YUM! good food, fresh & healthy, lots of options if you are a dill pickle fan - beware - their homemade pickles are sweet. yuck! also, DO NOT ORDER THE FRUIT AS A SIDE. for an additional 50 cents you get the SMALLEST bowl of lame fruit. they are all about their sauce for the fruit... but what fruit needs sauce. it's already sweet. read more

Loved! ! First, it was clean! ! That's so important to me, because that means the kitchen is clean! We ordered the Greek pizza and the pepperoni. They were both delicious and I'm very picky about pizza. The bread pudding was the best! You must go! read more

My friend and I came to this place for their veggie pizza. We ordered the Spanish dip, veggie pizza and the famous white chocolate bread pudding. Food arrived quickly and I especially love the veggie pizza! I can taste they used fresh ingredients on the pizza. So far I enjoyed my dinner and will come back again! read more

bellagreen - Local Eggs Sandwich - American Near Me - Houston, Texas

Worst experience! The food is overpriced and old. Ordered a kale Cesar salad with chicken to dine in, only to receive it in a box when I tasted the chicken it was rubbery and a had a very unpleasant taste. Never again second time I ordered something from this place and it still a disappointment!! read more

bellagreen - Not good at all!!! - American Near Me - Houston, Texas

My white chocolate bread pudding was not hot and the dark chocolate was melted all over on the top. The dark chocolate on top use to be just a garnish. Doesn't seem the same anymore. Will not be going back. read more

I love this restaurant!! Your food comes quick and the have a great variety of options. Lovely restaurant. I was quite impressed. I got the burger. Yum! Yum! Yum!!! The only problem is I finished my food before my father found a parking place. read more

This is the first time I've actually eaten at Ruggles, and by my experience, I'm was not let down. The atmosphere was welcoming, it fit the theme of the City Centre, and the food was amazing! On this occasion, I decided to get the Buffalo Burger with natural cut fries. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the greens helped well in accenting the flavor of the meat. The fries could have been seasoned a little bit better, but with it being fries, there's only so much you can do. The service was also decent and the food came out in a timely matter. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the mac & cheese, which is what people highly suggest, but all in all, this is a great place for lunch or dinner! read more

Have you ever seen one of those signs that says, "Under New Management?" Well you don't need to see one here to know this location has a new manager. The whole tone of the place has changed. They are busy as hell and twice I have had a manager or asst. ask me how things are and bring me extra coffee. This so reminds me of the great days at the River Oaks location. When I learned that Alec (a cashier at RO a long time ago) was the manager, I was ecstatic. The food is back to Ruggles Green standard and.... it is consistent! The staff hasn't changed and many of the really great ones are still here, but you just see what a manager who understands brings to the table. I bet they create more new managers out of this location in the next year than any other. And....just had the hemp brownie with coffee. I swear I won't eat tomorrow! Thanks to Alec and your great team, read more

I've been to Ruggles Green several times. I would recommend the resturant to anyone. First I love their bread pudding yummy.... Very good and fresh foods. Salads are large and inventive. Service is quick and friendly. Great for families too, as the children have a place to stretch their legs on the courtyard "grass" . Its always great to walk into a resturant with great atmosphere and friendly and smiling faces(Staff memebers). read more

Had the Buffalo burger and a Cesar salad as my side. Buffalo burger was very juicy and delicious. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and is very inviting. I would definitely come back. read more

bellagreen - Hanging my girl Kristia. Eating homemade pickles - American Near Me - Houston, Texas

I appreciate the abundance of healthy options compared to many Houston restaurants, but the self-service model seems to lead to a bit of a longer wait time than expected. However, the parking garage is extremely convenient compared to the parking situation at many of the neighboring restaurants & its location in downtown Houston is convenient :) Try the house made hummus! read more

The fish and shrimp tacos are good! Fish could use more seasoning and guac and sour cream for sides. My sister ordered the shrimp and crab pasta was the BEST and DELICIOUS!!! read more

bellagreen - Fish tacos are good - American Near Me - Houston, Texas

The food was so great. I had doubts being that I had never been to the restaurant, but I was shook. The spices on my shrimp taco were amazing. Will definitely be visiting again with friends. I also love the hemp shirts! Great eye catcher!!! read more

I enjoyed my meal here. Their menu seems really fresh and vegetarian friendly. I had the veggie pizza and it was really good. It's big enough to share. It came with arugula, which I normally hate but it worked well with the pizza. My cousin had a veggie burger with amazing sweet potato fries. I wouldn't mind going back and trying other items. It's a good place to eat if you are shopping in the Citycentre Plaza. read more

Love this place! Everything is super good here. I've never had an entree I didn't like. But I think my favorite is the salmon salad.

