So I used to have to buy his bagel at the farm market every week. But hold up now a store front game changer. So not only does he have Bagel which are crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside so delicious. But now sandwiches I had the Classic, egg and cheese and opted to go with steak and grilled onions on it. This was so good and seasoned just right. Also tried the Pro Que No El Puerto sandwich which had the following Chorizo, folded egg, avocado smash, pickled red onion, honey chipotle mayo and cheddar cheese. Oh my this is one to try so filling I think we could have shared... but nope. This place gets really busy early, so don't wait get up and just go! read more

Great little bagel place in Hilliard. I stopped in a on Sunday morning, wasn't too busy. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a sesame bagel. Though I did have to wait a little longer than expected for my food the sandwich was really great. The eggs were well seasoned and the bagel had a great chew. I will most definitely be back. read more

First time in going in with the hopes of picking up a half dozen bagels. It's attached to a gas station, but is painted nicely outside with good signage. A few parking spots out front. It was around noon on a Friday, line out the door. People were mostly ordering sammies. Get in to order after a few minutes' wait (maybe 5-7 mins) and they have pumpernickel and plain bagels left. We got 2 plain and called it a day. ~$2.25 each and I would consider them slightly undersized for the price. The cashier wasn't exactly friendly. There was an inference of an apology ("We only have pumpernickel and plain left. We are busy.") I mean ok? I can see that you're busy, but kindness is free. Just didn't leave us with a great first impression. If I find myself close by again in the future, I might try one of their bagel sandwiches because they sounded nice, but I won't make a special trip for bagels alone. read more

This place rocks! Great bagels and their cold brews are money! Put one in Westerville. New York style to a T! read more

Bears Bagels - Goldielox. Sooo good. - Bagels Near Me - Hilliard, Ohio

We went to Bears Bagels for the first time today! We got the lox sandwich and it was amazing! We are a big fan of pastrami lox and get it shipped in from New York since we couldn't find it in Columbus! We are so glad Bears has it!! The bagel was cooked perfectly and the sandwich tasted amazing! We do wish they had spots to sit as we drove from the east side to get them and there isn't really any places to sit especially when the line is out the door! read more

Definitely did not expect to go to a bagel shop right next to a gas station. Cute small bagel shop. It was so good! I got poppyseed bagel with garlic and chives cream cheese. I wish they reduce their garlic in the cream cheese. Still good though!! They have $6 for 6 day old bagels. I wasn't sure if I should grab it. Before I could do that it was gone. Regret!! read more

What a place!! The bagels alone are amazing, the bagels filled with one of their many delicious sandwich options are mouthwatering. Very creative. I can see why people line up here. It's worth the wait! Friendly and happy service is the cherry on the top. And now there's Laneway Coffee in their carpark too. Delicious! I'll be back! read more

When something is new and they've got social media and word of mouth EVERYBODY flocks there. Yet if you peel back the layers of hype you've got to come to the reality of what this place is...a solid bagel shop. It's not an orgasmic otherworldly experience like folks have blown it up to be, again, it's solid. You could go to SEVERAL other high quality places around town and get the same. I guess the Hilliard community was starved for bagels and this business met their supply and demand and are making money HAND OVER FIST. Their bagel sandwiches are high priced yet kinda dinky and WHITE CASTLE sized for what you get. This is kinda odd to say this because the bagels they have in their display case are HUMONGOUS yet when you order one of their $15-$20 bagel sandwiches that come with no sides or a drink they're MINISCULE. Two small bagel breakfast sandwiches gonna run you $30-$40. Nevertheless they're tasty with unique flavor combinations and profiles. The everything bagel combination of seasonings on the outside needs more salt and the rosemary sea salt bagels need more rosemary and sea salt. The other bagel flavors like the pretzel one is just okay. The SCHMEARS or cream cheese are velvety smooth where you don't have to butcher the hell out the bagel to smear it on. The VARIOUS flavors of the SCHMEARS here are probably the best thing going here along with their BIALY with the sweet potato on the inside. I can't guarantee the sweet potato bialy will be there if you try them later on down the line because these are SEASONAL. There is a line, sometimes out the door, because it is super small inside with little to NO SEATING with odd parking outside as this place is attached to a gas station. So if you pull into their odd angled parking lot and you get a scratch or a dent on your Benz, Beamer, Lexus, or Tesla don't say I didn't warn you. I do give them credit for their customer service and efficiency because they operate like a well oiled machine because they get those orders and churn them out which makes the line go fast. This place is on par with any other bagel spot that is NOT A CHAIN which means it's leap years better than Tim Hortons, Dunkin Donuts etc but higher quality like a Fox in the Snow, Blocks, Lox, Cockys etc. This is a HONEST review unlike all the other Instagram, Tik Tok inspired ones, prior to mine, acting like YOU WILL SEE GOD if you eat here. This place is NOT that, but it's still SOLID and congratulations to the owners for taking all that old HILLIARD money by opening this business...they won't miss it. read more

A small cute lil hole in the wall. We went for the Sunday Sammie and it did not disappoint! My only criticism would be that the bagel was a lil too hard for me. Other than that it was an eggcellent sandwich and that smoky tomato mayo was so flavorful! The service was good as well! read more

