A couple of weeks ago I found out about this type of "THICK" pizza crust. I had told my husband. Since moving here four yrs. ago, I've never found a pizza place I've wanted to return to. After recently finding out about this 'Super Thick Colorado Crust' pizza I was curious. Last week we ordered a 'medium' 3 lb. pie.... We choose the house sauce. (It's DELICIOUS, a bit of a spicy kick) We also added: Sausage, pepperoni, & extra mozzarella. It was $45. Ready in 30 min. exactly when we pulled up. Nice place. Clean. They were so polite. Recommended we take some honey to drizzle on the thick crust. That pizza box didn't stay closed out of their parking lot! (It smelled so good) First Impression: Their sauce. Spicy & flavorful. (My husband does wants to try their plain marinara next time) They DO NOT skimp on their toppings. There was sausage, pepperoni, & cheese EVERYWHERE **Remember napkins!! So we were discussing this pizza not minding the traffic at all coming home. The crust was amazing. Yes, they are correct. Add a drizzle of honey. This pizza fed 5 people. Literally. We all ate. Back in Boulder in 1983ish, I had my first- Bo Joe's pizza. The ingredients were excellent, but I wasn't a real big fan of the extra thick crust. As most everybody, when I wanted a pizza it was maybe one of the specialty pizza shops in the neighborhood, or either Pizza Hut or Domino's in a pinch. The other day I decided to order from Beau Jo's again. I hadn't realized that they actually had a flat crust pizza. So for $20 ($24. With 2 toppings). I ordered my medium pizza with pepperoni and Canadian bacon through Uber Eats. I can't say anything great about the delivery time, which was extended, but I realized, after only one slice, that I would never order from another pizzeria. I'd say to anybody who's sick of spending $20 +++ on a medium or a large "assembly line" pizza at one of the conglomerate pizza franchises, to instead, order one of Beau Jo's flat crust pizzas. I think you'll find, as I did, you will have found the best pizza, and from a home grown company. I stopped in here for lunch. I had been to the one in Evergreen so I was excited to have one closer. This place is different than the others, but fortunately it's the same great pizza. Instead of sitting down and being served, you order at the counter like fast food places and pick a number. The number goes on your table so the cashier knows where to serve your order. When I went there it was the store manager at the register so he ended up bringing out my food. The meal was timely and delicious. He was also attentive to make sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my lunch. TIP: Because the cashier does everything but come to your table initially to take your order, I recommend you add a tip to the bill, like you'd tip a server, when they turn the computer around to get your credit card signature. read more

My last visit here the manager was so rude that we walked out. Not knowing what happened on my last visit, the two gentleman working today were very pleasant and helpful. I tried the unrolled pizza and it just wasn't as good as the rolled. No one's fault but mine as I wanted to try it. We ordered the hamburger and mushroom on the prairie crust. Ordered the pizza delivered. It was decent, better than chains. Crust is a little heavy. They have a "mountain" crust which has a wide, thicker edge or a "plains" crust which is a thin, narrow edge. I went with the plains which was still plenty of crust. The other would be better if you like dipping bread sticks. Toppings are plentiful. Sauce is tangy. Overall it was a decent pizza. It's Beau Jo's, so there's a bit of excitement and nostalgia that comes in anticipation. That being said, this location left a lot to be desired. They market it as "Beau Jo's 2 Go" and for good reason. The space looks nothing like the Beau Jo's that we know as a fun destination spot to stop on the way to/from the mountains. There are a few tables to eat inside (maybe 10?) and about the same outside on the patio -- which is just a fenced in area next to the parking lot. The vibe is nothing like the mountain Beau Jo's and feels like a cheap strip mall joint. The pizza is good, but something about missing that vibe makes it hard to pay $50 for a couple pizzas to feed my small family of 4. We probably won't be back to this location, sadly, but we do love Beau Jo's! read more

Terrific lunch here today on my first visit. The Beau Jo's 2 Go is a new concept to me. This place is small, just a few tables inside and a few outside, and mostly does take out business, but you CAN eat in. The kind cashier suggested the lunch special - a 10" 2-ingredient pizza and side salad, served with honey for the pizza crust (a Beau Jo's tradition). It was wonderful! I brought home 4 of the slices of my Italian sausage & black olive Za. The cashier brought my food to my table, which I appreciated. Extremely Disappointing Experience - Food and Service My experience at Beau Jo's Pizza (University location) was extremely disappointing, both in customer service and food quality. In addition to being ignored when I first walked in, both pizzas I ordered were burnt clearly and noticeably burnt. This wasn't a minor issue or preference; it affected the entire meal. Considering the amount of money I spent, the quality did not come close to matching the price or expectations. I emailed the owner of the location directly to address the situation and never received a response no email back, no phone call, nothing. I understand it was Christmas time, but acknowledgment still matters. Silence speaks volumes. The entire experience left me uncomfortable and honestly pondering "what if" questions whether it was just a bad night for the staff or something else. Regardless, none of that should matter. I am a paying customer, and every customer deserves basic respect, attentiveness, and quality food. Between the poor service, burnt pizzas, and lack of response from ownership, this experience showed a breakdown not just at the staff level, but in leadership as well. Unfortunately, it reflects where the tone may be coming from. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because no customer should leave feeling overlooked, unheard, and disappointed especially after spending good money. read more

