Fior di latte gelato (4 people)
Anna H.

Disappointing overall, including a poorly handled allergy experience. Dined with a group of 7 on a Thursday evening The pros: busy, fun vibe and of the food we had -the milk bread and the amatriciana pasta were good The cons: the waiter recommended only the most expensive items on the menu including the $450 steak - and was quite pushy that we were under ordering (we didn't) - also got our order wrong and had to correct several items, they seemed to find it hard to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. The rest of the food we had was average considering the price - Caesar had no presence of umami and was dry / bland, branzino and porterhouse rubbery and lacked flavour, the vegetable sides (Brussels, shishito peppers) were drowned in oil and the truffle fries again lacked the punch of truffle flavour. The crudo and crispy rice we ordered and I think OK, but I didn't try. Of the desserts - carrot cake was dry, the banana cheesecake ok (needed more topping), and the gelato was nicely presented, but a huge portion of gelato with a tiny amount of toppings / sides The final thing to note was our desserts were brought out and explained as all nut free - one of our group has a nut allergy and was eating two of these desserts, when a second waiter came and added a complimentary creme brulee for her as the others contained nuts. Whilst this was a nice thought - she unfortunately had to urgently leave dinner very distressed to get medication and ensure her safety was not compromised. The staff were apologetic (and clearly this is an error in training / not the waiters fault) - however in addition to this upsetting - and potentially dangerous end to our meal - they only removed the desserts from the cheque by way of apology. I would expect more for a matter this serious. Given the standard of restaurants in New York and the experience we had, I would not recommend

Overall great experience from service to seating to apps, dinner, dessert and wine. All enjoyable. The branzino was the star for me. Highly rec. The crispy rice could have been more flavorful but maybe it's because I'm a fan of spice . The Brussels amazing and so was the beef. They have a great wine collection and highly capable Sommeliers to assist you find the perfect one.

The place is simply decorated. It gives off big but it's a decent space. The tables are pretty close to each other. Appetizers: beef quesadillas were not good. They weren't terrible or anything just a heavy salty mess with no other flavor to them. The corn tempura was delicious. I highly recommend. How they got those kernels of corn in a ball and fried it like that is genius. They had great flavor. The crispy rice with tuna was enjoyable. Light flavor and satisfying. The bao buns were dry and so was the meat in them. Avoid. The Peppers were nice. Our steak was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed it. I don't recommend the fries, they're very skinny and you don't get the satisfaction of a meaty fry. We also ordered mashed potatoes and they were very creamy. We were happy with them. Dessert: carrot cake and a chocolate individual cake. Neither was good honestly. It's avoid Dessert here. The mococktails are good.

Went here for my birthday after almost canceling due to mixed reviews and I'm so glad I didn't. The food , the drinks , the service all 10/10. It's pricy but was well worth it.

Excellent! Great vibe. Very popular. Was here for a small get together with a good friend who has been here before. This place is popular and the service is as is expected for a restaurant of this type. Wait at the bar and fight for an opportunity to have a drink. I feel bad for those who eat at the bar as people are constantly coming up behind them and getting drinks through them. Food was delicious. See pics. Standouts were: Beef Wellington Wagyu bolongese Quesadillas Seabass crudo Great place and cool vibe. Will be back!

Very cute and classy restaurant. Aesthetically pleasing but food is a lot more on the pricey side and would only recommend you go for special occasions. If you want a fine dining experience it was spot on. Staff was great from the moment you walk into the restaurant, to when you leave. Food was good but not great lack of flavor for some of the entrees. The appetizers were better.

Beefbar has a large space in the heart of Tribeca, with bouncers standing outside. It's a bit of a scene, but has the flexibility to cater to different types of patrons. There is bar seating, lounge seating, as well as a main dining room. Our group last minute requested to add 2 people to our reservation, and they were able to accommodate that. Food wise, the menu has a lot of options at various price points. They offer complimentary spiced crackers to begin. My party did not order anything from the pricier steak offerings. We stuck to the street food page and ordered many for the table to share. We got the croque sando, bao bun, Japanese milk bread, rock corn, crispy rice, and seasonal heirloom tomatoes dish. Also tried the truffle fries and jalapeño mash. Standouts for me were the croque sando, rock corn, truffle fries, and Japanese milk bread. The rock corn is prepared similarly to shrimp tempura, which was a fun take. Overall, it was a nice evening with good dishes.

My friends have been to Beefbar a few times and took me while I'm visiting. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous - great vibes, music, and interior decor. Our waitress was super pleasant and checked in on us often. Food, on the other hand, was just average at best. There wasn't a specific dish or cocktail (color of money) that blew my mind for the price. Believe it or not, I thought the best tasting ones were the strawberry cheesecake, truffle fries with pieces of truffles, and the spinach salad. My least favorite were the croque sando and the bao buns. The croque sando sauce was a bit overpowering and the beef inside tasted like tender beef jerky. It was interesting. As for bao buns, the presentation was cool with the smoke but the filling tasted like shredded beef drenched in sweet hoisin sauce for lack of better description. Wagyu burger and Wagyu bolognese were just okay.

Outstanding ambiance and service! The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and clean. I stopped in the bar area and ,while it was quite busy, I immediately got service. The staff were polite and attentive.

