A nice surprise on a business trip. Sean, the server, was friendly and knowledgable regarding the menu. Started off the meal with a local Great Lakes Brewing (Cleveland) Dortmunder brew.. Very crisp and clean tasting. Also had a salad with white French dressing, a house specialty. Sean and I agreed that, while potentially a bad idea, drinking this dressing by the glass is not out of the question. Turns out that they have fresh fish delivered daily here.. A present surprise. The walleye was prepared perfectly.. Moist, flavorful and delicious! Steamed veggies on the side were fresh tasting and not overbooked. In general a good dining experience .. We go to beaus about 2-4 times a month. Definitely one of my favorites. The bad reviews on here are from people who don't know what to order. My favorites are the Ahi Tuna, Mozz Sticks (they're amazing), chicken lettuce wraps, halibut, steak, wedge salad, and chicken parm! Everything is good here. I have never had a bad meal! We just hosted my parents 50th anniversary party here on 9-22-18 in the patio/dining room which was reserved for us. It was an absolute perfect evening. The service was very good, as was the salmon blt, but everything my parents ordered came out incorrect. By incorrect I mean the ingredients in it didn't match what the menu listed. This is dangerous as they have health issues. Our waitress was great and took everything back and apologized, but it wasn't her fault, it was the kitchens mistake. Even the replacement meal we ordered didn't match the menu description. There were also loud men drinking in the bar that the staff would not quiet down. Not bad but poorly run. I ordered my food to go. The staff was amazing. I ordered a chicken sandwich. It was burned and a very fatty piece of chicken. The fries were soggy. The New England clam chowder saved the meal. Overall I will pass in future visits. read more

Beware the Breakfast Buffet if you are sensative to sodium. The breakfast meats and the Salmon are laced with MSG. I dine out often and have never walked away from a high end resturant with such a Sodium headache. When I inquired they admitted that MSG is heavy on the menu. read more

had dinner at beau's last night with some colleagues and was majorly disappointed after hearing only good things. this was very mediocre. i ordered the ravioli trio (red pepper and smoked mozzarella, cremini mushrooms and fontina goat cheese and black pepper with a vodka tomato cream sauce) and a side salad with vinegar and oil dressing. the salad was the typical bagged spring mix and apparently no one orders simple vinegar and oil because she brought me out bottles, likely used by the kitchen, of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. weird, but fine. the ravioli was sooooo disappointing. it was a huge bowl of sauce. i couldn't even see the ravioli swimming in the lake of pink sauce let alone distinguish which was which. they were clumped and stuck together - maybe the sauce was a way of hiding that - and they were very bland. for $17.95 i was extremely disappointed and very underwhelmed. judging from the lackluster meals ordered my coworkers and the price of our bill it's very safe to say that beau's is way overpriced, though i guess it is in a hotel and that is what hotel restaurants do. i also found it quite strange that a framed photograph of the chef was hanging over the bar. i can only hope he wasn't in the kitchen last night. read more

Many years ago when Beau's was in the Fairlawn Towne Center, we were seated then ignored for 20 minutes. I had to ask for a server to come to our table. On our recent trip, the exact same thing happened. The pancetta encrusted walleye I ordered was a bit soggy; the accompanying side dishes were delicious. My fellow diners were more positive about their dishes, but not much. Not much value for the price. Update, 8/18/15: My son met a friend for lunch and reported the same level of service. I don't think that, at this price point, you should have to ask for someone to wait on your table. He liked the food more than I did, though. read more

Was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. The white French dressing on the salad was the best I have ever had. We were too full to order dessert, the portions were more then ample, most of the people in our group landed up taking some home. An underrated gem. A lot of hotels just a have a restaurant for tired travelers convenience but this place is unique and always yummy. I find it enjoyable that they have everything from salads and sandwiches to a little more expensive entrees so we can use this place for any night or for a treat/ special occasion. The fried green tomato appetizer isn't just fried green tomatoes they build a piece of art with carefully paired flavors with plenty of fresh veggie crunch to cut through the fried part. read more

Stayed in the hotel and was looking around the area. I usually try to eat at a place away from where I stay. Saw the outside eating area and decided on a warm summer eve it was just what I was looking for. I chose the burger for dinner and had eggs Benedict for breakfast the next morning. Both were excellent. I travel a lot. The burger was in my top ten. The eggs Benedict and fantastic fresh fruit were the best I've had anywhere. Service was also very good. Price was a value for the quality of the meals I had. If I lived in the area, I would overlook the fact that it's attached to a hotel and frequent this very nice restaurant often. read more

One has to fight the old adage about not eating where one sleeps, as Beau's is nestled in the Hilton Inn; but fight it one should! We stopped for lunch. Before the main meal, two styles of ciabatta rolls were served, one multi-grained and seeded, and the other white. They were good enough to merit a second serving! The lady got a chopped steak plate with mashed potatoes, green peppers and onions. The dish was served swimming in au jus to the extent that one marveled that it arrived on the plate after the walk from the kitchen. She was quite pleased with all the components of the dish. I ordered their beef stir fry which was both on the daily specials page as well as the menu proper, the only difference being one was spicy and one was not. I wasn't sure which one I ordered, but what came was the non-spicy version. When she asked how I wanted the steak done, I inquired about the cut being served and when she said "filet", medium-rare came out as quickly as an inmate retrieving soap in the shower. My stir-fry was excellent. The sauce was flavorful, the veggies nicely done and the steak was perfect. True to stir-fry genre it was cut pieces of what I assume to have been the trimmings from butchering a whole tenderloin into filets. It's genius using them in a stir-fry, as so often it is wasted in the form of ground meat; and there was a whole lotta filet served in this dish. My first dozen bites or so all had meat, and none was purposely engineered to be so by the diner. I'm a card-carrying/founding member of the Clean Plate Club, and nonetheless I ended up taking half of the dish home. I was full and my jaw was tired from all the chewing,(not to infer the meat was in the least bit chewy!) For $14.95, this dish was a steal! There was more meat here than I've had in purportedly 8 ounce filets! But do me a favor and ignore this review, as too many diners may mean more sparse portions of stir-fry filet! I had given it 2 stars after my last visit, but after I voiced my displeasure about my experience Beau's went out of their way to correct the problem. They have been great the few times I went before this so I think my last visit was an exception. As for the restaurant it is a nice place to have dinner and in the summer the patio is a great place to enjoy a meal. It has formal feel but not over the top and usually is pretty quiet. They have a nice menu with some great dishes. Also they have a nice wine list. If you are staying at the Hilton you can't beat the convenience. I would recommend giving Beau's a try. read more

