I know good and bad customer service. People are more likely to take the time to write a formal complaint instead of taking the time to write a formal compliment. Over priced truck I was interested in was told a price verbally 3500k less than asking. To get me in the door. (Sticker was over KBB) Then came back with full sticker price on the paperwork. If you want a stereotypical used car buying experience goto troy and Shane and they will hook you up. Lol Be prepared for an aggressive, cutthroat experience. They did more than I could've expected of any business. After looking at the reviews I was very hesitant to go but my mother insisted I take her car in to Bell. They accommodated me allowing me many favors I couldn't imagine any other business giving me honoring contracts despite my ineligibility due to time past and gave me complementary coverage on parts and maintenance beyond what I asked for. If I could give negative stars I would. First off, we have a 2017 Honda CRV EXL 1.5 turbo. Our car broke down June 2nd. Had the car towed to Bell Honda which was the closest dealership. Horrible customer service. My husband wanted to know what his next steps were on how we could get the car fixed. One of the sales person looked at him and said well if that one broke down do you want to buy a new one? Really who does that. Then he spoke with the sales manager who couldn't do anything and told my husband to Uber it home. Thanks Cable that was nice of you to say. We went in the next day spoke with the service department because no one told us that there was a drop box out front where the service department was, go figure. Q was really an awesome guy very helpful and he was able to resolve our issue with our car. Luckily it was just the battery. Spoke with the GM and address our concerns. He gave us a free oil change. Great, wonderful. On 6/19/19 my husband took the car in for the oil change, plus transmission fluid flush and brake fluid flush. Which was needed. My husband brought the car back to me, since I was a work and this is our only vehicle. I proceeded to drive the car and noticed a funny smell, like fumes, gas, something unpleasant. Today 6/24/19 we noticed that the check oil level light kept going on and off on the car. My husband took it to the dealership and it smelled bad. Wouldn't you know they forgot to put the oils cap back on. Like who the heck does that??????? Who forgets to put the oils cap back on????? My engine could have seized. After talking to my father who used to work on cars he said that there might be other issues with it now because for the fact that my oil level was low and spitting everywhere. I'm beside myself. I will be calling Honda Manufacturer to file a complaint along with the regional manager. This is unacceptable. What happens if my engine stops working because of their negligence? Bell Honda - Really where's the oil cap - Car Dealers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Literally every experience I've had at this location is terrible. Most recently I brought my car in because the check engine light came on. I took it to Autozone first and they were able to tell me in 2 minutes what the engine light code was showing. Followed up with an appointment at this dealership waited an hour and forty minutes before I got up and asked for an update. After an hour and forty minutes they told me the same exact thing that Autozone told me. I asked them why it took that long to do exactly what was done in 2 minutes and they couldn't give me an answer. This is an example of every experience I've had here and I will not be coming back. The staff is rude, the wait is ridiculous for absolutely no reason, they over charge and its just overall a terrible experience and environment. read more

I have been to the Bell Collision centre on 04/11/2017 to get the front bumper of my car fixed, They gave me an estimate and took the car in for getting it done and the next day(04/11/2017) they brought the car back to my house saying that they could not fix it as they are very busy and have no time to do my car. Is this the kind of professionalism Bell Honda presents. And the person who brought the car just says "I am sorry" and jumped into the car which came to pick him up. Bought a new car in early February of 2020. Was promised free car washes for the life of the car. As of July 2022 they have refused to give me any free car washes in 16 months. They tell me that the car wash is closed due to the thousands of deaths from the virus. Phoenix has opened up almost every business in the city. To start with the annoyingly pushy and untrustworthy salesman who read the information about every car right off its sticker tag and tell you all about as if they reviewed and studied the information themselves. Second if you have a lot of time throughout the year to keep taking your car in for recalls and random maintenance you definitely don't need, then your in luck. Because bell Honda and the Honda brand will waste large amounts of your time and money recalling your car at least 8-10 times a year. Don't believe me ask anyone else whose had the unfortunate experience of buying from this brand. The vehicle selection is disappointing the salesman are not only pushy but extremely aggressive with you telling you YOU don't know anything and that your making a mistake not buying their overpriced recall vehicle. It's been 2 years since Bell Honda unethically and probably illegally took out a loan in my name for a car we ended up not purchasing from them. They continue to call me on a near daily basis, asking to talk to me about "my Toyota 4Runner," in what I assume is an attempt to lure me in to trade it in on a different car. Again, this vehicle