Give it lots of time then quality comes down, chefs change, and unfortunately that's precisely what tends to happen at this restaurant. Ordered almost precisely the same dishes as before - eggplant with garlic sauce, fried rice, and baked salmon rolls. Each and every dish was below expectations and nowhere close to what I remember. Taking it down to 2 stars and hard pass for me and my family from now on. Such a shame that it has a great location, but it's just not being used to its full potential. C'est la vie, Bella and Yang! This is my favorite place to take out of town guests. The food is well made and presented, and always good. They have a variety of good vegan options. The meats and vegetables they use are good quality, noticibly better than cuts of meat at most other Chinese food spots I've tried locally. I strongly recommend garlicky eggplant (it's not spicy), brocolli beef, orange chicken (nice and crispy, good cuts of chicken), and custard bao. We haven't had a bad dish there, but those are some of our favorites. Service is friendly, and the environment is cozy and fun. I was at the indoor playground that is next door and needed some lunch for take out so I called in my order. I ordered the tiger roll and the shrimp fried rice. The tiger roll wasn't my favorite. The fish didn't taste that good to me and the combination with the mango was not good. I would skip that roll. The shrimp fried rice was flavorful and delicious. It had a decent number of shrimp in it and was reasonably priced. I would definitely get that again. An added bonus: It was ready in about 15 mins so that was good! read more

My wife had a dream about sushi and being unable to eat anything because the stores were either sold out or she couldn't have any (due to pregnancy and raw fish). She immediately woke up and told me that she needed sushi. Unfortunately, our usual go-to spot was no longer offering a AYCE take out option, so we decided to branch out and try something new. Our Yelp search led us to Bella & Yang--a compromise between sushi and Chinese food. For those of you who don't know, my in-laws are from Hong Kong and prefer to eat Chinese food above all else. We decided to try this place as it has really high ratings on Yelp. My wife ordered a dragon roll, rainbow roll, pan fried pork buns, Mongolian beef, shrimp chow fun, and spicy boiled fish. We had to wait a few minutes before our order was ready but the server said he would walk the order out to us and informed us of a holiday special they were having ($85 that feeds 6 people). The food smelled super good on the drive home and we couldn't wait to try it. The pan fried pork buns were pretty authentic and was filled inside with juicy meat with a crispy fried exterior. The spicy boiled fish (although doesn't sound very appetizing) was actually the best item we ordered as it had plenty of flavor and spice. Tht Mongolian beef was supposed to be spicy but for some reason, it was on the sweeter side. Unfortunately, the chow fun and sushi left a lot to be desired. Overall, this place offered pretty good Chinese fare, but on the expensive side; my wife wished that the server told us about the holiday special before ordering. This place is horrendous. Cold food. No flavor. Kids working there had zero customer service. I had to ask for utensils when my sushi finally arrived. I had to ask for plates and napkins. Establishment: 5- It was clean and nicely renovated, has an open concept, sushi bar and drink bar. Beverage: 5- Thai iced tea. That was yum! Service: 3- the person that greeted us was a 5 but the servers lack of knowledge and personality brought it down to a 3 Food: 2- I was just totally unimpressed with the taste for such high prices. The only redeeming thing were the glorified chicken nuggets. They had a good flavor and I enjoyed the crispiness of each bite. This place has a really nice feel when you walk in. It's really well renovated and it looks like you're about to have a really yummy meal. They have a bar area which might be good to check back for a date night. Hubby and I came here for lunch and were well received by the owner or manager? He opened the door for us and welcomed us in. The menu had a lot of options to choose from and maybe we just didn't pick the right items but I think the food was lack luster. The server was young and didn't seem to know about any lunch specials, which we found out about later after we'd done our Yelp check in and saw that a lunch special was the offer, so we picked items off the regular menu. I ordered the Singapore Rice noodles with yellow curry. It came with chicken, bbq pork and shrimp but I opted out since I'm allergic to shellfish. The Naruto was a big failure and the most expensive item we ordered at $15.99. We didn't even finish it. It had no sauce no rice and no flavor. Now I like sashimi no problem, but this is not what I want in a sushi roll. Not even soy sauce could save this roll. I tried some of my Hubby's orange chicken and it was a glorified chicken nugget. It had great crispiness and the flavor was good. But again, at $13.99 I'm expecting awesomeness. It didn't even come with rice! We didn't realize this was a family style restaurant so even in that my hubby was like, womp womp. Somewhat glad we had the rice noodles to get a little more sustenance but plain white rice would have been nice. All in all, I'd come back to give it another chance since people like it. Food wise the Chinese was good and a decent portion. Did not seem full of oil and the orange pieces added a ton of flavor. If your looking for sushi, I would go to a spot in Redlands. They put their whole IchiBUSSY into my meal. The spicy garlic edamame was tantalizing but didn't leave your bunghole begging for mercy. The house sauce was so tongue tingling I could've used it as a lubricant and would've felt the same joy as tasting it. The Kirin Ichiban got me blasting Mitski in the club. The server also complimented my pouring skills so give that man a raise. We came here for a going away dinner and we were excited to share a lot of dishes. They were able to fit our party of 10 with no issues. I think we tried about 25% of all the dishes on the menu and everything was great. The only comment is on the twice cooked pork belly. My mom is Chinese and I love a good Chinese meal. This place has very good Chinese food and generous portions for a fair price. Normally when I order shrimp, I get just a few. My entree contained a hearty portion of shrimp and I added extra vegetables. I have leftovers for another meal. Very pleased and will return. read more
