Great place for any occasion. Prices can be offputting, but you get what you pay for, and there has not been a single time where my wife and I did not enjoy it. Try the Texas Goat Cheese Salad or the Carrot Cake and you will not be disappointed. It can be a little loud inside, but there is always patio seating outside. read more

To be fair it's not trying to be Ruggles. This stepchild chain of the old school favorite in The Montrose area is more akin to Cafe Express. It's not cheap and I can't imagine what the prices would be if they offered full table service. My first experience was underwhelming. You order at the counter but they bring the food to you. You can get beer and wine but none of the hard stuff. Drinks are self-service (accept the beer and wine of course...bummer). I tasted the french onion soup, the stuffed artichoke (a special that night) and a margarita pizza. The soup had great flavor and a rich dark color, the sign of onions that had been sauteed for a long time. I took exception to the swiss cheese melted on top as I think gruyere is more common. The cheese had sunk into the soup while on it's trip from kitchen to table except for the portion atop the slender slice of baguette floating in the cup. The artichoke was just okay. It was underdone and needed about 15 more minutes in the steamer or oven. The stuffing had decent flavor but a mushy texture. I would have expected a crunchier and more toasted texture. Again, put that puppy back in the oven! The 'underdoneness' meant gnawing at the leaves rather than a blitheful slip through the teeth. The Margarita pizza was decent but nothing spectacular. And I still don't understand why places that serve pizza haven't addressed the issue of 'hot pizza on a cold plate means a soggy crust in 2 minutes.' Why don't restaurants either (a) warm their plates (a must for any serious restaurant) or (b) serve the pizza on a rack so the crust stays crisps instead of soaking up the condensation under it? For two people with a bottle of wine we paid $60. Thank goodness we didn't have to tip. I'm not eager to return. read more

Although a little on the expensive side, this is a great lunch spot for Houston patio days. It can get crowded, but the food is always consistently good. I like the salmon(rare) salad. This is an easy spot for me to have plenty of healthy eating options that still taste good. read more

Never coming back here. The service is terrible. We were a group of friends with three separate checks/orders, they brought the food on each ticket out separately. A group of us had to watch the others eat while waiting for our food. The food was also terrible, at least mine was. I got the quinoa pasta with turkey meatballs, the meatballs tasted awful and to top it all this place is way too expensive for what they offer. read more

I love coming to this place. They have a variety of food options. Today I had a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato basil soup, and for dessert, pink velvet cake. The food overall tho is delicious and all the staff is great, although Magda is my favorite! read more

Patio sitting. Green lawn. Vegan and gluten-free menu options. Organic. Ecofriendly. Local produce. What else needs to be said? Well, the food! Not a whole lot of vegan AND gluten-free options, but the menu is clearly labeled. Many dishes can be made custom. My go to is always the Super Veggie Tacos minus the queso. I especially like these for the habanero salsa. That stuff is my drink of choice if I can get it in a cup. When ordering, I say, "Absolutely no any kind of dairy on those tacos" and they say, "Done." It's that easy. They know their menu items. On a pretty day, take a seat outside. They've got tables on all sides. It's very kids friendly so bring them all. read more

Nice atmosphere for a casual weeknight dinner. Wait can be a little long depending on your order. Also, the bathroom setup is a little confusing. I like the patio area though. Good place to go with a small group, or even solo. The food isn't "wow" worthy, except for the bread pudding. Get the damned bread pudding. And save some for me, too. read more

Visited Bellagreen for the first time, and it was great! Went with friends, and we all recommend the fish tacos, tomato soup, spicy shrimp pasta, and fries! Great place to meet up with friends or family. Nice outdoor seating too! read more

Really like this place! Waitstaff is super nice and helpful---eager to please. It's always refreshing to go in there. It can get busy, but totally worth it. Food is always better than I remembered it the last time. It's never disappointed. Be ready to park in a parking garage. read more

I feel like this place should have a rating between 3 and 4 stars, but I guess I'm too much of a gimp to figure out how to do that. I liked it, but I'm not sure I am in a huge hurry to go back, besides the fact that I like to go to places more than once when I don't get an amazing first impression. I love the location of this Ruggles, CityCentre is so nice and trendy. I took my boyfriend there for his bday dinner on accident. We were supposed to go to YardHouse, but it was too long of a wait and we had a Cirque show to catch. We settled on Ruggles and were intrigued by the "organic" menu. I'm not one to really be able to tell the diff between organic and just regular food. He got the shrimp tacos and I got the buffalo burger. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. The dip was great! So chunky and full of veggies. I will definitely get it again when I go back. Now the burger, I'll move on to something else next time I visit. It wasn't bad, just had better before. The french fries were very good though, so there's that. My dude got the fish tacos and they were good, but I hate to say BerryHill's are better. :( I did love the homemade pickles! Like I said CityCentre is great and I'm sure there are better things on the menu that I'll try out next time. read more

