereafter to weary those ill-fitting turned ratty AND ill-fitting bras into 2026, I felt it was time to get fitted and invest in quality bras that fit. I found this place online and drove out to Fairfax from Arlington and it was so worth it! The ladies at Belle Mode really took care of me. I found out my true size which was way off from my "guesstimation." My swimsuits are no different than my bras and when I saw that they carried super cute swimsuits of varying cup sizes (I'm busty but not a large person, so it's hard to find a suit I don't spill out of), I decided to get a new suit too. I really valued their opinions. Everything about this store is so positive and supportive (pun intended). And, their prices are pretty reasonable. What a great find! I had a bra fitting after postpartum and weaning and Alison was beyond wonderful! I told her that this shopping trip was life-changing, and I meant it. Apparently I've been putting on bras incorrectly my whole adult life?! She helped me understand why some bras give me issues (straps falling off my shoulders) and what to look for based on my individual proportions. I also got to see a very sensitive and respectful interaction providing recommendations to someone about to get a mastectomy. One note is they are temporarily closing until May, when they will open in a new location in downtown Fairfax. This place is terrible. The saleswoman took my measurement and when I asked her what it was, she said, "I really don't know. " She guessed at a few sizes and the bras she brought to me did not fit well. After about 4or 5, I just said enough. I felt like I could've been there for 45 min with the same result. Great find in Fairfax! I've become increasingly dissatisfied with my bras from Victoria's Secret. I feel that VS bras are stylish but lack the quality I expect for something that costs me $40-50 a pop. This place is great! Like most women I've been wearing the wrong bra size. In addition to informing me on this point the women who did my fitting explained that the size will also very somewhat with the style of bra (e.g. racerback vs. standard, etc.) I felt no pressure whatsoever to purchase anything and had a very relaxing experience bra shopping. The shop assistants checked that each and every one of my bras was fitting me correctly and even adjusted the straps to show me where the bra should be sitting to fit correctly. I learned a few things including: 1. Your bra size can vary with the style of bra. All of your bras do not need to be the same size. 2. The band that goes across your back should be resting at the smallest area of your back for the best comfort and support. 3. The bra should fit you on the loosest clasp (i.e. the back strap should be at its largest size when you wear it...initially). The main reason for this is that your bra loosens somewhat over time and the tighter clasps are actually meant to account for this and extend the "lifetime" of your bra. Brilliant! Especially if I'm paying $40-50 for these booby contraptions. For the larger (or tinier) busted women out there I should mention that they carried ALL sizes and if you find a bra you love that is not in your size they can order it for you to pick up. Lastly, when you check out they will save your purchases and preferences for easier shopping the next time you come in (if you so desire). Overall, I ended up leaving with SIX bras. One of my favorites was the "Montelle Intimates" push-up bra. I normally hate push-up bras but this was one of the comfiest ones I've worn. I did not feel that my boobs were awkardly sitting on a shelf and it gave me some AMAZING cleavage. I actually ended up getting one in black and one in nude. Lastly, I got a Natori robe (that I had actually been eyeing on Nordstrom's website) and by god it is the best robe I've ever had. I'll be back:)! read more

This shop had a fishing line of bras hanging outside today on the trees, from the outside of their shop all the way to the end of the row by Salon Citi and Mathnasium. It was embarrassing to say the least!! While I understand your attempt at fundraising and raising awareness, there is no need to occupy the area further out than beyond your shop. I really like this shop. The first time I went, I had a voucher that gave me a bit of a discount so I stopped by when I was out that way (far from me) to see if it would be worth my while to come back. They have a great selection of robes, camis, bras, panties, slippers, sleep masks, etc. They also will order anything, both sizes of what they have in stock or bras that they do not stock, which I like because there are specific bras I go to for everyday wear and I won't deviate from them until they're discontinued! I've been back a few times and have ordered a few items that I went out to pick up. They even got me to try on a chemise that I wasn't expecting to look remotely good (30G here) without a bra, but they were pretty good. It's nice to have sleepwear that isn't just a t-shirt or a full on bra. They also started stocking my favorite bra, which is awesome! I didn't notice a tobacco smell from next door like one reviewer mentioned. They will order things and ship them to you for free (or that's what they told me last time I was there, policies like that change), which is fabulous. I scheduled a "fit party" with 7 of my girlfriends, packed up the champagne, and went in on a Sunday morning! So. much. fun. Nicole and Sam were AMAZING! Everyone discovered how much Victoria's Secret sucks and how getting a proper fitting and some new lingerie can make you feel like a million bucks. If you're anything like me, you hate bra shopping. Before I left home to go to Belle Mode Intimates, I told my husband I'd rather be getting a root canal, and I meant it. I haven't been properly fitted for a bra since before my children were born, so this evil necessity was way overdue. I had heard good things about Belle Mode from my local Moms Facebook group so I had high hopes, but still didn't want to go. Well, all that worry and anxiety was for absolutely nothing. Within seconds of my arrival I was whisked to a lovely fitting area and measured with no fuss or embarrassment at all. And within another few seconds I was trying on one of only two bras. Why only two? Because the first one was almost perfect, except we needed to go up one more band size, and the second one was "the one," the bra I've been waiting for all my life. It wasn't binding or itching or pinching or uncomfortable, it was just what I needed and I was so thrilled. Honestly, I wasn't even in the store for 20 minutes before I walked out with a brand new bra and a whole bunch of self-esteem. After wearing what I knew was the wrong bra size and style for years but not really