This place is okay. I enjoyed it a lot more when it first opened. With all the crowds and hasty service, the quality of the food has been declining. It's good for desserts though. read more

Ruggles Green is the offspring of Ruggles chain but the major difference is its emphasis on organic ingredients. With that said, the prices are a bit more, as is the case with anything organic next to it. This particular location is much bigger in size than the location on Richmond and the menu is quite different. There is plenty of outdoor seating. On this particular visit I had the kobe beef hamburger with sweet potato fries and their award winning white chocolate bread pudding. The kobe burger was cooked to perfection. It came out medium just liked I ordered it so I give them big ups for that. However, the burger was lacking seasoning. The sweet potato fries were sweet and yummy. Whether there they came straight from the potato or freezer, that I do not know. The award winning white chocolate bread pudding was good but sort of wet for my taste. I prefer my bread pudding not as soggy. The presentation was stellar as always and I appreciate that they serve their desserts to order. read more

I have been to this location several times and most of the time it is very busy! Despite that, our food always came out good and it is conveniently located next to several other things (studio movie grill, red mango, yardhouse etc). I have tried the salad with grilled salmon, egg sandwich, turkey meatball panini, the grilled veggie panini, vegetarian burger, and the chicken pasta. All so very good! My bf had tried several things that i havent really tried such as he buffalo burger and spicy fish tacos. You get to tell them how you want the buffalo burger cooked and my bf likes it medium rare and they delivered just that. During the weekend it gets terribly busy so if you're in a rush I suggest not coming to this location. read more

This place was awesome. It is in a great area with plenty to-do. The service was fast an friendly. I feel that you can always tell if a place is going to be good by the condiment bar. They had free olives, salsa, and cucumber salad. Great start! The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was amazing. I'm definitely into sweet and savory and this sandwich had it down to a science. The plantain mixed into the pulled chicken was awesome. My wife got a vegan pizza. They even had vegan cheese. There is tons of high quality variety here. Yumm! read more

The soup was sooooooooooooo good!!!! My fish tacos was good. The only thing it need more seasoning, the fish. But everything else on the taco was amazing. My husband had soup, the corn chowder one like me and he loved it!! He had the veggie burger he loved it too. read more

I love coming to this spot. The one in the heights is also great. It's cute to be able to have outside eating and be able to people watch while having amazing food. The goat cheese arugula salad has been my go to for like 5 years. Hey don't judge. Once u have found perfection why mess with it. Lol. But I have been here with many different friends and everything that have got looks delicious as well. Give it a go. Worth every penny. read more

We went on the weekend and early enough to avoid the lines. You order at the front and sit down with your number and they bring your food around. I had the veggie nut burger which they make in-house unlike a lot of other establishments which just cook up a frozen boca. lame. It was delicious. Although they charged me for a side salad vs. not getting one of their sides. They should have a set price for side salads inclusive into the meal. oh well. read more

Ruggles Green was the highlight of our weekend trip to Houston. The food looked as good as it tasted and it was in a great little spot right in citycentre where you could eat outside and watch a million little kids running around on some astroturf. They are incredible with food allergies so if you or someone you know has a gluten allergy this place should definitely be on the list. The gluten free pizza crust is some of the best we ever had, the quinoa salad makes for a great side dish and the burger was cooked perfectly. Too bad we only discovered this place on the last day of our trip... read more

One of the better Ruggles Green locations. This place was my first introduction into the franchise and some of their dishes are what keeps me coming back. They focus on local, organic foods so you know where your food comes from. My go-to dishes are the tomato soup, the fish tacos, and the goat cheese salad. Tomato soup comes with baked puffed pastry on top. Crack that baby open and there is melted cheese. Yum. Fish tacos are spicy, fresh and flavorful. If I'm going for something light then I'll get the Texas goat cheese salad. It's served with mixed greens, strawberries, and warm goat cheese encrusted with toasted almonds. It's fresh, tart, sweet, savory, creamy, and crunchy all in one bite. For dessert I love two things from ruggles: Charlottes Web and the white chocolate bread pudding. read more

