They broke my door panel while replacing seat belt tensioner. Besides that they could not solve SRS problem now for 2 weeks. Very unprofessional service. Will not recommend to my friends. Update: They finally resolved SRS light signal after 3rd visit. Technician guys are there complete nuts. They installed broken door panel replacement, but completely forgot to put back ALL of 3 backseat seat belt tensioners into their places. I had to open up backseat myself to pull up all sea belt tensioners back to its place. What a nuts!!! Never ever recommend their technicians to anybody. Will stay away from this place and go to other mom and pop repair shops since they care much more about their customer and are more thorough with their work. Absolutely 1 star place. read more

Where do I even begin? We were in a bind and had to get a car after ours broke down in Flagstaff. After giving them our budget, the salesman took us onto the back lot to show us a nice Honda Civic, only to stall us out for 45 minutes under the guise of "not being able to find the keys" Eventually they admitted that they couldn't even sell the car yet because they didn't have the pink slip. Whatever. We should have left at this point, but were in a bind, and they stalled us long enough to pull up a nice used low mileage car. We worked out pricing/trade value, and I thought we would be out the door within an hour and a half. Boy was I wrong. After waiting in the office for 2 hours, Heather finally found the time to talk to us, and gave us the 1.5 hour pitch on all the unneeded upgrades, wasting even more of our time, and would not take no for an answer, from either myself or my girlfriend. Once my girlfriend said no and explained why many times over, she had the nerve to ask "My I ask why?" CAUSE WE SAID SO!!! She also had a personal sob story for every one of the upgrades. I would suggest that Bell Honda should consider hiring smarter, more stable people that actually listen to their customers. After I got a bit heated, I left to cool off, and Heather brought in a male sales guy to double team my girlfriend on signing up for the upgrades. At this point, I lost it, and the sales guy had the nerve to ask "If my name is on the documents" I retorted "Is your name on the documents?" and let my girlfriend finish the deal. Heated, we left, glad it was over (or so we thought). When our car broke down, we were traveling cross country to take my girlfriend to school. The timing could not have been worse, and we explained this IN FULL DETAIL. We also told her that we would mail the pink slip back when we got to our final location. Days later, she was calling us and asking for the pink slip, and today, two weeks later, she is calling to tell us that the loan did not go through because my girlfriend is not currently employed, and we would potentially have to give the car back. We told this all to Heather, she did not listen, and thought she could bull her way through the loan and signing us up for a bunch of unneeded upgrades. It is amateur hour at Bell Honda, not sure what Heather learned at her little certification program she was bragging about, but it sure wasn't honesty or listening skills. read more

