The bagel its self was a little hard to bite into but not anything too crazy. I also tasted the lox, now THAT was probably the star of the show. A very disappointing visit as we had heard good things. The selection of donuts was mostly picked…read moreover, we got a dozen. We each tasted a donut hole that was mediocre. The drink cooler was not very cold so drinks were not enjoyable. They told us they were out of French Toast after we ordered and paid. We switched to grilled cheese which they said was more expensive. When we got to our table we realized that the grilled cheese was $5.80 less than the French toast so after a little debate my wife went up to the counter and explained it and the guy offered her some of the last of the donuts, my wife said no thanks and the guy gave her a five dollar bill. The grilled cheese was not good. My breakfast sandwich was warm and not too bad. It had bacon with a maple taste. The biscuit was fresh but not sure it was made on site. The total bill for the sandwiches, no sides, and a dozen donuts was about $50, $45, counting the $5 back. It felt about $20 overpriced for what we got. The cashier was unfriendly and aloof from the beginning. Maybe he was having a bad day. We were the only customers at about 12:30 on a Saturday.

I stopped in here yesterday morning on my way out of town and snagged a quick croissant breakfast…read moresandwich. Service was quick though maybe not the most energetic bunch. The place was cozy enough to have sat down and poke at my breakfast if I had had the time though, for sure. The breakfast sandwich was a bit of an oddity. I guess they must be pre-made because they couldn't do the bagel sandwich with egg... but the croissant they could? Doesn't exactly scream fresh... Also, when I get a croissant, I expect it to be, you know, croissant sized. This thing was smaller than an English muffin (which explains why it was $3.80). I will say though... that thing was TASTY. I wish I had more than 4 bites because it was delicious, without being greasy or anything like that with the sausage on it. The iced Buckeye latte was also equally solid (white mocha, peanut butter, etc.). It was coffee, chocolate, and just hints of peanut butter here and there. I'm not much one for peanut butter too often, but I found this to be really enjoyable. All in all, a little less "I don't want to be here" vibe from the staff and the whole egg on the sandwich thing give me some hesitation here. I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in town, but I don't think it would be my first choice necessarily (OK, the latte might be).
