My family and I ate here for breakfast after our hotel's breakfast came up short (ie, no meat). I am gluten-sensitive and the usual hotel fare just didn't cut it, so we headed to Beans. I ordered bacon and sausage, which were delicious! My husband ordered the All Ya'll Biscuits and Gravy with country potatoes, while my daughter ordered the Pancake Platter with bacon. Just popped in for elevensies and caffeine midway through a road trip and love this place! Partner had ham, egg and Brie sandwich on ancient grain toast; I had guacamole, bacon and egg on the same. For a small town, I was pretty impressed as to what Beans had to offer! I got a half salad (pecan chicken) and a half an avocado salmon wrap. The salad was delicious, with a large portion of chicken and a great balsamic dressing. The wrap was good, but very runny and messy. It was pretty packed with salmon, which was great, but nothing extraordinary. I would definitely go again, but would want to try something else!! read more

Omgoodness! Best wraps I've had around here. Hubby got an off the menu BLT, I got the chicken caesar wrap and my son got the smoked Turkey sandwich. Everything was fresh, crisp, the right temp. AND they have doughnuts and ice cream! Your sandwiches come with a pickle, coleslaw and 3 plain doughnut "beans" and you can make it a "meal" with chips and a drink. But I found chips was a bit much for me. The sandwiches are thick and the wraps big. I forgot to take pictures as we were in the moment! They serve breakfast sandwiches all day,but their full breakfast menu is limited to morning hours. It was busy when we were there so a little bit of a wait but not bad. You order at the counter, the five you a number tag and then bring it to you when its ready. We were there 30 min start to finish. And the restaurant itself is like eating in grandma's farm kitchen . You've got to me kidding me....first off there were literally 6 workers the day I stopped in around 3. There were 4 people in line, with 6 workers! Finally my turn to order and I asked if they had iced coffee. The cashier looked at me like I had 5 heads, and replied saying she could put ice in my coffee. I explained to her that iced coffee is brewed and then iced, served cold. She didn't have anything like that. I took a regular cup of coffee and she pointed me to the self serve station,only to find decaf. Too late , I had already paid. I'll be sure to stop at a gas station before going here again. read more

Looked to Yelp for help finding a local restaurant close to the Ark Encounter. Beans was the PERFECT place. They have everything from specialty coffees, smoothies, daily homemade melt-in-your-mouth donuts, pastries and breads, lunch menu (better than Panera), and hand-dipped ice cream. The black-n-blue salad w/tomato basil soup was delicious. I sampled my husband's chicken bacon cheddar sandwich w/potato soup-very good and fresh! First time here, friendly, wonderful staff. Nice menu selection. The baked goods looked fantastic but we were here for lunch. John had breakfast burritos and I had the chicken salad sandwich. Working in the area for a few weeks and stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. Between wifey & I, I've sampled just about all this place has to offer and I gotta say that I'm not disappointed. You would think this place is just a coffee and pastry shop by the name but you would be fooled. Stop in the AM and load up on FRESH breakfast sandwiches cooked to order on delicious sourdough or bagel. Combine it with soft donut (of many variations) and a coffee, you have yourself breakfast of champions. Lunch time is no different. Sandwiches & paninis are made with FRESH ingredients and all are delicious. Portions are filling with the combos bunched together with chips, drink, & donut holes to satisfy the afternoon sweet tooth. Combine all this with a friendly staff, kid friendly atmosphere (ice cream!), & an owner that will spark up a conversation, equals a panera bread dominator in my book. read more

This is a cute, sweet little bakery and coffee shop. The owner was friendly, and so were my fellow patrons. I tried the coconut doughnut, and it was extremely delicious. I could have had another. It was a yummy glazed cake with icing and coconut on top. The atmosphere is less trendy and less noisy than our average Starbucks. It was casual, friendly and had a hometown feel. My wife and I stopped here because we were staying in town for an early tour of AIG's 'Ark Encounter'. Saw the sign from the highway as we turned into Dry Ridge. We are so glad we did because the soup and sandwich meal we had was fantastic! It is a gem of a cafe that has a super friendly staff that create tasty doughnuts, pastries, mini pecan pies along with an all day breakfast, lunch and supper combos. Cute place, I am giving it 4 stars because for most people it would be ideal. For me, as a vegetarian who stays away from dairy/eggs, it makes it difficult to find food to eat. Their prices are very reasonable (especially with the Yelp coupon) and all the employees were very nice. I love that they serve Caribou coffee as well and play decent music. It's your pretty average donut place. They have all your standard donuts, and they're all average. Better than store bought, but nothing spectacular. I'd put them on par with Buskin's donuts. They also have ice cream and soft serve, and their orange creamsicle shake is pretty good. The prices are good, and they take credit card via square, but sometimes it doesn't work. If you need donuts or ice cream in Dry Ridge, this place is your best bet. read more
