So cozy and fragrant, it made for a great companion while walking around downtown. Also grabbed the croissantwich with bacon, eggs, and Swiss cheese, and it totally hit the spot. Flaky, buttery, and super satisfying. A fantastic breakfast combo. The woman at the counter was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which just added to the overall vibe. Damn. Just saw a brand new sign today. No longer pet friendly. They used to sell dog treats at the register, so we would walk our dog here every weekend to get a crossaintwich and some treats for our girl. First I didn't even know they existed. When I walked I saw the espresso machine and pastries and knew I just found 'the place'. They make their own cookies and scones, which I would highly recommend. The muffin was okay but store made, someday maybe they will make them. I was greeted as I walked in and there was no missing where I needed to be. C square is located on a corner of the downtown Carrollton square. When you enter, it's a beautiful spot with so much history. The shop is small to the left of a grand staircase. Upstairs are various business offices. Seating is limited on the first floor. There were no spots, so we enjoyed taking our drinks to-go and exploring nearby shops. We ordered the seasonal specials - a hot Cozy Campfire S'more and then iced Nutty Night. The S'more was more of a mocha with a touch of marshmellow. The nutty night was really flavorful with salted caramel and hazelnut. The treats looked delicious, so when we go back, we will definitely try some! read more

3-10-2022 - First time here, ordered breakfast (to go). I recommend you have patience, there were two workers this morning. Both very nice and polite. One taking the orders and making the coffee & smoothies and the second making the food orders. I walked in behind 2 customers plus there was already a customer that had just ordered. The two in front of me were acknowledged and given an I'll be right with you. It was about 5 minutes before I placed the order, then about another 10 minute wait. There are scones, muffins, cookies, and bagels displayed in cases on the counter. A freezer case with tubs of blue bunny ice cream at the end. The place is in a beautiful historic building on the corner of the Carrollton square. Seasonal specials listed on a chalkboard by the counter. Dog friendly, and had some dog biscuits for sale. I ordered the breakfast croissantwich with bacon egg and cheese plus a breakfast wrap (no meat) with pepper jack cheese (other cheese options are available) onion & peppers. The croissantwich comes with cream cheese spread on one side, I wasn't sure if I would like it but took a chance. To my surprise it was delicious the perfect amount of cream cheese, and definitely stands out over other croissant breakfast sandwich's I've had before. The breakfast wrap was big and heavy with lots of egg inside, plus it comes with a side of salsa. Both items were delicious. The Food was wrapped very well for travel and was still hot when I made it home. Very happy with our choices and motivated to return and try a lunch item. Sorry to pop the bubble, but to be honest...the food was not good. Super nice folks working this joint and a really cool spot. They don't have a kitchen, so everything is either pre-prepared and/or frozen. The cressandwich is tasteless, with soggy bacon and liquid eggs. The waffle was way soft and tasted of dough. Fake syrup (real syrup is not that expensive and tastes way better). The hash brown was not crispy and lacked flavor. Besides that, the coffee was just Ok. The Rueben Sandwich was good. The Chai latte was good (pretty sweet though). The customer service was okay. I also ordered the egg plate with GF toast... the eggs were not real eggs. It think they may have been powdered eggs. The GF toast was not good (I have GF often and it was below average for GF). The Turkey sausage was also soggy. Iced tea was really good though. read more

We had the most fantastic lunch here on Saturday afternoon! I'm from Georgia, so my preference for pork BBQ in Texas is hard to find. Imagine my DELIGHT to see Pulled Pork BBQ on the specials board! We both had the pork and it was awesome - tender, and juicy and it had the ketchup-based sauce. It's a lovely spot and everyone working there went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Lots of seating. This is in the little downtown area of Carrollton so parking right out front can be a limited at times. My husband had the biscuits and gravy plate, the portions were pretty big. I had the croissant sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese it was huge, and tasty. I'd definitely recommend it. The drip coffee was smooth. The latte was okay, I wish the espresso was a little stronger. This place has everything! I was in the downtown area waiting for a meeting and needed a coffeeshop with wifi to finish up some of my work. This was right on the square and a perfect spot to grab a cup of tea! I'm not sure about the history of how this coffeeshop came to be, but it looks like a scene from titanic, well the staircase definitely has a story. Very spacious area with plenty of seating whether you fancy a couch or a table with chairs. There are sweet and savory snacks to munch on with your hot beverage. There is so much variety to choose from. I only had time for a cup of tea but I'll be back to try some of the food! My only disappointment was maybe the lighting (was a little dark) and nothing really gluten-free! Other than that, it's a cozy spot on the square to take a rest. read more

They pay close attention to orders, and remember consistent customers (which is so adorable!) Decently priced food/drinks, and they're really tasty! We had the croissantwiches, blueberry lemon scones, and hot chocolates. Easy options to easily fill you up; The cute surroundings make the experience so much more enjoyable! I used to live downtown and my favorite thing was walking here on Sunday morning to get a croissantwhich or bagelwich. They rarely disappoint. It depends on who is working too. A couple times there was a new girl and she would just put the cream cheese in the bag instead of on our sandwich but normally there's no problem. There used to be a guy there named Riley and he made the best sandwiches ever I miss him. Overall, cute and quiet cafe with adorbale shops around. One of the two coffee shops in downtown Carrollton, with the other being just a mere block away or less. But what sets this place apart is the flavored coffee, which I know some people prefer over drinking espresso-based coffee. Personally though, I don't have a thing for flavored coffee. The space is historic and huge, but it's also a building that is shared with many businesses/organizations, with about half of the space being dedicated to the conservative Church of Christ. While the Church helps give the coffee shop some business, they're not affiliated. Just partners. Initially, I wasn't sure because of the name C^2 (thinking C^2 is in reference to Church of Christ). With the space being huge, they advertise that they have live music, and other events, and they're trying to double down as a community center for downtown Carrollton residents. But upon looking at the calendar online, it seems to be blank. But if it's true, then it's nice that there's a coffee shop that's thinking about the immediate community. But, personally, I think the other coffee shop feels more cozy than this one, whereas this one feels more like a coffee shop one would find within an old library (without books). The location of this restaurant is amazing. Forget getting a drink at Starbucks and working there, this place is much better for that. The building appears to be an all post office but the stairs and floors are just beautiful. The food can be basic but the price is perfect and the specialty coffees are so good. Also the staff is very friendly and always asks about my dogs. They are very personable. Highly recommend going here to turn your brain off and relax. read more

A cute spot with a regular crowd for Sunday mornings~ I do enjoy the atmosphere, it's cute and quaint and seems like it has everything figured out in terms of what it's regulars want! I did think the menu would've been a little heavier, but it is indeed a cafe -- not much more to the menu than continental and a few signature items. I had a toasted bagel with cream cheese but my bagel wasn't really toasted, it was more warmed, and they don't apply the cream cheese themselves you have to Starbucks style it. read more

They have a ton of flavors available all year round to add to your coffee as well as special seasonal flavors and seasonal drinks. It's not a fancy restaurant but they do everything the right way.