Wow!!! I cannot say how impressed I am enough. This place was so great. I am not a Colorado native so when I was told there was "colorado style" pizza I had to check this place out. This location was advertised as "to go" but there were plenty of seats inside & outside for a patio day when the weather is warmer. The staff was friendly & attentive. They had both bottle drinks & fountain drinks. I started off with a side portion of the cranberry pecan salad which was so good. The flavor with the dressing was *chefs kiss* not even for a "pizza place" just in general! Then I had the Sky Hawk pizza... and I'm literally craving it just thinking about it. This was my first time trying Colorado-style pizza, and I have to say, it was pretty damn good. A friend recommended it, and I'm so glad I gave it a shot. At first, it seems similar to regular pizza, but then you grab the honey and drizzle it over the crust, that's when it becomes a game-changer. Honestly, this needs to be a more common thing. The menu is full of creative options, though I'll always be a pepperoni fan at heart. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did! This is a hard one to write up. Think a lot has to do with the fact that this location is more of a 2go place vice sit down restaurant. None the less we went there for my birthday last week and were a bit disappointed by the overall experience. First, we appeared to be the first in and we placed our order. No one on the staff even mentioned their lunch special which is a great value - salad with a pizza for $12.50. There was zero advertising at the register! We found out when we sat down at a table. We ordered the Sky Hawk pizza which was very good. The side salad (wilted lettuce needed to be picked out) and balsamic dressing were ok. The dressing was the star which was recommended by the staff. We love Beau Jo's when years ago they were also in the Springs! But this trip was just not the same and paying $48 plus tip for lunch when we could have spent $25 was definitely something to mention to watch out for. I am usually a bread person but I think there was maybe a bit too much crust for my personal liking, but otherwise the pizza was great. I really enjoyed the sky hawk! Food is great as always, but $32.25 for a large take and bake cheese pizza is post apocalyptic insane. Couldn't even sit down to wait for our order, the few tables they have were all so dirty and the one clean table was being used to fold pizza boxes. 3-4 employees working, nobody cleaning dining area, but the employees in the back were excited for their Baskin Robbins door dash delivery. Beau Jo's says it serves Colorado style pizza. I didn't even know there was such a thing, honestly, but I'm glad I gave them a try after they were recommended to me by an acquaintance. The Lone Tree location is the only one I've been to, but apparently they have several. It pretty much qualifies as a hole in the wall, a very small location in a strip center. But don't worry about that. The service is friendly, and the pizza is delicious. They offer two different kinds of crusts of varying thickness and height, "mountain" and "prairie". Lots of different sorts of pizzas, but I have only had their very meaty one, the "motherlode", which is delicious. If one were going to make a complaint, it might be about the pricing. These are expensive pizzas. But they are really really good, and I'm always willing to pay up for quality. It couldn't hurt you to give it a try once, and maybe you'll agree with me that the pizza is worth the price, and make Beau Jo's part of your regular routine, like I have. read more

I have been going to Beau Jo's in Evergreen and Idaho Springs sense I was a kid, so I was very excited to try the one in Lonetree and it was a big mistake. Got there at the time they said the food would be ready and it wasn't the lady said it would another 5 mins, ok no big deal until, I was sitting waiting and ten minutes went by and no one said anything about my food being ready so I went and asked and it was ready not sure how long they would have let me sit there. Beau Jo's you better check this location out because they are ruining your reputation, I will not be back to this location unless major changes are made. this was 1 to no star, So this is really hard for me to do a review on this pizza place i love Beau Jo's. Tonight I went there with my mom on a Tuesday! I ordered my pizza light cheese with mushrooms, and I made sure they didn't burnt it with my 2 sides of ranch, I was waiting there patiently with my mom since we ordered separate. Her's came out with the crust super brown looked overcooked and hard and we did tell them that but the lady in blonde hair said to the other employees while they took it back, i have seen it was worse than that. Some people might think it is overcooked and to some might not think so, but to us it does look overcooked both of the pizza. Then mine came out they didnt listen, again does it look lightly cheese? No it looks more cheese and I just didn't say anything to make more of a problem or to bother them I just ate it. It looked pretty close to my mom's pizza. Then I had to go walk to them and ask for the 2 sides of ranch while they were talking to each other and had there phones out. I told them loud can I have my 2 ranches When I told them that when I ordered.. Horrible experience after tonight. When I come in to eat the pizza in the past it was way better they listened and made the pizza not burnt like tonight and made sure that they made it right without having an atitude like tonight.. this needs to be better all around. Went here with one of my roommates to give it a try after someone suggested I try it if I like pizza. Was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and we actually thought the GPS was wrong until we circled the building and saw it next to the army recruitment center. I ordered the pacific plantation and was pleased to have it out within a relatively short time since the rider was put in, the staff was also really helpful about the menu and any other questions I might have had. I enjoyed the pizza and the flatiron pepper flakes only enhanced the experience, also the idea of a thick crust being its own snack is a pretty unique idea, especially with the honey to go on it. Like to say first off i was shocked it was a "to go"location so I wasn't happy first. With that said, it had outdoor space and a patio. Able to take a beer out and pizza to enjoy. It was a bit windy today so people were inside. It's a busy place since it's the only one in the vicinity. Easy to order and such a sweet lady helping and take everyone's order. They were understaffed, yet attentive while doing multiple things. If you need a table clean just ask and they would help. They said 50 min wait for pizza but ended up about 37 or so which was a nice surprise. The pizza was solid but the show stopper was that honey. As my fiancé would say, "this is addicting". I had an Italian pizza. It was delicious. Tasted like a more gourmet version of Round Table Pizza, a flavor I have not enjoyed in years since living in California. It's an experience. You do need something for all that bread. They have buttered crust, but I'm glad I ordered marinara sauce. Would be interested for that to be garlic bread actually. Overall, delicious.
