I'm so happy we kept coming back here. The first time we tried the Doublehorn driving through marble falls I called ahead 30 minutes and then waited almost an hour for our food. Upsetting but the staff was so nice and apologetic and doing their best and the food was PHENOMENAL!! We always come back here on our way through and the wait time now is never more than 30 minutes for our food. I'm so glad that I didn't take a day they had an off day and judge them based on that. We decided to come back and pay them another visit in early July 2023. We arrived at 4 PM which is right when they open. This place does have a fairly simple interior which reflects the casual dining experience. Unfortunately the AC didn't seem to be able to keep up with the summer heat. We started things off with an amber and IPA followed by a dozen chicken wings (air fried?) which were nice-n- spicy. And just like last time, the fish came out of the fryer steaming hot with a generous batch of fries. The award-winning large veggie pizza came out we had to admit it was definitely generous with the veggies. However, you need to keep in mind that it is not a gluten-free crust and it is not vegan cheese. If you do decide to pay by credit card, it will be taken to the back and processed, no table card reader. It was another five-star experience, however, they lose half a star because the AC just couldn't keep up and it was somewhat uncomfortable. read more

I'm not a beer drinker, so truthfully I probably didn't belong here in the first place. But we were on a group motorcycle ride on Sunday morning, and this is where the group leader wanted to have lunch, so we went along. Wasn't very busy inside yet service was sort of slow. Hate to think how long it might take on a busy day. Our waitress was friendly enough though a bit demure and we had to ask/specify when we wanted our water/drinks refilled... which is weird. Like, it's a hot ass July day in Texas... if our glasses are sitting there empty on the table, we want more fluid, please keep them coming. This seems pretty obvious. But whatever. Food was decent but in no way amazing. I had a baja fish taco, which all on its lonesome cost $5; they were out of mac n' cheese which I would've gotten as a side. My husband got a Ruben sandwich for $12.99, which said it came with a side on the menu... only for him to be charged an additional $3 for fries... So that was pretty lame. Anyway, for being told that the place was "great" by the group leader, I was expecting better. At least the restrooms were clean and in good order I guess. Won't be returning. No seating sign or greeting. I got sick shortly after eating the Steak & Bleu pizza and fried mushrooms. Brooke was our "server." 30 min wait for one individual pizza and one app on a slow evening. Mushrooms were cold. She never looked at us again or apologized for the wait and also went outside on a long break (we only knew cause she told bar stool patrons.). She had one other table in the bar area. We had to go up to the bar to ask for plates, go up again later to ask for refills. She came back to the table with an attitude and put our new straws where we couldn't even reach them. I feel like people miss this spot because of the unassuming front being next to a thrift store and on a peculiar street. Don't let that stop you! The staff is very thoughtful, proactive, engaging (if the opportunity arises) and nice. The beer is good with enough variety of flavors for a brewery; not overwhelming at all, but I found something I liked. Again the staff was helpful and informative. Now this is what has me coming back. THE FOOD!!! So far everything has been fantastic. Fish and chips. Yep. Just what you want when you order this. Light batter, full yet flaky haddock. Yum. Chicken schnitzel sandwich... PERFECTLY cooked, which I did not expect to be honest, but they nailed it! I had this with Mac and cheese (recommended by our waiter to dip the sandwich in the cheese). Next level. Could be the best mac I've ever had. Chicken strips a full sized, perfectly battered and cooked. Onion rings are lightly battered and yummy. While polite and apologized, he never offered to comp a future meal visit which was surprising. Probably the worst service my family has gotten since moving to marble falls. After we got sat down probably took our waitress at least 20 minutes to take our order. Tables around us got some service but she completely skipped over our family. And when she did come by not a smile or sorry for the wait. Only gave us one refill on drinks and that is because I had to flag her down. Waited almost an hour for food before getting up and leaving. There were empty tables so they weren't slammed. Let's start with the positive.... Atmosphere is great. We arrived when they opened at 11am today (Saturday). Quick attentive service. My husband ordered the Double Horn burger -- it was the meat & perfect juicy, fresh bread, grilled onions etc.. a great burger with fries. I ordered the build your own burger with the added expense of Monterey cheese, grilled onions, and avocado. The burger came with tiny bit of pickles, one small tomato slice, lettuce. The meat was delicious. The rest was sad... Lukewarm at best. 3 - 1 inch grilled onions, small slice of avocado (one bite)... the bun was so stale I couldn't eat it!! I would give it a 4 out of 10... only because the meat was good. Also do not order the homemade chips!! Order the add $$ of the fries. Now back to the positive: the wine was good, but a tad pricey. This place is now under new ownership / management and the quality of food has increased tremendously. The staff is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The burgers are especially tasty, and they now offer the Beyond Burger for any vegetarians in your group. The beer is excellent - I especially enjoy the IPAs they have on tap. My fiance genuinely enjoy(ed) our Sunday outings to Doublehorn. Unfortunately they have made the change to only brunch all day on Sundays. She ordered the "eggs in purgatory" and while it sounds good. There was no mention of it being spicy, which it was. Plus it's just a bowl of spicy marinara with two fried eggs sitting on top. we stopped in late afternoon for some brews and some food. We weren't disappointed in our selection of bruise and had several favorites. The food menu was quite extensive and we settled on the spicy sausage pizza with mushrooms. Lots of food and you won't be disappointed. My favorite beer was one of the IPAs I believe it was called lake water. Regardless, lots of good choices and they even had three guest beers which we took advantage of one. My only complaint was that social distancing was not enforced here enough such that we felt uncomfortable and left a little in it earlier than what we would normally have. read more

No where on their website shows that Sundays are a brunch only menu. After a 45 minute wait we finally got our "food". The food quality was that of a little league baseball game. For St. Patrick's Day they had a loud band playing music, so loud in fact we couldn't hear each other at our own table. The only good thing there was the beer and it's only good so that you can't taste the nasty food. We need less than a one star to rate this place. read more

Second off the service was mediocre, no self seating sign, took 10 minutes for him to check up on us after getting the unseasoned food that was presented to us. Half the employees that are sitting at their long high top cocktail bar are drinking after shift in uniform shirts okay cool no big deal but the rest of the on staff employees are sitting with them when guests could be getting checked up on.... No prebussing at our table happened and we never got a proper check up after food. Mediocre and sadly disappointing restaurant, owners need to reevaluate their training and menu. read more

I was surprised our server didn't how do I wanted my meat cooked when I ordered the Double Horn. We waited longer than 1 hour for our food for 4 ppl. The restaurant was only 50 % full. I could hit someone with my burger across the table with it and knock them down, then I started thinking about playing beer pong with it, but I don't think the meat could bounce. I asked for ketchup and it never arrived to our table. They beer was good but they advertised some beers that were out. We sat down quickly, that was only the fast thing they knew how to do. This establishment was one we hadn't been to before and we thought, let's see what they got. We entered the restaurant and we greeted by cheerful servers and seated (socially distant of course). We did not know what kind of beer to get and our server recommended the "beer flight" which is few oz of 4 beers. We tried the blond to the dark to see which ones we might want to order in a larger glass. We also tried their super pretzel and pepperoni pizza. All of the food was very good as was the beer.