Veggie nut burger's perfect. The sweet potato fries though are pretty darn salty -- will skip those next time. Margherita pizza's a bit on the heavier side with literal chunks of mozzarella cheese on them. Overall, great ambience & food quality. Def think they could up their game with vegan desserts (cakes, brownies, cookies). I know I'd make a run/catering order for these! read more

Food was mediocre at best. Pizza was a bit salty and the turkey burger was very dry and bland. My sweet potato fries were cold when they came out and when I told them, all they did was put them in a bowl and microwave them. Haven't visited since it was called Ruggles but would say the food quality has gone down and won't be returning to eat another bowl of microwaved fries. read more

We had the bread pudding and the creme brûlée. The bread pudding was amazing. And, the creme brûlée was good.

The food is good the management is not If you have a large party you want to go to another place. The place gets enough business so do not care about helping you. Good luck finding a table they will not help you (Management does not care). I get in a fight almost every time. I gave it 3 stars for food and location only. read more

Excellent place to go have well prepare foods with good ingredients (burgers, tacos, and others). In addition, to always having accommodations available as sometimes city center can be really crowded. Reasonable prices! Great customer service!!! Hold up a second. Let's just talk about how amazing that gluten free local veggie pizza is. Would be 5 stars for that alone. Everything else about this place is pretty great, though. Excluding the crowd but it is city centre. read more

If I come here again, it will not be for the burger. Just not flavorful and the bun was a bit stale. My sweet potatoes were one degree above cold. Even with being really hungry, I ate only 1/2 of my meal. My kids did really enjoy the tempura chicken tenders and the quinoa Mac and cheese. I've been here once before and seem to remember enjoying it, so perhaps it's just the burgers that aren't really worth the $12 price tag. read more

I've never given a bad review before. Food is awesome as usual, don't get me wrong. I had called ahead to place an order to pick up, and all was well until I walked in to pay. One cashier was helping another customer, and another was texting on her phone as I stood in front of her, waiting. After a minute of standing in front of her, she finished her text, finally looked at me and sneakily said can I help you? I told her I was paying for my order that I had placed to pick up then she proceeded to tap ferociously on the screen. I'm happily eating my food now, but I hope to God she doesn't do this to anyone else. The poor girl had to stop her texting to work. How unfortunate. read more

I love Bellagreen, originally Ruggles. I live at an apartment walking distance to Bellagreen and I love it. The prices are very reasonable and the food is fantastic. I feel like I can eat healthy here or splurge and either way I'm going to get great service, AND fantastic food. The staff are always very friendly. This is a sit down restaurant with outdoor seating. I love bringing my dog on cool days and eating lunch on the patio. This is not a restaurant where you are waited on, which personally is my favorite kind of restaurant. You walk through the line and your food is brought to your table. However, there is a tip jar at the front that you can tip your lovely staff! read more

Oh man. I love ruggles. I do not love the new his/her bathrooms. Not Bc they were his/her but Bc they were FILTHY. If you're going to combine potties- great , but you've got to keep them clean. I thought I was at a dirty night club. Toilet seats up, pee not flushed, urine all over the floors- the floors sticky and gross. No handle in the stall for your bag. Overall the most disgusting bathrooms over ever been in at a restaurant. read more

Last night we went to Bellagreen, and when we arrived it was almost flooding outside, flash flood and tornado alarms were warning. Some of our friends who had arrived earlier were sitting inside, but a waiter locked the door and wouldn't let us in!! He told us "we're closed and if you want to be with your friends, they have to meet you outside" !!! we were so shocked! because at that point it was not about having dinner, we simply needed a shelter! It was about a human helping another human in the course of a natural disaster! The waiter didn't stop and told us "next time you want to go to a party check the weather"!!! In that weather, you could have been sitting in your home and your house could flood! It was simply about safety. all other waiters were just looking without reacting! It was such a nightmare! Our friends who were inside just came out and we got shelter someplace else. I will never go near this restaurant again! They are another level of customer service!! read more

