A solid 3 stars for Cuzco Cuisine. The food here was good, not great. I've been on a Peruvian kick lately and have been seeking out Peruvian Cuisine whenever I travel, so I figured, why don't I try it here at home? The atmosphere is casual and has lots of Peruvian artwork with bright colors. There's a large dining area with lots of natural light and exposed air ducts to add an industrial feel to the space. When we dined here on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was about 1/5th full and the service was attentive . The food here has good flavors, but is just lacking the oomph to take it to that next level. We started out with a Tamal de Puerco as an appetizer. This was a large tamale wrapped in a banana leaf with pork, egg and an olive. It was pretty good. For an entree I had the Aji de Gallina. It was a large, oversized portion and to be honest, I made two more meals of it and I still couldn't finish it, so it's a huge portion. I had passion fruit juice with my meal and it was pretty generic tasting. It was good, but I've had more delicious iterations of the dish, so it was more of a slightly better than average meal. Overall, I would like to try them again and order something different to explore more of their menu. read more

Cuzco what has happened? Your food was always excellent and consistent but that is gone. My Peruvian husband and I have been eating more at a new place. When we come back and try you it leaves us disappointed! We tried again today and ! We got the lomo saltado con huanciana. The lomo had no flavor at all for both of us. It was watery and ruined the pasta. You never send sauces with your dishes. We ordered Picarones. They were not fully cooked and sauce was watery again and the flavors were just not there. Over the years we have enjoyed coming but strayed away because your food is not consistent in quality and flavor. I hope you can pivot and make some needed changes in your food quality, appearance and atmosphere (dirty dishes piles on the bar and every where not a good look, and service be more prompt. read more

Food and service were great, but the cookie was terrible. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.

The food is really good and you get big portions for the price. Dallas has mediocre restaurants but this one here is authentic and flavorful. My fav is lomo saltado read more

As a Peruvian, I must say that they have AMAZING ceviche and chicha morada. It is as close as you can get. Service is also great, but packed on the weekends! Ambiance reminds you of home with lots of paintings, and peruvian decor. We also love their chicharron, jalea and picarones! Not a fan of their lomo saltado but the items above are a must have!! read more

Best Peruvian restaurant in DFW. Food is very authentic and tastes spectacular. Their Ceviche Mixto, Lomo Saltado, and Arroz Chaufa con Mariscos are to die for, my top recommendations. Service is fantastic, servers are always friendly and very accommodating to cater to your needs. The ambiance is also very homegrown, with lots of beautiful decor representing Peruvian heritage. Their pisco sour is also amazing. read more

This was me and my husband's first time eating at a Peruvian restaurant, but the food was absolutely wonderful. We dined in and the service was excellent. The server spoke English well enough that it made the ordering quite easy. The ambiance was quite "familial" meaning there were quite a few large parties seated and they looked like families. The music was music playing and the colorfulness of the space made for an excellent date night! read more

Who plate I got it was pretty good. I really enjoyed myself. A atmosphere was a large space with just us and one other couple, but we did go odd hours. The food was really good, the service was just ok. Will likely go again, the prices felt reasonable for the amount of food I got. read more

Cuzco Cuisine Peruvian Restaurant - Bistek a lo pobre - Peruvian Near Me - Richardson, Texas

I went here with one of my co workers as he suggested to come here. He is right in the sense that Peruvian is somewhat like a hybrid of Chinese and Mexican flavors. I wanted to try their AeroPuerto as that is their most popular dish, but they said they did not have the noodles. He recommended me to try the fried rice and chicken dish. I forgot the name of it, but that is what it reminded of when I went to try it. Service wise they tend to neglect us with water and they asked us if we wanted the sauce and I said yes, but they never came back so we had to remind them to get it for us. Then, we wanted sauce to go, but they forgot about it too until we reminded them to get it. They were friendly, but tended to be forgetful and the place was not busy at all. Foodwise, I loved the sauce that I can drench the rice to it. It does have a little kick to it. With the sauce the food is awesome, without it the food was very dry especially the chicken. Food did come out at a reasonable time. Overall, I think I would come back for the sauce and I would give this a 3.5 stars, but I lean more towards the 3 star as the food was dry and the sauce had to make up for it. I would get something else like the Aeropuerto if they have it of course. read more

The food was good. I recommend the pollo Salado and the service was good and the interior was neat and clean.

