When looking at the menu, my wife thought we had been there before. As we drove up, she remembered she had visited with a friend for lunch and enjoyed the pizza. She decided to try the rigatoni, while I had the rosemary chicken. Both dishes were fine, if not particularly overwhelming or impressive. She thought she'd go back to the pizza if we returned again. The bread that comes with the dinners (and is available as an appetizer) resembles more of an Indian naan than an Italian bread. But at least the flavor was good. Like the food, service was fine for the most part. A little slow at the start, but around when we needed it. Food came out fast at least. Overall, I'll say everything here was fine. Not blown away by really any of it, but also nothing earth shattering that would keep us from coming back if we were in the area and hungry. I came here with my dad because it was the halfway point between the two of us. We didn't have a reservation, but we got their earlier enough to get a table. Our waitress Lavita was such a gem!! Really made the experience that much better. I went with the Magarita pizza and my dad got a salad and the lasagna. My pizza was amazing, cooked very well and had a decent amount of basil which I love! The salad was a good size and quite tasty, loved the bread it came with too. The Lasagna was a bit lack luster for me. The noodles were almost too soft, and I wouldn't have minded it to be a bit more flavorful. I did take off one star because the food was great, but the ambiance was ehh. It is definitely considered casual dining. With the food quality I think they could step it up a notch. There were kids running around and licking the window with parents who couldn't seem to care. Didn't even look up from their phone. We met friends here for lunch yesterday and boy was it good. The winter cocktail menu was fab and we tried several. Our server Ruby recommended The cherry margarita. I went here with my parents, my pasta and my Dad's pasta were way overcooked. Pizza was barely browned for a place with a wood fired oven. Everything was also heavily coated in oregano, the "herb" bread, the pastas, the chicken that came with my pasta, the pizza, the Bruschetta. The place should be called Oregano Baci instead. The main saving grace was that we went during their 20th anniversary celebration where some items were priced the same as they were when they first opened 20 years ago. If only they used ingredients of the same quality as 20 years ago since it seems like they are skimping on quality. At the very least the waitress was nice. read more

Very impressed with their pizza! We stopped in during happy hour (they offer it on both weekdays and weekends!) and got $5 off our Margherita pizza -- such a great deal. The pizza itself was delicious, especially the large pieces of fresh basil on top that made it both visually appealing and full of flavor. My mom, siblings, and I stopped in for dinner after running some errands. We were seated and we waited a few minutes before our waitress, Lavida G, came to bring us waters. My younger brother is huge, looks 15/16 and is 11. My mom asked for a kids menu as my brother is a very picky eater. The waitress proceeded to give my mother an awful look and gave her the stank eye. We chose to ignore it and continue with our meal. My mother's salmon hash was way over cooked and was pretty much charred. The pizza my brother ended up ordering did not look very cooked either. Overall, I would say food was a solid 5 or 6 out of 10. At one point, we overheard our waitress with another party, the man was checking up on their food as it had been a while and she proceeds to respond with 'your food is coming out of a very busy kitchen' in a very rude tone. At least the restaurant was quiet. The Diavalo Pizza was pretty good, not too much heat. The Pasta Pomodoro was lacking in flavor and a bit too watery for my tastes. Another great dinner at Via Baci! My husband and I were attending a performance at the Lone Tree Arts Center which is right across the road. We decided to have dinner here prior to the event. I got the Lasagna. It was delicious! My husband got the Diavolo Pizza and enjoyed it very much. My only issue with Via Baci is the acoustics of the restaurant. I have visited many times, but I won't go back. The server was rude, didn't get our order right and we were asked if we needed anything else 5 times in a 1/2 hour to make us leave even though we will still finishing our drinks and taking. When I made a comment about being pushed out, the server said we have reservations. When I explained that it was kit our fault she stated she didn't say it was. Very rude and disrespectful. I know they have special going on for the 20 years, but I am done with bad service from the same server and will encourage my friends to not go back. This is the worst experience I have ever had with pressure of leaving to fill a table. Shame on you. read more

