Great beef sandwiches and salads and I enjoy coming to eat here i wish theirs one in Matteson

I've stopped here several times for a bite. I have always received excellent customer service. I don't like the wait for food at a fast food establishment. The wait in line is usually short. I order the Supreme Pizza or one of their Pizza varieties. They all taste good. Manager Terry, ensures her staff actively gives excellent customer service. I enjoy the food and environment read more

The new bun for the gluten free option instead of the pita is pretty good! As usual gluten free bread is a big crumbly but I enjoyed it!

I visit this location often. However, my food today wasn't prepared properly and wasn't good. I reached out to the manager (Ginger) to let her know, and she only made excused. I ordered 4 meals and 2 were thrown together. It's hard to mess up cheese pizza. It had very little sauce and very little cheese. I couldn't believe they gave be a box of crust! read more

I have had it with this location. They are not consistent and I can't stand hit or miss establishments. I go here often especially being the location closest to me. But, I will be traveling to Frankfort going forward. I hate it because my food is usually good but lately I've been getting crap. It started with my most recent combo sandwich bread tasting old and literally crumbling. They "might" have gotten away with it if the sandwich was dipped as I requested. Instead, they just wet it so nearly half of it was DRY and very stale! Then, I went to Frankfort just because I was in the area and decided to finally try the caesar sandwich and it was so delicious I decided to get another the next day BUT from Flossmoor. I had to eat over half the chicken by itself because they gave me such a small piece of bread it couldn't hold all the meat (see photo) and very little salad on it. Food should be made the same no matter the location. read more

The regular Italian beef with nacho cheese was very good but pricey for size. It was around $10 plus tax and I don't think the size is worth it. At least mine was not. A good part of my bread had no beef at all. The fries were good. Service was quick through drive thru. read more

I love their Italian beef sandwiches and their Chicago hotdogs. Tried their pizza, that was not so great. Servers are very friendly.

I always have a good experience at this location. I sometimes have to wait for food, but never more than 10 minutes. I love the crispy French fries. They are my favorite of all time! Buona restaurant in Flossmoor Illinois was not worth the time and health risk taking during this pandemic. After getting up enough nerves to go outside, I stopped by Buona to grab a quick meal. Because I like seeing the preparation of my meal and observing the cleanliness of the environment, I normally don't use the drive through. I order two pesto turkey sandwiches, one salmon sandwich, and an order of large fries. I asked for extra lettuce and sauce on the sandwiches. I also had a $5 coupon which I was not allowed to use. Bottom line, instead of turkey on my sandwich I got chicken . I called the manager, he explained that they were slicing the turkey a different way...blah..blah...blah. He wanted me to bring back the sandwiches which was no problem had we not been in a full-blown pandemic. Not worth the trip & health risk read more

I don't know if the food truck was from the flossmoor location or not. This review is strictly for the food truck at the Homewood Flossmoor pride day. I have always wanted to try their beef so when I saw the food truck I gave it a try. The beef was cold, the bun was not fresh and the fries were terribly salty. Won't eat it again. read more

I hadn't been to Buona in years and this was my first time at this location. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the Rosemont location so I didn't have high expectations when I stopped in for lunch one afternoon. I had a burger and my sister ordered a hot dog. We also had fries and drinks. My sister didn't like the hot dog at all. She said it had a weird after taste and definitely seemed like an off brand. She didn't eat it all for fear of getting sick. She also said that there was so much relish on the hot dog that the bun was soggy. The burger was okay, but nothing special. One thing I noticed was that the burger was larger than the bun so some of the beef hung over the bun. The fries were just okay. The restaurant had a nice crowd and the service was reasonably fast which was a plus. The atmosphere was quiet and inviting. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the electrical outlets placed near some of the tables is very convenient if you're dining in. I probably won't return to Buona anytime soon. read more

The Buona Beef restaurant in Flossmoor is located in a good location with an ample amount of parking. The food is cooked fresh and has lots of flavor. I love the fries. The building its self is very contemporary and it's a clean establishment. On the other hand, the customer service needs improvement. When you ask the workers to add more ingredients, they don't listen and are very stingy. These sandwiches are very costly, so being stingy on lettuce peppers, and condiments is not an option. So the sandwiches are decent, but they are not worth the money when you can go to other restaurants and get more products for a cheaper price. Update: In May 2020 I ordered an 7" Charbroiled Sausage Sandwich. I can say that the food was very skimpy. You have to pay for cheese and sauce to be added. You can visit other restaurants in the area for the same prices and receive a better quality and portions of food. My sandwich was dry, small, and disappointing to say the least. read more

First time at a Buona. Came inside and I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and side of fries to go. Every staff member I interacted with were both friendly and helpful. Food was made fresh and didn't take long at all. I got greedy and dug my hand in the bag to get a fry and they were so hot and delicious that I decided to stay and enjoy my meal. Very good food, great customer service and a clean environment. Can't wait to come back. read more

