this was the most disgusting meal i have had in a long time. first the ambiance: horrible. similar to one of the past reviewers noted, the seat cushions looked like small children had eaten there; second, there wer dead flies and bugs all over their large windows. for gosh sake, how hard is it to clean a window! next:; i ask for a glass of chenin blanc. the waitress looked at me with not a clue in her eyes. nevermind I"ll have a glass of merlot. i ordered the cheese plate, side salad, and crab cakes. the cheese plate came with large "chunks" of cheese, dried fruit, chips, and peanuts! who serves peanuts with cheese. the chips were, and smelled like they wer made in old fryer oil. two of the cheeses were great, thanks to the cheese makers, but the restaurant was not doing them any favors. last but not least was the crab cakes. there was no crab in the crab cakes! they were a mushy mess, served with a great lime aioli, but that didnt make up for the awful, tasteless, and crabless crab cakes. I left with out finishing anything but the side salad. Went to gardinas not to far from becketts and had a great glass of wine and lobster dip, made with Lobster, can u believe it! it was awesome! sorry i didn't go there for dinnet! read more

Becket's - mushy, flat, crabless, crabcake "pancakes". just nasty! - New American Near Me - Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Never again. Waited almost an hour for our food and when it finally came out my entree was wrong and my husbands looked like a black hockey puck; supposed to be steak. We drove about a half hour to get there, such a huge huge disappointment. We ended up just walking out, which I never have done before. Never again. read more

Went there for dinner for the first time. Bad idea. Service was bad and very slow. My food came to me rare. TACO BELL GIVES ME BETTER SERVICE AND FOOD!! For the price, it didn't even come close to my expectations. Maybe they should invest in some new sheets of paper for a wine list so the waiter doesn't have to look through 3 binders to get a complete wine list. Don't think I'll make it back and I hope all of you save the time and money by going somewhere else. read more

The food was disappointing, under or over cooked. My wife took one bite and stopped for good. A portly member of the kitchen wandered outside the kitchen wearing a white apron that was food-stained. Won't return. read more

Great spot to hit on a nice night. Came here on a business trip and enjoyed a few locals on the Fix River, food was also good!

Huge fan of happy hour here. A few friends of mine work in the same building for different companies and is the perfect place to meet for a Friday happy hour. They have good drink specials, and 1/2 off appitizers!! What more could you ask for. read more

I had the Halibut and my wife had the prime rib. Prime rib was tastes but medium to well done although ordered medium rare. Halibut was good but dry. We had crab cakes and seared ahi tuna. Both were good. Waitress was cheery but overall service was a bit slow. We sat on the deck overlooking the water which was nice but listening to the cars driving over the bridge was annoying. It's worth checking out, as we have had great meals from here. read more

Had a wedding dinner/reception there last night. To begin with the wedding party was late so dinner was served late. Our food arrived and there were mashed potatoes. No butter. When asked where the butter was the server replied that there wasn't any. He would not get us any. The other food was all ice cold. Told servers and they just replied sorry about that. No effort to change anything. In their defense the wedding was later than expected. I asked other tables including wedding party and their food was cold as well. No bread served either with meal. Won't be back. read more

Iwas very disapointed with my meal. The salmon sandwich was ground up salmon. The bun was on the stale side. The bun was so doughy. The fries were not crisp. For $15, I coud have gone to McDonalds for a better meal. Going to think twice aboutoing back. read more

I called to inquire about reservations and the hostess that answered the phone was rude and short. This should have been our first clue, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the clam chowder soup and a different soup was brought to me. By the time the waitress came back to see how things were our main course was ready, so I never did get what I wanted. I ordered the jalapeño crusted chicken breast over rice. It was very dry and not much flavor. My husband ordered the tuna and it was also very dry. The asparagus was mushy and again had no flavor. We also witnessed a man that appeared to be management or the owner get himself a soda at the bar while patrons were waiting to get a drink. This place has such potential for being a great restaurant, but they definitely need some work in all areas. Our waitress I must say was polite and upbeat. We told her about our concerns and she offered a free dessert, but did mention that others complained about the same things we did that night. read more

A very modern setting with a very good selection of drinks and wines. The food is good though old timers will say it has a smaller selection of excellent food than did the Water City Grill. However, as local institutions go it is one of our best. read more

We love Becket's! The atmosphere is one of the best you'll find in Oshkosh. They have a great menu and offer fantastic specials during the week. Would highly recommend the crab cakes and chicken tenders from the appetizer menu. Grown up grilled cheese and the burgers are great if you're in the mood for a sandwich. Always ask what their dinner specials are and be sure to check out the seasonal vegetables and the potato croquette for sides! read more

First time to Beckets was very surprised! The food was very good I had prosciutto wrapped halibut with fresh roasted asparagus and cherry tomatoes, also had the clam chowder was very good! My husband had the raspberry balsamic glazed salmon and asparagus, also had a salad he said was very good, I tasted the salmon was delicious! I was a little disappointed that we had to sit in the side dining room since it was our first time! The main dining room look lovely! I have to say we had an awesome waiter!!! His name was Kenneth, and he was quick, very happy, and very informative, made our experience extremely pleasant. The desserts were very good also, I had creme brûlée awesome and my husband had NY cheese cake with caramel drizzle was very good. Also being it was valentines day they gave all of the women red roses at the end of there dinners, very nice touch. Good experience. C Novo Omro Wi read more

Love this place. The food, the drinks, and the atmosphere are all amazing. It's refreshing to get good service in this town too. Sit outside on the patio by the river and enjoy the view. read more

