No cheese in the calzone!

We have been ordering food from Carmines located in Lone Tree for years now. Tonight one very bad manager just lost a very good customer. I don't think the restaurant owner is going to be happy with that. Carmines made our food and over cooked mine and didn't fill my wife's order correctly. When we called the female on the phone said she was the manager and she would not be making our order correctly for us. Instead she just canceled our order! We had to go somewhere else for dinner! WE WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM carmines EVER AGAIN. Instead we will find a friendly restaurant who WELCOMES customers instead of turning them away! I urge you to think about what would happen to you at Carmines the unfriendly restaurant should an issue come up!

A 14 inch cheese pizza which was so so delicious

We just moved back to Lone Tree/Highlands Ranch a couple weeks ago and came back to our favorite Italian Restaurant!! It is kid friend which is good because we have 2 grandson's 6 &8! And they have a great kids menu! (We did not have them with us today! Also we love their outdoor patio but today was raining! Ask for for Devon because it was the best and he really likes his job.

Stephanie is amazing. She's usually our server when we visit & we love her. This is our favorite spot to eat when we're craving Italian. We've been here several times. We try to make it in biweekly. They're always ON POINT. The food, the vibe of the place, is chill. Highly recommended.

A true NY pizza place has slices available daily. Carmine's has different daily specials also.

Carmine's Alla Vodka

Haven't been to Carmines in a while but visited a few nights ago. Food is still amazing like always. I know most people go for the pizza, but their pasta dishes are delicious as well. My favorite is Penne Gorgonzola and the Alla Vodka is a spicy (literally) runner up. Love their bread too. So good! Food still gets a 5/5. Like many places these days, they seemed short staffed with just one waiter taking care of all the tables, which is rough and I'm not unsympathetic to their plight. However, due to this, the service wasn't as good as its been in the past. Sometimes you just need a refill on water when you're eating spicy pasta. The place has never been sparkling clean, but seemed less clean than usual. So for these two reasons, I have to take away a star - 4/5.

Ultimate Combo Calzone

The food exceeded my expectations. I will make this a favorite. So fresh, piping hot and made the delivery home still delicious. I ordered for my wife who was working nearby and she loved her dish. Also some unique deserts that were amazing. Sorry I only took one picture but you can see my Calzone had it all. No skimping here.

I would give them a zero if I could. I placed an order through DoorDash, they couldn't find the order on their end. No big deal, it was just for garlic knots. I asked how I could get refunded since I already paid and the gentleman at the front (who I have come to learn is the OWNER) attacked me verbally. Like the rudest person I have ever met. I was being so calm and respectful and he was raising his voice with a nasty tone and getting all worked up. All they had to do was say sorry they didn't get it, DoorDash will refund you, and we'd be happy to place another order now for you and have that right up. Instead this man was extremely rude. I walked out and will never and I mean never support their business again and I'm a regular customer. Great job guys! As someone who works in customer service this experience was deplorable! And don't blame DoorDash for your terrible lack of customer service. Don't team up with 3rd party vendors if you can't figure it out. I would have ordered directly but on your website it makes you choose a third party site for ordering. *And not this was NOT a scam as the owner claims...maybe he should do some research before he makes that claim. Here is DoorDash with the pricing...see pic below of $6.50. I had to call DoorDash to cancel and they had the order so clearly it wasn't a "scam" and that's a disgrace that you would accuse me of that!

Everybody working there is super friendly too. Now on to the main topic. We tried some of the thin crust and the Detroit style.... Both were significantly better than other pizza you can get in a walk in place around here. Perfectly crispy, amazing yummy edge and corners. But also a great thick crust dough on the Detroit style. The thin crust has those same amazing crispy edges . This place is great and we will be back.