Went here with my boyfriend's family 2 weekends ago and although the ambiance was great and everything looked clean, the hostess had no clue where the reservation was. They had to hurry up and put a table together for us. We wanted to eat brunch on the patio which was the entire purpose of going and of course it wasn't open. Our server was great except that another server had taken my food and I was almost given something that clearly was not mine (and I'm a vegetarian with food allergies). This mistake took about 10 min to fix so the kitchen could get me the correct food and personally, I think it should have been taken off the bill. I think we're supposed to go back in a few months when we return however, I'm a bit reluctant. read more

I just recently ate at Beau's for the first time with a group 6 colleagues for lunch and was pretty pleased with the whole experience. Our waiter was cordial and frequented our table enough to keep our glasses filled and any requests we had. The food was average to slightly above average; some of us ordered the salmon, chicken parmesan, chicken stir fry and burgers. The environment of the restaurant was fairly nice where business formal attire or a pair of dark jeans and button-up shirt would be appropriate. Overall, it was a fairly decent lunch experience. I have been to Beau's many times. I have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and never been disappointed. The tuna tower is awesome, and everything I have had is good. Beau's provides decent food for the Akron dining area, but it does not rise to anything special. The restaurant is acceptable and the food is okay, but nothing great to want to make me return again. I had the walleye and it was a little soggy; definitely the crisp texture that I would expect from a crusted walleye dish. The service was rather slow considering the dining room was not packed. For the price, I would prefer to drive to Tremont or Chagrin Falls for dinner. Beau's is definitely a step above the norm for Akron dining, but not enough to justify returning. read more

Beau's is the best Happy Hour in the Bath/Fairlawn/Montrose area. We have visited most of them. The Martinis are awesome and addictive, especially when made by Barrett, our favorite Bartender of all time! The food is tasty, especially the Hummus, which tastes homemade and is very light when combined with the vegetables like celery, carrots and cucumbers. After that healthy dose, one can be more adventurous with the cheeseburger, giant wedge salad, world class potato chips and pizza. We attend 2 places each week --- Church & Beau's! read more

It was my first time visiting this place. We came for a work lunch meeting and I picked it for the upscale look and feel along with the large menu they had available. I was not very impressed with the food or service. Their side salad was bagged lettuce thrown on a plate with a few croutons. They also forgot 2 out of the 7 entrees at the table. We were a party of 4 last night. 2 of us had the sauteed flounder. Absolutely delicious! One of the best fish dishes I've had. Another had chicken w/ pasta and artichokes. My wife had stuffed peppers. Out of sight! All of us had the clam chowder. It was perfect, Loaded with clams. We only go a few times a year. It's always been great. 14,400 seconds........ Seems like a big number, huh? You're right, it is..... What does it mean? It's the length of time for our recent "dining experience" at Beau's this past weekend. 4hrs!!!!! I don't know if it was a scheme to wear us out so that we'd think about getting a room for the night at the Hilton because of how weak we were from this dining debacle. Mediocre service! No manager apologies! Someone could have checked on us. We were practically the last patrons in the restaurant at nights end. The reason was a new computer system? I guess they were out of paper and writing utensils too. Or possibly went live with that new computer system during our dinner, never seeing it before in their lives that night? Next time you think of dining at Beau's in the future, be sure to call them after you wake up in the morning to place your order so that it'll be ready by the time you need it to be in the evening. I wish I had more hands so I can give this place 4 thumbs down!!! read more

Extremely unprofessional and not how you run a business. I made reservations 3 weeks ago for dinner tonight for out of town guests. Had to make an adjustment to increase the party number 3 days ago and this change was happily made. However 8hrs before dinner I received a call saying they out not open for dinner so our reservation was cancelled. Nice that they call but 1) this reservation should have NEVER have been accepted if they were closed 2) they should have NEVER allowed me to adjust it without informing they were closed and 3) they sHould have not waited until THE DAY of the Reservation to inform they were closed. I will no longer do business with them whether it's for personal or business. It's a shame as they have pretty good food but there are plenty of other restaurants around. Lastly I have a gift certificate that they gave me and my business due to the $$$ we spend that that expires on 12/31 that will now go to waste read more

I went to Beau's after reading several good reviews. However, after my breakfast experience with them this morning I will NOT be going there again. Aside from small mistakes that could be overlooked (They forgot to bring out my sidedish, the waiter had an attitude problem, and they brought out the check at the same time they gave us our food--a bit rude in my opinion), I noticed halfway through my meal that my date's toast had MOLD on it!!! EEWWWWW!!! I thought this was an upscale restaurant. I just hope we don't get sick :-( read more

My first time there. Fantastic! I got the cod and pilaf for lunch. One of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. The sear was perfect, the fish was light and tasty, and the pilaf was blended to a unique taste. Business lunch today, but dinner with the wife is definitely on the board.
