When we go on vacation we try as many spots as we can but if a place is good enough, sometimes we go twice. This place is truly special. Very close to my foodie heart . First time ordered light to go: congri (cuban rice mixed with black beans) and patacones (smashed up double fried green plantains). My expectations were low. The congri was a religious experience. I've only had congri this good another time in my life and that was home cooked by a Cuban friend. This congri is better than anything in Miami. It's better than Versailles and it's probably the best congri in the world . I come from Ecuador and plaintain runs thru my veins. That I know of Cuba is not known for excellent patacones. But these were up there with the best I've ever had. And trust me that's high praise coming from an Ecuadorian. Second time we came we ate light at the restaurant: 2 cheese empanadas, a cuban coffee (that espresso thimble thing) and a mojito cocktail. The cuban coffee was the best I've ever had but I'm biased bc he put a little sugar in it and it was deep and perfect. My wife who is half Cuban likes it straight (no sugar). The mojito was good but it needs a little work. For the best mojito ever go to Miami's Cafe Versailles. The lovely waitress who waited on us was attentive and even offered to take a picture of us. Met the owner/chef and he shared some of his incredible life story. I'll respect his privacy but he had to go to epic lengths to achieve his American dream. We ordered $100 of food to go. The pork cuban tamal was infused with pork flavor to the max. The sanduche Cubano would be something that fit right in Miami. His Ropa Vieja is right on par with my wife's ropa vieja which I consider better than any I've had in ANY restaurant including Versailles and La Carreta. These guys are so lovely and authentic that I don't think they even speak English. But don't fret, bring your Google Translate and be treated to some of the best Cuban food anywhere. I really loved this place and I really love these guys. Like the owner said: "trato de dar lo mejor de mi" = I give the best of myself from the heart . That's my kind of place. Can't wait to go back

The waitress for us did not speak english very well, but enough to communicate and understand orders well. Spanish recommended! I love the ambiance of this place, as it feels like a cuban restaurant and I really felt engrossed in the music and colors inside! The cubano I had was pretty good, I do wish I could taste the mustard more and the pork was a little dry for my taste. Overall a nice cubano and the steak was very tender and thin!

The appetizers were okay, nothing special. The sauce that comes with the appetizers was flavorful. The pan con pollo was also okay, nothing extraordinary. My favorite is the bistec encebollado, it was delicious! The rice paired well with it. Great customer service. Plenty of parking.

Came here on a Saturday evening randomly. I ordered numerous items because I live far from the location. The servers were cordial and the place was not very busy. The prices seemed average. As for the food: Chicharron: absolutely delicious. Crispy on the outside and so moist on the inside. Wish I'd ordered more. Tamale: I haven't had a cuban tamale before so cannot tell if the taste was typical but I wasn't a big fan. Oxtail with yellow rice and black beans: I found the oxtail to be a bit under seasoned and not particularly moist. One piece was difficult to eat because of how tough it was. The sides were average. Picadillo with yellow rice and black beans: the meat was fine. The sides were fine. Not particularly memorable as either great or less than great.

We went here for dinner. My family treat me for my birthday. We ordered their famous Cuban version of Seafood Paella and Fried Plantains. Their Paella has a lot of fresh seafood and veggies ingredients. What a huge order. They're delicious. Service is good. Clean and well decorated Cuban Restaurant.

Me encantó. Muchas felicidades!!

Even better right?? Well welcome to Parks Coffee! I've driven past this place so many times on PGBT that I googled them and saw they offered tours. So I immediately booked one and have to say it was well worth the cost. You get to see the behind the scenes and understand more about the process of making coffee. There is even a tour you can request in which you can roast your own bag (details on their website as it may change from when I post this). At the end of the tour you get to try a sampling of their single origin coffees that are paired with bite size pastries from a local bakery, La Casita, that were delicious! The pairings really brought out the notes in the coffee and even I felt like a coffee sommelier! Plus after the tour you get a discount at the coffee shop and it applies to their sweet shirts. Overall I highly recommend checking them out and taking the tour. Their coffees were great and the tour was enlightening.

Luckily, there's plenty of parking in the attached garage and a good number of tables and chairs inside the store. However, most people come with a group of 4-5 people since it costs $15 for the first person as a base, and then only $5 more per person, with a max of 5 people per group. We were lucky enough to snag a table, and we got to enjoy their various classic games, including Jenga, Uno, and even Monopoly! They also have some stands that sell various crocheted plushies, stickers, and cool keychains. In regard to the Boba, there is a good amount of tea bases that you can choose from, and so many flavor choices as well. It's awesome that they let you customize your sweetness level, and you can add on toppings such as boba, lychee jelly, or coconut jelly for no additional charge. My friends and I each had about 3-4 Boba drinks, but the best one we had was definitely the Thai tea with brown sugar and boba at a 50% level of sweetness. It was refreshing, and you could actually taste the tea flavor. The boba was soft and chewy. Hopefully, they add some popping boba in the future. We will for sure come back to Miao as it's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy some classic board games!

While I have only ever come by to quickly satisfy coffee cravings, there is ample space to study or hang out with friends! The atmospheric music is not loud and distracting but rather adds to the peace of the cafe. The menu is quite diverse and even includes food options, not just pastries! Over the years, I've always stayed true to my caramel tomnccino (blended caramel/coffee drink topped with whipped cream) as it is sweet but still strong. I've noticed that this location tends to be less consistent in the make of the drinks, but overall I've always enjoyed it. According to Sarah, this one won a Dallas award for best Cuban. - See photo. I have had more than a few Cuban sandwiches in my life, and this one is absolutely top tier. I found the spot on Yelp and we headed over right after a trip to the DMV. We definitely deserved a treat after that. We ordered two sandwiches to split, the shredded beef and the original Cuban. They offer several variations of Cubans..., including one with mortadella that I am already planning to try next time. I will admit, in the review photos the sandwiches might not look pressed or buttered enough. Trust the process. The bread was perfection. I am very particular about grilled sandwiches being truly grilled and fully heated through, and these ladies know exactly what they are doing. The original Cuban was perfectly balanced and a rock solid classic. The shredded beef was - (Meat prep courtesy of Sarah) a delightful surprise, slightly sweet and savory and incredibly flavorful and texture. Just really, really good. We also got a bag of plantain chips, and I respect that those are the only chips they offer. No generic bagged Lays here. Plantain chips or nothin' - I like it!!! There is also a display case full of beautiful baked treats made by Rita. After sandwiches at that level, there was no way we were leaving without dessert. We took three to go: a meringue filled with dulce de leche, which was a total sleeper hit, a guava and cheese pastry, and a dulce Napoleon. Every bite felt special. The inside is authentic and charming, though the tables are a bit tight. I cannot wait to go back.