I'm usually here for a quick snack with a friend, and always get the same thing. A Fire Roasted Tomato Basil Bowl of soup. It's stuffed with mozzerella on the bottom, and a flaky crust (kind of like pot pie crust) on top. I think the only thing healthy about it is the tomato! But its so yummy. It was especially yummy on this random May cold front (where my bf and I sat outside!) He ordered the All Natural Beef Burger with swiss cheese...and in my opinion it was a miss :/. I like the entire organic and healthy concept...but it was rather dry and...er...dry. I wasn't really impressed with it. The Sweet Potato fries were great though! I love the interior of the place, but on a beautiful day I'd sit outside if there's space. The location of this place is perfect within City Centre. When you sit outside it gives you plenty of space to people watch on a busy day. Again...the Bathrooms...are designed SOOO COOL! I know i rave about places with cool bathrooms, but I like it when places make sure every detail isn't overlooked. Pros: On a great day, this place makes the perfect outdoor lunch date. Cons: Organic & Healthy shouldn't feel like i'm munching on cardboard... read more

I love Ruggles Green. All locations are great, but I like the one at City Centre the most because you can sit outside and listen to some live music in the little courtyard. Not all locations serve Brunch, which is pretty lame since its delicious! Food here is excellent, I almost always get the Spicy Chicken Tacos which are delicious! I also really enjoy getting the hempanadas and quinoa tabouli as sides. Everyone I have ever been to Ruggles with has loved the food. I just have one small complaint about the restaurant which is why I give it 4/5 stars. The drip coffee is unlimited refills but not out by the fountain drinks and iced teas. You have to ask the person taking your order for it. This is fine when there is no one in line, but when there is a line its really annoying to have to get back in line just to get a refill on your coffee. (I am NOT one of those people who will cut in line because what I am getting is 'free'. I used to be a barista and thought it was so rude when people who wanted a glass of water would cut people in line or literally interrupt them mid order because they weren't paying for their water, so I will always stand in line.) So please, Ruggles, just put the coffee pot out on the side next to the iced tea pots. read more

This was the first time I've been to this particular location and it was a great experience. I'm a huge fan of ruggles green. The food is high quality, organic, and of course delicious. I've always go for their Kobe beef burger (AMAZING) so this time I tried the roasted chicken sandwich and omg it was absolutely amazing. A warning: it is messy, it is tasty, it is delicious, it is filling, and it will leave you happy. Think of it is a sloppy joe, but with pulled chicken. Absolutely delicious! read more

Ruggles Green is a great place!! The food is delicious and not too expensive. I went for lunch with some friends and the food was great. I go to city centre quite often and I finally went. The humus and pita bread is delicious. I got the Cuban Pork Panini and it was quite yummy. My friends got the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. This place is a must. The serving is more than enough and was so full when I was done eating! Sitting outside is your best bet. The noise level inside is way to loud as you can't hear the person sitting across from you. Sit outside and enjoy people watching and the view! read more

I really do enjoy their food. Always had it To Go. Got it fast. Very fresh. Nice healthy place.

"Woohoo!" my go-to in CityCentre The quinoa pasta crab and shrimp avocado amazingness is the way to go. I've also stolen pizza from my friend's plates and that was good, but nothing can get me off of that pasta seafood dish. They have a patio for days of nice weather and it's a great spot to people watch what's happening on the other patios and check out any events on the CityCentre lawn. read more

We ate here twice during our week long visit to Houston. The first time we ordered the burger and the salmon with gluten free linguine. They were both sooooo good just a little on the salty side. The second time we ordered the burger with no added salt and the spicy chicken tacos. Apparently the whole flavor of the burger that was so good last time was in the salt. Maybe ask for light salt? The spicy tacos were good but not spicy at all. Overall their food is good just not quite 5 stars for us. Great atmosphere on the patio where you can watch families play in the courtyard. read more

While we typically love Bellagreen and order delivery frequently, our order on Thurs 4/29/21 took 2 hours to be delivered, and it was stone cold once it finally got to us. The app said 45-55 min. While things happen, (i) we were not kept up to date, (ii) 2 hours is nuts, and while there might have been things out of their control causing that, (iii) we were offered no apology and no compensation. If it takes 2 hrs to deliver and when it gets there it's stone cold (guess it sat for a long time?), at least throw in a free desert or comp part of the meal. That is controllable but wasn't brought up. Again, things happen but they should make up for it in areas they do control. read more

