Food was delicious. The service was good. They were very nice with us. The coffee was good, we ordered cortaditos. They use Bustelo which is a good option when I am looking for coffee. The Cuban Sandwich was good, not the cuban sandwich I grew up with, but surely delicious. Would eat it again. It came with a side of fresh platanutres (plantain chips) and a side of mojo to dip. The mojo tasted more like the Goya (acidic and no fresh garlic taste), was ok. Desserts were delicious. We had the flan, but had pastelillos de guayaba and many other delights. Came here for the first time to pick up a few items. Took home the cheese roll. It was so flaky and delicious!!!! Also grabbed some spicy beef empanadas. I had a friend visiting from Houston and she said these were the best she had ever tasted and she ate it straight from the refrigerator and did t even heat them up! I went here on 7/9/23 and had the best experience! I had the Bella Burger, which had a buttery warm bun, a medium well cooked burger patty, and fried potato slivers, which were like little fries in the burger. If you are really into Hamburgers, you should try it. The crawfish potato balls were the perfect size, with alot of potato, and just the right amount of crawfish. I also had the Nutella Flan, which was amazing! If you love Nutella, or even if you dont, you should try this. I cant rave about the Nutella Flan enough. The place is clean, the service is great. Pretty good! Grabbed a little lunch and dessert the other day- cubano, plantains, and a pandan/coconut flan. The cubano is tasty- solid sammich! The plantains are quite good- nice and crispy and just the right amount of salt. The flan- yum! The pandan flavor shines in the nice moist cake that the flan sits on top of. The flan is nice and creamy and sweet- I want to try a regular ol flan to see how it is (assuming tasty). Will be coming back to try more stuff! read more

I have been wanting to try Bella flan since they had their storefront at a gas station. I finally tried it! The woman that greeted me upon arrival, so sweet, such a welcoming smile. Now to see them open up their new location in Richardson in addition to serving a cornucopia of delicious fried goodness/ balls?? Shut the front door. The moment I stepped in, I pretty much got everything in the case. The classic papa rellena, crawfish balls, ham croquetas, pastelitios de carne, and guava y queso pastelitios. OMG Amazing little shop. First, I want to say Congratulations on opening your shop, a very difficult thing to do during the pandemic. I was craving a good Cuban sandwich and they delivered to perfection! started with the Papas Rellena the beef and the crawfish ............ amazing the crawfish had a perfect balance of crunch sweet crawfish and spice and the beef had a perfect flavor. the Ham Croquetta was really good too. The Cuban sandwich is definitely the best I have had in Dallas and better than most I have when I lived in South Florida. I got so excited with the Cuban sandwich and Rellena that I forgot to get dessert. the Flan is perfectly balanced not too sweet and cooked to perfection.............. I hate overcooked flan like I get in most Latin bakeries :-). I can't wait to try the Choco flan and the Tres leches, but they look as awesome as the flan tasted. Cuba has a special place in my heart. I visited the island in 2018 and fell in love and they have done so much for my family's native land. Needless to say I love Cuban food. All were good, but my favorite was the bbq pork empanada that had a sweeter taste. We also shared the Bella Frita burger and it was very flavorful. Let me just say that I just so happened to stop by this place when I was painting next door. It was right before they closed and I was about to walk away and I was waved to come inside by the most amazing woman. I ordered a coffee that I'm still not sure exactly what it was but it was amazing too. Also got an ube crème brûlée I believe and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The absolute best flan, sandwiches, and actually everything I've tried - around! The Bella Frita black bean burger is fantastic with the right blend of spice, crunch, textures and flavor. Few places do a a black bean patty right, and this place definitely does. Give it a try, because even my meat and potatoes husband thinks it's great. The vegetarian Cuban sandwich is my son's favorite and gives even more alternatives to vegetarians.