The food and drinks were good. They hand stuff the olives for dirty martinis. So good! Opted for a number of appetizers and then splitting the bolognese and cheesecake - next time I would definitely opt for steak. I was a little confused by how nutty they were about the dress code leading up considering some of the people we saw there. Most people were dressed to the nines but a girl at the table next to us was in an adidas track suit and we saw a whole group of guys in denim and T shirts.

We celebrated a birthday at BeefBar, and overall it turned into a wonderful night with incredible food and great service. We started with two appetizers, the Croque Sando made with dry-aged beef ribeye ham, mozzarella, and La Sauce, and the Wagyu Quesadillas filled with braised Wagyu beef, Oaxaca cheese, and black truffle. Both dishes were rich, unique, and absolutely delicious. A perfect start. For dinner, we ordered the 10oz American Wagyu filet with sides of bacon and shishito peppers, and the Wagyu Bolognese, homemade pappardelle with a Wagyu beef ragu and Parmesan. Every bite was incredible. The flavors were bold, the textures were perfect, and both dishes were cooked beautifully. Dessert was an unexpected highlight. They were out of the one dessert we wanted since my boyfriend has a nut allergy and couldn't have most of the desserts, but our waiter surprised us with two complimentary desserts in honor of the birthday celebration, such a thoughtful gesture. The only downside was our arrival. The hostess was noticeably snooty, which definitely put a damper on the excitement we had walking in, hard to imagine that still happening in 2025. Thankfully, our waiter, the ambiance, and the food turned the night around completely. In the end, it was a great birthday dinner and a well spent $500 for two.

Went here for my girlfriend birthday. First things first the location is gorgeous it's the old Nobu. I think the lounge is best to dine in on weekends for the live DJ & vibes if you're young. Now let's get to the food. They are best for small bites order from the street food section and you won't be disappointed. I think because they are a Monaco themed restaurant it's tricky to nail Italian and French at the same time but I think their Japanese and Mexican selection work well lol. I love the milk bread and wagyu quesadillas. I should have ordered double quesadillas instead of the wagyu pasta. I heard to stay away from the steak ironically so I guess it was slow stakes getting the pasta lol. Annie was a great help she was very knowledgeable and treated my girl to champagne and crème brûlée at the end of the night. I'd definitely come back to catch a vibe

Excellent Service. Beautiful space - would recommend dining in the Lounge bc of the live dj. Would recommend ordering a bunch of items of the "street food menu" - everything is so good.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt so special and full of excitement for the kids. The event itself was beautiful. The princesses were wonderful with the children, and everyone had the chance to dance, sing along, and even create Mother's Day cards together. Watching our daughter light up while interacting with the princesses truly made the day unforgettable. The desserts included with the tickets were mediocre. The entire experience created such sweet family memories that we'll cherish for a long time. We also decided to purchase the hot buffet, which included Caesar salad, mixed salad, penne alla vodka, penne with garlic & oil, chicken parm, chicken cutlet, meatballs, and sausage & peppers. The food overall was good, and there were plenty of options for everyone. The kids' drinks were complimentary, while alcohol was a separate charge. Our little princess loved her Shirley Temple with extra cherries, and I really enjoyed my Jameson and ginger ale. The Caesar salad was especially good with their homemade dressing, and the huge croutons definitely made an impression. Maybe a little over the top, but still tasty! I ended up slicing the chicken cutlet into the Caesar salad, and it was honestly phenomenal together. The chicken cutlet itself was flavorful and one of our favorite items. The penne alla vodka was also very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the chicken parm was very dry and lacked flavor. We also skipped the meatballs after being told they contained pork. In hindsight, I probably should have looked up the ingredients beforehand, but we decided to pass on them. The only downside of the experience was a misunderstanding regarding the buffet. I was approached by a waitress asking whether we had already spoken to someone about eating. I initially thought the buffet was included with our event tickets, but apparently it was separate. I must have missed that information pw, so I ended up purchasing meal tickets for my family on the spot. I just wish the interaction had been handled a little more warmly and clearly. Aside from that small issue, we genuinely had a wonderful time. The event was beautifully organized and full of joy, music, laughter, and magical moments for families. Seeing our daughter so happy made everything worth it, and it turned into such a memorable Mother's Day celebration for us all.

The steak was amazing, and all of the sides tasted fresh and were very well prepared. Gallaghers is located near Times Square, but don't let the location fool you, this is a legitimate classic New York steakhouse with great food and a lot of character. If you're visiting Manhattan and looking for a traditional, old-school NYC steakhouse experience, I would highly recommend Gallaghers. If you're looking for something trendy or ultra-modern, this probably isn't the place but that's exactly part of what makes Gallaghers special. Definitely a place I would return to on another trip to NYC.

The fried calamari was some of the best I've had tho it was observed with a little bit of cocktail sauce and a huge thing of tartar sauce. I'm sure I could have gotten more cocktail sauce, since I don't like tartar sauce, but it wasn't necessary. The calamari was so good. The lobster bisque was delicious and the picture can't show you that it was full of lobster. There was a LOT more lobster than a lobster bisque normally contains and the price was about normal for a lobster bisque with one tiny piece of lobster. The iced tea was a bit out of control. If I'm going to be charged $5 per glass of iced tea, that glass should be larger than the ones they use AND not 90% ice. That much for a glass of ice with a splash of iced tea is extreme. I'd still return, since the food was wonderful and hopefully I just got unlucky with the service.