The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Everything I tried was authentic and on point! The service was a bit slow due to them being short staffed. However, the young lady who assisted us and waited on our table was very sweet and had great customer service. The ambiance was nice. Restaurant was clean, restrooms were well stocked and well kept. I will definitely be back to eat at this establishment when I'm in the Dallas/Richardson area. read more

The food is always awesome! The waitress today was awful, she had a black long ponytail, she had a bad attitude, she was rude she took the credit card from my hand! We waited for the food for a long time and had not utensils! Overall we love the food but the service was horrible. read more

My co-worker and myself were in town for work where we came by this place and decided to try it. As we walked into the restaurant it was spacious, lively and the waiter was very inviting. I've always wanted to try out Peruvian food so this is my first time. Looking through the menu it was hard to choose which one to try out since all sounded so good. I chose to try out their bistec a lot pobre and it was delicious. The bistec was wonderfully seasoned and flavorful. This will be one of my go to food places for Peruvian whenever I come here for work again. I will be looking forward to tasting the other items on their menu. read more

The service is good and the food is wonderful Peruvian cuisine. I enjoy the quality of the dishes and variety of the menu. It is a nice place, simple but clean and always busy. That is always a good sign. The prices are reasonable and the consistency of good meals is to be appreciated. I go often and enjoy it as many others do. It's tucked away in the shopping center away from US 75 and near the Alamo theater on Beltline. read more

The ceviche is very good. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend. Peruvian cuisine reflects local practices and ingredients including influences mainly from the indigenous population, including the Inca, and cuisines brought by immigrants from Europe (Spanish cuisine, Italian cuisine), Asia (Chinese cuisine and Japanese cuisine), and Africa (Maghrebi cuisine and West African cuisine). Without the familiar ingredients from their home countries, immigrants modified their traditional cuisines by using ingredients available in Peru. read more

Mediocre food and very slow service. We ordered our food and waited so long for it to come, and when it came, it was cold. We told the waiter that it was cold, so he just picked up the plates and took them back without saying anything. We had to wait again for the 2 plates that he took with others in our party ate their food. I had to ask another waiter for water refills because our waiter would not come to check on us. It was horrible. Needless to say, we will not be back. read more

Very good service and generous portions. I loved the Jalea mixta and the ceviche mixto. My wife ordered lomo saltado. Delicious food.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant in the Dallas metro area. The food is very good. We typically eat papa a La huancainia, aji de gallina and alfajores. A Pisco Sour is an excellent drink to start with. The service is a little slow at times. The staff are nice. Ambiance is good. read more

This is my first time having Peruvian food since I moved to Texas. I have to say I'm beyond impressed with the quality of the food. I grew up eating this cuisine, and it reminds me of home-cooked meals. 10/10 recommend this place! I will be back! read more

Cuzco moved to this new location from Skillman. The food was delicious but it took a while to come out. We ordered three different dishes to share. The sauces that came out with the breaded chicken were all spicy and so tasty! I recommend trying this dish if you're not too adventurous. We also ordered a short rib type dish which came with beans and rice along with ceviche. The ceviche does not come with chips and they sold out of plantains so I was a little disappointed. I ordered the ceviche spicy level medium - it was spicy! The calamari looked very good - I will have to order this next time. read more

Delicious, great service, and the atmosphere and environment reminds me of when I was in Peru last! I would highly recommend order from their secret menu. I don't know what it was called but it was an Asian/Peruvian fusion. I know they had three different kinds. One with noodles and rice, with just rice, and something else. But I got the conbo with noodles and rice and my husband got the seafood rice. Which was so delicious! We ate it all! Will definitely come back to try their fried food! read more

Nothing special. Ceviche mixto was ok. Yucca was stringy. Fish smelled, well, fishy - which worried me. Service was not good. There were 2 servers - one young, attractive, woman with reddish hair and one heavy-set woman. Both of them were chewing gum with their mouths open. Neither was attentive to the customers. I watched several of them get up and walk to the counter to ask for the check. I had to ask for the water glass to be refilled each time it went empty. Oh, and no chicha morada, even though it was on the menu. Also, no bread served and no aji verde and no orange colored sauce. After you've been to a great, or even good, Peruvian restaurant, this one will be a disappointment. read more