I wish the sales department and service departments could be separated for review purposes. I'd give sales a 2 star and Service a 4 star. I will begin by saying that I am very pleased with the service advisors in the service department here. Jimi and Justin are willing to explain everything and make me feel comfortable during my visit for a key replacement and window problem. Now on to the main event: Here's a quote from the Honda website: "So when you choose a Honda Certified Used Vehicle, rest easy knowing it passes more than just a 150-point inspection. It passes our strict standards as well." Just bought a Honda Certified used vehicle from Bell Honda with 67,500 miles on it. There were some problems reported by my private mechanic when I had a full inspection done after purchase. Rear brake calipers missing bolts on both sides. Brakes lift up and rub on rim when pressed. Radiator is leaking. Left drivers side axle seal leaking out of transmission. I also noticed 2 unrepaired cracks in windshield. Tires unbalanced. Front tires had low pressure. Coolant below low line. No owners manual. Only one key fob and a valet key. Missing floor mats. Cabin air filter dirty and old. Had to redo the detailing inside to get the stains off the ceiling and carpet which were overlooked as well as remove the crumbs and trash from inside the armrest. Not sure how so much was overlooked on a Certified vehicle, but it happened. So much for the 150 point inspection. I understand that a used vehicle will not be perfect, but these items should have been noticed. I am currently working with this dealer to resolve the issues. I will update this review to let you know if the repairs were satisfactory. UPDATE 9/2/2011. Window cracks repaired. Rear brake calipers repaired. Tires balanced. Was told by Robert, the transmission leak was more of a "seeping out" and not dripping, therefore "not a problem and part of buying a used vehicle", so NOT repaired. And they could not find the leak in the radiator. I inspected the radiator and found the leak within minutes. So there is a leak and they will not fix it. I will be bringing it to another Honda dealer to be repaired under the Certified warranty since Bell is obviously not concerned with repeat business. This dealer just doesn't want to spend money on a vehicle they got from an auction that had some overlooked problems. Photos of the transmission leak are attached. See for yourself. UPDATE 9/10/2011: Took the car to Tempe honda and they repaired the axle seal and installed a new radiator (under warranty). They agree both issues should have been fixed by Bell Honda. I am STILL waiting on the other key and the owners manual that Bell promised. Their service department states it takes only an hour to make the key. UPDATE 9/20/2011: I called the sales department again to ask about the missing key and Dave said to just bring it by and we will take care of it. So I'm left wondering why nobody in sales that I had dealt with perviously (Stacy, Ray, Robert) had called me to say "just stop by". I had been waiting since August 28th and called many times to find these guys were still "taking care of it" but not doing anything. UPDATE 11/14/2011: STILL waiting for the owners manual they are supposed to mail me. I keep calling and each time they say they will mail it. Have not received it after many calls and double checking of the address they are sending it to. BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU ARE BUYING A USED CAR FROM THIS DEALER, TAKE IT TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION FIRST. DO NOT ASSUME THE CAR WAS SERVICED AND PREPPED PROPERLY. In December of 2015 we purchased a vehicle from Bell Honda. We had purchased a car at this dealership before, back in 2003, and received great service so we were not surprised when Robert Patch and Omar worked together to get us a great deal on our latest purchase. We took our latest purchase up north for a brief vacation and noticed when we would apply the breaks the vehicle would shake. Red flag for us that something was wrong with the rotors and/or breaks on the car. Having owned the Certified Used Honda for less than a month we felt it was Bell Honda's responsibility to take a look at the problem without charging us for a diagnostic fee. In addition, depending on what the diagnosis would be, we felt not responsible for issues such as breaks or rotors since we had owned the vehicle for less than a month and it was a Certified Used Honda. I dropped off my car on a Monday morning and was greeted by Logan who was extremely professional and listened to my concerns. He said Bell Honda would take a look at the vehicle and call me as soon as they had a diagnosis. That afternoon Logan called me and sure enough the rotors needed to be replaced on the vehicle. I was not surprised. The part that did surprise me however was the $159 fee I was told I would be responsible for paying to replace the rotors. Needless to say I was severely disappointed. We had owned the vehicle less than a month, it was Honda Certified, and we were being held responsible for replacing the rotors when one would think that would have been inspected and insured safe during the certification process. I called my husband to explain the phone call I received from Logan (who was extremely professional and empathetic towards our situation). My husband immediately called the Service department and asked to speak to a manager. He was redirected to Robert Patch. Robert said he would access the certification paperwork to see what the rotors measured and compare them to what the technician said. After a lot of back and forth Robert finally left a message with my husband that evening, around 6:00, that indeed Bell Honda would service the vehicle and would call us the next day. While we had to do some car juggling, because we were not prepared to be without our vehicle the next day, it all worked out and we were pleased with the final outcome. In our opinion Bell Honda stepped up and truly did the right thing. When we went the next evening to pick up the vehicle, Anthony Strope, was courteous and professional. I was very impressed with the service and respectful nature of both Logan (who I had spoken with the day prior) and Anthony at the Service Department. I appreciate the service and kindness Bell Honda put forth in our unique situation. Moving forward we will continue to do business with Bell Honda. I've been looking for a Jeep for quite some time and was never in a hurry. I saw a great used Wrangler Unlimited and went in to check it out. Angel was great and the whole experience was very efficient. Brandon and Iron were also very helpful and made the process very seamless. Update: Clutch went out on my jeep at the 14 week mark from purchase. I was talked into an extended warranty through MPP which did not cover the clutch. I called Bell to see if this would be covered under the 3 month from purchase warranty, but was told we were past the time frame and there was nothing they could do. I'm very disappointed as I have had the vehicle in for service twice in the past 9 days for a total of $2100 two weeks after my three month warranty ended. read more

