We came all the way from Santa Clarita and we're not disappointed. Past all the namebrand places by the aquarium and came here and we're not disappointed. I had the work burger, which has fried portobello mushrooms. Others in our group had grilled cheese and poutine burger, and Italian burger and the hotdog and the breakfast burritos. No one was disappointed actually, we were surprisingly pleased with our selections. Sleeper items are the fried cheese curds by themselves. Make sure you get these. Also the onion rings are batter dipped. And beyond delicious! Only bummer is the drinks are cans, so if you need more than one drink, be prepared to pay for each can. The food was super delicious!!

We stopped by here because it was late and they were still open. Another reason I wanted to try it…read morewas because they served poutine, and I'm always on the lookout for places that offer it. It was really loud during our visit. I'm not sure if it's always that lively on Friday nights, but it was the weekend of Warped Tour, so there was a lot of music and energy. If you're looking for a quieter meal, this may not be the best night to visit. The food itself was good, but the wait was much longer than expected. We waited almost 40 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, my burger was also made incorrectly. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger but was served a different burger instead. Not quite sure what it was, but it had mushrooms and American cheese. Since we had already waited so long, I decided to just eat it rather than send it back. The burgers were flavorful, but they were smaller than I expected for the price, and they don't come with fries. To round out my meal, I ordered the poutine fries. They were decent. The fries were nice and crispy, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Burger Don Chendo, and that ended up being the standout of the night. I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I'd be willing to give them another try, especially for the Don Chendo burger, but I'm hoping for a smoother experience next time.

There was something special…read moreabout whispering sweet nothings into that little ordering window, then walking over to another little window to receive your heavenly gift: a crispy, juicy, delicately cheesy burger on a soft bun--all for under $10. I've traveled around and tried a lot of burger joints. It's honestly hard to fuck up a burger, but it's also hard to make one truly memorable. The Win-Dow captures exactly what an LA burger should be: quick, simple, delicious, and affordable. Now they have locations throughout Southern California, including this one in Long Beach--which I especially like because it isn't surrounded by hundreds of hipsters. It's in one of my favorite parts of Long Beach, where you still get those laid-back beach-town vibes. The staff is usually pretty straightforward. Smiling must be considered an "ick" nowadays, but no worries--I'm here for the burgers. There's a chill little area outside the pickup window where you can eat, or you can drive a few blocks to the beach and enjoy it there. For the quality, simplicity, and price, The Win-Dow is genuinely one of my favorite burger joints. When you consider everything--not just the burger itself, but the experience and value--this could possibly be the best burger in LA.

This place did not disappoint for a burger joint. I ordered just a a simple cheeseburger and got the crispy brussels sprouts and wow just wow. The crispy brussels sprouts was actually pretty tasty and the perfect crispy. It is not soggy at all more than crispy like some restaurants do when offering crispy brussels sprouts . It also was seasoned simply but still tasted so good. The cheeseburger was also just a simple cheeseburger, but it was so good and cooked perfectly to my liking with burgers. I had some of my cousins fries with the jalapeno ranch and house ranch to try and I def recommend trying the sauces they have. I also tried my cousins shake (the chocolate s'mores) and it was quite tasty that I kept taking a few sips of it. Overall, 1000% recommend when in Long Beach. I believe they do have another location somewhere else in SoCal according to my cousin, but I am not too sure where.

Dear Team at The Ordinarie Tavern,…read more The Ordinarie has officially become one of our favorite places! We love it so much that we cannot wait to bring more of our friends and family. During our visit, we wanted to try everything on the menu. The presentation was very nice, the food and the cocktails was delicious, the portions were just right and the prices were reasonable. Booking a reservation was super easy. I reserved a patio table for 6 guests at 6:30pm on a Friday night in the middle of summer! I was easily able to modify it and received text verification of my reservation. I didn't pay a dime to use the online booking system. The ambiance was very nice, semi private and the weather was perfect However, the best part of our evening was our server, Isabella. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, animated, and knowledgeable. She truly made our night! With much gratitude, Brenda

I had been to this bar a few years ago for their Christmas holiday pop up and had a great time so I…read morewas happy to see there was a Halloween pop up and brought a friend along. Five stars for atmosphere except the fact that they kept the front door open, which let the heat in and, since it was during the day, let daylight in, which kind of destroyed the mood. We tried to change our seat but they have a strange strict policy about not moving tables and specifically assigning certain tables to certain parties. And because this is a popular pop up, there weren't any open seats at the bar which is very immersive and very heavily decorated. We didn't have the best experience with the server that we asked about switching our table, but fortunately that was not our server and we were glad to be at our table because we absolutely loved our server, Cindy. She had great energy and was very responsive to our questions and needs. It was a delight every time she came to our table. And we loved that she and the other servers were dressed up in costume for Halloween even though it was the beginning of October. Every cocktail is themed and comes in its own themed glassware, although you're not allowed to switch up which drink is in which glass. I enjoyed the Tangled Web cocktail in the spider web coupe and the Liquid Lobotomy Tiki style cocktail in the creepy doll head mug. There weren't a lot of gluten-free options for lunch, so I got the Caesar salad without croutons and added salmon. The salad was fine but the salmon was overcooked (I asked for medium rare and it was medium or a bit more than that). But good to have something in my stomach for those cocktails.