My husband and I ate here last night. I ordered the Pumkin Ravioli and he ordered the Steak Salad. I had high expectations for the Pumpkin Ravioli. Unfortunately it didn't live up to them. The sauce was too acidic for me. It tasted like they put too much lemon juice in the sauce. My husband said his steak salad was ok but not amazing. He said the Steak Salad at Texas Roadhouse is better. The best part of the meal was dessert. I ordered the chocolate volcano cake with ice cream and it was amazing! We used to go to Via Baci all of the time when we lived in Lone Tree, but we moved away almost 10 years ago and only stop in from time to time. I will say they have stayed consistent the entire time we have been going there. The staff is always super friendly and quick to greet you at the door. The place is small but I have never had to wait for a table. They are pretty quick there. We went last week with some family from out of town and I went out of my comfort zone and tried something new and got the chicken piccata. It was delicious! I loved it. Plus it was a big enough portion that I had lunch for the next day. Loved it! Everyone was extremely happy with their meal and our service was always keeping us on our toes and smiling. It's been a while since me and The Hubs did 'date night' on a mid-week night (maybe a year ago?). Anyway, I remember that it was a day/evening when it was boiling hot outside. We had a reservation and were seated at a table by the window. At first I thought this was great. Then I noticed that it felt really really warm by all that glass (duh). I looked around the restaurant thinking we could be seated at another table, but the place was packed. So, I asked our server if the a/c could be adjusted a degree or two cooler. He gave me an odd look, but he must have said something to the manager. A few minutes later, I felt cool air coming from the vents and it felt so much better at our table. So, thank you to the manager and please note that those tables by the window are hot at 7PM in August. I really appreciate that you made the adjustment, but I felt like 'that person' having to ask. Anyway, it's been too long to remember what we ordered for dinner but I do remember that we both enjoyed our food and would go again (I forgot about this place but thinking about doing this next date night!). Via Bacci has good food and a nice-casual vibe. It's family-friendly (not a selling point for me, but I get it). There were a fair number of kids there the night we went - way more than I was expecting - so take note if you want a different vibe. read more

Our waiter was Zachary. He did an amazing job and one of us in the party needed gluten-free, he was very well-versed on the availability of various items and made great recommendations. The pizza was a great gluten-free crust. The chicken piccata ordered by another in the party was not needed to be gluten-free and was absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad dressing was amazing. I had the Cesar with steak. I asked for medium rare it came more medium/done and was chewy. Not worth the additional $10. The dressing was traditional creamy ceaser and was tasty but was drowned in it. I would recommend getting the dressing in the side to dress to your liking. No crouton's but did come with two pieces of cool pita bread. Nothing special about this place especially for an area with so many restaurants to choose from. We had date night here last night and had a wonderful experience with Michalia as our server. When we got there at 5:15 there was a 30-40 minute wait so we walked over to Target. Not 5 minutes later they called me and we got in very quickly. They have tables spaced appropriately and all employees are masked. We scanned the menu on our phone and spent the next 20 minutes trying to decide between handmade pizzas, entrees or pasta - it all sounded amazing. Now we haven't been out much due to COVID so I can't tell if my sheer excitement was partly due to that but this place is awesome. We loved the cozy atmosphere with the pizza oven in plain view of our table. I ordered a grey goose martini and my husband had a beer. Nothing on tap just a canned beer, but we were happy as clams. Maybe because the 5 year old was home with Grandma and not whining that he was starving every 2 minutes. Yep that helped too. Then the burrata app arrived and good gracious it was beyond good. Served on some garlic toast the burrata was silky and creamy, dressed with balsamic, oil and fresh diced tomatoes, bruschetta style. It was divine, seasoned perfectly and a total treat. For our main course I had the chicken piccata w spaghetti and at our wonderful server's rec I added bacon and mushrooms to the already briny caper, lemon butter sauce. You want a bite of heaven? Try this. The chicken was wood fired in the pizza oven and had some smoky complexity along with perfectly cooked spaghetti lightly tossed in the buttery goodness. It was served with garlic toast points and I nearly ate the entire dish. My husband got the Enzo pizza which was delicious, flavorful and made with serious love. It was wood fired with a crispy crust and perfectly soft dough. We make our own sourdough pizza every week so we're impressed when we find something that can hold up to homemade! For dessert we shared a piece of tiramisu. Delicate, creamy, transcendent. I can't recommend the place enough and everyone who left had a full belly and a smile on their face. It's modern, but very comfortable and better than you'd expect in this shopping center filled with fast food and quick serve places. We came here for lunch and got a couple of pizzas and a salad. We had great service, and they were super accommodating to our baby who was tossing things on the floor and really enjoying himself. While the pizza here isn't on the level of a Marco's, it's very good for the suburbs and you won't regret getting it. Prices are a little steeper than what you might expect, but not by too much.
