Just got off the phone with a manager named "Caroline" who hung up on me because I said my sandwich was made incorrectly and she responds "I'm pretty sure they made it correctly " but I can drive back to their location with my sandwich to have it fixed. At this point I'm already at home 15 min away this location is near my job, but there is nothing else they can do for me Once again can't make an order right and are not even apologetic, blaming their customers. I am surprised as to how long it took me to try out Jimmy John's on Lincoln Hwy. Perhaps it is because Jimmy John's in Matteson is tucked away in a plaza strip alongside Harold's chicken and America's Best Eyeglasses. Easily passable if you aren't careful to be on the lookout for it. I had the #1: Pepe sub, as well as their Jimmy Jalepeno Kettle chips in a bag. Literally as soon as the man gave me my change, the sub was wrapped and ready for the countdown from my hands to my mouth. This place isn't like Subway, where you are left with a salad on bread. Jimmy John's is very straightforward and simple; a sub is what you'll get, and chips if you'd like, on the side. Bread was amazing, the filling could have been a bit more (hence the 4 stars) but taste-wise it's spot on. One day my plans for this place is trying out the Gargantuan. Since new ownership the pricing has gone up by almost $2. Now as expensive as western burbs locations. Staff seems unmotivated with new MGMT. Previous had traffic and delivery. Do not see that on the occasions I was there for lunch. I hope the new owner did not pay too much as their return must be negative. read more

wow, if your someone who has not tried jimmy johns yet...WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?. I dont know what it is about them that makes them so damn good but damn they are good...and freaky fast. Just a good old fashioned sub sandwich....no big production, just walk in tell them your order and (no joke) by the time your done paying your food is ready. Not a freaky fast service if you order for delivery. I ordered before beginning a 30 minute lunch. My food came with 2 minutes to spare. I was disappointed because i expected to have my order having at least 10-15 minutes left. My order was correct tho. I just think they need more delivery drivers. They only have 1 at the moment. I tried Jimmy John's for the first time two days ago. We ordered from the location in Bourbonnais, IL. IT WAS GREAT! Tried the location in Matteson and found myself sorely disappointed. The bread was soft on the inside but hard on the outside and on the ends. I asked for extra mayo on one of the sandwiches and extra mayo packages. The sandwich came with very little mayo on the sandwich, barely any lettuce, and one mayo packet. I called and spoke with the Manager. That seemed to be a complete waste of time. I will never go back to this location. The staff are very rude. I asked for extra tomatoes when I ordered and than asked if there would be extra tomatoes on there. I've been to several Jimmy Johns and have to admit-this one might be my favorite-the fastest and always nice polite people working there. The number 11 is what I usually get and the damn Jimmy chips are unbeatable! I'm glad something good moved into that plaza but it needs better signage-you'd miss the place if you weren't looking for it. Very good overall. read more

I ordered 1 sandwich at 8:30pm online. Got the confirmation email at 8:35pm. Called Jimmy Johns at 8:59pm and asked if my sandwich is still coming since I know they close at 9pm. The girl who answered the phone goes "oh its on its way" She didnt even ask my name or address. I said well I only ordered 1 sandwich and I only live a mile away its a 3 minute drive. The girl says "oh he had other orders". I said ok and she hung up. Now mind you I ordered my sandwich at 8:30pm and somebody is banging on my door at 9:33pm. Customer service sucks. I went there to purchase 5 sandwiches Bt in two trips...the first 4 I ordered chips and never gave them to me...when I came back they said no then asked me for the receipt after seeing the disappointment on my face bt why ask for the receipt knowing damn well the only receipt they give u is the one with your card...& the fifth sandwich she just gave it to me as it was without a bag. Cat, the manager was EXTREMELY rude to both me and my husband. Ive never received service This bad anywhere! First, upon calling she placed me on hold three different times. She finally took the order. The driver arrived without our chips. Since we were rushing for a quick lunch, I called to let her know this was an inconvenience and we needed to be compensated. Two cookies would do when the driver returned! She says "Look honey, I'm only giving you one cookie. Which kind do you want?" I said you've inconvenienced two people! Thursday September 8th, 2016 No Star's for this one. I've gone to this Jimmy John's several times, each time I went the customer service was terrible, the vibe and atmosphere are unpleasant. If there was one closer to where I work, and live I would never go to this one. Not only are the sandwiches made sloppy, asking for extra tomato and lettuce will upset the sandwich maker. I visited this location today and was basically accused of trying to steal. I paid my $11.47 order with a $20 and only received back $5.53 and no receipt was given to me. I asked the lady to check and she had an attitude. She gave me back $8.53 and said I gave you your money but take it. I told her no, you gave me $5. I don't need $8.53 back. I gave her the $5 and she had an attitude and smirked at me like I did something wrong. I told her I would not try to scam her for $3 and I didn't need her attitude because she messed up. She should have APOLOGIZED and agreed that I only needed $3 back, not treat me like I am trying to steal from them. I visit this location all of the time and was quite put off that she treated me like I did something wrong. Calling to speak to the manager didn't help. She had an attitude as well and didn't seem to care that it happened or to offer any real apology to me. Don't waste your time or money in here as they will mess up and then try to blame you!! I am deeply offended and will probably not go there again. I'll stick to Culver's where I have had nothing but excellent treatment. read more

My colleagues and I have ordered from this location countless times and have given this Jimmy Johns a lot of our money. Today we were told that our food was going to be delivered by our lunch time. After 20 minutes into our lunch I decided to call and make sure our order didn't get lost. When I called the manager told me they were going to send our order with another person's order in another 20 minutes because she wasn't sending out two delivery drivers for the same location. So our order was going to arrive 40 minutes late after our lunch break was completely over. (We are teachers and would not be able to eat once lunch was over). I tried explaining this to the manager who proceeded to start screaming at me on the phone. I then asked for our order to be canceled and she started screaming at me some more. I realized that she was clearly not going to listen to me so I hung up the phone because she was screaming so loud that parents in the office could hear her through the phone. She then called me back a few minutes later and started screaming at me all over again for hanging up with her and at that time I once again for our order to please be canceled. She said she would cancel it but then called me back AGAIN and left a voicemail saying that she refused to refund me for my order. I have never experienced such poor customer service and definitely have not experienced a manager searching out a customer and speaking to them in such an unprofessional way. I will not be ordering from Jimmy Johns again, especially after calling cooperate office and no refund or discounts were offered to rectify the situation. read more