Ruggles Green offers diners a false sense of healthiness. With Green being one of the two words in the name, you would imagine that salads would be centric. Alas, this Citycentre favorite cranks out great burgers, alternative pasta dishes (give their mac and cheese a spin), and quite possible the best bread pudding in all of Texas. Yes, I know... big claim. With ample seating, this location provides indoor and outdoor seating (which provides appropriate climate for about 4 months of the year in Houston). The layout of the queue, a principle all too familiar in this day and age of fast casual dining, makes ordering and waiting bearable. The aforementioned mac and cheese provided a cheesy and creamy balance to the light-ish fried goat cheese salad. But, the proof is in the (bread) pudding. They only use bread innards, so as to make this masterpiece as rich and smooth as can be. You never know the negatives of crust until you don't have it anymore in BP. Oh, and they mix in some white chocolate. Reviews are not necessary for outdoor shopping malls such as CC, but I thought I might provide some insight on what RG has to offer. read more

I haven't been here since the name change. The thing I remember most about Ruggles is food that had no flavor. I appreciated the healthy food, I just didn't find it appealing. I did some research on Bellagreen and was excited to give it another try. The menu has several items that I want to try. I settled on the blackened shrimp salad and it did not disappoint. The shrimp was flavorful, the salad and the bright fruit in it were fresh, and the dressing was light and very tasty. The only downside, was that I was very hungry just an hour later. I wish the salad came with a bread, or maybe I should have just ordered more food. Looking forward to returning to try more dishes! read more

This place is great for families. They have a family/kid friendly menu. Unlike a lot of other places the kids meals are a GOOD amount of food! The food comes out quickly! They have recently had some changes in the menu and name. I think it's going to be a great new start for them! :) read more

The riveroaks location closed for awhile and it fell off my radar. Today it popped into my head but I decided to try the city centre location because I had my 2 year old nephew with me and kids can play in the green "park" area while parents/adults relax. The food was great. I had the daily special which was a lamn burger with tzatziki sauce. We brought a bottle of prosecco and a bottle of 2014 Valpolocella that was just *scream* amazing. Foos good atmosphere good it's a win win and a must since its BYOB with a $5 cork fee read more

I had dessert here with friends on the patio. I liked the White Chocolate Bread pudding. We also tried the Charolette's Web dessert and the Dominos Chocolate cake. They were all tasty, but I have had better in all departments. I liked that the Charolette's web best with the tasty espresso cream filling. Be careful where you sit outside. We sat under a tree, and at about 9 pm roaches started falling from it. So we promptly left. read more

I love Ruggles! Definitely one of my favorite spots grab lunch or dinner. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients was what drew me in after the location on a nice green lawn in City Centre. I love sitting outside, watching the kids play and listening to the live music of City Centre. I can't say that I have a favorite dish, yet, because all three dishes I've had this far have been equally great. You could probably try everything on the menu and be satisfied. One common thing I get are the sweet potato fries and their homemade pickles! Definitely try his place out :) read more

All I have to say is YUM! My favorite dish by far is the Ruggles Green Texas Goat Cheese salad. I usually add chicken to it, but it's still yummy without. The melted goat cheese with the slivered almonds is like a party in your mouth! The butternut squash side dish is rich and delicious. Very filling! The desserts are huge.. please share. We made the mistake of ordering our own desserts (1 each) and I was miserably full, lol. The white chocolate bread pudding is to-die for! Only reason I rate it 4 stars is that it is a bit overpriced. I ordered salad, tea and added chicken to my salad and nearly spent $20 - for lunch. read more

