I just moved here recently, and was so relieved to find a reliable place to get my eyebrows done. Usually I go every two weeks. While there, I met Kim, who did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. They've been crooked for some time now, but she managed to fix them for me! I always feel so confident after I get them done. Every time I go, the staff are so kind to me, and they always remember the names of their clientele. I always feel very welcome. Today I got my eyebrows done, and had a manicure to clean up my nails. Not only do the results look fantastic, but I left feeling so light and happy after having such a friendly conversation with Kim. I have been going to Beautiful Nails for many years for both manicures and pedicures. They have always done a fantastic job and were reasonably priced. The salon is now under new management with new nail technicians, and much higher prices. If you are a walk-in, you are likely to get one of the newer techs and they do not do as good a job as the techs who have been at the salon for years. I recommend making an appointment in advance and locking in with Yvonne, Kim or Jackie. Otherwise, you may leave disappointed as I have for the past few visits. read more

I've been continuing to visit this salon, due to the reason I mentioned in my first review: the prices are the best in the area, and though I could pay higher, I'd be getting the same quality experience. So Beautiful Nails has become my manicure/pedicure/waxing salon of choice. Nina is the best and I always book an appointment with her (I can tell you who not to see as well). Yvonne (I think that is her name) is also very good. It is best to book appointments here, because they get so busy. In fact, if they are doing a walk-in, and their appointment shows up, the nail techs here leave the walk-in to work on the appointment. Or if you are not a regular customer and you have an appointment, but the regular with an appointment shows up, they will also leave you to work on the regular customer. So customer service can be a bit of an issue here. Nail polish colors are OK, I can usually find one that I want, but I prefer to bring my own. Organization of colors is not good, but probably because they are so busy. Pedicures ($19) here are the best - the dead skin is scraped of your feet. My feet have never been so soft, and they stay smooth for weeks with regular, at-home maintenance (a pumice stone daily). Even if you wear heels like I do, your feet stay smooth. Both manicures and pedicures have been long-lasting, and the waxing is fine. However, I will not get my brows waxed here because they do not understand "Keep them thick, I just want them cleaned up." If they could wax my brows correctly and there was not a customer service issue, I would give 5 stars. However, I will continue to return to Beautiful Nails because of the great pedis and great prices. read more

I am sad to say that I will not be able to return to Beautiful Nails again, I tried to give them every opportunity to win my business but after my last nail set it is clear that they just don't cut it. After going there for several "fills" in the past I already knew they by their own omission do not know how to fill correctly on a pink and white. So with that being said I told them up front that I wanted a new set, the girl started soaking my nails off but rather than work to take them off like most she played on her phone most of the time and kept running to the back. I picked most of them off myself just so I could hurry this process along. She then started on my nails I asked her what she was better at applying "pink and while gel or acrylic tips" she said acrylic tips as she does this all the time. I haven't had acrylic tips for years as I prefer the pink and white but I was limited on time and thought what the hey, besides she said they are cheaper. Well I was not pleased with how they looked once she was done, the white tips are entirely too long because she put them in the middle of my nail bed. They the nails have started to lift after only four days and she charged me $45. I could have gone just about any place in town and got a perfect set of pink and white for $50 if not cheaper. I hate that I have to report such things about this salon, they are close, within walking distance to my place the prices are usually good but I don't think I am like anyone else when I say I would rather pay more for pretty nails and better customer service and Beautiful nails has neither. read more

Even though this place has bad reviews I wanted to give it a shot only because it's literally 2 mins away from my apartment. I was instantly greeted when I came in. It was pretty empty with only 2 other customers. I immediately choose my nail color. My pedicure session was well paced, and the lady who took care of me was exceptional. I got a powder dip mani and regular pedi, by two different techs. The tech who did my pedi was careless, rough, and unfriendly. The paint job is messy, no better than I could do myself at home. My mani tech was much more personable and put more effort into her work. The mani is not great, but decent. The salon, however, is not well kept. Dirty floors that look like they never get swept or mopped, mismatched furniture covered in lots of...splatters. This is a full length review and honest consideration of this salon: I have been to this past nail salon for three years, with my mother when she started going and I got my first pedicure here. I was always happy with the consistent service and the way they would perfectly do my manicure and pedicures 100% of the time, until June 1, 2018. That Friday was a little busy, but I didn't mind waiting. It only took three minutes for me to get started on with my regular pedicure. I was helped by a girl who had never worked on me before (I've gotten my nails done from Kim to everyone in that place) but I thought this girl amongst three other ones, were new. I wanted my acrylics removed and a regular pedicure. (The pedicure was okay, just wish it had another coat of color) The removal of my acrylics was the worst part. I didn't mind being patient due to the tools not working properly but my right index finger was bleeding after being filed so hard. (And the tissue underneath was exposed) The girl atleast asked if I was okay, apologized and asked if I needed some alcohol wipes to remove the blood but all and all, I sort of regret that decision into coming here. I did give her a $5 tip for atleast trying to help be and for her friendly service.. but I might not be back at this place, my nail never since has been throbbing like crazy. read more

Came here over the weekend to get a pedicure. That was a pleasant experience so I came back a few days later to get a fresh full set (acrylic) and to get my eyebrows done..... Nails- Mediocre job at best. Eyebrows- I've definitely had better but no real complaints. The 2 stars is because 5 of my nails literally popped off 2 days later. All the nails on my right hand just came off as if they were press ons. They didn't break or crack or chip, they literally just came right off. So I went back and handed all 5 nails to a technician and asked them to redo my right hand. They did (no charge, which is why they were able to get 2 stars). However, I still have to go home and remove the extra glue and polish left around my fingers. I'm really bad at getting names but I had to do the same thing the first time as well. update: Got home and 2 nails off the left hand popped off! Went back to the salon the same lady who fixed my right hand decided to just redo my entire left hand. The customer service was much better... I appreciate her fixing my nails. But because its so cheap, you might have to wait so I suggest that you make an appoint or go early in the morning. Don't try to come on a Friday and get upset because you couldn't get in for a cheap quickie. That would be your fault for having those expectations! I'm a polish crack addict so I love that I can have an inexpensive place to run to to get a quick pampering in. I bring my own colors and top coat. So I really don't have any issues. My first time going there, the man who did my nails asked me to pay before he did them, when no one else was asked, and he did a horrible job. The manicure started to chip away after two days. The second time, a young girl did mine and they were wonderful. And my final visit there, the same man from my first visit put me in the pedicure chair, with my feet in cold water for 20 minutes before I asked him if he was going to turn the machine on. Worst nail salon in the DMV area. I got tips and a spa pedicure. First of all, the spa pedicure was a waste of money. They claimed to give massages for that but all she did was rub the lotion in once. Ive been to other places where they spend 15-20 minutes on just massaging your legs and feet for a spa pedicure.