Our experience would be a 5 except on the back end with finance. Watch out for the terms on the extended warranty. Honda gives a 3 year 35k coverage, while this dealership charges $2,500+ for 60,000 and though the contract states can cancel at any time states until the second payment where they get the credit for the contract you can't cancel. Our salesperson Tracy is incredible from telling the truth, to literally detailing the car himself, to explaining all the features of our new CRV. Hopefully when it comes to service we will have a better experience. read more

This is for the Bell Honda Service Department. I took my car in on 2/24 when the check engine light came on. The first thing I asked them was "Do you have time to look at this today?" They assured me that they did. I dropped my car off around 11:30 a.m.. I finally called them at 4:30 and the person that answered the phone said that my representative was not available and he would leave them a message. Right after that I received an automated text with the list of repairs. I tried to call the service department and got an answering service only. I replied to the text and approved the repair that was causing the check engine light. Still never received a call back from the representative. Finally received a call at 6:20 p.m. to let me know that they needed to keep my car overnight to make the repair the next day and should be done by 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.. I arrived the next day a little before 9:00 a.m. and waited until 10:00 a.m. and still no call or text to say anything about the status of my car. I finally asked what the status is of my car and the person that I spoke with said "Oh, your car is already done". Poor Poor communication and poor poor customer service. My Service Rep was Andrew. I would have been fine with some communication. I will never go back to Bell Honda to purchase or service my car. read more

I got my car washed for free earlier in the day. The wash took about 15 minutes. While I was waiting, I was looking at the cars in the showroom. I ended up seeing Robert Garcia, the guy who sold the car to me. He remembered what model, year, exterior, and interior I had. He asked me how everything was going with the car and all. That was pretty nice of him. Most salesmen forget who their clients are but not Robert. I highly recommend purchasing your car from him. He's fair and treats his clients like family. Got my very first service for my car today. All I needed was an oil & filter change and a tire rotation. Bryan Stevens was my service representative and he was the best. We got a $30 coupon for an oil change, but Bryan told us that since we bought the car from Bell Honda, it was $5. He was really honest & polite. As we were setting up the appointment for my windshield to get replaced, the car was finished. My car was washed and ready in less than 30 minutes. Reminder: this was a Saturday morning. My experience here with Bell Honda has been disappointing for the last two years that I've been coming here. Everytime I come here to get my service done, its always a hassle to get my car done right. For example. I took my car here on Tuesday 2/12/19 for an alignment, new tires, new wiper blades, and a brake fluid flush. I also made a complaint that my car has been making a weird noise while turning the wheels left and right and shifting into first gear. I was then quoted a set price for 11 hundred dollars for all the services done. My advisor told me that it would take awhile so he offered me a ride back home for their courtesy ride. At about noon, i get a phone call that my car needed a new power steering rack and that Honda now wanted to keep my car overnight to fix it. So i agreed and on top of that another 5 hundred dollars was added to my total bill. The one thing that gets me the most here is the timing. My advisor had said that the truck delivery will be in at 9am on 2/13/19Wednesday and that the vehicle would be done by noon. To me everything is timing since i am a very busy person. I expected my car to be done when i got there at 1 pm as promised by Steve. But no, Steve said that the power steering rack arrived at 1 the same time i arrived there. No way to get back home and no ride, i was forced to wait 5 hours there waiting around in the waiting room. On top of that my advisor left early saying that he needed to catch a flight to vegas. GREAT! So he passed his work to another Advisor named Q. 6PM hits my car was now ready and i was ready to go home. The following day 2/14/19 Thursday, i was inspecting the car. My back right tire was missing the middle cover for the wheel and had noticed that the wiper blades werent replaced properly. Now again, i was beyond frustrated because it was raining and me driving to work with a bad wiper streak was just making it worse. So for the third time i went back to Bell Honda and had explained to Q that some parts werent done to my car. Now at this point i felt cheated and robbed. But surely enough, Q was very helpful and had taken it without no questions asked and took care of the situation. I should of just gone to Q in the beginning. But this experience right here makes you wonder what they be doing with the services and parts you pay for. Scary... all i can say. read more