caring, I realize I should have done this years ago. I felt light as a feather, with the weight of the worry of finding the perfect bra off my shoulders-literally and figuratively. All the work was done for me and I was so happy leaving the store that I found myself petting dogs and waving at small children. Everything was handled so easily and so professionally, with a great deal of friendliness. It honestly felt like I was bra-shopping with a good friend who happens to know everything about bras. This place came highly recommended by some mom friends so I went to check it out today. I was hoping for knowledgeable help with measuring and finding bras that fit well and are supportive. While the store definitely has a nice selection of brands and styles, the young woman at the counter was woefully unqualified or untalented as a sales consultant. She barely said hello or acknowledged my presence ("Welcome! I'll be with you shortly" would have been nice!) or offered any assistance. She measured me and started bringing me bras to try on but it felt like she had very little knowledge about their product. Nor any guidance or suggestions which brand/s might work well for me etc. I'm very disappointed. If you are going to charge prices like a specialty store, you should also provide a superb consult, in my opinion. The owner Nicole is supposed to be great but unfortunately she wasn't there. Please train your employees or you'll be loosing more customers. (How can she just say: "We don't have that in your size" - without offering to order it? That makes zero business sense). Let me tell you something, ladies (and gentlemen). This place and its owner/staff has changed my life. This is no exaggeration. When I went here, I was looking for a cute, comfortable, silky summer robe. Fast forward to three hours later and I was walking out with 2 giant shopping bags, filled to the brim. Here's why. My entire life, I've been wearing the wrong bra size. I didn't know that until this day. I had been fitted at VS (which is basically the Target of bra shopping), Nordstrom and various other boutiques. 36C is what I was told by *everyone*. WRONG. When I walked in, the owner, Nicole, said "oh, you're a 34D, right?" like she had on x ray goggles. A 34D... what?! Me? A 34? D? No. I didn't believe her. It turns out, she was right! She said to just humor her and try some bras on, because I told her I'd show her she was wrong. I told her I was looking for a nude bra with at least a teeny bit of sex appeal to it. She brought me 2 or 3 bras. I tried them on and was completely blown away. Not only did they fit, but it was basically like my boobs were screaming "THANK YOU, oh my god, THANK YOU" after years of stuffing them into the wrong size bra. Not only that, but the lounge wear and robe selections are unbeatable. Cute, sexy, comfy, whatever you want, this place has it. Once you admit to yourself just how often you come home, rip off your work clothes and stuff yourself into a pair of sweats and a tank or t-shirt, this place will become a comfy clothing gamechanger. I never thought spending any money on something I can just steal out of my boyfriend's drawer was worth it - but it's so much better than what you're used to and makes a huge difference in your at-home comfort level. I have now complete re-vamped my bra and underwear collection and own 4 robes from here (one sexy/silk, one silky/comfy, one warm and winter-y but still adorable, and one comfy cotton for summer). I have also tossed all my old sweats for new sleepwear shorts, all types of pj's and actually bought some lingerie that makes MY curvy body type look and feel so incredibly sexy that I didn't even think it was achievable. And last, but definitely not least, this place is completely affordable if you are used to shopping at VS type prices, and it's infinitely better. The service is personalized, the owner knows her products inside and out, so when you go in there you can say "I need a bra for _____ event's dress" and she'll find you 10 options if you want them so that you will definitely leave with something you love. The biggest lesson that I've learned from shopping here is that when you start your base layer of clothing with something that you feel amazing and comfortable in, it will change how you look at yourself in the mirror, how you carry yourself, and drastically increase your overall daily happiness. I'm not even exaggerating, ladies. I'm 32 years old, overweight and very curvy, but I feel like freakin' Tyra Banks strutting my stuff down a catwalk when I put on my bras and underwear from here. I have brought 4-5 friends here (INSISTED) since then, and am actually bringing another today and they have all left equally as satisfied as I was and continue to be with this store. Go. The one sole worker did not offer any greeting nor did she ask if we needed assistance...even as we toured the entire store. If you want me to pay $240 for a robe or $60 for panties, is it too much to ask for at least a hello? Needless to say we walked out and won't be returning. Belle Mode is only worth visiting if you need to be sized. Otherwise, the inventory, pricing and service leave much to be desired. I found several styles that I liked, but when I looked for them in my size, there were none in inventory. I asked if they could order the pieces I liked, but the staff explained they could not based on how the designer (Marlies Dekkers) operates. I found the very bra I asked about on the Marlies Dekkers website in my size. Considering the inventory issues, lackluster service, and pricing at MSRP, I recommend shopping elsewhere unless you have never been fitted for a bra. Even then, there are probably better places to get fitted. The staff was flustered and seemed confused by my questions. read more

First: This place smelled like the tobacco store next door. I could barely breathe the entire time I was in here. Belle Mode needs to do something to fix that smell from seeping into their store! I was disappointed in both the selection and service of this store, especially compared to Trousseau in Vienna. They did not have much in my size at all, including only one strapless bra in stock... and my size is not that strange at all. The saleswoman wasn't very helpful. I actually seemed to know more than her about how my bra should fit. While this store is probably a godsend for anybody just discovering the horrors of how Victoria's Secret really fits most women, I would recommend driving an extra 10-15 minutes for both the service and better selection. One thing I do like about this store is that they have a sale section! Trousseau never puts anything on sale, so I will definitely stop by every now and then just to check the sales. read more
