We visited Bellagreen a couple times in the past month after a couple friends had raves about it. Our friends did not steer us wrong! The food was delicious and fresh and the staff was friendly. I liked that they recognized our friends that were with us and that they acknowledged our friend's food allergies from her last visit. They have great gluten-free options too. We had several items, a couple of the standout items to me were the lemon poppy seed packages and the breakfast tacos. We also tried several desserts which were amazing! The food here is pretty tasty. I like the fresh ingredients and the variety. I had the shrimp tacos which I enjoyed and my husband had the chicken sandwich which was delicious. The service, on the other hand, STINKS. I might have said 5 stars otherwise. I would say 90% of the staff was completely aloof to the fact that any customers were there. Besides the girl who took our order, no one was friendly or made eye contact or paid attention to our existence. So many detached employees sprinting around during lunch service doing completely random and no value added things--often right in front of us. We finally got up to the register to order (the first employee on the first register did not acknowledge us at all for one second); we then made our way up to the next register and as we were walking up another employee ran in front of us to wipe down the counter in front of the register that was already clean. That couldn't have waited for a break in the line to do that? Then after we finished ordering that SAME GIRL cut me off and ran right in front of me as we were making our way to the drink station. Another girl hurriedly comes to a cabinet under the drink station and exclaims "oh no!" while she was down there. It was needlessly chaotic for at most 5 parties dining in the restaurant this late afternoon and the staff seemed over it. My husband's restaurant puts such an enormous focus on people and service that it was a disappointing experience and may make it difficult for me to overlook these things. read more

Had the GF lemon poppyseed pancakes. SO very good. Very interesting texture- not grainy at all. I suggest they serve it with some lemon curd! The bacon could have been a bit crispier and blotted, but still tasty. The Fig and Pig pizza is big enough to feed two, and is so oddly yummy, it was hard to stop eating it. We'll be back! read more

Ate there late fall on an early Saturday evening. Ate on the patio. Very nice, but faces west, so could be hot in the summer. You have to go up to the counter & order your food, and pay for it there, which is kind of weird for a nice sit-down restaurant. They deliver food directly to your table though (you hang a number at your table). Get your own drinks from their machine, or you can order mixed drinks, and they'll deliver it to you. Get your own silverware. Service was fast, food was hot & tasty. I had shrimp tacos, you get 3, a large serving. Reasonably priced, good variety on their menu. read more

Went to the Bellagreen in Plano on Preston Road. Horribly disappointed with the condition of the restaurant and it's patio as well as the staff. First off, when approaching the front entrance, the steps and entire area was covered in bird poop!The patio too was covered in bird poop including the seating and the ground. It was so disgusting! There was a liquid spill or either leaking from the drink dispenser and no one was attempting to clean up the mess. Instead they put paper towels on top of the liquid spill. It still created a hazard along with attracting numerous flies that were swarming around that area. More so, there was an employee who stood on top of the counter top with her shoes on counting bottles of wine. I waited to see if the countertop was going to be disinfected after she finished but not one employee attempted to wipe down and or disinfect the area which she stood on with her filthy shoes!!!! This place used to be my go to place but unfortunately it will be a very long time before I return and only if things have been cleaned up. This place is delicious! Huge portions, my honey fried goat cheese arugula salad with chicken is definitely enough for lunch today and lunch tomorrow. Next time I would skip the chicken. It had a white creamy dressing, and a delightful mix of raisins, carrots, mango, and jicama along with the arugula. I asked about soy-free options, and they use sunflower oil on their grill. They also have dairy-free and gluten-free. We ordered the chicken tenders for a toddler, but they were three big ones and would have been delicious for an adult but were a little too battered for the toddler. I've ordered takeout 2 weekends in a row so that's certainly telling! Pickup both times were about 15 minutes which is the perfect time for me to put shoes on and drive over. I got the curry salad which has plenty of flavor and husband got the primavera pasta. I love their domino cake! I feel like the serving sizes leave you full and only wanting more bc it was that good. I was happy to see this location open close to my house. My family loves going there. While the food is solid, (we always order the shrimp tacos and bread pudding), we really go there for the friendly service. This is not a full service restaurant, but the staff is so attentive and helpful that it often feels like you are in a full service restaurant. I had a very good friend recommend this restaurant to me so I will give it another chance but my first experience here was not good. Possibly my choice of entrees was not a good one -- I ordered the beef tip sandwich on ciabatta. The flavor was good but the meat was tough and dry -- I could barely get it chewed enough to swallow each bite. There was very little horseradish sauce on the bread so it missed the normal "kick" you get from that type of sauce. The soft drink / tea area was unique and cute. However, the black cherry drink was so thick and syrupy that I had to throw it down the drain and then the Dr. Pepper was very diluted and lack its normal flavor. read more