My 4 stars go for Bell Honda's service department. I have bought vehicles from Bell Honda and to say the least, have not had the best experiences with their sales departments. I do not shop for cars at Bell Honda any longer. Although their management was very quick to respond to the two incidents I had and they were very apologetic. I have a lot of respect for the management and they are great people, but I simply will not buy a car here anymore. That is not to say that everyone else will have bad experiences. I have other friends that buy cars here and they love it. Their service on the other hand, is top-notch. I have had service where I now buy my cars and let me tell you, it is not the same. Bell Honda goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service and that is a good thing to have in your service department. I will never go anywhere else for service. I regularly get my oil changes and tire rotations here. They include a multi-point inspection which is very helpful when it comes to knowing when future repairs or services might be needed. Their service staff are knowledgeable, caring, courteous and friendly. I am always offered a shuttle home in case I do not want to wait and they offer to pick me back up. The waiting area is clean, quiet, and they have free popcorn, donuts, and water and coffee. Thank you Bell Honda Service for always taking care of me. read more

I went to the service center at Bell Honda because my 2019 Honda was recalled. After waiting 3 1/2 hours I went and asked to speak to the manager. Instead, I was referred back to my service center rep. I told him I had been waiting a long time and wanted to get my car. He said I told you it would take 3 to 4 hours. I told him I didn't think he did because if he had I wouldn't have waited. He said the mechanic was just finishing up. After waiting another 1 1/2 hours the car was finally done. When I signed the paper work I told him that this is why I don't come here for service then I walked out of his office. He followed me to my car and, in a raised voice he said "This is a business and you need to learn how to act. " I admit I called him an A** Hole. He continued to follow me and said "You don't make the rules here you need to learn how to act." He then said "Git out of here." By that time I was in my car and I said Gladly. Honda has a lot of nerve using the word "Service" in their repair center. He was right in that yes it is a business and I am not the one who needs to learn how to act. He was after all a Service Rep. He never apologized nor showed any empathy for the fact that I had waited 5 hours. He spent a lot of time telling me how I was wrong. The fact that he followed me my car to continue telling me that I was wrong was threatening and unnecessary. I can't believe that this is the kind of people you hire as Service Reps. read more

The first time I was here was back in 2013 when I decided to lease a 2013 Honda Civic SI. Three years later my term was up and I needed to decide if I wanted to keep it or buy a new one. Maggie reached out to me and her very pleasant manner made the 30mile drive from surprise, seem like it would be worth the trip again to consider my options with her. She was great as she seemed genuinely caring. The process was long but I was happy with the end result to keep my SI. Since it was late by then that night they asked me to come back a different day to have them detail it like the dealers usually do when people turn in leased cars to them. Which by the way was not free but included in the price I was obligated to pay to have it be "certified pre owned". I made the drive back 2 days later and meet with Heather who was supposed to facilitate and expedite the process, since I had already spent so many hours 2 days earlier. However, she seemed uninterested. She got the process started and I waited. When I got my car back it looked worse than what my local car wash guys do. When you can see water spots on a white car, the trunk isn't even vacuumed out or the tires shined?!...I had to ask if I had driven all this way for a car wash or a detail? When I brought this to her attention she seemed more annoyed than concerned... when everything I was pointing out was obvious! They offered to do it over which then took over another hour. I simply won't be back. I drove past 2 Honda dealerships to get to Bell Honda because of Maggie but I won't return based on my overall experience. Of course they didn't care. The deal was signed and they had their money and they tell you what you want to hear to accomplish that... Typical. In total I've spent 11 hours at bell Honda... What a wast of time. read more