was not purchased by me and they took out a loan for it, even though I voided our conditional contract (in writing) before leaving the premises. I've spoken to people there numerous times asking them to stop calling me and take me off their call list, but either they're too stupid or too lazy or just don't care. I was just there 4-12-19 to help my Mom pick up her vehicle from the service center, her service advisor is your typical salesman in disguise. Brenden Dearie was not at all transparent and due to the fact he roped my Mom into stuff she had no idea about, I had to get involved and explain to him that the price quoted was not anywhere near the price he presented to us. After repeated suggestions to get the service manager involved he kept deflecting saying he was already giving her a great deal. Of course I had to pay due to the work already being completed. My husband and I purchased a car from Bell Honda a few months back. We had come in with an approval letter for $20k from a credit union, bought a car for $24k and put down alittle under $5k as a down payment. Our credit union then called us and said we can't get the loan unless we used the full $20k which is fine, we just needed the dealer to refund enough down payment to make it to where we used the whole credit union loan. Before we could even call Bell Honda to settle the situation and be partially refunded, they, Bell Honda, ran our credit through Chase and then offered us a loan through Chase instead. We ultimately still went with our credit union loan but now I have ANOTHER hard inquiry on my credit from a loan application I didn't consent to. We had a loan walking in to Bell Honda and did not consent to have the dealership apply to another loan on our behalf. The fact that action was taken without speaking to us first, and with non-consent, is so incredibly unprofessional. Worked with the nicest sales man who was kind and helpful. My husband was taking pictures of the car we were potentially going to buy and sending them to his dad in Iowa. They wasted my time and after calling to ask what's happening, they responded with, "Oh, so are you looking to come into the dealership?" No! Had an appointment scheduled to look at two different trucks once arrived I was told they were locked in service and they were unavailable to be looked at. Left work early to come back the next day to take a look at them and one was in poor condition and the other truck had sold the day I went in to look at it. I must say that this was by far the BEST car buying experience my husband and I have had. We had the luxury of being helped by multiple team members including the manager and each person took the time to listen to and truly get an understanding of our wants and needs. I must say that the icing on the cake for the entire process came from an amazing women named Feven. She took us from coming in to trade a car for a pre-owned car to buying a NEW 2021 that meets all aspects of what we were looking for in a family vehicle. She. made in make since in how we were going about spending our money and what would benefit us in the long run. We definitely didn't need to have the newest car but when you put the numbers together the way that she laid it out for us it was by far the better offer. She seriously knew her numbers and also was very educated about the vehicles and different models. We had our 1 and 4 year old with us and she was also very patient and considerate of tired little ones in the buying process. She didn't rush us or try and force us to close on a deal. It was literally like having a friend take you car shopping who only wanted you to get the best for your money. And again the rest of the team was absolutely awesome I had a gentlemen walk me vehicle to vehicle to see if I liked anything. The manager came and dropped tons of knowledge on me and my husband about buying a car that fits our needs. And it was definitely a learning experience not a "sales trap". I worked as a GM for a gym so I know what that sounds and looks like. Again everyone was really generous and helpful. And our finance guy was absolutely awesome, he helped us sign everything off. We were there late but he still treated us like it was the start of the day. You're probably not going to like this place if you hate being upsold or talked down to. I've given this place two visits now and each time have left feeling robbed. I called this most recent time for a standard oil change (usually $50 with an inspection, of which I have received three times before), instead am told it's $80 (luckily I told them I don't want my tires balanced which saved me $15). When I called to make an appointment, I specifically requested an oil change, no more, no less. But upon arriving, I was put in the awkward situation of having to say no and was basically guilt-ed into more than I asked for. Their technicians are sexist and assume the worst. Just because I'm a woman does not mean that I don't know what a timing belt is, and yet when asked if I know what it is (I replied yes since I've replaced my own but no longer have the time or space to do so), the technician still talked down on me in his explanation ("it's like a giant rubber band"). This is not the first time something like this has happened as my previous technician talked down on me in a similar way. The only upside to this place is the 3 mile drive to work, however they take so long that the convenience is wiped out since I never can drop my car off before my entire lunch is used up. OHHH and they forgot to pick me up for over half an hour, I just stood on the dang corner waiting for them and then finally received a call half an hour later asking if I was still in need of a ride! If I need to take an Uber that's fine but don't make me waste even more time waiting for you. The young man who picked me up (Que ?) was the only thing pleasant in this place, he needs to become the boss. Sexist, money hungry, skeezy. Spend your money and time elsewhere. read more