I so wanted to like this place, the reviews were good, the menu was so simple (I mean it's pretty hard to get the stuff on their menu wrong) I got the french onion soup to start, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, the cheese film on top made it difficult to eat, and it was way over spiced, the bay leaf and other spices in it were just too strong! For my main course, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, my fries were stone cold - I sent it back, he brought my plate back and a separate side of fries, which were also cold. I was very disappointed, the sandwich was also soggy. Disgusting. The people who work there were also unfriendly and unhelpful. My friends had better luck than I did, they had the pizza, which came out hot and the calamari which they enjoyed, but both my husband and I hated our meals (we got the same thing) and barely touched it cause it was cold. read more

A classy sit or grab-n-go type of place. The dishes were sophisticated yet your standard dishes. They give you a number and the server brings out your food. I got the tilapia tacos and they were good! Sister got the portabella sandwich that wasn't too great. Avg prices. read more

SO GOOD! Like whoa! It's a little pricier than most establishments I would go to ($9 - $15 per entree) but it's well worth it. I got the veggie sourdough panini with the quinoa tabouli and it was unbelievably delicious! Like wow. The ample amount of goat cheese added so much flavor and it was so savory. I loved it. The tabouli was so light and refreshing. I didn't really know what tabouli was but the cashier was the best and gave me a sample to try which was really nice. They also have complimentary pickles slices which were pretty delicious! (They might be a bit too much for people who don't like vinegar) They try to use as many natural, organic, and local ingredients as possible which makes the price understandable and I love that mission. Their pizza looked amazing and I hope I can make it back soon to try that as well as other items on their menu. Yum yum yum! Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! read more

First time to the "Ruggles Green". I ordered the chicken ceasar salad. The chicken was muy dry. My salad, which was my main course, came before my french onion soup. I actually had to go to the front cashier to ask about it. I noticed that it was sitting there for a while. Once they gave it to me, they didn't even put on the bread topping and cheese. It is a very nice atmosphere, but for the price, I expect more. ... The End read more

It's a pretty casual place. You order at the cashier and pay right then and seat yourself. Outside seating is pleasant. Food is decent but sometimes this place smells a bit funky which I do not appreciate. They have delicious dessert too including the white chocolate bread pudding. If you're at city centre already, I'd definitely give this place a try. read more

Get the butternut squash as a side, it's amazing. I've only gone a handful of times, but my favorite is probably the reuben. The bread pudding is supposed to be insanely delicious...I hate to say it...but I've had better. It is admittedly kind of expensive, but what do you expect from a restaurant in City Centre? Everything is expensive there. It does also get super crowded, so try to avoid it during peak meal hours since there's not very much seating. read more

Can't complain. Sometimes hard to find a table, but what do you expect with great food at great prices? The 'Cuban' pork sandwich w/ sweet potato fries is delicious! Bread pudding to die for. Loved everything so far! UPDATE: I started the above review a while back and am just now getting around to finishing it.... I will say now that I have been tons of times, i still enjoy it every time but there is a lack of consistency on the freshness and taste. There have been times where it seems as though they hardly put seasoning and just doesn't taste as great as the week before. Still a great place to grab a bite and relax read more

So Im revising my review. I came here today for lunch and had the shrimp and crab pasta and unfortunately it was pretty bland and either the crab were little tiny flakes or they forgot to add the crab. It came w four pieces of shrimp. Not something I care to order again. I recommend the goat cheese salad and pizzas and of course the desserts. I love the view of this location but it seems to constantly be busy and of course the parking situation can become tedious because it shares so many other restaurants, bars, shops and theatre...but has wonderful desserts and food and all with healthy ingredients. read more

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their items on their menu. Everything just tastes really good! As someone who watches what they eat and likes eating healthy food, Ruggles is the place to go! ALWAYS order the bread pudding....you won't ever be disappointed. This is definitely the best bread pudding I have ever had, really. You can tell them to bring it out towards the end of your meal. You want to eat it hot so you can eat it at its best! read more