Went to this dealer last weekend to test drive a Honda Clarity which is a plug-in Hybrid vehicle. Basically you plug it in to charge it and it drives about 45 miles before switching to gas. Turns out Bell Honda doesn't plug their cars in, so on arrival, the car has 0% charge and would only drive using the gas motor. The entire point of the Clarity is to drive it primarly on electic power to save on gas, so obviously when you test drive it, you want to see how it drives in EV mode. This dealership doesn't even own a level 2 charger which costs under $1000 to have installed. read more

I purchased a new 2017 Honda Accord this weekend and was very pleased with the service I received from Jason Teel. He was very nice and really (I mean REALLY) patient with me as I tried to decide which vehicle I wanted. He was very knowledgeable with regards to the different features on the different models. Ian Gastelum in financing was very sweet as well and although his job is to up sell me on additional services, he did so in a very non aggressive manner which made purchasing the additional warranties and insurance much easier. This is my third Honda purchase overall and my second with Bell Honda and I will definitely buy from them again. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone who is looking for a new car. I forgot to add that my 2009 was getting some maintenance to it while I was shopping for a new car and the service department at Bell Honda is seriously the best. I have worked mostly with Joshua, George and Steven and all three of them are so nice and helpful and overall just do the best job ever! Last year I had some warranty issues and Joshua went out of his way to help me get it resolved, he is seriously one of the nicest people. read more

Worst Sales Scheme EVER - Bait and SWITCH HONDA shows their gratitude to CUSTOMERS by repeatedly lying, calling so many times it borders on harassment, wasting 5- 6 hours of your time over 2 days, and unnecessarily running their customers credit. March 2017 - leased a beautiful 2017 Honda Civic Touring. The car is in perfect condition. I lease through Honda - and make all payments automatically & on time. I also take the car to Honda for all services. Two weeks ago - I started receiving calls from Honda in total I received 7-8 phone calls. 3 Voice mails and spoke to 5 sales people on the phone. Each sales person told me this: We reviewed your account and you are paying WAY too much on your lease, but now that you have kept it for 12 months making all payments on time HONDA has a LOYALTY deal we can give you. Long story short they ALL tell me I can get a new car (2018 Civic Touring) for a lower payment, or a new (Accord, CRV or Pilot) for the SAME payment I have now. I was skeptical, but after hearing it from so many people I started to consider it. I asked if there were any penalties or anything I would pay out of pocket for doing this. I was told NO that I would not PAY any money out of pocket, and that HONDA did not care about any wear and tear or how many miles that car has that I would be bringing back. 3/27 I get 2 more calls, I agree to come to the dealership to meet with Axel. I get there and find Jacob who greets me at my car. I ask for Axel, he tells me Axel isn't working today. I explain I JUST spoke to him and confirmed I was on my way. He then says, oh maybe he is on his way let me go find out. He comes back out says Axel is on his way. I walk around look at a couple of cards...and another "sales manager" comes out introduces his self and say sorry for the confusion, but that Axel isn't coming in, he promises that Jacob will take care of me. Jacob takes me on a test drive of a 2018 Honda Accord Touring. I tell him this is the car I want, and explain what each of the previously sales people had told me. He tells me he will work with his manager. I explain that I need to leave because I had an appointment but that he can call or text me once he has the numbers. He text me later in the day and says "Frank the desk manager said he can work you a deal on the Accord to be right around the same payment you have now" I confirm with him what my current payment is, he says yes they are very close to that payment. He asked me for the last 4 digits of my SSN so they can access my lease info to verify I've made all my payments on time. I give it to him. I get a text from him the next day saying: "just got word we are super close on your lease deal with $0 down..." he says he needs me to bring my car in to get appraised. I call him to confirm what "super close" means, he tells me that they are $20- $30 over what I am paying now, but he expects they can get it down once they factor the equity of my 2017 Civic. I agree to come in the next day. I end up getting ANOTHER call later that evening. I go in to the dealer to get my car appraised, I don't get Jacob because he is busy with another customer. But they take my car to start the appraisal. WHILE I'm sitting in their lobby I get ANOTHER CALL, telling me the same thing. I explain IM IN THE LOBBY, the guy laughs and says sorry. After they appraise my car they change what they had previously called "equity" to NEGATIVE Equity and explain how returning this lease to lease the Accord would cost me $300 more per month. I say NO. Then the guy asked me why I want to get a new car, I say I didn't I only came in because so many people had called saying I could actually save money with a lesser lease payment. So he tells me I could KEEP my car and just buy it out. Since I have made all payments on time to Honda, Honda will finance me with a great rate and I would have a lower payment to just own the car, BUT that he has to run my credit to do that. I go back and forth with him and finally agree to allow him to run it. He comes back to me with a payment that is $100 MORE than what I am paying now and on a 72-month loan. Now I have wasted copious amounts of time on the phone with sales people, spent HOURS at a dealership on two different days, and had my credit ran which impacts your script score all for NOTHING. GREAT WAY TO SHOW YOUR CUSTOMER APPRECIATION HONDA!!!! EPIC FAIL! When this lease is up I will turn this car in and buy a Nissan or a Toyota! read more

