I came here just to see how the pedicures were. Let me just say it doesn't even deserve one star. I got the basic, my massage was about 30 seconds long. The cuticle softer was about 5 seconds on each foot. It was not busy in the salon so I figured they would of taken their time. Sadly I was mistaken. I wish places would realize we come here to relax, not to be rushed out. The only positive thing out of my pedicure is leaving. I would not recommend this location. I don't know what happened but this place has the worst customer service ever now. They want you to make an appointment but when you get there they never have someone ready to actually do the appointment. They argue with you. They tell you their not busy when they are. 2nd time going there and I booked Thai for an appointment, overall he charged me $65 and 1 dollar for paying with a Debit card. My appointment was at 10AM. I got there around 9:35AM. This post is not to bad mouth or anything like that. I'm just going to say my experience. Thai seemed very low on energy for it being the morning so I assume it's understandable with me being his first client. He kept commenting that his iPhone was on low battery, so around 10 mins later he plugged in his phone to charge after doing a 1 minute text message. He understood my message clearly about what I wanted and was nice. Moving on he tried small talk asking how my day was going etc etc I told him I already got off work since I do the stock shift. He seemed mildly interested asking if I worked at target or Walmart. No I said I work at Tommy Hilfiger. Designer clothes? Is that bribery I hear with his peaked interest? Complete attitude flip. He said he even had no idea they even had a stock shift. Yes the majority of retail stores do, newsflash everyone. Then Thai said if only you worked at Diesel so I can buy my Diesel jeans. Bla bla bla bla whatever. I deal with greedy consumers all the time always trying to abuse your discount. Oh last thing I assume Thai only posts excessively pretty nails on his instagram or the instagram live. I will add pictures 3 days after I got my nails done. I'm giving 2 stars only because I really enjoyed the woman who gave me a pedicure (Cindy). It was my first time going there on Saturday for a gel pedi and gel mani. After my pedicure, they had Daniel do a 10 minute (if that) gel manicure in which he left the gel bumpy, very thin and the tips not completely painted with a 20 second massage on each hand. By Monday, two of the nails had chipped. I am 9 months pregnant and did nothing strenuous or crazy with my hands. I have NEVER had gel come off so quickly- maybe after 2 weeks but not 2 days! I called and Tom told me to come in so they could fix it. I went yesterday to have it fixed (Tuesday), Daniel was not there to fix it so a lady name Tammy worked on my nails. Instead of redoing the two nails that were chipped and adding a layer of gel to the rest of the nails (which you could tell were about to chip), all she did was file the nails a little and paint another layer of gel over them. She also told me I must be rough on my hands, I said "no. Daniel is just not a good nail tech." I understand it was not her mistake to have to fix but do not ever blame the customer for a crappy job one of your coworkers did. There are multiple reviews on how awful this guy is- maybe they should let him go! He put no effort into his work!! Also, if you're going to "fix" something, do it right. I gave her $10 even tho I had already paid Daniel $37. By the time I went to bed last night, one of the nails she "fixed" already chipped AGAIN. Never am I going there again. I'm one HAPPY CUSTOMER Friday was my first time at this nail salon. The reason for me even stopping by was because of all the yelp reviews specifically on Aiden. I had to see for myself if what people stated was true, and wow how she did deliver! I am obsessed with my nails, one weird thing is my pointer fingers are a little slanted no nail tech has ever been able to give me a straight acrylic nail. But once I stated that She accepted the challenge and succeed. My favorite part of her service is that she cares genuinely for her work. I had two marble nails done, she blew me away when she finished the 2nd one and was not pleased with her work. Most nail techs will leave it but she took it all off and started from scratch. Today was my first trip here, as suggested by my sister. Her & her BFF frequent this salon as it is centrally located in Oxnard, has plenty of parking, very clean & reasonably priced. I had the spa pedicure which allowed me to soak my feet, get my feet scrubbed, legs massaged, cuticles cut & toe nails polished. This service costs $21!!! Normally this would be $30-35 at my regular spot in Thousand Oaks. I got my pedicure done by Linda, who was very nice. I let her know that I was due to get a haircut at 1pm, & I would need to leave by 12:45. I came in at 11:35am & my pedicure didn't start until 11:40am. She didn't "rush" the job, but she could have taken a little more time, because I was finished by 12:20am. I would have preferred if she had taken just a few more minutes with me. Also, I wasn't particularly fond of the chairs they had. The seats were a little too low & could not be adjusted to go forward more. Maybe due to my short legs & wasn't as comfortable & didn't feel as relaxed & pamper as I'd like to feel. Don't let this discourage you from coming here, that's just my experience. I went to go do my nails because I was so excited to take engagement pictures. I am honestly heartbroken and upset. Tammy did my nails and I told her it was for a special occasion. Not only did she rush but she was very rough with me. I had polish on and instead of taking it off with nail polish remover , she removed it with the nail grinder. she cut my nails without asking and she used a nail clipper that she did not take from a sanitized pocked. The worst is that she hurt me and my nails don't look smooth. I better not get a nail skin infection where she hurt me. I was so mad that I paid and left because I feel like crying. I found this nail salon off of yelp