Chicken fresh from the grill
Robert S.

My wife and I attended their soft opening this past weekend and we did enjoy ourselves. I would like to give the good and the bad. Our server was absolutely amazing, respectful of our time and went at a slow pace as we requested. Our drinks were top notch and delicious. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for our appetizer(no picture) and they were some of the best ones we have ever eaten. For main course my wife ordered the grilled chicken and I ordered the basket which you could choose between fish or shrimp. I chose shrimp. The chicken was good along with the corn on the cob and mashed potatoes, however my wife felt like it was a lot smaller portion than what we saw at other tables who ate earlier. My shrimp were ok they were over cooked as they were a little chewy and my fries were tasteless. The coleslaw was very yummy. The side salads were pretty lackluster and the orange that you see in the picture was them adding cheese on our request. Yeah they need a little help. With that being said they tasted good and the white French dressing was delicious. Some issues that we had, but I understand it was just a soft opening, but felt they should know. 1. One of the owners came over and grabbed my wife's salad bowl that was still in front of her with a fork in the bowl and salad still left and took it without asking if she was done. 2. One of the servers came and took our appetizer plates with our silverware on it and this was even before our food came out. He did ask but didn't ask if we wanted to take our silverware. So he had to bring us more. They were super quick to grab drink glasses but never came and took my red solo cup drink. Nothing wrong with that just weird. Their dessert was limited and we had the key lime cheesecake. It was very lackluster as well and wasn't a very large portion. We also quickly noticed they were not very good at slowly bring appetizers. And then a salad and then the main course. They were pushing it out quickly. We got ours slow because we waited between ordering appetizer and dinner and we told our server we wanted it slow. Some people like it fast like that. I want to enjoy my dinner and time out. So many places I feel like they rush you through in 45 minutes it is just not enjoyable Overall we liked the place, the food and the service. We understand there will be some growing pains and so happy to have another original place to eat at in the lakes. We will be going back and hopefully some of these inconsistencies will be ironed out

Meh. You pay for the atmosphere. The food is average and the prices are above average.

The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back. This was very good on a day where we stopped at 3 places and this happened to be the last.

Instead of apologizing, our server simply asked if I wanted them to take it back and cook it longer. When the replacement steak was brought out by the manager, she also failed to apologize or acknowledge the mistake. Throughout the entire situation, not one employee apologized for serving the wrong meal, which made us feel like our experience didn't matter. To make matters worse, I specifically noted on my reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. No one acknowledged it, congratulated us, or made any effort to recognize the occasion. Meanwhile, the table next to us was congratulated on their anniversary, which made us feel completely overlooked. We were also initially seated at a four-top even though there were only two of us, making the seating feel awkward and uncomfortable. We had to ask to be moved to a booth ourselves. Our server came across as annoyed and lacked the warmth and attentiveness you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The final straw was when a menu was accidentally dropped on top of my head from behind our booth, apparently where they store their menus. No one acknowledged it or apologized, which felt both careless and unprofessional. As for the restaurant itself, I honestly found it to be pretty mediocre. The dining room has a beautiful atmosphere, but that's about the only thing it has going for it. The food simply didn't live up to the reputation or the prices. I've had better steaks and better service at Texas Roadhouse, which says a lot considering the difference in price point. Mistakes happen, but what really ruined the experience was the complete lack of accountability and basic hospitality. No apologies, no acknowledgment of our anniversary, and no effort to make things right. Unfortunately, this was not the anniversary dinner we were hoping for, and I don't see myself returning

I ok with that but not everyone wants steak. They had no choices for chicken or fish. The service was good at best , because the people who came in afterwards were served their food and on the way out and we had not been served food yet. I did see on the menu that they had banana fosters. That a joke it was bread pudding with ice cream on top and 3 slices of banana . I told the server this is anything but bananas foster and I felt insulted. She immediately took it off the bill. To which then I explained to her what bananas foster really was and she said it sounded good. She's never heard of it. Also I ordered mashed potatoes and I was told it was not up to standard and I have to make a second choice.. I will try to celebrate with my wife my 73 birthday with a nice dinner . The bill was over 200. And my did not get a steak, just a salad and soup. Not happy.

Unfortunately, the rest of the visit fell flat. My cocktail was way too sweet. And at $21, your drink should be perfect. And the bartender had no intention of building any kind of rapport, bordering on rude. The food was decent, but overpriced. Needless to say, I will not be going back and do not recommend this restaurant.

It was early on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty but the large bar area was crowded. Before we left a large party arrived and a few more tables filled but it was not too crowded. We were told the ingredients for our cocktails were not available due to a large party the previous night then waited 30 min for the oysters Rockefeller, which were overcooked. I tried the ribs that seemed to be reheated and we got the smoked chicken that was pretty good. The grilled potatoes were raw inside and the greens were undercooked and lacked any flavor. Prices were a little high for the quality of the food. Overall the staff were great, the restaurant was nice but the food was not great.

The service was great, very attentive. The mixed cocktails were excellent. When you think golf course, you have to remember this is Akron and this place is on the edge of a neighborhood. It was nice enough for the enjoyable dinner we had for decent prices. Again the service was on point and the cocktails rocked. Bonus for having vegetarian options. I look forward to returning and enjoying the patio that over looks the golf course. They also set up a few weekly events so be prepared to see an artist preform on a random night.

One minor gripe: the mac and cheese is a little one-note. It's not bad, it just doesn't surprise you. Our service was amazing and the drinks and food came quickly - we didn't need anything ever (which is a remarkable feat for a table of that size!). Seriously kudos to the wait staff - best service I've had in years. Food is always great at Crave as well. We started with salads and the steak skewers which are jam packed with spice and flavor. My husband loved his smoked Gouda Mac and cheese with crispy chicken on top. He tried so hard to save some for leftovers but ended up not being able to. I had the salmon which was perfect medium and had a really good Asian sauce with it accompanied by rice and veggies which were also cooked to perfection. We were lucky to have a back room so we had a little more privacy which was nice but the restaurant was packed for a Saturday night so I'd recommend a reservation for sure. Another thing that was nice - $7 valet parking. Super convenient and cheap!