I have purchased two cars at Bell Honda, and I have taken both cars there for service. Until now, I was reasonably satisfied, although s they always find some way to make the bill slightly larger. Now, I take my car in for a coupon they sent me for an oil change. OK, I say I will take my car in. I get a call from a different service advisor than the last time, and he is trying to get me to spend $1,500 on belts, tuneup, changing all the fluids because they were dirty or so they said. The guy saids will you have 76,380 miles on your car...I said I do not..do you have the right car?He said he checked and yes it was my car..I had to readjust the mileage because they had it set on trip meter. My actual mileage is 47,746. This was all based on old mileage from the first car I bought there. The service advisor said he looked..what a lie....what if I had actually bought the $1,500 based on incorrect mileage in the system. My question is do they even look at he cars before they try to sell you things you do not even need? I will never go there again, and I had to physically drive down there and show the service manager. He just made excuses for them, saying well, maybe they were thinking about your 60,000 mile checkup. What a sham....they had not remorse about the pain they had caused me by trying to have faith and do business with them.. Never never again will I buy a car or have anything serviced at Bell Honda. I actually could not believe they were not willing to admit their mistake, and the treated me so poorly...Do not go there ever. read more

Too bad Yelp doesn't have an option for zero stars. I came here to buy a Honda Civic back in October 2016. Long story short: I left degraded, with no car, and continued to be harassed for weeks after my initial visit. When I arrived, I was shown around by a middle aged man who clearly did not want to be there (or maybe he did not want to deal with me). Hey, I get it, I looked like a teenager (blame that youthful face) who came with her parents and asked to see the 2017 Honda Civic models. He thought he wasn't making a sale today...which is why he continued to disrespect my parents and me while we sat down to discuss car estimates. I was SO eager to get my new car that I looked past his rudeness and continued with the process. But my dad kept pointing out that he did not like the way this salesman was "working me". His eyes lit up when I mentioned that I have 10k I can put down on the car right now, and he called his manager in right away. From then on, the entire thing seemed rushed. I hardly had time to really check out the car and none of my questions were answered. Here comes the real doozy: When my credit score was run by the sales manager, he came back with the report. Instead of showing me my score (which I already knew because I check credit karma ALL THE TIME), he STRAIGHT UP LIED TO MY FACE and told me my score was in the low 600's. When it is actually and still to this day in the 750-770 range. So this excuse for a manager proceeded to let me know that with the car I want and my credit score, the best they could do was 13% APR. When I called him out, he finally showed me the paper and admitted he must have "misread my credit score". I'm sure. I no longer wanted their car nor do to have any further business with them. I left immediately with my family and the manager along with the sales associate called me 5-7 times a day for three weeks, decreased the APR over voicemail with each passing week. I tried to block their numbers but they seemed to find new ways to reach me. Too bad I had already bought a Toyota Camry 2017 at Avondale Toyota the very next day for 0% APR. No BS, just a good and honest sale. You couldn't make me ever go back to Bell Honda. I don't respect liars and cheats. read more

We went in Sunday evening test drove the car and was about to finish paper work to purchase the car then my spouse and I decided to wait just to make sure it was the right car. Well I spoke with axel this evening and mentioned a certain price range I was comfortable with threw text message , and he accidentally hit the voice record button message on his phone while Speaking with someone and was saying how I was stupid and he wasn't going to help me to get to my comfortable range of a car payment because then he wouldn't get his cut. Most people don't like car dealerships and their service centers but there's always an exception. Today I have to give a S/O to Bell Honda. Not too often I praise a dealership but really deserve this one. I actually bought a car for my son last Memorial Day. I talked with Robert Garcia over email and phone trying to get the car I wanted. Also, got a deal using True Car. Guaranteed price. Woo hoo. Since, I couldn't come in til Monday Robert hide my car (black on black) until I could get in. Very easy when I came in on Monday to purchase. Just had to wait a long time for the Finance guys to write me up. While we were waiting, Robert even went outside to help get my car ready so I didn't have to wait too long. S/O to Robert. Fast forward to today. We were getting our first oil change. Robert recommended the service advisor Bryan Stevens. We made an appointment for mid-early Saturday. Met Bryan and we needed an oil change and tire rotate. Had a coupon for oil change for $33 but Bryan informed us since we bought the car here that the first oil change is $5. Woo hoo. Have to give S/O to Bryan cause he could