I've come here multiple times to study with friends and it's become a go to spot. When you walk in…read morethere's a market in the front with a deli and food you can order, which I love because it's nice having options beyond just coffee. I've ordered drinks and the mushroom sandwich, both really good and reasonably priced. We tried to get the cheeseboard too but it was sold out, which was a little sad but just means I have a reason to come back and try it. The coffee is solid as well, no complaints there. For studying, the space is really great. Good amount of tables, enough room to spread out, and there are charging ports which is a non negotiable for a long study session. The workers are friendly too. Oh and there's an ice cream shop attached to it. It's such a well rounded spot, whether you're coming to grab a quick bite, study for a few hours, or treat yourself to ice cream after. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious as well, we each got a variety of hot and baked goods. My quiche was yummy and the chocolate chip cookie was delish as well. My kids liked the plain avocado toast and breakfast burrito. You go to a counter and order and they package it to go. The line was long and it was a little confusing with different counters giving you different things (coffee drinks, non coffee drinks and food). You seat yourself, we initially were asked to move from sitting in an outside space that apparently was connected to another restaurant. So we had to find and put together another table for 7. This wasn't the most conducive for eating with little kids nor groups. I probably wouldn't return with little ones or a big group, but it would be great for a solo brunch or small group of adults!

From the moment you walk in, the warm, welcoming vibe makes you feel right at home. Every bite showcases incredible attention to quality--whether it's their perfectly smoked meats, juicy burgers, or decadent sides. Service was friendly and attentive, making the experience feel personal and unhurried. Portions are generous, so you leave completely satisfied but still dreaming about your next visit. Pair your meal with a cider or one of their fountain drinks, and it becomes an event rather than just dinner. Honestly, Bolyards balances casual comfort with chef-level execution--10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves bold, hearty flavors.

I stopped in to pick up a pork loin because I was around the corner, looking for ~3-4lbs of meat. They only had a 1 1/2 pound in the case (order taker weighed it to confirm before going to the back, which should've been my first warning) so I asked if they had any larger ones. They were nice enough to check and offer to cut one. That's where things went downhill. After waiting 5 or 10 minutes, my order taker came back out to ask how I wanted it prepped (bone or boneless, skin on or off). I said skin off and ambivalent on the bones. This was my mistake, leaving my fate to the hands of someone profit motivated. I walked out with just about a 3 pound bone in roast, which is maybe half a pound more meat than the one and a half pound I turned down - not enough for my guests and I. Had I gotten a roast closer to 4lbs, I would've been unhappy with the price but not enough to write a review. Additionally, they only charged a dollar less for bone in. At $15/lb, I effectively paid the price of their beef for the meat after accounting for the bone. I felt tricked. In hindsight, I should've just turned it down when I saw the price, but I was a bit too shocked to say anything. So I paid my bill and swore that I wouldn't be coming back for anything but (maybe) sausage again.

When you walk into 6427 S Hampton you can see that they have some great ideas. The place has green accents and even Aliska had green glasses and socks with pickles. She means business. I tried Ms. Brilliant Black Garlic (this would be great as a marinade on fish), Ms. Bodacious Black Cherry (in a little vodka? Yes please) and Ms. Hilarious Hickory Sweet Hot Bacon (cupcake...yup) but there are 31 more for me to try. I ended up buying 2 relishes Ms. Intelligent Sweet Spicy Dill Garlic (it kicked up my tuna salad) and Ms. Fearless Fireball Whiskey (good by itself... it's not alcoholly (new word)). These are sold at Soulard Market already but with a storefront Aliska is going to start incorporating her pickles and relish into various foods like meatloaf, quiches and even cupcakes. (She had a sample and it was moist and never would you have thought that pickles were in it. I'm giving her a 4 because I'm waiting for her to roll out her breakfast and then I'll go back and update. Honestly, these are not only yummy but a true conversation starter.