and decided to go because it was near my church and wanted something close by. I got a fill and a pedicure. I really liked the work they did, they took their time and did a good job. Because I wasn't planning on getting my nails done that day, I wasn't prepared and didn't take the right shoes but they let me have a pair of sandals. I left and an hour later, I put my shoes on but for whatever reason, my nails hadn't dried and one of my nails got messed up. I went back 2 days later and they were able to fix it with no problem. The reason I only give it 4 stars is because of the price. It said a full set was $28+ and a fill was $18+ but they charged me $30 for my fill and I didn't even get the nails long. However, my only complaint about him is that he can be a little pushy with your feet or hands. The place it's self is a lot cleaner than most and gets busy. Long review but please read to inform yourself and know what to look out for for future references. I'm going to start off by saying please, DO NOT COME HERE. I got my nails done here towards the end of November while visiting my boyfriend and I regret not listening to the negative reviews. My nail tech was Tammy. For starters, Tammy is an incredibly talented nail tech though she was very rough when handling my nails and seemed like she was just in a rush to go home as I was her last client. She left me with cuts on my fingers and in general was very rough when filing my nails. Another thing to note was that she DID NOT DISINFECT HER AREA OR HER EQUIPMENT. I came in to get my nails done with my boyfriends mom (who also got her nails done by Tammy right before me), and at first I noticed that Tammy didn't wipe down/disinfect her area. Towards the end as she was doing my nails I also noticed that her tools were not cleaned and were the same as the ones she used on my boyfriends moms nails. I was Tammys last client before they closed the shop and it was just her and another male worker in the store, so I felt uncomfortable mentioning anything as I was by myself while my boyfriend and his mom left to go get food while I finished up my nails. While my nails did come out looking beautiful, my fingers were very sore from how rough Tammy was and the cuts that she had left. For a few days after, my fingers hurt and would burn any time I would wash dishes or do normal general things. My nails had gems on them, which most of them started falling off within a week of having my nails. I was upset because I paid $65 plus tip and my nails were already falling apart. They lasted about two weeks before they started to get wiggly, and I was able to pop off almost all of my nails except for my ring and pinky finger acrylics on both hands. Today, I decided I wanted to paint my own nails since I was tired of walking around with just 2 acrylics on each hand, so I tried popping them off. They wouldn't budge as it hurt like crazy due to my regular nails underneath being so thin and my right pinky nail had actually broken in half somehow underneath the acrylic, so I figured I'd just soak them off in acetone and remove them that way. This was impossible because instead of just flaking off, they became GOOEY. They also had a very strong, unpleasant chemical smell which I had noticed beforehand when I was trying to clip them and file them down. Please note that when acrylic nails are made using regular, legal monomer (EMA) the acrylic nail is supposed to flake and become easy to take off within just a few minutes of soaking in acetone. With cheap, illegal monomer (MMA), the acrylic nail takes a very, very long time to remove as the acrylic becomes gooey and messy. Yes, MMA is ILLEGAL in the state of California and was actually prohibited in 2014 from all licensed hair and nail salons as well as Cosmetology schools by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Why is it illegal? Because MMA exposure has been linked to adverse health effects including dermal toxicity and respiratory tract effects. This would actually explain the pain and burning sensation I felt after getting my nails done here, as a common side effect of acrylics made with MMA is pain and burning. It is not normal for nails to hurt after having them done. I am extremely upset that a place that charges $65 for a medium set would be so unsanitary and so lazy and cheap that they would rather buy cheap monomer containing MMA rather than buy quality products and give a good, quality experience. Why charge premium price when you're going to be giving low grade and illegal products? Absolutely disgusting, I knew after reading the reviews I shouldn't have come here but I went either way to bond with my boyfriends mother and to have a nice time and went against my better judgement. I will also mention that I saw a Barbicide Certification that looked oddly fake (they had another one that was actually framed and hanging near the entrance of the salon which looked very much real, so I was able to make a good comparison) which only adds to the list of things wrong with this place. I am not trying to attack Tammy as I do feel like she is talented, but I am calling out this business as they should be ashamed of themselves for blatantly ripping people off and not having enough respect for their work or their customers to buy genuine, good, and LEGAL products. If no one mentions this, it will go unnoticed and this place will continue to be lazy and disrespect its clientele. Please make sure to take all reviews into consideration and go with your best judgement, this applies for all establishments and not just this particular place. read more

Last review I gave them a 5. So unhappy. I rarely get Mani/pedis anymore. I was so looking forward to this to get in the mood for Thanksgiving. The manicurist didn't even clean under the nails. I guess she figured you can't see it. So little prep, I'm going to be amazed if the polish stays on a week. I asked for some art on my nails and she didn't even try to work with me on it. Tammy did my nails and she did an amazing job, i'm obsessed with my nails. I paid $60 for my nails but they are definitely worth the price.