We came to your Sunday Breakfast Buffet and I can honestly say we will be back. What a wonderful display was there to choose. Let me remark about the eggs benedict. The best I have even had in my life!! The yolk was just slightly runny (perfect medium) and the hollandaise on top was supberb. Nicely toasted muffin.Breakfast potatoes were so good, I had three helpings. Omlets made to order and the chef brings it to your table when it is done. Servers were right on top of everything and so pleasant. We wanted for nothing. You have a river view from every table and the ambience is everywhere. I can't say enough about this restaurant. Try it and you will be back. Wonderful, wonderful establishment. First Class but casual at the same time. read more

Beware, This place is is all around badnews. Started out as I opened my linen napkin to find what looked like a wad of dried snott. When I asked for a new one the waiter gave me a fowl look. That should have been my que to get up and leave. The chairs were soiled and it felt like I was sitting on a nail. I ordered an appetizer, my son the Tortilini,(for$13.00) they brought him lasagna and got an attitude when I insisted on the correct order. They brought it out within 2 minutes it was cold and runny. My dish (for $10.00) consisted of 3 medium shrimp and 1 undercooked scallop. The flies swarming around only added to my cozy experience (we ate inside). The waiter never returned with the check, maybe he was out looking for a belt ! Needless to say my bill was $24.95 and we had to go through the Hardees drive thru so we would not starve. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

Unique and upscale menu. Lots of variety in bar and food menu. My husband had the lamb, which he loved. I really liked my crabcakes. Ambiance (inside) is dark, beautiful, and romantic. Would definitely recommend stopping here. read more

I had their Mako Shark special a couple weeks ago and it was awesome. Great service, highly recommend.

we had a gift certificate, so we decided to try it. decor was nice, but the resturant was filthy. which makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. our server was nice and service was prompt, but the food was horrific. if we would have been paying for the dinner i would have complained. which is something i have never done at a resturant. Our first clue to it being a bad resturant should have been having 3 seated tables at 6 on a friday night., and we were one of them. then my 20 year class reunion was held there. i payed $50 for my wife and i to have dinner there. no drinks were included in the price. it was italian.... the noodles were mush, the chicken was dry and bland, and the cheese tortellini was gross. the only upside was the garlic bread and the marinara. overall i was dissapointed again. and as luck would have it, my wife got another $50 gift certificate last week. i will be trying to sell it for $10 to somone who needs dog food. read more

TERRIBLE. First off let me start of by telling you that it will be far more worth your dollar to go to either Fratello's or Ground Round on the river just down the way from Beckets. Now...let me just say for decent food/ beverages, Beckets would get 3 stars out of 5. But as for their staff, hospitality, and customer service, they would get 0 stars and that is being generous. We had a incident where we were charged more than what we should have been charged on our bill. First our waitress was rude and would not fix the problem, and then when we called after leaving to speak with a manager, the manager Dylan Stolley was a total JERK. I am not kidding if you have a complaint, ask for the owner Kris or Mike because they will at least be willing to work with you and apologize sincerely if not fix the problem its self. After this "manager" Dylan argued with me for about 5 minutes he offered me a 5 dollar gift card. 5 dollars. That would not have been enough to cover half of anything on their menu. This place is a joke. Its over priced, the staff is rude, and the customer service is terrible, dont waste your money, about the only thing they have going for them is thier building and location. It was pathetic to say the least the way they handled us and our business, and after everything was all said and done it was clear that they didnt care if we ever came back or not. read more

In order to use the Center Court Venue, one must book thru Becket's. The area is shabby and filthy. While we were setting up for my friend's beautiful Gatsby themed wedding this past Saturday,I had to sweep the floor and scrub off sticky stains. The bathrooms smelled like a barnyard. The area is not secure with public and Eastbay employees wandering randomly thru. The floor lighting cords are covered by filthy commercial rugs. we dragged a clean rung out of the restaurant and pulled a dirty one off of these exposed cords...such a safety hazard. The waitstaff, and bartenders were fabulous. My food, a sirloin plated dinner, was tough and the potatoes were undercooked for a few of us. To top off a beautiful wedding night, forty dollars had been stolen from my purse which was with all of the other wedding parties' stuff in the side dressing room. I hope this helps others from not leaving stuff in that dressing room. The venue needs serious attention and upgrading, and at those prices it's a crime it's not getting done. As an event planner for a local non-profit, I would never consider using this venue for an event. read more

I was there tonight with a group of Co-workers. I ordered the Battered Cod, the waitress brought me Walleye, I told her that wasn't what I ordered. She then went to give it to the person that did order it and had what I ordered. She then was going to give me the plate as he said he cut off where he ate. I said, No - I don't want that. She then said she would put in a rush and get me what I ordered. She brought my plate and again was not what I ordered, it was baked. Ok, Everyone is done eating, I am hungry just leave it. Then I realize that she has coleslaw on my plate and my fish is swimming in the coleslaw juice. I am allergic to Mayonaise. I ordered French Fries, which I got too, swimming in the Coleslaw juice. She NEVER came back to see if I was ok, if I needed anything. She could see my plate was not touched. When she came back to fill waters some time much later, a co-worker said, She should get a Free dessert. She said, YES, we will do something for her. Three of us got up to use the restroom and pretty soon after we got back, dessert is being served, Never asked us 3 if we wanted something. We all asked if we could order something? Guess what, they charged for my desert. It was a very disappointing diner. Unbelievable! read more
