Some of the best Peruvian food in DFW! The breakfast at this place is out of this world!!!

Ordered the breakfast plate which has the fried pork and tamales and I asked for fried plantains. It was okay. The pork was tender but I felt it was lacking a sauce or something. It was a lot of food, do I took some home. My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado. The seasoning was very good on this one. We will order this again if we come back. Restaurant was clean and had a nice jazzy music. Service was good. read more

Flavor town!!!! The atmosphere is casual service is friendly and attentive and the ceviche was the best! Fresh fish, perfect texture, and great salty citrus flavors that I wanted to put in a glass and drink! Accompanied by the crunchy corn and plump corn sides. The calamari was beyond flavorful it was fried in batter and had a nice spice to it. I wish I didn't live so far I would go here all the time. The staff loved the food too you can tell by how they were so excited to serve it to you. Lots of love in this food. read more

Today I had an a meeting at the Embassy and afterwards I decide to go with my father and eat something at these breakfast restaurant. We decide to order: "Desayuno Tineo" - 9/10, Great Chicken Tamal, amazing Pan con Chicharrón, 1 great Enpanada with a soft Spicy green sauce. "Tallarín huancaina con Lomo" 8/10, pretty good, good juicy steak and Huancaina sauce, good size but kinda spicy for this typical sauce. "Cuy Chactado" - 0/10 apologize to the Guinea pig he died for nothing, It tasted like I was eating fish that had been burnt in French fry oil; the rice was bland, and the peanut sauce was extremely bitter--a sad ending to a great experience: $40 for "Sorry, it didn't turn out right." 8 "Empanadas" FANTASTIC, best empanadas I've ever had in the US. read more

This place was a mess, got our drinks wrong, took over an hour to even get my appetizer yet wife was almost finished with her entree! Said something to them about and all I got was "we told the tables that we were running behind" yeah, all the tables but ours! I call BS. Next time I'm in town I will surely skip this place! read more

The food here is incredible and delicious. The people are extremely friendly and polite. They take good care of you and your guests. Even though the place isn't fancy, it's very cozy, warm, and super clean. I definitely recommend Tineo to my family and friends. read more

Honestly, this was not it. I got a vegan pasta with tofu and tomatoes. It was so plain. Not worth it at all. It's nice that it's like a mom and pop shop, but not it for a vegan. My family likes this place, but as for me, I will not come back. My order was to go, and my brother picked it up, so i didn't get to see the shop nor interact with the staff, so i cannot rate that part read more

Surprisingly good. For some reason I thought it could be spicy but it wasn't. Will order again.

My favourite thing to get here is the beef empanadas! They are perfect for a snack or when you don't want something too heavy but they are filling! The green sauce is great but sometimes it's a bit too sour. Recently went there again and still love the empanadas! The price has gone up but that's to be expected in todays' environment. Still, this place is super casual so no need to dress up! And service is good, nice people! read more

A solid spot for Peruvian food. I would definitely take advantage of their lunch special; it seems like a pretty great deal. The inside is very mom and pop like, but also very clean. Food wise it's nothing too mind blowing. The beef was a bit dry; ceviche was solid. They have a lot of desserts and I'm excited to come back and give those a try. Service was a bit slow, but it wasn't too bad. FYI: sadly Yelp check ins down really apply here. read more

Delicious post theater/early dinner. Service was kind, helpful and fast. Tables were plentiful, but filled quickly for the dinner rush. Menu was extensive. Felt very much like a neighborhood spot with lively Peruvian music playing. Arroz con Camerones was our favorite dish, but all the dishes were tasty. Food is ok. Not a big deal. A lot of customers and the server getting the orders by mind (at least with me). Then I order beans to accompany the white rice and the server brought them when I was almost done with rice so I put a little bit of them on to of the little bit of rice I had left so needless to say I left almost the whole plate of the beans. I will no go back again unless someone pays for my food. read more

Stumbled upon this place while visiting a church and decided to give a try. Coming from New York where there is amazing Peruvian food, I was curious to see how this place would add up. Immediately upon entering I got a very authentic homey vibe. It was around lunch time and the place was moderately packed. Based on the interactions with the servers and the guest I could tell some of these guests had been here time and time before. The service was great, our waiter introduced us to something I've never tried before. It's made with purple corn (literally purple corn, she actually brought one out to show us) however it taste nothing like corn. It's called Chicha morada. It's not too sweet and really good. However my favorite was the half and half mix between the morada and their passion fruit drink. That one is called Maracuchicha and it's divine! The food was good, well flavored and quite enjoyable. I usually order the lomo Saltado when I visit a Peruvian rest. so I got the chicken instead of steak. I prefer the steak. It captures the flavors better and is less dry. Nonetheless, if I'm in the area I'll def be back. read more

I haven't had Peruvian food in a while so we popped in here to grab takeout for lunch. The restaurant was bigger and cleaner than expected, which I didn't expect! They had bakery items on display as well. Staff was friendly. We ordered the breakfast combo which came with a beef empanada, pork sandwich, and a chicken tamales. Their style of empanada was new to me. It tasted buttery and a little sweet. The beef inside was different as well, which had almost a meatball-like texture. Loved the shell, the filling was ok. Still enjoyed it nonetheless. The pork sandwich was delicious with the green sauce. I don't want to write about it because I'm hungry just thinking about it. Get it! The chicken tamales was a little dry, but nothing the green sauce can't conquer! Enjoyed it. I will go back! read more

