Good pizza and good service. I always have a good experience at this particular Beggar's.

First, my rating is for the food only as I agree the service at this location sucks and it's mainly (for me) their attitude! Its like the could care less whether you ate there or not. Even in the carry out area there's a feeling that the cashiers have been having a bad day all their life! But the pizza at Beggars is fantastic! The thin crust pie has a soft texture and fresh taste (may find yourself eating the crust first and then the toppings) and when they say they lay it on thick, they weren't kidding! I like to order mines with sausage, pepperoni, and jalapeño and love how they load it up. The pepperoni has a great spice flavor and the sausage pieces are the perfect size and plentiful. They do have several locations so experience may differ based on where you go and I really wish the service was better but when it comes to pizza, Beggars leaves my happy! Would love to give them a better rating but service is important. read more

I ordered dinner last night, pretty simple order, a beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese and the natural sauce on the side, well done fries and onion rings. It arrived almost 2 hours later and there was no natural sauce on the side, so it was just dry beef on a bun with mozzarella melted on top. It was barely warm and dry and awful. The well done fries I ordered were like wet noodles - soggy and almost raw. I called and the manager (who was exceptionally rude) offered to give me $5.00 off my next order. I almost burst out laughing - as if I would order from there again. I just threw the whole meal out because I could not even salvage the sandwich it was so dry, I tried to heat up the fries and they were still awful. I've picked up from there during this pandemic and the one time I order delivery they botch it completely. I think the rude attitude from the manager was the icing on the cake. This has been a rough time for everyone, maybe try to respect one another and take responsibility when a screw up occurs. read more

Beggar's Pizza varies in quality from location to location. I have been to about 12 of them, and this is by far the best one and that's saying something. Some of the comments on here complain about the service, but let me assure you there are some very friendly people who work here in addition to the few bad apples. We had a party for my goddaughter's christening here and it was excellent at a very reasonable cost. There is no pizza in the south suburbs that can compare with this Beggar's location. read more

We used one of the banquet rooms for a surprise party for my husband's birthday in March. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The package price was reasonable and the food very good. Would definitely use this facility again. read more

No matter where I work there is a Beggars Pizza near by... so it has become a habit... grab a slice and go! I like this location has lunch specials. I always get a cheese slice... because they lay it on thick! Grated cheese and crushed red pepper and you're good to go! I don't car for the deep dish crust. read more

Their pizza is way too greasy for me.. and when they say they lay it on thick.. they mean it! Way too much for me. If you like tons of cheese and toppings this pizza its perfect for you. I have had their taco pizza and I liked it better than the regular. Their cheesefries are soo amazing. I could eat an entire order to myself. Good staff and good service! On July 5, 2021, I came to Beggars Pizza in Oak Forest with my family. I received horrible service. My family and I waited for at least 30 minutes before a waitress came to table to take drink orders. After the waitress Holly brought the drinks, she took awhile before she came back to take food order. After waiting for 45 minutes, we finally receive salad that should have came out within 15 minutes. The pizza came out over 2 hour later from the time we arrive. We noticed that other customers receive their pizza prior to us but they sat down afterwards. We had to ask another waitress to request our waitress to come to table for drinks and to order another pizza. If I hadn't requested, I don't think Holly would have came over. Holly also spilled lemonade on my jacket, purse, and arm. She asked me whether I need napkins. I couldn't believe she asked when clearly she could see she spilled lemonade on me. It took her another 10 minutes to bring napkins. I requested to speak with the Manager. The manager Sharon was no better. She took what happen as a joke. She wasn't apologetic and she was told about the horrible service. My sister had to tell Sharon is that all we are requesting is quality service and she is telling us they are short staffed. I was just so disappointed because normally I receive satisfactory service. read more

Hands down the best pizza chain. Although a bit on the pricey side you pay for what you get which is one of the tastiest, flavorful, and filling pizzas. Like the slogan says "we lay it on thick". This isn't the typical thin crust style pizza that is like cardboard. read more

Beggars is a must have when I come back home to visit. It's nothing like some good pizza.

This Beggars is always consistently good, both the food and the service. We live in Blue Island but come to this location because of this. They have plenty of room so you never really have to wait for a seat. They waitresses are always friendly. The pizza is always good. I really like the baked cookie for dessert. I came here recently and the waitress came by me to make sure my coffee was topped off. I don't think we ever had bad service here or bad food. read more

I'm rarely disappointed when it comes to beggars...been scarfing it down for close to 20 years. I guess you can say it varies in atmosphere depending on which one you go to but the pizza remains as some of the best i've ever tasted. From thin crust to deep dish you really can't go wrong. Okay, first of all, as one who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I still maintain that New York/Brooklyn pizza is the best ever. That having been said, I really liked Beggar's. The crust was good, the sauce was good, and the toppings were generously applied. No skimping. My family ordered four large with different topping selections on each and they were all good, even the plain cheese. It may not be Brooklyn pizza but it was one of the best Midwest pizzas I've tasted. read more

Lunch buffet is so nice. Pizza, pasta, Italian sausage or beef. Short but sweet salad bar. And to finish a great of all you can eat awesomeness - the cookie slice melts in your mouth leaving you wanting more. Always receive good service from the staff as well. If I could have rated Beggars Pizza a zero, I would have. Yesterday, I purchased a Chicken Caesar Salad for dinner. When I arrived home, I noticed that the salad was swamped with black olives. It was so many olives that they could have filled up a 16 ounce cup. The manager Renee, told me that the salad maker has been there for 22 years, (22 years too long!) Then, Renee had the nerve to tell me that I should have taken a picture of the salad, because my receipt was not good enough. Who does that? My Chicken Caesar Salad which turned into a olive salad, cost me $12.38. The lettuce was wilted, the feta cheese was old, and it was not shredded properly, to top that off the chicken was extra dry. Can you believe, she wanted to give me $3.00 adding an insult to my experience there. I was too out done! read more