I really wanted to like this place!!…read more Back story... I stopped in on a Friday afternoon, around 12:45. The place is not that busy. The sign at the front says to wait to be seated. One of the staff (blonde girl) walks up to th me stand, puts menus in the holder, and walks away. No greeting, no eye contact, nada! About 3 minutes later, another member of staff (male) says someone will be right with me. After a couple more minutes, I am asked if I want to sit at the bar or a table. I chose table (I wanted a pizza and the room to spread out) and off we go. This may have been my downfall... So I am sat down and the male staff member gives me a menu and says my server will be right over. She comes over from behind the bar (blonde girl from before) and is super friendly, explaining the menu and takes my drink order. She the comes back with my beer, along with a flyer with a QR code for me to sign up for their loyalty program (I will then get $10 off my first order). I figure that's a good deal and after she takes my food order (2 small "Detroiter Pizza" for $10 a pie, as it is "313" day (March 13th)), I download the app and sign up. Here is where the really frustrating part comes up. I sit a and wait over 35 minutes for my pizza to arrive. Now there was food presented to me multiple times during my wait, but it wasn't my order (cheese pizza paraded around to multiple tables). I finally am brought my to-go pizza (I had ordered 2 smalls - 1 to eat there, 1 for takeaway), but waited another 15 minutes for my actual meal. During this time, no one comes by to check on my table or ask if I need anything (beer glass has been empty for 10 minutes). The male staff member asks multiple tables around me if all was good and if they need anything, but suspiciously skips asking me. So I finally just call out to him and ask if my pizza is still coming out or not. To the actual pizza.... It was FANTASTIC (which makes me leaving this 1 star review hard). I thoroughly enjoyed the crust, the cheese, and the sauce on top and even with all the issues already laid out, I'd thought I would likely return. But... here is why I will not. When I checked my banking app earlier today, I have 2 charges from Via 313. The first charge is what I signed for via their mobile device that was brought to my table, but the second is for $18 and change and I have no idea what that is about? With this many cock-ups and shady charges, I simply cannot recommend Via 313!

My personal favorite is Cranelli's Italian restaurant in Lone Tree, Colorado. We were very warmly greeted as we arrived at the restaurant. On this particular day, we were there during happy hour because I had a nearby appointment. Right away, the ambiance was warm, cozy, had the feeling of a "real" Italian restaurant. We were taken to a table and within minutes the server approached with warm freshly baked garlic knots and asked if we would like to order any drinks or appetizers. Cranelli's has amazing happy hour deals on fabulous appetizers. We enjoyed every single bite of everything we tried and the drink deals were great, too. But the magic really happened with the entrees. I always order the chicken cacciatore. The level of the flavor and the intensity of flavor honestly feels like a party in my mouth. There is so much food if you get the full size, which I do, just so I will deliberately have leftovers. I got four meals out of my full size cacciatore! Mama Mia! My dining companion had the lasagna and we both Ooo'd and ahhh'd over it. Every bite so delicious. Our bill was so reasonable and we can't wait to go back!!!

A Yelp find…read more Saturday night. Stopped by since we couldn't get in elsewhere. This is a hidden gem. I'm glad they had room for us. Much better than where we planned to go. Server Taylor. Absolutely wonderful. Friendly and patient. Answered questions. Gave suggestions. Kidded around with us too. A real breath of fresh air. The boss and I couldn't decide between the Chicken Piccata or the Lasagna. So we ordered both. We loved both! And there was plenty to take home. Both wood-fired. Reasonably priced and large portions. Delicious. This is a MUST try. Amy. Your team did you proud.

She decided to try the rigatoni, while I had the rosemary chicken. Both dishes were fine, if not particularly overwhelming or impressive. She thought she'd go back to the pizza if we returned again. The bread that comes with the dinners (and is available as an appetizer) resembles more of an Indian naan than an Italian bread. But at least the flavor was good. Like the food, service was fine for the most part. A little slow at the start, but around when we needed it. Food came out fast at least. Overall, I'll say everything here was fine. Not blown away by really any of it, but also nothing earth shattering that would keep us from coming back if we were in the area and hungry. That said, with lots of Italian/pizza places in the area, we probably wouldn't make a special trip to drive here.