This place is over price for the grocery items. The food is ok chicha have no taste. Ceviche very small for the price and don't have the flavor you craving for. The rachi here is way too toast. The service is kinda bad they don't wait till you finish eating before they start cleaning your table. Seems like they just want you to leave now. read more

Vibrant cafe/bakery serving authentic Peruvian dishes. Family owned and run, from appearances. I'm a fan of Peruvian sauces, e.g. huancaina. The ones I had are homemade. Definitely get an Inca Kola. It's not amazing, but I've never seen one stateside. I ate the lunch #1. It reminds me of the type of Cubano you get in Vedado. Picked onions, fried pork, on top of the sweet potato. What's really unique is the bread. We'll definitely be back to tour the menu more. One last thing, for everyone who enjoys spicy. Ask for a side of the hot, hot homemade orange sauce. It's off menu. read more

Having our Sunday lunch here. You will know a special Peruvian eating place when you see a lot of local Peruvians eating with their families on a Sunday family lunch. The food was good and flavorful...some of the menu items a little high on the price. For example, it was $20 on two coffees and a thing of sweets. The beer is like $8 a piece. The papas could use a bit more of seasoning. The ceviche and fried seafood were great. read more

Came here with my husband and our best friends , we never really have had Peruvian food much other then a couple of times they have cooked it for us. The food was really good, I like the potatoes with the cream sauce. I personally got the Cau Cau cause I'm a huge fan of menudo soup. The flavor was very good, the food took a little of a wait to get it but there were a LOT of people there . My husband got the goat meat and that was Delicious! I'll have to get that next time cause the meat was fall of the bone good I was actually impressed that the waiter and waitress handled everything so well considering the amount of people there. Second time dining here. Placed an online order - the food was ready shortly after I arrived for pick up. The staff are incredibly friendly. The restaurant has a pastry case with cookies and bread - all looked delicious. The food had great flavor and reminded me of food I loved on past trips to Peru. This place seems very authentic and prices were reasonable. My recommendation is the aji de gallina - it was a large portion. The lomo saltado is also excellent. Our last visit was nearly two years ago. My husband had bought another Groupon and "surprised" me. It turns out that I WAS surprised. The overall presentation and quality of the food has improved. The dining area is still concrete flooring with non-matching tables and chairs. It was cold in the dining room today, too, although it wasn't that cold outside late in February. Today, instead of entrees, we decided to try the sandwiches on their fresh baked authentic Peruvian bread. I had the sauteed beef, onions and tomato - Pan con Lomito - and my husband had the Pan con Chicharrón - fried pork and sweet potato slices with pickled onions. ($6.99 each) Last time, I wasn't impressed with the Papa Rellena ($6.99); but I love them! so I ordered it again and my husband ordered the fried plantains. I will say that this time the rellena was larger, with better seasoned potato and ground beef; but their standard seems to be one olive, three raisins in the middle and a piece of egg. Mine was all egg white. Beware - my olive had not had the pit removed. The exterior of the rellena was crispy and the pickled red onions it comes with are to die for. I mean it. It's $7 for this potato so if you are curious and want to split it, it's worth checking it out; but I have had more generously stuffed papa rellenas - more raisins, olives and egg and better seasoned. I added salt and salsa today. The salsas are much much better. Delicious in fact. The green is still fairly mild. The red is hot. The plantains are perfectly cooked; these were sweet ripe ones ($2.50). My beef was not especially tender nor was there much of it for $7, however it was very savory and I loved the bread. My husband loved his pork sandwich. The pork was nice and crispy and he was happy with the size and taste of his sandwich. Service was impeccable when our designated waiter was at our table. Not all staff seemed to speak adequate English for non-Spanish speakers. Again, I feel that there's better Peruvian food out there in Dallas and it's suburbs, so we need to be "choosing wisely." read more

I'm pretty excited to come back here, but I'm going to drag my husband with me next time. He is trying to cut down on his cholesterol, so he has to limit the type of meat he can consume. They have a lot of different chicken dishes on the menu which is perfect for his dietary restrictions. In the meantime, I can still enjoy some of the beef and pork dishes. Ah, the benefits of being so much younger than one's spouse...I still get to throw caution to the wind and eat what I want. This place offers a bit of everything for everyone. I came during lunch on a weekday. The generic room with your basic snack bar-style tables and chairs let me know that the focus here was on the food and not the decor. There was only one other person there. Because of this, my server was very attentive. He brought me a menu to ponder over. The lunch express deals are great for those wanting a combo meal at a decent price. I was going to order one, but my server suggested a beef sandwich instead. It was a sloppy mess on freshly made Peruvian bread. It reminded me a bit of a Philly cheesesteak; although there wasn't any cheese on the sandwich. The beef was sliced into small, thin chunks that were easy enough to eat. Some bites were a bit tougher than others, but the flavor was present. There were lots of grilled onions in the mix, and this contributed to the bread getting soaked quickly. The sandwich began falling apart, but I woofed it down before it did. The server brought a few dessert plates to my table I wasn't planning on having dessert, but he talked me into it just by presenting his favorite. It was basically a creamy custard cup. The flavor was gentle, but I wasn't a fan of the caramelized skin on top. This unpretentious Peruvian diner offers some typical favorites from the region. I look forward to returning to explore them all. read more

A very pleasant experience. We dined on the Lomo Saltado and Aji De Gallina, drank Chicha Morado and Jugo de Papaya with sides of Pan Frances and Fried Plantains.