Usually we enjoy Beggars at this location. Got carry out this past Saturday and ordered online (nice, although it would helpful to get an ETA on carry out orders). Two pizzas and a combo sandwich. The sandwich was ok and the fries were fine. However, we had a mushroom and onion pizza that was bad. Mushy as all hell and not even remotely sliced. Like cutting tangy taffy. Not baked long enough at all-mushrooms were disgusting. Might be taking a break from Beggars for a while. read more

I went to Beggars in Oak Forest last night with my daughter for Fathers Day dinner. We arrived and were immediately sat as there was no wait and the restaurant was 3/4 full. We waited at the table for nearly 20 minutes and were never greeted by a server or manager. We were never approached for drinks, dinner ect. Finally, we decided to leave and went to a nearby restaurant where we were promptly served. I have no comment on the food as we never had a chance to even order. With the abundance of pizza restaurants on the south side I will gladly take my business else where! Never again. read more

Ever since I moved with my family to the south 'burbs in the early 2000s, we have loved getting Beggar's. I've never dined in at any of their locations, so I can't vouch for that, but their pizza has never failed us. It's great that they're opening more locations across Chicagoland and we've gotten pizza from their Mokena location, which is closer to where we currently live. However, pizza from the OF location tastes slightly better than the latter. Best pizza chain by far! read more

Just had a great spaghetti dinner with meatballs. Our server Zach was excellent. Very courteous and never had to ask for refills. Everything we requested he was prompt and we had a very very good experience. This was our second time there and we will come back. read more

first time ordering for this beggars location.This location is huge with a kind of 1970s family breakfast joint kind of look going one. It has dim lighting. The atmosphere was way better than the food. The food was soggy, made sloppy, and just was horrible compared to other beggars pizza locations. To make matters worse, one of the chicken wraps we ordered had a hair on it. Called to speak to the manager, she answered nice and friendly but by the end of the call after explaining how the food was bad she ended with an attitude. Didn't even bother getting the food remade. Never ordering again with this location ever again.If I am going to pay almost 8 bucks for a burger & fries I will stick with the kedzie blue island and mokena beggars with way better food. read more

Buffett, lukewarm to cold. fresh out of oven pizza put out after it's cooled down to room temperature, after previous lukewarm, cold dried up slices are all gone. Spaghetti buffet thing not that great. Sauce to watery. Noodles ice cold just about. I guess if this buffet was open after last call it would be better. After drinking Budweiser. read more

I've enjoyed Beggars Pizza since I was a kid in Mt greenwood. 30 years. However, I won't be robbed. It's such a shame they offer no deals unless you spend $30 or more. And that's before tax and delivery charge, and don't forget the tip. $1.00 for a cup of sauce? Are you guys hurting that bad? I went online to price out a possible lunch for me and my daughter and for a small pizza, bread sticks (an extra sauce because I'm pretty sure nobody needs just one! it should come with two, hello!) And a 6 pack it was something like $24.50. Btw the Pizza had half pepperoni and half cheese, but I would still be charged the full topping charge. That wasn't even counting the delivery charge. Get with the times, offer some actual coupons. Until then, you're losing loyal life long customers. At least one. You can't replace coupons with dumb loyalty clubs. Ask the rest of the food industry. read more

Update: Tho I appreciate that Susan G. of Beggars responded to my review, I need to make it clear that the "service" was not an issue of mine. I just didn't care for much of the pizza, past and present....... First. Appreciated the fast, hot delivery and the fact that they have non-carbonated drinks for delivery. I believe I had a taste of a Beggars regular thin crust pizza over a decade ago. Didn't care for it, too meaty, too much sausage. I think it's a female thing, we don't always like a heavy pizza loaded with meat. More of a guy's taste. So I tried a deep dish sausage pizza today from this location along with garlic bread and the deep dish chocolate chip cookie. Deep dish often means different things to different pizza places. This place was more of a stuffed pizza to me when I was looking for less of a casserole experience. The cheese was not bad and the crust had a little something to it. The sausage was just so-so and I found the sauce too acidic and not flavorful. I will stick with Malnati's, Arrenello's and Burt's, for that kind of pizza. Beggar's garlic bread "was" enjoyable. The deep dish cookie was fair. They do a better version of it at Aurelio's in Mokena and Aurelio's will also deliver the ice cream to go with it. In a pinch Beggar's is ok, but I would never dream about it or go out of my way to pre-plan a visit, carry-out or delivery. read more

Stopped by on Sat for a quick pizza and drink at the Oak Forest location on cicero. Sat at the bar and had a great time. Dan our bartender was great. Pizza was awesome, drinks were awesome and Dan was friendly and attentive. read more

Nancy has NO customer service skills. She was rude, did not make sure my order was correct. When I asked her if an item was in the bag, she said "I don't know. I opened the bag and it was not in there. She goes I don't check every order. I told here procedure would be to make sure the order is correct before the customer leaves. My daughter and I went in to Beggars Pizza in Oak Forest, IL and we were treated like we weren't welcome because we didn't want the buffet. We wanted to have a pizza. The person that greeted us at the Please wait to be seated sign waved us off to just sit over there. After waiting 10 minutes for a wait person we decided they did not want us to be there, so we left. What a disappointment in staff personal completely indifferent to the customer. read more