I came to this location today since I was running an errand at a nearby Target, and Buona is giving away an Italian Beef sandwich if you have the app. This location also has a Rainbow Cone truck conveniently next to it, so I was able to kill 2 birds with a stone. This place is super busy today because one they're giving away a sandwich but also because it's National Italian Beef Day. Having worked in retail before, I'm appreciative that the staff showed up to work and everything was running smoothly for the most part. It's a short wait to order, to get your food, and the drive thru is also busy. They even shut off the app orders. I ordered a regular beef with mozzarella cheese, giardinera, original way, and gutted (scooping out the bread, so it's kind of skinny and thinner than normal). I also ordered a crispy chicken sandwich on a lettuce bun since I was really curious how their chicken sandwich fairs, and I also didn't know they started offering lettuce buns so that's pretty cool. I ordered a regular fry and a bottle of water as well. I should've checked my order like open everything up before I left because my sandwich was made on a bun, even though my receipt said lettuce. It's not a deal breaker thankfully my yeast intolerance isn't as bad as my friends who have celiac. Mistakes happen, and I'm pretty sure it's not intentional since my beef was actually gutted. The chicken sandwich is delicious, so I will have to come back when it's not super busy to give them another chance. If I dined in, I will most likely have caught the mistake and asked if they could make it right. Since I didn't dine in, I didn't check, and I took it to go, it is what it is. I do recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for Italian Beef and rainbow cone ice cream. read more

Awesome experience with delicious food. We celebrated my adult daughter's birthday lunch today and it could not have been more perfect. My go to place for food on the go these days. 95% of the time everything is spot on but if it's not, the manager will fix it. They have a nice dine in area and when I'm not in a rush I like to sit inside and calmly enjoy my meal. Occasionally get the Italian beef but mainly order the hamburger, crispy chicken salad or sandwich and or hot dog. Writing this review makes me hungry. Think I'll go there today. Also enjoy the 1/2 price happy hour super thick milkshakes. Don't miss out and eat at ordinary fast food places. Eat at Buona. read more

$70 carry out order for the family last night. We were so hungry and excited. Got back to the house and discovered 3 of 4 sandwiches had none of the two toppings ordered on each. 4th had only one of the two toppings ordered. Paid extra for each of these. Also missing was an order of fries and both "on the side" ingredients purchased. Fries that did make it into the order were undercooked and cold The only meal of the 5 ordered that was accurate was the kids chicken tenders. After eating our "Okay" sandwiches (nothing special), drove the 15 minutes back to the store to have all of our missing items refunded. The manager was polite and apologized, but this place seriously lacks attention to detail and any kind of quality control process. I checked the receipt the clerk gave me after ordering and he got most of what I told him accurate and I figured I'd let the 1 sandwich he forgot cheese on just slide. However, our 92% accuracy dropped to 15% accuracy upon inspection at home. Having worked in a restaurant myself (actually preparing Italian Beef sandwiches), I'm totally baffled how every sandwich we ordered was prepared incorrectly. You just read the ticket and do the thing on the ticket, right? I was going to mention that they have fast service, but if the cost of speed is 85% inaccuracy, then fast service turns into a negative attribute rather than a positive. I would have happily waited 5 or even 10 minutes longer to have my family enjoy what they actually ordered instead of everyone sitting around the table complaining "hey they screwed up mine too!" Two stars for having ok beef and being clean, but with 1000 other places to get an Italian Beef sandwich in Chicagoland, I'll take my chances elsewhere. read more

I'm giving this place 5 Stars for now, it's super new to the area and the food is always fresh and hot and delicious might i add. The prices could be a little pricey but hey you pay for what you get and you're getting spectacular food here, i will definitely become a regular. read more

As far as first impressions go, improvement in service is needed. Some of the staff is still too new. Those folks get a pass. The managers and trainers, however, make up the difference. The fries are pretty good and the chicken artichoke panini is pretty good. The family liked he $5 solo pizzas and the pretzel burger. The daily specials, excluding Saturday, are a good promo too. Join their reward program and get a tiny $5 off the next visit. Smart business move. That's a free pizza on Thursdays. I guess we can add this to the rotation. read more

Yummy. I've been waiting to try this place. I'm a die hard Italian Beef lover, so it was destiny. Yasss to the drive thru, when I'm with my children I have no time to go in! So this was a must. I got the Italian Beef meal with fries and a lemonade. The beef was tender and it was not soggy one bit. The beef wasn't as flavorful as I expected but it did its job. I will certainly go back. And the fries were fresh HOT and ready! So yummy. My son loved them. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. If the fries aren't cold, the sandwich meat is either burnt, dried out or overcooked. The salads have been reduced to a round bowl filled with wet soggy lettuce with other ingredients of which you can't tell what it is! The handling of food, the quality of the food and preparation of the food is below standards. Anyone who eats here should be cautious, this is salmonella at its finest. I have been to other Buona Beef locations and the food quality and presentation is upscale a huge difference from the location on Vollmer and Pulaski read more

Complete shit show. I was in the store on the evening of 10/21/21. I placed my order at 7:40 PM. We didn't walk out of the store until 8:20 pm. I kid you not. After seeing people who ordered after us served and leave I went up to those preparing the orders to inquire. One of the bags that had been sitting there for 20 minutes turned out to be ours. Oh, except the strawberry milk shake which, in all that time had not been made. Add insult to injury I get home and while I had ordered two large fries and one small the bag contained two small and one large. NEVER again. The woman preparing the orders was walking back and forth and clearly had no clue what the hell she is doing. 40 minutes for cold food that had been sitting there for 20 and at the end of the day, the order was wrong. WTH?! Order #277 placed 10/21/21 7:40 pm, order ID: AAANUKEJACFC. You've lost a customer. read more
