It comes with white rice and black beans, but you can have them mixed together, which is absolutely the way to go. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors was fantastic. We chose fries and iced tea, and they generously brought us BOTH large iced teas. The sandwich itself was huge, easily big enough to take half home. It was perfectly grilled, warm, and melty. That didn't matter to me because the food did all the speaking and she knew we were pleased with our empty plates. Now to the food. We ordered empanadas de camarones (shrimp) and yuca frita cubana as appetizers. The way I've been dreaming about those empanadas days later. Superb! For entrees, hubby ordered the Masas de Cerdo Frita (fried pork) with moro rice & tostones while I ordered the Camarones al Ajillo (garlic shrimp) with moro rice & plantains. I have no notes because our food was delicious. Everything was so flavorful. My hubby took my garlic sauce home to eat with his leftover pork. Lol.
