We have been weekly regulars at Carmine's for several years. No more! The recent inconsistency with quality is disappointing. 3 examples: 1 - The meatball sauce is extremely salty. 2. - We ordered Minestrone soup that was literally tomato water. 3 - We always order our pizza well done as the crust tends to be soggy. The last few times the crust wss still undercooked and soggy. (Awful actually) We like to support small businesses but Carmines is off our list now. We have been ordering food from Carmines located in Lone Tree for years now. Tonight one very bad manager just lost a very good customer. I don't think the restaurant owner is going to be happy with that. Carmines made our food and over cooked mine and didn't fill my wife's order correctly. When we called the female on the phone said she was the manager and she would not be making our order correctly for us. Instead she just canceled our order! We had to go somewhere else for dinner! WE WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM carmines EVER AGAIN. Instead we will find a friendly restaurant who WELCOMES customers instead of turning them away! I got a food borne illness from this place. Had a fever of 100.2 and felt like i was dying for a day. The next day it was gone. All my symptoms lined up with food borne illness especially how it only lasted 24 hours. Even when i ate the pizza - i was questioning it. Haven't been to Carmines in a while but visited a few nights ago. Food is still amazing like always. I know most people go for the pizza, but their pasta dishes are delicious as well. My favorite is Penne Gorgonzola and the Alla Vodka is a spicy (literally) runner up. Love their bread too. So good! Food still gets a 5/5. Like many places these days, they seemed short staffed with just one waiter taking care of all the tables, which is rough and I'm not unsympathetic to their plight. However, due to this, the service wasn't as good as its been in the past. Sometimes you just need a refill on water when you're eating spicy pasta. The place has never been sparkling clean, but seemed less clean than usual. So for these two reasons, I have to take away a star - 4/5. read more

Solid NY-style pizza. Good garlic knots. Great salads. Their pastas usually leave a little to be desired and are usually watery if sauce is tomato-based. It's not a big deal-- we come here for pizza, not pasta, and there are Italian restaurants nearby if we're in the mood for higher quality pasta. I would give them a zero if I could. I placed an order through DoorDash, they couldn't find the order on their end. No big deal, it was just for garlic knots. I asked how I could get refunded since I already paid and the gentleman at the front (who I have come to learn is the OWNER) attacked me verbally. Like the rudest person I have ever met. I was being so calm and respectful and he was raising his voice with a nasty tone and getting all worked up. All they had to do was say sorry they didn't get it, DoorDash will refund you, and we'd be happy to place another order now for you and have that right up. Instead this man was extremely rude. I walked out and will never and I mean never support their business again and I'm a regular customer. Great job guys! As someone who works in customer service this experience was deplorable! And don't blame DoorDash for your terrible lack of customer service. Don't team up with 3rd party vendors if you can't figure it out. Welp back again for Christmas and they did not disappoint! The food was hot and delicious . I got a salad and they do NOT give you just lettuce! This thing was loaded with chicken, avocado, egg, bacon, blue cheese crumble, and tomatoes. Since we are traveling I asked for dressing on the side. They were awesome about making sure we got things wrapped to go so I could enjoy the rest today. We also got a pizza with sausage pepperoni and light mushrooms (kids don't notice if it's not too much). The pizza was delicious. We have pizza at home but they have a great amount of toppings and the sauce is delicious. My daughter got spaghetti and again a generous amount of food. My son loves desserts so of course he ordered a cannoli which also did not disappoint. The staff were amazing and I chatted with the owner. It's lovely to support a local small business and I'm glad we were able to come back! The building is in a strip mall near chipotle, and I think the noodle company. Server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the menu; didn't go with the old "everything is good" line. Wine selection hits the mark, moderately priced and diverse... Wine selection 4.25/5. Was recommended a few items; arancini, meatballs and a few pasta dishes. Ultimately tried the arancini; crispy but relatively flavorless; 2.9/5. Tried a pizza for the main dish, a Margherita. Cracker thin crust, virtually no flavor. It was covered in raw diced tomato and had just a touch of basil. It was recommended to add the basil pesto and balsamic reduction as dips; that definitely changed the game. They could make it a fun, bar-style meets flatbread pizza if they used the pesto for the base sauce, and both limited and cooked the tomatoes on the pie. 2.75/5. *note, pizza wasn't recommended, but when I chose it, server highly recommended the pesto for dipping. Those garlic knots though - Dear Lord! Easily some of the best things I've eaten in a while. Beautifully balanced between crunchy and chewy, fantastic flavor development and a mellow marinara for dipping. 5+/5 -- seriously worth ordering!! Loved the atmosphere, loved the service and community within...wanted to love the food, but will no doubt double up the garlic knots and ask if they can customize a pizza..... I really came here because I had a hankering taste for some fettuccine Alfredo and they were literally 3 min away. I ordered the jerk chicken, which was cooked perfectly and the jerk sauce was balanced excellently. The sauce is goodadenamuhfucka! Now my pasta, the fettuccine Alfredo, very lackluster, tasteless, the noodles, the broccoli, the asparagus tasted as if it came straight out the pot, no seasoning added to the water or anything. Noodles were bland as well. I tried to spruce it up but it just was a fail! I don't know if I'll give it a second chance, maybe just come for the chicken and not the pasta cause that was damn good! Don't EVER try to order via uber eats or they will NOT DO anything for you if something is wrong. Terrible service and have no clue how to run a business. Lost a customer for life and would've taken two minutes to make the pizzas and LET ME PICK THEM UP LIKE I OFFERED TO DO. This is a hard review to leave. Carmines is one of my favorite local pizzas. When the pie is fresh it can be delicious. Went in the other day and ordered a pizza, when it came to the table, the pizza was dry and obviously made earlier and reheated. Not good at all. Secondly the sewer smell in restaurant is disgusting. I have gone in, smelled the sewer gas, and turned and walked back out the door. The sewer smell has been a problem for awhile, and it can be nauseating. I have no idea how they are able to stay open with the smell. This has been going on for over a year. read more

Carmine's has always been a crowd-pleaser in my family. Lots to choose from, great table service, good food. Not amazing, but good -- pizzas are great, chicken entrees are satisfactory, I would skip the chicken piccata but recommend the chicken marsala. Great wings, pasta is very good. Amazing lasagna. If you order take-out, double-check your order. Order accuracy through their take-out process is consistently inconsistent (our orders are not even all that complicated, but it's common to have missing items or misinterpreted instructions like "no onions on that one salad" becomes "no onions on all the salads"). They do double-check, and I hate to say it but customer needs to triple-check. If you find something missing they fix it very quickly. Despite having some areas where they could improve, we love their pizza, definitely try their lasagna, and table service is highly recommended over take-out. We love coming here. read more