The initial process of purchasing the car was fine although they did make a lot of small promises they never kept like additional car washes and gas gift cards. However, after you purchase the car, they literally call you non-stop afterward trying to up sell you. This week alone, we received 6 phone calls and two text messages and I had already spoken to a sales person last week that I wasn't interested in buying a new car. They've done this multiple times. I just wanted to express my frustration at this company that its salespeople cannot take a hint. I was searching several sites for a car when I gave my information to this company and to other companies. You would think after 4 months of not getting a phone call back from me, that they might stop calling. But what's even worse, is that lately they've started calling again but not even bothering to speak just let the line hang out for 5 minutes and hear the background noises of the sales floor. I answered the phone tonight and just said "Please stop calling me" and hung up. I also blocked them on Verizon, which I think is the second time I've blocked them. This is bordering on stalker behavior and frankly, bad behavior from salespeople at dealerships is why I really don't like dealing with them. Just FYI guys, I bought a car. And I didn't feel the need to tell you. It seems like you should let people go when they don't want to talk to you after the first 5 weeks or so. read more

If I could put zero stars I would I came in on July 2nd because my bf and I were looking at a certain car that was gonna be put in the shop so we couldn't test drive it but the sales person insisted to go through the process to purchase it and we put some money down the sales person then said we had gotten approved and sent us to the back waiting room to close the deal we were waiting about 20 min and they come back and tell us since we can't take the car till Tuesday July 5th to come back and sign the papers then so we were kind of confused so we ended up leaving and Tuesday rolls around and no one called me or my bf we called the dealership and they just told us the car didn't get approved and they were saying how they've been calling but are phones had no missed calls then they start trying to push cars we didn't want on us we just wanted the down payment back so my bf calls letting them know I'm coming in to pick the money up that we paid cash I come in for it on July 7th they say that the money can't be returned cash only in check because the money got sent to the bank apparently. Then they proceed to say that we can only get it in check so I'm like fine and then they say the fund lady isn't here and that if I come again tomorrow July 8th it'll be ready by the time I get here so I'm like you guys better have it ready because I keep wasting my gas and time so I get here early July 8th then they ask me how I paid and how we might not be able to get the check till Monday July 11th because the one that signs them isn't here this dealership is a joke. read more

