I live near this place but always went to Hunan Lion out of habit. My wife tried a different location so I gave the location in RR a shot. The food was really good and definitely better than Hunan Lion. The food was freshly prepared, packaged well and delicious. My new go to place for Chinese food when I am at home. It is a little more expensive than Hunan Lion though which surprised me given the location and relatively tiny restaurant size. read more

Wrote my original review 2 years ago. Since I've been a regular, i even got some of my coworkers hooked on this place. Today I'm editing my review based on the last few visits. Few weeks ago we ordered for the office we had a huge order and 1/2 of it was wrong. We've done this before and never had a problem. But OK everyone has an off day. However, we noticed the portions were small and the food it wasn't so great. I've love this place for two years so I'll give it another chance. Well we had lunch there just last week and 3 out of 4 people on my table found the food questionable. The 4th plate kung pao chicken; had so much salt after 2 bites it was impossible to continue eating. We asked if it could be fixed and with a bad attitude the food was taken back only to be brought back exactly the same. I told the only employee there was no way- we could not eat this food and her response was "This is the way we cook". She insisted I take it with me if i couldn't eat it. After arguing with me about what to do with the food she finally offered to replace it with 2 egg rolls. She expected me to pay the cost of the FULL meal $10.50 in exchange for 2 egg rolls. I asked to speak to a manager and she finally said "ok so what do you want" my response was "Something i can eat." She suggested fried rice - no meat. My meal had chicken so i countered with how about chicken fried rice. She said Fine and walked away. Few minutes later i got chicken fried rice in a to go container. It was Ok, not sure i will be back. Which is a shame because i really did use to like this place. ORIGINAL: 2016 (5-stars) Best hot and sour soup Ever! Everything is sooo good. The dry pot beef is really delicious. Order that with vermicelli and that's the perfect combo for two. I like to eat there this way food is fresh and hot. Drink a mango hot tea to make all perfect!!! read more

My sister and I ordered carry out for the first time from this restaurant on March 7, 2018. We ordered the dinner combo for 2...chicken with garlic sauce and chicken with vegetable. Both dishes were delicious! The food was hot when it arrived and tasted fresh. The large pieces of chicken in both dishes was tender and the veggies crispy. The combo included an egg roll and soup. I did not care for The sweet and sour soup but I loved the veggie egg roll! It was really light and tasty...not greasy and heavy like some egg rolls. The delivery guy was kind and friendly. I'm hoping I can give this ZERO stars since the service there is horrible. The food taste doesn't even matter (very average) when it comes with a rude attitude being dished up by the lady at the register. I've been in there two times and every time this lady has been rude to me while I was in there with my children. Good food with nice size portions for the price. We get their dumplings and combination lo mien. They have good size shrimp and are not too stingy with it like some other places we have tried. It's not the best Chinese I have ever had, but you get a lot of food for a fair price. I have had their hot and sour soup and was not that impressed. So it's not something I get there. read more

Tried the restaurant after reading from Yelp that there was an ownership change. The young man who serviced us was very polite and tried to answer our questions but it seemed that he was not too well informed about the menu. Even the young Chinese lady could not tell me what was the house special sauce in the "sliced fish with house special sauce"; so we opted to order the stir fried spicy fish. The fish was deep fried with dry chilies, no sauce, not the traditional stir fried we all are accustomed to. The same with the sichuan spicy beef, the beef was flash fried. Overall the food was tasty. The dumplings were good, so was the hot & sour soup. Next time we come, we would order from the regular menu. Perhaps try the fish in chili oil. Service was good. Really need to give the young man credit. Maybe the owners can put a little more descriptions for the Sichuan style gourmet, or pictures. I am Chinese and I can read Chinese, but the names of the dishes did not tell me how they are cooked. read more

I am very impressed with this place. The food here is wonderful though. My whole group at work have been coming here every week since they opened five years now. We buy a big order different thing all the time. I mean the food was fresh and crisp. orange flavored chicken, Triple delights, beef with garlic sauce, general Tso chicken. shrimp fried rice, mongolian beef. They also special cook shrimp egg fu young. All of the dishes were very good and reasonably priced. The quality and clean is better than other chinese restaurants. nice service was pleasant friendly. I'm being kind with the 1 star. I ordered the sesame chicken for lunch take out. There was mostly only breading on the chicken, very little chicken inside the breading. The chicken had a taste to it that was very unpleasant, it tasted like it had been cooked in very old and dirty oil. The sauce thet covered the chicken with was beyond disgusting. For the prices they charge, which are competitive with other local chinese restaurant, they should up the quality of the food they sell. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know that lives is this area to avoid this place all together, there are so many others that offer much better quality food for the same price. read more

What a HORRIBLE place!! The WORST Chinese food I've ever had. It was bland, oily, tastless and boring! The owner was extremely RUDE and unfriendly. My husband and I took our 2 young children there for lunch and she gave us nasty looks the whole time because my baby was dropping noodles on the floor (as she was trying to eat them). She told us not to come back because we were "too messy". I am APPAULED and will call the news station to report such discriminatory behavior. read more

This is my first time my family came in to dine in since the change of new ownership, I think was just recently in September 2017. The place is clean and well kept unlike the previous tenants. The owner and the waitress was nice and pleasant. The menu has variety of delicious disks and the taste was good, no msg and good portion to cost. My family order pineapple fried rice, seafood delight, Lomein beef noodle, Hunan pork and hot-sour soup. The food came on time and serve at right temperature. We have left over to take out as well. Got a chance to visit the rest room and it was clean. The take out seems to be very busy and, I will try the delivery next time and put in my future comments. read more

I just love Beijing Express. Since the new owners have taken over the food has taken on a more delicious authentic taste !!! The service is very efficient and friendly. It is now my favorite restaurant !!! The Chinese Chef really knows his dishes and it shows in the presentation and flavors and taste. We are regulars now and plan on trying everything on the menu. This is not a dine-in place. This is take-out. The food is very American Chinese, but that is what my hubby and kiddo like. I like bold authentic spicy flavors and I dont get that here. The jalapeño chicken is a favorite. Its quick and just around the corner. The people are super nice. read more

My husband and I both love eating here! We live across the street and order food from here at least once a week. Our food is always fresh and delicious! The staff has always been friendly and they know us so well that they already know what we are going to order when we walk in the door. A very good first visit! We had fried rice with shrimp, chicken and beef, as well as cashew chicken. The meals came with egg rolls and fortune cookies. The dinners are mostly in the $8.50-$9 range. We had been disappointed in the lack of decent, fast Chinese food in this area. Beijing Express was surprisingly good. The food was served steaming hot, tasted fresh and was cooked with a light touch. Chicken, shrimp and beef were moist and tender, and not over-seasoned. The vegetables were cooked to a tasty crunch. Oils and sauces were light, not burdensome and greasy. The egg rolls were crisp, not chewy on the outside, with a fine but not mushy texture. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is walk-up order and then they bring it out. I would have considered another star if the tables and chairs were not so plain and spartan -- booths would be nice. However, the place was very clean and pleasant enough, including the restrooms. It's a bit off our regular path, but we will keep it on our list for times when Oriental food calls. read more