have just taken the coupon and not told us about the first oil change. Can you say integrity. Thank you. In the meantime, Bryan noticed we had a chip on our windshield and that Bell Honda could take care of. It would be free cause of my insurance. So Bryan told us it would take an hour and 10 minutes for oil change, tire rotate, and wash. So while we were waiting we got together with the window replacement guy. Within a half hour Bryan comes to us and says the car is done and washed. What? Less than an hour. 30 minutes. Unheard of. Anyways got out of there in under thirty minutes with a oil change, tire rotate, wash, and an mobile windshield replacement for $17. Woo hoo. Unbelievable. So S/O to my salesman Robert Garcia and my service advisor Bryan Stevens. Again I have no problem using either one of these guys for a new car or service. I will be back and recommend you use Robert for a new car and Bryan for service. They are the best. Bell Honda you should give them a raise or something cause this is what you call great service and integrity. read more

This review is based strictly on the sales side as I have no experience with the service department. Made the inquiry to get a deal formed for my mother on a brand new CR-V. Called their "Internet Department." to make things simple. The "Internet Department" at ANY other auto dealer is a very simple and clean process to purchase a car....definitely NOT the case with Bell Honda. They had one 2012 left with the options my mother wanted and so I called. Their "Internet Price" on the car was stated on their website and it was about what we actually wanted to pay. Their website has a link to "get your best internet price" and so I clicked it. They called me and told me they wouldn't give a price over the phone. WTF?!?!? That's the fucking PURPOSE of the goddamn Internet Department! They also had a HUGE banner ad on their website claiming that "This weekend they will give you $1,500 over fair-trade-in value for your trade-in." and the salesman on the phone acted all eager to get my mom's BWM in their inventory for their "big parking lot sale" they were supposedly having the following weekend... So, I fall for their rouse and head down there with my mother. They bring out the CR-V and we go for a test drive; Mom's loves it. The Internet Price they had listed was less than MSRP and about what we figured we would end up paying. However, I notice (but don't say anything) that this vehicle, which matched the stock number of the internet ad, has over $5k in options......hmm......red flag...... So....she has a trade-in.....a 2006 Perfectly Clean BMW 325i with 69,000 miles that she has had since new. They come out with their awesome "Let's Make A Deal" game of paper and markers that low-class dealers play and I am starting to get upset as I went through the internet department so my mom wouldn't have to deal with all of the normal BS that non-luxury auto dealers tend to play.... Fair trade-in value on my mom's BMW was $10,200, by the way. They wrote down a price for the CR-V that was FOUR-THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE THAN THE FUCKING INTERNET PRICE and.....are you ready for this....??? $8100 trade-in for my mom's BMW..... Uh.....WTF happened to the $1,500 over fair trade-in value you suckered me into believing over the phone so that I would come down to your dealership??? I look at them and I tell them, "NO." That isn't going to work. They tell me that their website clearly states that the advertised Internet Price is JUST FOR THE CAR--not any of the ridiculous options they tack on to make more money.....ABSOLUTE LIE!!! I check their website on my phone....guess what....there is nothing in the fine print about that. I am very agitated at this point and mention the $1,500 over trade-in deal they are offering....the salesman tells me that the fine print tells me that it says 'Minus any costs for excess mileage and reconditioning costs." ANd it DID say that......BUT MY MOM'S CAR HAD LESS THAN AVERAGE MILES ON IT AND WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION INCLUDING THE TIRES!!!!!! They then play their goddamn "make the customer wait" games and bring out like 4 different salesmen/managers/etc.....as an hour and half goes by....and we still don't have a deal. I tell my mom where the numbers need to be $11.5k for her trade-in and $28k for the CR-V because I have to go see a client. Well, she ended up getting the CR-V and within $1k of those above numbers because they made her pay for some stupid alarm they installed and said they couldn't "uninstall." I would have walked. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR "INTERNET PRICES" and that buying from their Internet Department will be a clean transaction. I bought a new Lexus in 2010 and it took less than 60 minutes for me to complete a deal and sign the papers. In the past five years I have purchased that Lexus, a Ferrari, a BMW, and a Honda from dealers.......never have I had to deal with the typical bullshit of non-luxury car dealers when going through their Internet Departments. I wish I could give them Zero Stars. I will talk anyone I know who is looking to buy a Honda to go anywhere but Bell Honda to purchase their car. Bought a 2010 Honda Civic here a couple weeks ago. Have to say that overall, it was one of the easiest, most pleasant car buying experiences I've ever had. The salesman was knowledgeable about the car I wanted and I didn't have to do the back and forth "let me talk to my manager" routine. He made the whole experience so easy and actually, a lot of fun! Very happy with my new car, and I would definitely go back there when I am ready for a new car....but not for a long time! read more