Had a great experience with Dave Cook test driving cars and helping us get to where we needed to be with our payments. Very outgoing and fun to deal with. Also Iron Gastelum was fantastic with getting all of our paperwork taken care of and getting us a great deal. Another great guy that was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Our salesperson was AWESOME! BUT if you live out of state I advise you to not buy a car from here or let me specify if you are from GA. We have been getting the run around for over 3 weeks, still no tag and can't drive the car bc the temp tag expired. Ga requires the dealership to send documents directly to the tax accessors office, they will not take your copies of anything. Well noone at Bell Honda or Honda Finance seems to know what to do. It's just a mess, I have never had this issue with any other dealership whether in Ga or out of state but noone seems to know how to ensure he gets a tag but yea they''ll be pressed about receiving a payment for a vehicle my son can't even drive. I rencently went into this Honda dealership because I had seen an add online for a 2009 Civic that they were advertising for $12,450. The car had 39k miles on it and I thought OMG STEAL~ I immediately went in to see if I could purchase the car. I had seen the car on Edmunds and on their website for the past week or so and because the deal seemed almost too good to be true, I wondered if anything was wrong with the car. When I got there, I was greated by Preston. Sandy blonde hair, mega green eyes ~ very nice to look at. I think the dealership hires eye-candy on purpose. Preston went off to see if they had the car in stock since they couldnt pull it up in their inventory. Immediately I knew something was wrong. Why would they not have it in their inventory? Pleasseee don't tell me it sold. Well, it wasnt sold. Preston came back informing me that the 2009 Civic was a trade in that they had made. Except, something was wrong with the credit of the person who traded in their car. So they were going to do a switch where they give the person back their old 2009 Civic and they get their new car back. Wtf, who does that?? He told me that their online advertising guy can sometimes be a little bit too excited about cars that are traded in and put them up early. Something about that entire senario sounded really sketch to me. My mom said later that it sounded like a bait and switch to get people to come into the dealership. They probably didnt even have the car. Jerks. After reading other reviews, I have learned that Bell Honda tends to use this classic BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. Beware! Anyways, Preston escorted me around the lot and managed to get me to test drive a new 2012 Civic LX. (I had previously owned a 2012 Civic EX but It was totaled, so I was already framiliar with the car.) Preston told me they could probably get me into this car with a low lease payment because it was their end of summer deal and they were trying to get rid of the 2012's before the 2013's come in. I told him that I would need a co-signer because I didnt have a job. I'm a full time student at Cal State Northridge. He told me that because I had already owned and paid off 2 Hondas which made me a Perfered Honda Customer. My credit isnt bad either, which means that I wouldnt need my mom as a co signer. Finance Guy #1 told me that Bell Honda looked only at credit when it came to purchasing a car, not income. (Although he did ask me about previous jobs and muttered something about putting my last job on the paperwork. LIARS!! They were going to lie and say I had a job when I really didnt!) EDIT: After doing some research about what could happen if a dealership does this, I found out the consequences are beyond horrible. First, you would be liable for fraud and there would be a heafty fine. Second, the bank might try to repo the car because you cant afford it. Never ever lie on an application!! Bell Honda might try to get you to do this, but it would end very badly for you!!! When It came down to number crunching, I told them that I was currently tight on money and didnt have any money to put down on the car. I wanted a payment somewhere around $200. ~ At least for a lease. Finally, after lots of bickering, Finance Guy #1 agreed that $200 a month with no money down and with payments deffered for 3 months - so I could get a job back in Northridge- is something he would see if he could do. He left to check with the big boss to see if my credit would be approved and to see if they would accept that deal. Preston sat there with me and assured me that they could work miracles. Sure enough, Finance Guy #1 came back booming that my credit had been approved and "Oh yeah, we could do this deal! This is so easy! Very easy deal!" I was SHOCKED. I told them I had to go home and talk it over with my mom since something about it still didnt see right. (I had this feeling in my gut that was telling me somethign was still wrong.) When my mom and I came back the next day to meet with Preston, I took the car for another test drive and we sat down to look over the terms of the deal. Now, we got a different finance guy this time. His name was Brandon. Brandon basically told us that the deal we had made yesterday never happened. "Oh no! We would have never offerered something like that! Thats an outrageous deal!' I got really mad and starred daggars at Preston because he was standing right there when Finance Guy #1 promised me this deal. But he just starred at the floor. Brandon kept pushing for $2000 down and wanted to know the terms of my last 2012 lease. The more he pressed the more pissed my mom and I became. Finally, we just left. Bell Honda- the automotive land of liars and con-artists. Stear clear of this dealership if your seriously looking to buy a car. They will rip you off and lie to you. AVOID AVOID AVOID! But other than that, if your hungry and in need of an eye-candy buffett- by all means go get some! read more