I always eat here cause I get a 10% discount for working in CCH. Buffalo burger // egg sandwich // Texas Cesar Salad w chicken // Pepperoni Pizza are just a few of my favorites here! shhhh, don't tell my clients! Definitely helps if you already know what you want as their selection can be pretty large. read more

I'm super obsessed with the fish tacos here. They are so light and fresh and come topped with a heaping amount of cabbage slaw. This dish totally fulfills my love of toppings on tacos. If you go with a friend of want dessert to go, I highly recommend he white chocolate bread pudding. It is so rich and so sinful. You won't regret it. I stopped here today for lunch and it was just average. I had the salmon salad...the four quarters of hard-boiled egg had a green nacre around the yolks and the dressing was definitely on the sweet side, something I personally don't care for. Lots of leafy greens, some crouton pieces that were distinctly on the stale side and a dusting of grated cheese completed the salad. That was it. The salmon portion was generous and very nicely cooked--but totally bland. I can't complain about this too much as I'd rather avoid salt where I can (and most places use far, far too much), but some herbal seasoning wouldn't go amiss here. read more

If you're a big fan of bread pudding like I am, a must try is at Ruggles!!! Sorry, I got carried away with myself and jumped to the desserts first. Everything here is freshly made that you bite into. Their tacos are delicious and their burgers are delicious, especially if you're trying to stay on the healthy side of these two types of food. I also had their corn chowder which is also really good but I'm personally not a huge fan of just pure liquid soups; I expected it to have bits and pieces of corn. This is my go to place for something quick and fast when I'm at City Centre but please, do yourself a favor and get their white chocolate bread pudding. You won't regret it. You're welcome. read more

I've been here a few times, and it's been amazing each time. I have DoorDash deliver it to me at work as well. They have somehow managed to make gluten free extremely tasty. I wish there were a few more dairy free options, but I'm not complaining. I can just take some Lactaid and deal with it. They also have fantastic tea. I haven't tried any of their desserts since I don't eat sugar, but I've heard they are amazing, and my friends have made some interesting noises while consuming them. :) read more

Simply the best! Grace recommended the gluten free Mac n Cheese for my husband, who is gluten free. She also recommended the gluten free Carrot Cake. Grace was the absolute best thank you again, Grace! My husband was so happy, and I could not stop eating his food! It was so good and you didn't even know if was gluten free! I decided to go over to citycentre since it was late and I knew the restaurants stayed open later...of course, worried that the food would not be good since they were an hour from closing. I must say, it was one of my best experiences ever...amazing fish tacos and hot sauce, black tea(since I don't drink alcohol), and the Truly divine domino cake for dessert. This is not two bean chili. This is soup. And when they say two bean? Take it literally. This is soup. Nowhere near a chili.

Very generous servings and great display of the food. It's a plus that there is no tip or gratuity on your bill as the only service done by a waiter is them bringing the food and that's it. You order and pay at the register and they bring your food out once it's ready. I had the quinoa linguini with turkey meatballs and you could taste how fresh the ingredients were in the sauce. My boyfriend had the philly cheese steak panini, which he loved. We also shared the crab cakes, which were artfully displayed. The sauce was amazing, their ratio of crab within the crab cakes was worth every cent of the otherwise pricey crab cakes. There was not only crab mixed into the mixture, but chunks as well. And we shared a giant creme brûlée together, also amazing. read more

This place is fine. Always super crazy busy and really crowded -- good luck finding a seat. Definitely bet on a wait for a table + waiting in line for a seat. The food is slow coming out, which I guess is understandble because it's so packed...? Good news for vegetarians -- so many options for you! (And you too, gluten allergy people!) Many of the desserts are gluten-free and all of them are delicious. In fact, the dessert at Ruggles may be my favorite thing about it! Sadly, this place only gets 3 stars because if I'm spending this amout of money, I would definitely go somewhere else. I used to give it 4, but that was when I was a naive and young high school yelper; that was before I explored the Houston/New York food world. HOWEVER, if you are already stuck in line and reading this review or if you are just looking for some recommendations... here are some of my favorite dishes: Spaghetti, Veggie Sandwich Veggie Buger, Goat Cheese and Arugula Salad, and Jenny Dipper Salad (warning... super oily. And I like to substitute the dressings they have listed for others). I'd stay away from anything that's labeled "blackened" because in my experience that only means "so salty it'll leave you bloated for weeks." Seriously, they love to go crazy on the salt. read more
