We stopped in for lunch on our way home and we were pleasantly surprised, when you sit down you have to remember your table number and then order at the front bar, they will bring out your food, we both had hamburgers mine was just the plain Jane hamburger and fries, the wife ordered a mushroom burger with tasty aioli sauce on it, get the aioli next time, overall the burgers were very well seasoned and tasted good, the fries seasoned as well and very tasty as well read more

The guy in front of me ordered a beer and the employee took the time to re adjust and make sure there wasn't much foam as well as wipe his glass down for him because "he didn't want it to be sticky". Used Favor to deliver two burgers, one legendary and one classic. The classic was over cooked but eatable, love the pickles. But the legendary burger had a piece of plastic in it. A little blue piece of plastic, it didn't hurt my wife but she did continue to eat the burger. The onion rings were still very crispy as were the fries. Decent burgers but just a bit overdone and besides the plastic filler, we'll probably eat here again. Will definitely visit the restaurant next time. read more

There's a decent variety of a beer here, about 8 to 12 types on tap at any given point. There's only been one that I haven't liked, and that was the Milky Way chocolate beer. The thing that really sets Bear King apart though is the quality of the food. You usually don't expect a lot from a bar, but I have enjoyed their queso and their tacos. I personally did not enjoy the poutine, but several of my friends did. Not a bad place to go for dinner and a drink. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise of a stop on our way back home to Austin from Inks Lake. We'd been to Blue Bonnet cafe before, and Bear King Brewing is right around the corner. The space is open and clean, though a bit nondescript, and it seems like they could make it a bit more "fun" other than just a bunch of TV screens. We started with a flight a beers, most of whose names we've forgotten, but all of them were good. We particularly liked the hazy IPA and got another pint of that to share. The food was better than expected. We got the Texas poutine as an app, and while we'd hardly call it poutine in any capacity, it was pretty good with the pulled meat and pico on top. For dinner, we split the turkey bigger and added the delight salad on the side, which was a decent portion. We enjoyed the burger, but there was a bit too much of whatever the spread was on it (pimento?) that was kind of overwhelming. The salad was basic, but got the "greens" job done. What this place really has going for it is value: decent food at a decent price. It's a pleasant atmosphere with friendly and competent service. We'd be happy to go again if we were nearby, but it's not really a "destination" spot. read more

We had been playing golf and stopped at the Bluebonnet Cafe for a late lunch and saw this place from it's parking lot. Looked cool, so we checked it out. Great vibe and great beer. Wished we had skipped the late lunch at the Bluebonnet and had eaten here. Everyone around us had great looking meals. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5, was that we did not have any food. We truly are trying to like this place. There were no enough servers and let's talk food. The nachos...I inquired where the cheese was and come to find its was under the top level of chips. So half your nachos has a queso underneath the chips. The brisket was about 4 chunks of meat hidden between the layers of chips so you had to literally break the meat apart. The pickled onions didn't taste well or the sour cream sauce drizzle didn't work well. This was shared with the other 3 people. The chocolate marshmallow stout was superb. The pimento cheese you really need to use Price's. The guacamole and chips with cheese were very good. We have faith!!!! read more

Made it out to Marble Falls last weekend to go to Sweet Berry Farms and stopped by this gem on the way home. Beer: We got the Foggy Eyes Hazy NEIPA and their Swiggy Juicy IPA. Both were really good renditions of the styles. They also are served in these super cute glasses that I strongly considered purchasing (may need to do so next time I'm here). Food: We got the truffle fries, veggie tacos, and shrimp tacos (not pictured). The fries were perfectly cooked and crisp. Throw some truffle on anything and I'm hooked. The veggie tacos were loaded with veggies and the shrimp tacos had a sweet and spicy mango salsa that was super good. I was super impressed by the food here. Atmosphere: This place could be in Austin. The build is super nice and they furnished it really well. It also had a steady stream of people on Sunday at 6 PM. Heading due north from San Antonio we hit the place literally by accident(great things can happen when you miss a turn!) I totally dig the clean industrial-modern vibe! Service was outstanding. My family wanted to sit together and watch the game after coming back from a memorial service. Unfortunately, there were too many us for the main dining room and we went outside where we were told there wasn't a server but we could order at the bar or scan a code at a table. Eventually a server did come help us and she was fantastic. Not only did she take care of all of us outside but continued to help us after we moved inside. She was so helpful and kind to all of us. The Prosecco they carry is delightful and the food was very good. My daughter was in love with the blonde beer on draft. I guess that folks who like this sort of thing, will find that this is the sort of thing they like. What we have here is a cross between a beer garden and a fast food restaurant, minus the "fast". We queued up to place our order fast-food style, then moved on to the beer counter for a cold brew. The menu is basically tacos, burgers, and salads. You take your pager and try to find a place to sit. We waited 35 minutes for the food to come out - you wait for your pager to buzz and go pick up the food yourself. My date's salad came out without the advertised goat cheese. She complained and they brought out some frozen goat cheese (not joking - it was frozen). Keep in mind that this is a soft opening, so glitches are expected. I'm sure that the kitchen will improve. Lots of craft beers, though I didn't order alcohol since their for lunch and had an hour drive back home. Menu is limited to tacos, burgers, and wings. I had the wings, and they were excellent. Be sure to order their truffle fries! They're to die for! Crisp, hot, tasty with aioli! Reasonable prices. The only area I thought needed improvement (hence 4 not 5 stars) was the service. I sat a while before my waitress came over, and then had to flag her down to get my check. Am understanding of staff shortages but place wasn't busy at all, and there were 4 wait staff walking by me before I was approached. I'll be back for sure! read more

My husband and I have had our eye on this place for a while now waiting for it to open. We drove by last Saturday and saw that it was opened. We were pumped! So we had to check it out. It was still during their soft opening. We were amazed at how friendly everyone was and how immaculate the place is. We had already eaten. So we didn't get to try the food, but the menu looks great. We'll definitely be back to try the food. There were only two drafts available that night. So we tried each, the blonde ale and the pale ale. Great addition to Marble Falls. We had lunch here yesterday and loved the outdoor seating area and selection of beers. All of the food was great. I had the carnitas tacos and friends had burgers. I loved the welcoming, casual atmosphere and all of the staff was very friendly. The only suggestion I have would be to add a few more things to the kids menu...perhaps a kids burger.
