For the last couple of years, I always seem to have an issue with this location. Today, there was a misunderstanding with an online order. After rectifying that matter, I physically went into the establishment to place an order. The temperature of the store was freezing for starters. Placed my order but felt a sense of uncertainty of the food received. I noticed one of the staff members cutting something on one of the sandwiches ‍; then I requested a shakes. I noticed the same staff member asking another staff member if there was any more ice cream. AM shift usually gets my order right, but I have no hope for PM shift. I have a tendency to eat potbelly at least 3-4x a week.. I have ordered here 8x+ the PM shift this month and all the times they have been wrong once the order was delivered or I got home and opened it to eat. I'm going to try to go in and order it and tell them step by step of what I want because maybe hearing it and doing it is more simple than reading it and doing it. There was SO MUCH SAUCE to the point that the bread is soggy, nearly no lettuce even though I requested XT LETTUCE, I had too add my own which is something I shouldn't have to do. Seven THICK CUT TOMATOES is too many tomatoes and y'all left the bit that NOBODY EATS, ALL of the meat was piled on one side, the cheese was sloppily placed and only TWO SLICES?!! It took longer to wait in the line (8:15 at night) to pickup the order than it took for me to drive to pick it up. When I say it was the worst customer service I've ever experienced, that would almost be an understatement. The workers acted like they didn't want to be there (except for one young lady). They got multiple orders wrong including mine. The cashier was very unprofessional. He made my shake, said he will be right back and started taking care of other customers while my shake is sitting out with no lid on it. Horrible customer service overall. The customer service at this location, in Matteson, has so much room for improvement. I am finding it difficult to understand why 13 minutes before the scheduled closing time, the employees have completely cut off the drive-thru system. If you want to wait 15 minutes for a sandwich that you didn't order go through the drive-thru. I've been here multiple times and they always mess up my order. My favorite shake in the world is the strawberry banana shake from potbelly until tonight. I went through the drive-through at about 9:05 PM and ordered two shakes. When I got home I realize that it was just strawberry banana milk. The shakes were extremely watery. I called to speak to a supervisor and was told she was gone for the night. Then was told that I could speak to a team leader. I waited on the line and then they hung up the phone! I called back and the young lady who answered the phone immediately stated if you want to talk to a supervisor you have to call back in the morning. I then asked if she was Samantha the young lady who took my order at the drive-through she said yes and if you want to speak to a supervisor you have to call back in the morning so I told her I will speak to corporate in the morning. Do not use their online app if you want to get in and out. They suck are not strong enough words to describe how bad the service was today. I ordered online. The first problem was they asked for 50 mins to make a salad. Next when I arrived and stood in the designated spot for people with online orders no one ever acknowledged me. Two customers checked out before I realized that I must have been wearing an invisibility cloak because still no one acknowledged me. So I got in line to inquire about my order only to find out it had not been prepared. Upon check out for food that was already paid for I had to ask for a bag and silver wear. They never offered a a Cookie for my wait or anything. Once I arrived back at work and opened my salad I realized they left the blue cheese off my salad. Then my boss found that little dried stem of avocado in her salad. She could have broken her tooth on that. She was grossed out and tossed her salad after that. What a disappointment.