Run don't walk away if purchasing a car here! Not enough room to tell you everything. Rude, condescending and disrespectful! And lies!!! Asking a customer purchasing a car to resign a contract over 2 weeks later. Being told resign for the new numbers or "I'm just going to slam it down to my captive". Which means they will just send to Honda Finance. Why didn't you send it to them the day after it was signed?? Resign $11,000 less than the first so you guys are just giving away $11,000??? If you could have sent it to them you would have already. Waiting for refund of $13,000 that was the down payment. I'm posting pics of the original contract and the proposed new numbers. By the way the MSRP was only $48,000. And they wanted to charge $3840 for an extended service contract that was only 72 months and 60,000 miles. So almost $4000 for 24,000 miles of mechanical coverage since the vehicle comes with 3 years and 36,000 of coverage from the manufacturer. read more

Please be very wary of the finance people at this dealership. I got overcharged almost $2500 for a service agreement and gap coverage that I didn't want AND SIGNED PAPERWORK TO DECLINE. My problem is that I trusted them when the finance manager said he would take care of it. I realize it's my fault for trusting him and for not following up sooner. The most I can do now is post reviews warning people to be careful and not trust them because if they overcharged me you can be sure they overcharge other people as well. August 30, 2019 - took in vehicle because A/C was out September 6, 2019 - car was returned with the compressor, clutch set, and coil set replaced September 16, 2019 - car was taken in again for the A/C not working again September 24, 2019 - car was returned with a replaced compressor, hose, clutch set, and coil set November 30, 2019 - car was taken in again for similar A/C issues December 10, 2019 - car was returned with a new condenser, compressor, clutch set, coil set; at this time we spoke to the Service Manager, who told us that there were no problems with the A/C systems in the Honda Civics (which a Honda America case manager informed me that he should have known there were) and that our A/C was completely fixed and they had the best guy working on it December 10, 2019 - after picking up the car I drove it down the street when I noticed an audible rattling sound when the A/C was turned on and returned the vehicle immediately December 11, 2019 - the car was returned with replacement of a bracket December 12, 2019 - In the morning we noticed a neon green oil leaking from the compressor. I called Bell Honda's Customer Service Manager, where I told her of the new possible leak and that we would like out of the vehicle and we wanted to come down to work something out. We were told that Bell would be happy to work with us to make it right. We head down to Bell Honda to look at a different vehicle, we were told that we would be working with Heather but instead we had JJ and the Sales Manager, Brandon Latour, working with us. Instead of trying to make our situation right we were instead offered to buy a brand-new car with no deal. They offered us Kelly blue book for our trade-in vehicle, but the price of the vehicle we were interested in (stock number was checked) was listed lower on their website than the price that they offered us. We were told that the General Manager was involved and that was the best deal that they could give us. We walked out, feeling insulted. December 13, 2019 - took the car to Showcase Honda where they confirmed that a hose was leaking refrigerant and replaced it the same day Ultimately, Showcase was able to fix the problem and gave us a better deal on a 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback than Bell was willing to offer on a 2019 Civic Sedan LX.