A-OK food. If you need something relatively healthy, quick, and OK tasting - this is the place to go. It definitely isn't my top choice, and I've been here more than a few times. But it is one of the cheaper options in City Centre despite being a little pricey for the quality. You order up front and fill your own drinks. Get your own table and utensils. The food typically takes 5-10 minutes to get out - service is pretty quick. The last time I came I ordered the spicy Southwest chicken pasta, which just tasted ODD. I'm a texture person, but there were way too much stuff in the pasta and the tomato sauce used was really watery and pooled at the bottom of the bowl. I felt like I was eating tomato noodle soup and since I was given a spoon alongside the pasta. Not something I would recommend. However I would recommend their fish tacos, extra flavorful and a lot of texture. The place itself is chic, very clean. Outside patio that faces the lawn in City Centre is really nice. One thing I found funny was the men and women share the same bathroom sinks. read more

Mixed bad of feelings about this place..overall a good place nonetheless.. Can't sit without ordering, so order your food and grab a table you'll be lucky to find a spot on the weekends has both outdoor and indoor seating. Almost all the weekends you have some activity bands & stuff in the arena next to outdoor seating so good luck finding outside seating on weekends (evening). Food very good but is really pricey you can easily shell out 40+ for 2. It is a kid friendly place and very noisy one (lively) indeed no problems there. read more

Love the Citycentre area because of the atmosphere. The restaurant was decorated really well and there is a nice outdoor patio seating area. This place was highly recommended by some friends. Process: (1) You get a menu (2) order first, (3) and find seats after you order. (4) Then, Some then comes around and brings you your order when it's ready. I got the fish tacos ($12) , which a lot of people raved about, and the award winning white chocolate bread pudding ($7). The fish tacos were good but good use a better, spicier sauce. The chocolate bread pudding was delicious! The salads and pizza looked really good. It's a great restaurant for the price. Way better than Yard House around the corner. read more

the first time I came about a month ago with my daughter. the service was amazing and the food was great. I was so exited to discover a new place not far from my house. Next time i called in to place an order when I came the cashier reinforced me that order in on the way. An hour later I found out my order was lost and after finally remaking my order, the manager just came out brought me a cold food and said " sorry for the wait". Today I tried again and actually came to order to go. I ordered the same salad but this time I ordered with a chicken. The cashier lady told me the difference in a grilled and blackened chicken and I was very exited to order with blackened chicken. The order came pretty fast that made me very happy and I ran back to work. When I came to work there was no chicken.... Just saying.... read more

Had brunch here today for the first time since the lock down and were really disappointed. There were 4 of us that all ordered together and for some reason my meal was not prepared! When the other 3 meals were brought to the table they asked what I had and that they'd look into it. After sitting for 10 minutes my husband when to inquire and found out that it had never been made although we were charged and it was on our bill! Finally after 15 more minutes they served my meal with no apology. Until we said that we were really disappointed in this! The quality of the food has also gone down I understand some places are struggling but the complete indifference they showed us made us all feel it's not worth going back. read more

This one is better than the one on Alabama. Parking is far better and frankly the service and food are better here. Ordered some soup and some fries for dinner the other day. The location is nice, as it is in the City Centre area. But one negative aspect with that is it gets really difficult to find parking. The food was OK. I liked the soup and the fries. But it wasn't really spectacular. Portions were decent, but you're not going to necessarily be stuffed. Service was average. It took a little while for the food to come out. I really wanted to like the place, but....meh. read more

Been to the one on Alabama and thought it was great. The City Centre location was quite disappointing. We sent the pizza (smoked chicken) was overdone on the edges and raw in the middle. I really like this place- food is good and reasonably priced, and the staff is always friendly. The first time I went I had the buffalo burger with sweet potato fries- very tasty. The second time my fiance and I split the buffalo burger and the quinoa mac and cheese. The burger was good again, but the mac and cheese was really, really awesome. We also had a bottle of their Riesling- reasonably priced but drier than I like, so I liked our pinot grigio better. It's a great place to people watch before heading to a movie at SMG read more