I am so thankful for the honey goat cheese arugula salad with blackened shrimp and the amazing person who comped my dessert (it was the very end of the night and they were out of the salmon - not a big deal to switch it to shrimp, but he comped my bread pudding dessert at the last minute change). Service was quick and friendly: order at the counter - they bring the food to you. Refill your own drinks at a drink station. Very spacious- plenty of places to sit. read more

I just left this restaurant. Although it's in a nice location with a nice appearance, there was HAIR in my fish tacos!!! When I returned them to the counter thoroughly disgusted they did not apologize and said they would make me more.....more! Why would I want more? No apologies and no options given for resolving the issue, just more of the same. Fortunately, I partially satisfied my appetite with a cup of corn chowder (that was truthfully delicious) I will not be dining there again. Customer service is very important. read more

Where do I begin? I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it tasted like it had been left out all day. Mayo smelled off. Didn't want to chance food poisoning. The manager was nice and swapped it out for a burger. The burger was lacking flavor. As in they forgot to salt and pepper that thing! I was finally giving up on dinner and just aggravated. I just wanted to get a drink refill and leave. As soon as I pushed for ice a small roach came out of the machine into my cup. Disgusted. Will never in life return to this location. read more

Our friend suggested we stop in. It was cool outside so we sat inside. It was a tad to loud but still worth it. The food was wonderful. Full of great tastes. We had the corn chowder poblano soup. I came here not knowing what this place was and found it to be an upscale hipster, vegetarian-friendly restaurant. Having lived in Austin, I had high standards for these kinds of places. While the slightly pretentious atmosphere was not to my taste, I ordered the honey goat cheese arugula salad and fell in love. I've yet to recreate that taste or try another salad so refreshing and delicious. It was a little pricier than I expected but I guess that was to maintain the chic hipster vibe. All in all, it was a nice experience and I would come back just for that salad. read more

Ruggles is such a Houston staple that it's hard to not like it. My favorite thing to order is their buffalo burger with sweet potato fries. The burger is huge and can easily be shared between two semi hungry people. Bread pudding here is a MUST. In fact, we come here just for the bread pudding all the time. My favorite thing about the City Centre location is the outdoor patio seating. Almost forgot! The kids order of chicken and fries is DELICIOUS. It's crispy and juicy and honestly my boyfriend ordered this for himself and we both enjoyed it. read more

Had passed this placed a thousand times since I live going to city center but always ended up going to the same places. After seeing the reviews and photos I tried it out and I can't wait to go back. words such as organic, wild-caught, ALL natural... appear ALL over the menu. and while these words tend to also come with some ambiguity, i have no idea what the crap hydroponic butter iceburg lettuce is! the menu is already extensive enough to navigate through much less decipher frou frou words. either way, we didn't come here b/c we're super healthy and green human beings who strive to eat organic whenever possible- we just wanted to check this place out. i'd suggest giving the menu a look-see before stopping in since orders are placed at the counter where there's not a lot of room to stand around and wonder which of the 15 ($10) burgers/sandwiches you feel like eating tonight. i went with the spicy fish tacos. it had neither organic, wild-caught, or all natural in its description- though it DID say "micro greens", which i have no idea what that means either. i thought they were decent at best. truly, they were cabbage tacos, served on a single corn tortilla and a hint of fish. single corn tortilla means eat fast before whatever juices soak through and render the tortilla useless as everything breaks through. my BFF had the "naturewell natural beef burger". it wasn't too bad either, but didn't amaze us by any means. he found it too mushy, as in to say the whole wheat bun and patty blended so well together that nothing stood out. i found it hard to believe it was so light considering its appearance. it looks to be a hefty burger, but when you hold it, it's extremely lightweight. PINK velvet cake... yes. it's not bad folks. pretty friggin good actually. a non-traditional spin on your traditional red velvet cake. the texture is a little bit lighter as the frosting wasn't heavy on cream cheese flavor. a hint of white chocolate added in the mix made it a whole new thing. and that's generally what i love ruggles for- the desserts. (though i should say, a pink cake is the complete opposite of natural) notes: -the Sweet Potato Fries were suhhhweet! (i'm always partial to SPF) -organic ketchup, no so suhhhweet and actually rather watery. -the ambiance/decor was modern and unique, almost magical. sigh with me... *aaaah* -community sink area, which may be a little weird if you just wanted to see if you had pink cake stuck in your teeth. -dyson hand dryers. yes, that is why you're paying $8 for your hummus and $11 for your salad. eat up, wash your hands, dry them paper free and go about your merry way. read more