Ehh.. It's not consistent.. Been coming/going here a few times since my last review, it's not consistent. Some times it's a close NY Bagel, others it's a bagel shop in NY that would be out of business quick. The consistency of the dough is the issue, at times you will get a bagel with snap, they are supposed to be a little tough on the outside and fluffy but not like sponge cake in the middle.. Sometimes it's great, others it's only mediocre, even by ohio bagel standards places like brugers are more consistent. They also jacked the prices and changed the quality of the ingredients and it shows.. They are consistently busy, but not to the point that they used to be, and i think the quality and love that was in the food when they first opened is gone, and other people have seen it too.. It's too bad, because that first time has never been replicated, but that original bacon was only comparable to the original pancake house bacon, and in the pre ingredient change bagels, it was nearly as good as a NY Bagel, where now i don't know that i'd go out of my way for one.. read more

I want to live next the this place! The bagels are so good. Everything on the menu looked phenomenal. The staff were super polite and helpful. The seasonal (gingerbread) bagel was absolutely amazing. Wish I had gotten a dozen. read more

First time at Bears and it was a success! Always busy which is good and well worth the wait. We ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches (all were very good) and they brought them out to us once they were done. It's small inside but benches outside to sit as well. It's very cute inside and they also have breakfast drinks as well. read more

Saw them at the Bexley farm market. Super friendly, and though they were sold out of a few things they still had plain, sesame, and rosemary bagels. I wanted a bag of each, but went with plain. And they knew they had me the minute they mentioned bacon scallion schmear. Which was great. And the bagels were very good. I had to stop myself so Sweetie could have some when she gets home. read more

You will wait for your food because the line is literally out the door but sooo worth wait. This is not a typical bagel chain with 50 different flavors shipped in from some place. Homemade and delicious and great customer service!!! Forgot to post a picture before we ate them but will be back for sure! read more

After continuous hype we drove 37 minutes one way and arrived at a painted Sunoco service station with a line out the door, well it must be great look at that line. I got the classic with sausage and it was so bland and immediately I regretted all we went through to get to that point. The photos all look great but today I got a stale bagel hardly toasted/cold with a light gray bland sausage and what tasted like plain microwaved eggs, all of this miserable experience was from the front seat of my car because this jam packed old service station has absolutely no room to eat inside. I guess you do some trick photography and have a cool name and people come from everywhere to experience the hype, maybe I'll open a Bear Pizza and put sauce on cardboard. read more

I love bagels. I'm a bagel snob. This place's bagels are fine. Not going to blow you away, but not going to offend you either. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but I like supporting local. I would go back, but at those prices not super frequently. read more

Place is Delicious and they are very friendly! If there is a line trust me it is worth the wait!

Stumbled across today and thought we'd give it a try. LOVE. I ordered in a rush and got two different sandwiches. Watching them now and amazing!!!! We came across Bears Bagels at the farmers market and lucked out in getting the very last pack of Cinnamon Crunch bagels. The bagels come in 4 packs and they also had classic flavors like plain, everything, sesame, and rosemary salt, plus schmears in a few different flavors. Who would have thought that an inconspicuous bagel shop in Hilliard of all places would capture the essence of a bustling New York City bagel institution. Yet, here I am, standing in a line that snakes out the door, braving the winter chill for what I can only hope is a proper, well-crafted bagel. The scent of freshly baked dough fills the air, a warm promise against the cold. After 20 minutes of anticipation, I find myself in front of the counter, placing an order for The Child's Garden--a bold, vegetarian masterpiece on an everything bagel. The first bite? Absolute perfection. The bagel is textbook--chewy, golden-crusted, generously seasoned. The garlic & chive shmear provides a silky, savory richness, while the folded egg (at the wise suggestion of the cashier) is impossibly light and impeccably seasoned. Then there's the layering of textures: cool, crisp cucumber and spinach, the deep umami of roasted tomato, and a subtle acidity and crunch from the pickled radish and carrot. It's balance in its purest form--nothing overpowering, nothing lacking. And just when I think the experience couldn't be better, The Bear arrives. It is a cold Banana Hazelnut Oatmilk Latte in a dark brown glass bottle. No artificial nonsense--just real banana, real hazelnut, all enveloped in creamy oatmilk that enhances the nuttiness of the coffee. One sip, and it's banana bread in a glass. Bears Bagels isn't just a bagel shop. It's a statement--a love letter to the craft of bagel-making, right here in Columbus. If you haven't been, you're missing out. If you have? You're probably already back in line. read more

We stopped by after church and knew it must be really good since it was freezing and people were waiting outside to get into the bldg. Our family enjoyed a Sunday morning trip to Bears Bagels. We got a strawberry bagel with vanilla cheesecake schmear, an original bialy with garlic & chive schmear, and a Bears Best sandwich on an everything bagel. 10/10 for each! It was a busy morning in the shop, but the line moved quickly and everyone was pleasant. There are a couple small tables and chairs, but with the long line there wasn't much room to sit. This wasn't a problem for us since we planned to take ours home, but be prepared if it's a busy morning! Their instagram is updated often with new specials and lots of mouthwatering photos of their bagels. We can't wait to go back and try more. read more

What a lovely addition to old Hilliard! Something about Bears that I like is how their bagels are different than the traditional bagels you usually get other places. Not only in flavors, but the consistency is different from a New York type bagel. I personally suggest the rosemary sea salt bagel. Of course, you can never go wrong with everything as well!
