I ordered a large thin crust cheese and sausage pizza. This is the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The crust was burnt, it had no flavor this pizza was very disappointing. Very little cheese. I am very disappointed in this pizza. If you are cutting back on ingredients you should cut back on your prices. But even if you cut back on the price I still wouldn't come to this establishment ever again. This picture you present needs to be replaced with how your pizza really looks. Ordered 2 Tavern-style pizzas. One sausage and the other with pepperoni. Ordered them one day in advance for a 6 pm delivery. I am a 5-minute ride from the restaurant. Got them 20 minutes late and they were not even remotely hot. The pizzas were warm. Had to heat them up. plate by plate in the microwave. This happened the last time I ordered delivery from them, one year ago. See prior review. All they offered was an apology, no discounty or free delivery, nothing. Just an apparently empty apology as their service did not change. Still poor delivery service. I gave them a second chance, never again. Other pizzerias deliver pizza hot. Super efficient service. Great recommendations from the bartender (Jeff) for items on the menu as he gave a more detailed description. Parmesan crust pizza absolutely delicious! Crisp crust and the sauce was perfect. I had sausage and pepperoni but there were many toppings to choose from or you could select a specialty pizza from the menu. The Giordano salad had an amazing dressing and shaved parm, yummy. The menu also had sandwiches and pasta items as well. Affordable and great tasting food in an inviting atmosphere. read more

The energy in this restaurant is awful, horrible design. The service is terrible also. It feels like everyone is in a daze and it's lo due to poor management. Never ever has my order been accurate and timely. The confusion when trying to find a solution makes me concerned about the back of the kitchen and the things I can't see. Giordano's pizza is always a hit! Even though people from Chicago say that deep dish is not Chicago style. This pizza is always the best! My coworker and I were passing through on the way back from a conference and decided to stop. We were quickly seated and greeted by our waitress LaDaris. She was able to make great recommendations as well as accommodations for my coworker. The food and service was amazing! Also, this place is super clean! You can usually tell a lot about a restaurant by how clean the restrooms are. Upon entering to wash my hands I noticed that this place was spotless! We were sat right away for lunch on a weekday. The service was good overall, our waitress was friendly and accommodating. They let us know the deep dish would take about 45 min to cook so that was good to know ahead of time. - Giordano's house salad (4/5): this was a great combination of flavors. The lemon vinaigrette was delicious, and the fennel and asiago cheese were great as well - Chicago classic deep dish pizza (4/5): really good but not the best deep dish in may opinion. I haven't ordered a Giodano's pizza in a couple of years. Used to order from a location on Vollmer Road, closed now. Found location in Matteson, Illinois on US30. Was going to order the "Chicago Special" deep dish. No longer. Started with large "make your own" deep dish, I added extra sausage for $7.90 and extra cheese for $3.95. Ordered at 4:17pm, picked up at 5:20pm, lady could not find my pizza, got, take home. Wife and I very hungry, I give her one slice on her plate and I take two slices for me. Looks good. Taste was, in one word, tasteless. Got the extra cheese, really could not find the sausage, found a couple of small pieces of sausage in the cheese. This is the "extra" sausage ripoff. Wife made it through a half slice, said she couldn't eat any more. I made it through one whole slice, looking for sausage, found couple of small pieces mixed in the tons of cheese. Wrapped up all the other pieces, put in frig, love pizza the next day. Before we retired, we agreed, took all of the rest of the pizza and threw it in the garbage. Write off$42.88. Would never order anything from them again. Today, looked up Giordano's, closed a bunch of other places, understand why, don't like anyone loosing their jobs but this place should be closed, Oh yeah, their "new" Chicago Special doesn't even have any sausage on it. Years ago, this place might compete with Gino't East deep dish. Now, they should call it the "Garbage Can Special". Don't waste your money. read more

We were not checked on at all so we asked another server walking by to ask our server if she would refill our drinks (which hadn't been done after being there for an hour), she did bring the soda drinkers new sodas but left everyone else's glasses empty and then never checked on us again. With me not living up North anymore, it's rare I get to experience deep dish now a days! That said, we came here and were seated right away. As you can imagine, due to COVID all staff are wearing masks, and their are dots in place for social distancing. They also have some tables blocked off to ensure people aren't sitting right up under each other. We started with the buffalo nuggets, which were decent. Ranch was extremely watery, couldn't help but wonder if they were trying to stretch it. However, the pizza itself made up for it! We did mushrooms, italian sausages and jalapenos. Unlike any other deep dish pizza, they actually put our jalapenos on top. I've never seen my ingredients.. on top. Was told this was done to easily distinguish the different pizzas since they cannot see inside. That said, it tasted amazing. The amount of gooey cheese oozing out was amazing. The bread wasn't soggy, and the ingredients were perfect. My only regret is not getting a BIGGER pizza. read more

The food was great! Or it would've been if we had received everything we ordered (multiple things were forgot and we had to ask for FIVE TIMES just to receive). If the service steps up it would've been enjoyable. Food was seriously amazing however there's no explanation for customers having to ask for things more than 2 time, 3 at max. This is my second visit to a Giordano's (Saturday night) and this visit did not impress. This location is small, with extremely loud diners and staff. It was 4 people in our party, we were seated quickly and drink orders taken. We placed our food orders and I also ordered a salad. I asked for a specific salad which they no longer have and the waitress went to get a salad menu, but I was not offered the new salad menu, just told we don't have that one you asked for. I ordered the house salad instead and we placed our pizza orders ( small personal cheese and a large thin crust half black olives and sausage and half sausage, onions, green peppers) The large pizza was out in about 35 minutes give it take which is typical; however the small cheese took an additional 30 minutes which was unacceptable. By the time the small arrived the rest of us had our fair share of pizza, while the other just said " just make it to go". Our waitress disappeared often, we asked other waitresses about the small cheese order, as well as the guy helping at the front desk bringing drink refills. Guess what!!! Not a single person came back to update us on that darn small cheese pizza. It shouldn't have taken as long as it did, kitchen staff did not time the order correctly. We were told the large pizza is put in the oven first then the small. Ok that's fine, but time the orders so that the table is getting food at some what close intervals. Not 30 mins later. I wouldn't chose to come back to this location, I'd rather drive downtown. This one was close to the hotel we were staying in, but I know better now. read more
